Turkey has stopped all exports and imports to and from Israel, citing worsening humanitarian tragedy in the Palestinian territories. The Turkish Trade Ministry yesterday in a statement said, Ankara will strictly and decisively implement these new measures until the Israeli government allows an uninterrupted and sufficient flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The two countries had a trade volume of 6.8 billion dollars in 2023.
Reacting to Turkey’s decision, Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz on social media platform accused Ankara of disregarding the interests of the Turkish people and businessmen, and ignoring international trade agreements. Mr Katz said he has instructed the foreign ministry to work to create alternatives for trade with Turkey, focusing on local production and imports from other countries.
Turkey had last month imposed trade restrictions on Israel accusing Israel of refusing to allow Ankara to take part in aid air-drop operations for Gaza.
Palestinian group Hamas launched an unprecedented terror attack on 7th of October last year. Around 1200 people, mostly civilians were killed and roughly 250 others were taken back to Gaza as hostages. Israel responded by launching its most intense ever war in Gaza.

In T-20 women’s cricket, India beat hosts Bangladesh by seven wickets at Sylhet to clinch five match series 3-0 last night.
Earlier, having won the toss, India put the hosts in to bat first. A disciplined performance led Indian bowlers to restrict Bangladesh to 117/8 in the stipulated 20 overs. When the visitors came to bat, openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma put on 91 runs in just 12.1 overs to take India closer to a series win. The Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Authority warned of stringent action against people advertising online gaming and online gaming of chance. Tamil Nadu prohibition of online gaming and regulation of online games Act specifically provides for prohibition on playing online gambling and online game of chance, betting and others. Violators will be punished with imprisonment which may extend to three months or a penalty which may extend to rupees five thousand or both. They will be punished with imprisonment which may extend to one year or a penalty which may extend to rupees five lakh or both. If the offence is repeated they are liable for one to three years of imprisonment and a penalty of Rupees five lakh to Rupees ten lakh .

The School education Secretary J.Kumaragurubaran has said that the department is planning a survey to identify areas requiring repairs and infrastructure upgrades. The department will also initiate a cleaning drive and outsource sanitation services to improve hygiene. The Secretary said that the department will outsource sanitation staff for 1,954 schools across the State. Additionally the department has instructed district education officers to assess each school’s needs for essential improvements.

दिल्ली के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी कार्यालय द्वारा आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव में भागीदारी बढाने के लिए राजधानी के स्कूलों में “संकल्प पत्र” नाम की पहल शुरू की जा रही है। इस पहल के तहत, छात्र अपने अभिभावकों को शपथ पत्र देंगे, जिससे उन्हें चुनाव में अपने मतदान के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाएगा। निर्वाचन कार्यालय ने बताया कि इस पहल का उद्देश्य राजधानी के लगभग 50 लाख माता-पिता को मतदाता के रूप में अपने बच्चों से वादा करते हुए वोट डालने के लिए प्रेरित करना है।

दिल्ली एनसीआर के कई स्कूलों को बम की धमकी का ईमेल मिलने के मामले में दिल्ली पुलिस की स्पेशल सेल ने केस दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस ने बताया कि मामले की जांच की जा रही है। केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने विभिन्न स्कूलों को बम की धमकी संबंधी ईमेल को फर्जी करार दिया था। मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि अभी तक कुछ भी संदिग्ध नहीं मिला है। दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने दिल्ली पुलिस आयुक्त संजय अरोड़ा से बात की और इस मुद्दे पर विस्तृत रिपोर्ट मांगी।

BENGALURU METRO
The Bengaluru Water Supply Company (BWSSB ) has started supplying recycled water to the IT companies in the state capital. It supplied three lakh liters of treated zero bacterial water today to Wipro. Indian Institute of Science has developed a technology to produce zero bacterial water and BWSSB has adopted it in its Sewage treatment plants. Due to acute shortage of water this summer in the city, BWSSB had sought the help of the Indian Institute of Science to treat and reuse the water for garden, cleaning and other such utilities except human consumption. The Water Company has informed that 40 IT companies have shown interest in the usage of treated water. Wipro has sought the supply of three lakh litres of treated zero bacterial water everyday. The plan is to install the indigenous technology in all the 34 Sewage treatment plants and get 1,200 MLD of treated water every day and reduce the burden on Cauvery water in the city. BWSSB processes one crore litres of zero bacteria treated water every day.
