Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to inaugurate fifteen developmental works this afternoon at Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi. This includes hospital blocks, 101 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, 150 dialysis centres, 75 drones for policing, and laying the foundation stone for two waste-to-energy plants, among others. The launch of these development projects comes under the Delhi government’s 15-day ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ campaign, being organised on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday today. Commencing today, the Campaign will continue till the 2nd of October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Sports memorabilia gifted by India’s para-athletes will be a key attraction at the 7th edition of the e-auction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mementoes that will begin today. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said the e-auction coincides with Sewa Pakhwada, being organised across the country from today till October 2 to celebrate the Prime Minister’s birthday. Shekhawat said that this year’s edition will feature over 1,300 items, available for bidding on the official portal www.pmmementos.gov.in. The items are currently on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi. A special highlight of this edition is the sports memorabilia gifted by India’s para-athletes who participated in the Paris Paralympics 2024. The first auction of PM mementoes was held in January 2019. Since then, thousands of unique gifts presented to Prime Minister Modi have been auctioned, raising more than Rs 50 crore in support of the Namami Gange Project. He is the first Prime Minister of India to dedicate all mementoes he receives towards this noble cause.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today. Parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are also expected to receive light to moderate rainfall throughout the day. The Weather department further predicted thunderstorms and lightning in parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. Weather conditions over the Andaman and Nicobar region are expected to remain the same till the 22nd of this month. According to the Met Department, strong surface winds are likely to prevail today at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh.

मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने दिव्यांगों के लिए वित्तीय सहायता योजना शुरू करने कि घोषणा की है, जिसमे दिव्यांगजनों को प्रतिमाह छह हज़ार की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान कि जायेगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने जानकारी दी कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के जन्मदिवस के अवसर पर केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह इस योजना का उद्घाटन करेंगे। श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार ने समाज के सबसे कमजोर और संवेदनशील वर्गों के लिए यह ऐतिहासिक निर्णय लिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस योजना का उद्देश्य दिव्यांगजनों की देखभाल करने वाले सहायक का खर्च, फिजियोथेरेपी, स्पीच थेरेपी, मनोवैज्ञानिक परामर्श, सहायक उपकरणों तथा अन्य आवश्यक सहयोग सेवाओं के लिए है।

The National Institute of Ocean Technology is developing multiple technologies under the Mission Mausam project to improve weather forecast accuracy. Researchers will build the buoy platform, mooring systems, fuel cell battery technology and data management systems. These will be integrated with the compact radar developed by the National Atmospheric Research Lab at Tirupathi with staged trials. Balaji Ramakrishnan , Director, NIOT said that a 300 metre lidar demonstration will take place by the end of 2026. He informed that by next year, a full prototype covering up to 10 km in the sky from the ocean surface with indigenous technologies will be in place.

उच्च और तकनीकी शिक्षा विभाग, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के जन्मदिन के उपलक्ष्य में आज से 2 अक्टूबर तक महाराष्ट्र के सभी विश्वविद्यालयों और कॉलेजों में विभिन्न गतिविधियों का आयोजन करेगा। ये कार्यक्रम राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना – एनएसएस के माध्यम से आयोजित किए जाएँगे। उच्च और तकनीकी शिक्षा मंत्री चंद्रकांत दादा पाटिल ने कॉलेज के विद्यार्थियों से बड़ी संख्या में भाग लेने का आग्रह किया है। श्री पाटिल ने कहा कि इस पहल का उद्देश्य विकसित भारत 2047 मिशन के तहत विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरित करना है, जिसमें विकसित भारत संवाद ऑनलाइन व्याख्यान श्रृंखला, रक्तदान और स्वास्थ्य शिविर, स्वच्छता अभियान, पर्यावरण जागरूकता कार्यक्रम और सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियाँ शामिल हैं। स्वच्छता ही सेवा अभियान 2025 भी मनाया जाएगा, जिसमें 25 सितंबर को सार्वजनिक स्वच्छता अभियान और “एक दिन, एक घंटा, एक साथ” स्वच्छता शपथ जैसे विशेष अभियान शामिल होंगे।

Karnataka Higher Education Minister Dr M C Sudhakar has informed that the state Government has approached Asian Development Bank to strengthen higher education and skill development infrastructure across the state. He was speaking at the 17th edition of Manthan organised by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Bengaluru yesterday. The credit from ADB will equip government college students with aptitude to become job creators. It is also proposed to establish nine Centres of Excellence at the Engineering colleges and Polytechnics with a tie up with Original Equipment Manufacturers for offering hands-on exposure, certifications and training modules to the students. The graduates will collaborate with the entrepreneurs with access to AI driven technologies and nurture innovative business models in the shape of start ups. The minister also added that the students will be treating industry exposure as an integral part of their education.

Hyderabad Liberation Day is being celebrated today across. Telangana state marking the merger of the then Hyderabad state in the Union of India after the Operation Polo. To commemorate the integration of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad in the Indian Union on this day in 1948, Union Culture Ministry is celebrating the occasion on a grand scale at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who arrived in Hyderabad last evening, will be leading the Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations. Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Bandi Sanjay Kumar among others will also be attending the event. The event will witness a special parade by units of paramilitary forces and cultural presentations. Later, Rajnath Singh will be unveiling a statue of former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee at the Cantonment Park, close to the Parade Grounds.
On the other hand, the state government is celebrating the occasion officially as ‘Praja Palana Dinotsavam’ (प्रजा पालना दिनोत्सवम) means people’s governance day. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will be hoisting the national flag at the ceremonial event being held at Public Gardens in Hyderabad while, ministers and other designated dignitaries will hoist tricolour at the headquarters of districts. Two separate events have been held by the state and the Central governments to mark the day for the past few years.

Gopalakrishnan and T.N.Krishnan as part of the violin trinity of Carnatic music. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2001. His disciples included his two children Lalgudi G. J. R. Krishnan and Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi; his sister Lalgudi Srimathi Brahmanandam; former composer- conductor of All India Radio’s Vadya Vrinda National Orchestra P. Today is the death anniversary of Hasrat Jaipuri, born Iqbal Hussain, an Indian poet, who wrote in the Hindi and Urdu languages. He was also a renowned film lyricist in Hindi films, where he won the Filmfare Awards for Best Lyricist twice – in 1966 and 1972.

He began writing verse, when he was around twenty years old. Around the same time, he fell in love with a neighborhood girl name Radha. Hasrat talked about a love letter he wrote to this girl, in an interview, later in his life, that love knows no religion. Hasrat Jaipuri was quoted as saying, “It is not at all necessary that a Muslim boy must fall in love only with a Muslim girl.
