गणेश उत्सव का पर्व गणेश चतुर्थी के दिन से शुरू होकर 10 दिनों तक चलता है और इसका समापन अनंत चतुर्दशी को होता है। श्रोताओं अनंत चतुर्दशी का दिन भगवान विष्णु के अनंत रूप को भी समर्पित है, इसलिए इसे अनंत चतुर्दशी कहते हैं। इस दिन भक्त, भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करते हैं और अपने हाथ में 14 गांठों वाला अनंत सूत्र (रक्षा सूत्र) बांधते हैं। इस दिन भक्त भगवान गणेश की प्रतिमा को विधि-विधान के साथ विसर्जित करते हैं। अगले साल फिर से आने की विनती के साथ 10 दिनों की पूजा-अर्चना के बाद बप्पा को धूमधाम से विदा किया जाता है। विसर्जन की परंपरा केवल पूजा का समापन नहीं बल्कि आस्था और भावनाओं का अनोखा संगम है। माना जाता है कि गणपति अपने साथ भक्तों के दुखों को लेकर जाते हैं और उनके जीवन को खुशहाली से भर देते हैं।

For the Ganesh Visarjan ceremony, local administrations along with Mumbai police have made elaborate arrangements. The 10,000 strong surveillance camera network in the city will be used to monitor huge crowds coming to Mumbai beaches to bid final adieu to their beloved Bappa for this year. For women’s safety, Nirbhaya Squads will patrol the streets, besides policewomen dressed in plainclothes. For the first time, Mumbai Police will use AI technology during Ganpati Visarjan to manage crowds and monitor processions.
Hyderabad is all set for the annual Ganesh Visarjan today, with elaborate security and civic arrangements in place. The main Shoba Yatra procession begins from Balapur’s Katta Maisamma temple and winds through key city areas, merging with tributary processions from various localities.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has arranged over 380 cranes, temporary lighting, and deployed sanitation staff for cleanup. Boats, swimmers, and Disaster Response Force teams are stationed at immersion points. Police Commissioner CV Anand and senior officials are monitoring the event from the Command Control Centre.
The city is witnessing a grand yet orderly conclusion to the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime will improve consumption by citizens and will not impact capital expenditure. In an interview to a private news channel, Ms Sitharaman said, 99 per cent of all the goods and services are now either in the zero, five or 18 per cent bracket.
Ms. Sitharaman said, it was the first time that both the issue of Compensation Cess and a comprehensive proposal on GST have been taken up by the Centre. The Minister said, Petroleum and alcohol products will be outside of GST.
The Minister informed the government is working on measures to support exporters who are impacted by the 50 per cent US tariffs.

केंद्रीय दल ने कटरा के आध्यात्मिक विकास केंद्र में समीक्षा बैठक में भी भाग लिया, जहाँ रियासी की उपायुक्त निधि मलिक ने जान-माल, पशुधन, फसलों, घरों, सरकारी संपत्ति और सामुदायिक संपत्तियों के नुकसान का विस्तृत ब्यौरा प्रस्तुत किया। उन्होंने पुनर्निर्माण कार्यों, राहत कार्यों और पुनर्वास उपायों से भी दल को अवगत कराया। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि प्रभावित लोगों के लिए माहोर, जेम्सलान और सरह में राहत शिविर बनाए गए हैं जहां खाद्य सामग्री, आश्रय, चिकित्सा सहायता और अन्य आवश्यक वस्तुएं उपलब्ध कराई जा रही हैं।

केंद्रीय कपड़ा मंत्री गिरिराज सिंह ने शुक्रवार को कोलकाता के निकट उत्तर 24 परगना जिले के बैरकपुर स्थित केंद्रीय जूट एवं संबद्ध रेशा अनुसंधान संस्थान (ICAR CRIJAF) का दौरा किया। उन्होंने इस प्रमुख अनुसंधान संस्थान के विभिन्न स्थानों का निरीक्षण किया। मंत्री ने कहा कि 2030 तक भारत को 2.5 करोड़ टन प्राकृतिक रेशों का उत्पादन करने की आवश्यकता है और केंद्र सरकार जूट एवं संबद्ध रेशों का उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए हर संभव कदम उठा रही है। उन्होंने पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि इसने राज्य में कई जूट मिलों को बंद होने से रोकने के लिए कोई कदम नहीं उठाया। मंत्री ने मीडिया को बताया कि केंद्र सरकार ने जूट किसानों के लिए बाज़ार तैयार किया है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि सरकार जूट के विविधीकरण के लिए कदम उठा रही है।

सबसे पहले करते हैं नमन भारतीय सेना के एक जांबाज अधिकारी मेजर मेजर धन सिंह थापा को। मेजर धन सिंह थापा को 1962 के भारत-चीन युद्ध में उत्कृष्ट वीरता के लिए परमवीर चक्र प्रदान किया गया। गोरखा राइफल्स के मेजर धन सिंह थापा को युद्ध के दौरान चीनी सेना ने पकड लिया था और उनके साथ बर्बरता पूर्ण व्यवहार किया गया। युद्ध के दौरान धन सिंह थापा पान गौंग त्सो (झील) के तट पर सिरी जाप मोर्चे पर तैनात थे, जहाँ उनके पराक्रम ने उन्हें परमवीर चक्र के सम्मान का अधिकारी बनाया। युद्ध बंदी से मुक्त होकर भारत आने के बाद उन्होंने भारतीय फौज को फिर से अपनी सेवाएं दीं और लेफ़्टिनेंट कर्नल के पद से सेवा निवृत्त हुए। मेजर धन सिंह थापा ने 6 सितम्बर, 2005 को इस दुनिया को अलविदा कहा।
