The 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will begin today in Tianjin, China. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tianjin to participate in the summit. The two-day deliberations are being attended by top leaders from more than 20 countries and heads of 10 international organizations. This is the fifth time that China is hosting the SCO Summit, which will be chaired by President Xi Jinping. Under China’s chairmanship, the year 2025 has been declared as the “SCO Year of Sustainable Development.”
With the theme “Upholding the Shanghai Spirit: SCO on the Move,” the two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will begin today in Tianjin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tianjin yesterday to attend the summit, where he was accorded a grand welcome from the airport to the hotel. People turned out in large numbers, eager to greet and meet the Prime Minister. On this occasion, Chinese-origin artists, trained in Indian classical music by renowned Indian musicians, presented soulful renditions accompanied by Indian instruments, making the welcome ceremony truly memorable. The summit will review SCO’s achievements over the past 25 years, adopt a ten-year development strategy, and deliberate on crucial issues such as regional security, connectivity, sustainable development, counter-terrorism, and cultural cooperation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has stressed that self-reliance in defence is not merely an option, but a condition for survival and progress. भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक- आरबीआई के गवर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा ने कहा है कि भारत जल्द ही दुनिया की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था बन जाएगा। उन्होंने देश के विकास में तेजी के लिए प्रधानमंत्री जन धन योजना को श्रेय दिया। इंदौर के रंगवासा गांव में सरकारी बैंकों के वित्तीय समावेशन अभियान “संतृप्ति शिविर” को संबोधित करते हुए श्री मल्होत्रा ने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार और रिजर्व बैंक ने 11 साल पहले बैंकों के सहयोग से जन धन योजना शुरू की थी, जिससे पूरे देश में विकास हुआ। उन्होंने कहा कि देश की विकास यात्रा में सभी वर्गों की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए इस योजना के अंतर्गत 55 करोड़ खाते खोले गए, जिससे उन्हें बचत, पेंशन, बीमा, ऋण और अन्य सेवाएं प्रदान की जा रही हैं।

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कहा है कि उनकी सरकार दिल्ली के खिलाड़ियों के कठिन परिश्रम, त्याग और समर्पण को विश्व पटल तक पहुंचाने के लिए संकल्पित है। कल दिल्ली के त्यागराज स्टेडियम में मुख्यमंत्री खेल प्रोत्साहन योजना के अंतर्गत आयोजित संवाद कार्यक्रम में उन्होंने कहा कि विश्वस्तरीय खेल ढाँचा, उच्चस्तरीय प्रशिक्षण, लगातार सहयोग और खिलाड़ियों को 7 करोड़ रूपए तक की पुरस्कार राशि के साथ-साथ सरकारी सेवा के माध्यम से सम्मान दिया जा रहा है।

दिल्ली नगर निगम की स्थायी समिति की अध्यक्ष सत्या शर्मा ने मसूदपुर, बिजवासन और द्वारका में पांच एनिमल बर्थ कंट्रोल केंद्रों का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने द्वारका सेक्टर 29 और बिजवासन में डॉग शेल्टर सेंटर के निर्माण के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि निगम का उद्देश्य दिल्ली में पशु कल्याण और नागरिक हित- दोनों के लिए प्रभावी कदम उठाना है जिससे कि शहर में आवारा कुत्तों की समस्या हल हो सके।

महाराष्ट्र के परिवहन मंत्री श्री प्रताप सरनाईक ने कहा है कि राज्य सरकार ई-बाइक टैक्सी नीति को अंतिम रूप देने की प्रक्रिया में है। उन्होंने कहा कि संबंधित संगठनों को लाइसेंस प्राप्त कर अपनी ई-बाइक टैक्सी सेवाएँ शुरू करनी चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि मोटर परिवहन विभाग, रैपिडो, ओला, उबर जैसी कंपनियों के खिलाफ लगातार कार्रवाई करेगा, जो सरकारी आदेश के बावजूद बिना लाइसेंस के बाइक टैक्सी सेवाएँ संचालित कर रही हैं।
श्री सरनाईक ने कहा कि नागरिकों से मुंबई महानगर क्षेत्र में बिना लाइसेंस के बाइक-टैक्सी सेवाएँ चलाने की कई शिकायतें मिली हैं। सरकार ने लाइसेंस प्राप्त होने तक ऐसी सेवाओं को बंद करने का आदेश दिया है और संबंधित कंपनियों ने इस संबंध में एक हलफनामा भी प्रस्तुत किया है।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने तालुका स्तर पर तहसीलदार की अध्यक्षता में वंशावली समिति का कार्यकाल अगले वर्ष 30 जून तक बढ़ा दिया है। यह समिति मराठा समुदाय के पात्र सदस्यों, विशेष रूप से कुनबी, मराठा-कुनबी और कुनबी-मराठा जातियों के लोगों को जाति प्रमाण पत्र और जाति वैधता प्रमाण पत्र जारी करने के लिए ज़िम्मेदार है। सामाजिक न्याय मंत्री संजय शिरसाट द्वारा दी गई जानकारी के अनुसार, सामाजिक न्याय और विशेष सहायता विभाग ने यह सरकारी निर्णय जारी किया है। इसका उद्देश्य पात्र व्यक्तियों को जाति प्रमाण पत्र और वैधता प्रमाण पत्र जारी करने में सुविधा प्रदान करना है।

कोलकाता मेट्रो रेलवे प्राधिकरण ने पश्चिम बंगाल लोक सेवा आयोग की विविध सेवा परीक्षा के बीच आज दक्षिणेश्वर स्टेशन और महानायक उत्तम कुमार स्टेशन के बीच ब्लू लाइन पर मेट्रो ट्रेन सेवाओं में वृद्धि करने का निर्णय लिया है। मेट्रो सेवाएँ आज सुबह 7 बजे से शुरू हो गई हैं। अप और डाउन लाइनों पर 130 की बजाय कुल 138 मेट्रो ट्रेनें चलाई जाएँगी।

The Telangana State Cabinet has decided to amend the state’s Panchayat Raj Act of 2018 to allow the state to exceed the 50 per cent cap on overall reservations in rural local body polls. The polls are scheduled to be held in September. After the Cabinet meeting, State BC Welfare and Revenue Ministers P Prabhakar and Srinivas Reddy informed the media in Hyderabad. He said, the government is committed to implement 42 per cent reservations for Backward Classes (BCs). In the 2018 Act, the previous government in the state, had capped reservations at 50 percent in line with the Supreme Court’s overall cap over reservation.

आज जयंती है प्रसिद्ध कवयित्री, उपन्यासकार और निबंधकार अमृता प्रीतम की। उन्हें 20वीं सदी की पंजाबी भाषा की सर्वश्रेष्ठ कवयित्री माना जाता है। अमृता ने लगभग 100 पुस्तकें लिखी हैं, जिनमें उनकी चर्चित आत्मकथा रसीदी टिकट भी शामिल है। अमृता प्रीतम उन साहित्यकारों में थीं, जिनकी कृतियों का अनेक भाषाओं में अनुवाद हुआ। अमृता उन विरले साहित्यकारों में से है जिनका पहला संकलन 16 साल की उम्र में प्रकाशित हुआ। विभाजन की विभीषीका पर इनके उपन्यास पिंजर पर एक फ़िल्म भी बनी जो ख़ासी चर्चा में रही। अमृत लहरें, जिन्दा जियां, ट्रेल धोते फूल, ओ गीता वालियां, बदलम दी लाली उनके प्रमुख काव्य संग्रहों में से हैं। अमृता ने कैली कामिनी और अनीता, यह कलम यह काग़ज़ यह अक्षर, ना राधा ना रुक्मणी, जलते बुझते लोग और जलावतन जैसे उपन्सायों से भी ख़ासी लोकप्रियता प्राप्त की। उन्हें पद्म विभूषण, पद्मश्री, साहित्य अकादमी, और ज्ञानपीठ जैसे कई पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया। पेश हैं पंजाबी भाषा में लिखी गई उनकी लोकप्रिय कविता मैं तैनूं फेर मिलांगी. की कुछ पंक्तियां…

Subbayya Sivasankaranarayana Pillai (5 April 1901 – 31 August 1950) was an Indian mathematician specialising in number theory. His contribution to Waring’s problem was described in 1950 by K. S. Chandrasekharan as “almost certainly his best piece of work and one of the very best achievements in Indian Mathematics since Ramanujan”.Srinivasa Ramanujan’s story is now part of the folklore of mathematics. But there was another number theorist who could have followed in Ramanujan’s footsteps but remains relatively unsung.
But he left back 76 excellent research articles in mathematics, which were compiled into the book “Collected works of Sivasankaranarayana Pillai” by R Balasubramanian and R Thangadurai and published by Ramanujan Mathematical Society in 2009. The book has inspired many generations of mathematicians.
