प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी आज दिल्ली में फिजी के प्रधानमंत्री सितिवेनी राबुका के साथ वार्ता करेंगे। श्री राबुका तीन दिन की भारत यात्रा पर कल नई दिल्ली पहुंचे। शिक्षा और पूर्वोत्तर राज्य विकास राज्यमंत्री सुकांता मजुमदार ने हवाई अड्डे पर उनकी अगवानी की। श्री राबुका के साथ उनकी पत्नी सुलेती राबुका भी भारत आई हैं। फिजी से आए शिष्टमंडल में स्वास्थ्य और चिकित्सा सेवा मंत्री रातु अतोनियो ललाबलावु और वरिष्ठ अधिकारी शामिल हैं। केन्द्रीय मंत्री जे पी नड्डा ने कल शाम श्री राबुका से मुलाकात की। विदेश मंत्रालय के वक्तव्य में कहा गया है कि प्रधानमंत्री राबुका की यह पहली भारत यात्रा है। इस दौरान वे राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु से भी मिलेंगे। इस यात्रा से भारत और फिजी के संबंध और सुदृढ़ होंगे। दोनों देशों ने सभी क्षेत्रों में द्विपक्षीय संबंध और लोगों के बीच संपर्क बढ़ाने की प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की है।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat beginning today. During the visit, Mr Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth over 5,400 crore rupees at Khodaldham ground in Ahmedabad this evening. Prime Minister will also address a public function on the occasion. The projects to be launched today are related to urban development, energy, roads, and railways.
On the second day of his visit tomorrow, Mr Modi will inaugurate localised production of hybrid battery electrodes and flag-off Battery electric vehicle exports to 100 countries at Hansalpur in Ahmedabad. We have a report from our correspondent:
In line with the Government’s vision for world-class infrastructure and connectivity, the Prime Minister will dedicate multiple railway projects worth over Rs. 1,400 crore to the nation. This includes the doubling of the 65 km Mahesana-Palanpur rail line, gauge conversion of the Kalol-Kadi-Katosan Road and Bechraji-Ranuj rail lines, enhancing broad-gauge capacity for safer and smoother connectivity in North Gujarat. He will also flag off a passenger train between Katosan Road and Sabarmati, and launch a car-loaded freight train service from Bechraji.In addition, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the widening of the Viramgam-Khudad-Rampura road and lay the foundation for six-lane underpasses on the Ahmedabad-Mehsana-Palanpur route, along with a railway overbridge on the Ahmedabad-Viramgam road. रूस में भारत के राजदूत विनय कुमार ने कहा कि भारत अपने राष्ट्रीय हित की रक्षा के लिये हर उपाय करेगा और जहां से भी सस्ता तेल मिलेगा, खरीद जारी रखेगा। रूस की समाचार एजेंसी को साक्षात्कार में श्री विनय कुमार ने कहा कि रूस से तेल खरीदने के कारण भारत से आयात पर 25 प्रतिशत शुल्क बढ़ाकर कुल 50 प्रतिशत करने का अमरीका का निर्णय पूरी तरह अनुचित और असंगत है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की ऊर्जा नीति का उद्देश्य अपने नागरिकों के लिए विश्वसनीय आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करना है तथा रूस और अन्य देशों के साथ उसके सहयोग ने वैश्विक तेल बाजार की स्थिरता में योगदान दिया है।
श्री विनय कुमार ने कहा कि भारत और रूस का व्यापार परस्पर हितों और बाजार कारकों से संचालित है। उन्होंने कहा कि अमरीका और यूरोपीय देशों सहित अन्य देश भी रूस के साथ व्यापार करते हैं।

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that India aspires to be among the top five sporting nation in the world by 2047, the centenary of the country’s independence. Addressing the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships at Ahmedabad, Mr Mandaviya said, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has progressed by leaps and bounds in the sporting sector and many reforms have been introduced in the area. He said, the Prime Minister has kept a goal to take the country among top 10 in the world in the next 10 years. The minister said the need of the hour is to create a sporting ecosystem in the country and the government is dedicated to creating that. Mr Mandaviya said, in the last Parliament session the government introduced the Sports Governance Bill, which is an athlete-centric bill. The Bill gives importance to women’s representation in National Sports Federations.

India’s Sharvari Somnath Shende won the U18 women’s individual recurve gold medal at the 2025 World Youth Archery Championships in Winnipeg, Canada, yesterday. The 16-year-old defeated South Korea’s Kim Yewon 6-5 in a tense final.
Shende led 4-1 after the first three sets, but Kim came back strong to tie the match and force a shoot-off. In the deciding shot, Kim scored 9, while Shende hit a perfect 10 to clinch the gold.
Shende is the second Indian woman to win gold at the ongoing tournament. Earlier on Saturday, Chikitha Taniparthi won the U21 women’s compound individual title. She defeated Korea’s Yerin Park by 142-136 in the compound Under 21 women’s gold medal match.

The Officers Training Academy -Nanganallur metro station will have a second entrance this year. The additional structure for the entry and exit for commuters on the officers training academy side will be constructed with three floors measuring 364 sq.m . When the work gets completed commuters can enter the station from the OTA side, and the structure will have lifts and escalators to reach the concourse and the Station.

The Greater Chennai Corporation will revamp gender club activities in its schools through a four day orientation for teachers and headmasters. The gender clubs first introduced three years ago by the Gender and policy lab in collaboration with GCC, were initially aimed at sensitising Class 9 and 10 students on equity and inclusivity. The initiative is now being extended to Class 8 students with plans to take it further down to lower grades. Currently , 130 middle schools and 81 high and higher secondary schools under GCC run gender clubs. The idea was to institutionalise discussions on gender equality .

World famous Mysore Dasara will be inaugurated by Banu Mushtaq, the Booker prize winner atop Chamundi Hill on September 22nd. As is the custom, Banu Mushtaq will inaugurate Dasara festival by offering puja at the Chamundi temple. The 11 days festivities that will conclude with culturally vibrant Jumbo Savaari procession on the Vijayadashmi day will also see a spectacular flight display by the Indian Air Force. During the Jumbo Savaari procession, Goddess Chamundeshwari is placed on a golden howdah on the back of a decorated elephant and taken on a procession, accompanied by tableaux, folk artists, music bands, decorated elephants, horses and police marching contingent. The five kilometers long procession starts from Mysore palace and culminates at Bannimantap, where the Banni tree is worshipped. Banu Mushtaq won a Booker prize this year for her Kannada work Hrudaya Deepa. She was associated with farmers’ organisations, Kannada activists and progressive movements.

वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण को भेजे गए एक पत्र में कैट ने कहा है कि प्रधानमंत्री का जीएसटी को सरल बनाने और कर श्रेणी को तर्कसंगत करने का दृष्टिकोण देश के व्यापार तंत्र को और सुदृढ़ करेगा, जिससे छोटे खुदरा व्यापारी, किराना स्टोर और विशेष रूप से छोटे दुकानदार लाभान्वित होंगे।

आत्मनिर्भर भारत के निर्माण की दिशा में एक बड़े कदम के रूप में, महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर ज़िले के सतनावरी गाँव को आधिकारिक रूप से भारत का पहला स्मार्ट और इंटेलिजेंट विलेज घोषित किया गया है। इस पहल का औपचारिक शुभारंभ कल महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा कि पहले चरण में समूचे महाराष्ट्र के लगभग तीन हजार पांच सौ गाँवों को स्मार्ट और इंटेलिजेंट गाँवों में बदला जाएगा। राज्य के प्रत्येक तालुका में शीघ्र ही कम से कम 10 ऐसे गाँव होंगे।
सतनावरी का परिवर्तन, दूरसंचार मंत्रालय के अधीन कार्यरत वॉयस ऑफ इंडियन कम्युनिकेशन टेक्नोलॉजी एंटरप्राइजेज तथा 24 भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनियों, महाराष्ट्र राज्य सरकार और नागपुर जिला प्रशासन के सहयोग से संभव हुआ।
पिछले सप्ताह राज्य भर में हुई भारी बारिश की वजह से, महाराष्ट्र के बांधों में जल संग्रहण 82 प्रतिशत तक पहुँच गया है, जो पिछले साल की इसी अवधि की तुलना में 12 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्शाता है। नागपुर, अमरावती, छत्रपति संभाजीनगर, नासिक, पुणे और कोंकण संभागों के जलाशयों में औसत से अधिक जल स्तर दर्ज किया गया है। गौरतलब है कि मराठवाड़ा, जो अक्सर सूखे की मार झेलता रहता है, में भी इस साल 75 प्रतिशत जल संग्रहण दर्ज किया गया है, जिससे किसानों और निवासियों को राहत मिली है|

बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम (बीएमसी) ने इस वर्ष गणेशोत्सव के लिए पर्यावरण के अनुकूल उत्सवों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए व्यापक तैयारियाँ की हैं। सुरक्षित मूर्ति विसर्जन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए, नागरिक निकाय ने शहर भर में 275 से अधिक कृत्रिम तालाब बनाए हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, बीएमसी ने 500 से अधिक मूर्तिकारों को 990 टन नि:शुल्क शादु मिट्टी वितरित की है और एक हजार 22 मूर्तिकारों को अपनी कार्यशालाएँ स्थापित करने के लिए निःशुल्क स्थान प्रदान किया है। पायलट आधार पर, दस हजार 800 लीटर पर्यावरण के अनुकूल प्राकृतिक रंग और प्राइमर भी आपूर्ति किए गए हैं।

कोलकाता महानगर विकास प्राधिकरण ने शहर के फ्लाईओवरों और पुलों के नीचे बने अनाधिकृत विक्रेताओं और घरों को हटाने की पहल की है।
प्राधिकरण द्वारा चार पुलों को पहले ही साफ़ कर दिया गया है और स्थायी ग्रिल लगा दी गई हैं। यह पहल पिछले दिसंबर में कोलकाता के न्यू अलीपुर इलाके में दुर्गापुर पुल के नीचे आग लगने की घटना के बाद की गई है, जिसमें पुल का कंक्रीट क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया था।

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has asked researchers and entrepreneurs from the state to innovate for the world as it becomes an uncertain place with tariffs, costs and trade barriers. Speaking at the Biodesign Innovation Summit 2025, organised by AI and MedTech Foundation in Hyderabad, he unveiled the vision document ‘Innovations for Bharat: The BioDesign Blueprint’. He said the time has come to use intelligence for helping the country as the best minds of the country have been solving problems for other countries. He assured the government’s support as a “proactive partner” to the vision of biodesign and said that medical data will be shared with research institutes but with “strict data privacy”. He emphasised on the need for connecting researchers to academic institutions, research, innovations, innovation bodies, skill universities and corporations. The Chief Minister reiterated the vision of Telangana Rising and the aspiration of becoming the 3 trillion-dollar economy by 2047 when India turns to 100.

असित सेन (24 सितंबर 1922 – 25 अगस्त 2001) आज हम याद कर रहे हैं फ़िल्म निर्देशक, छायाकार, वृत्तचित्र फ़िल्म निर्माता और पटकथा लेखक असित सेन को। जिन्होंने बंगाला और हिंदी दोनों सिनेमा में काम किया ।
उन्होंने हिंदी और बंगाला में 17 फ़ीचर फ़िल्मों का निर्देशन किया और उन्हें बंगाला में दीप ज्वेले जय (1959) और उत्तर फाल्गुनी (1963), हिंदी में ममता (1966), खामोशी (1969), अनोखी रात (1968) और सफ़र (1970) फ़िल्मों के लिए जाना जाता है।
चार दशकों से अधिक के करियर के साथ अपने समय के एक प्रमुख फिल्म निर्माता के रूप में याद किए जाने वाले, विभिन्न भारतीय भाषाओं में फिल्में बनाते हुए, असित सेन का भारतीय सिनेमा में योगदान उस युग के अन्य दिग्गजों के साथ विशेष उल्लेख का पात्र है। रेनू अधिकतर लोग उन्हें अभिनेता ( असित सेन ) समझने की भूल कर बैठते हैं।सेन को दो बार फ़िल्मफ़ेयर सर्वश्रेष्ठ निर्देशक पुरस्कार के लिए नामांकित किया गया और एक बार जीता।
1967 में उन्हें ममता के निर्देशन के लिए नामांकित किया गया और 1971 में सफ़र के लिए पुरस्कार मिला , जिसमें राजेश खन्ना , शर्मिला टैगोर और फिरोज़ खान ने अभिनय किया था । असित सेन का 25 अगस्त 2001 को 79 वर्ष की आयु में इन्होंने इस दुनिया को अलविदा कहा लेकिन इनकी फिल्में और उसके गाने आज भी जब बजते हैं तो मन को एक अजीब सा सुकून मिलता है।
