“Devotees from across the country and around the world have already begun arriving at the holy city Dwaraka to witness the sacred rituals that began early this morning with Mangala Aarti The rituals will continue throughout the day with various offerings and darshan and will culminate in a spectacular midnight aarti tonight when the temple will erupt in joyous chants ‘Jai kanahaiyya lal ki’ welcoming the birth of the divine Lord Krishna. In Maharashtra, two people lost their lives and two others were injured in a mudslide in the Vikhroli area near Mumbai last night. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. when soil and rocks slid down from a nearby hillside and collapsed onto a hut.

The Met Department also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat Region. The Madras High Court has ordered the Tamil Nadu government to publish a step-by-step booklet on complying with the Surrogacy Act, to be uploaded online within four weeks. Justice N. Anand Venkatesh issued the directive while hearing a plea from GG Hospital, a surrogate mother, and an intending couple seeking to condone a procedural lapse-initiating surrogacy without obtaining a mandatory parental order. The surrogate mother, now 11 weeks pregnant with twins, faces uncertainty as she may have to raise the children if the process isn’t legally approved.

South Western Railway has recorded zero consequential accidents since January, thanks to major safety upgrades including 16 Road Over Bridges, 27 Road Under Bridges, 10 Foot Over Bridges, and 54 km of safety fencing. General Manager Mukul Saran Mathur highlighted record freight loading of 29.55 million tonnes, generating ₹3,056 crore in revenue. Over ₹1,000 crore was invested in track renewal, enabling speeds up to 130 kmph. Since January, 53 km of new rail lines were commissioned, with 89% of the network electrified and 89% punctuality achieved. The Division continues to drive regional socio-economic growth.

GHMC Supports Transgender and Women Empowerment Initiatives
At Independence Day celebrations, GHMC distributed ₹1.15 crore to 155 transgender individuals for starting microenterprises after completing skill training. Mayor G. Vijayalakshmi also handed out job offer letters to five transgenders trained in fields like graphic design. Additionally, GHMC disbursed over ₹288 crore in loans to nearly 2,600 women self-help groups and issued driving licences to five women to aid their livelihoods, emphasizing inclusive development.

दिल्ली के हुमायूँ के मकबरे के नज़दीक एक दरगाह के कमरे की दीवार गिरने से लगभग पांच लोगों की मृत्यु हो गई है। दिल्ली पुलिस के संयुक्त आयुक्त संजय जैन ने बताया है कि इस घटना में करीब दस लोग घायल हुए हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि सूचना मिलने के साथ ही पुलिस, अग्निशमन और अन्य विभागों ने राहत और बचाव कार्य शुरू किया।
इस बीच, दक्षिण पूर्व दिल्ली के जिला मजिस्ट्रेड डॉक्टर श्रवण बागरिया ने बताया कि मामले की जांच चल रही है और यदि भारतीय पुरातत्व विभाग के संरक्षण वाली इस दरगाह में कोई अवैध रूप से रह रहा था तो कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
