प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में कल हुई मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक में कई विकास परियोजनाओं और राहत पैकेज को मंजूरी दी गई। मंत्रिमंडल ने उज्ज्वला योजना की सब्सिडी जारी रखने, तेल कंपनियों को क्षतिपूर्ति और असम तथा त्रिपुरा के लिए विशेष विकास पैकेज सहित कई महत्वपूर्ण फैसले लिए। सरकार ने 12 हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की अनुमानित लागत से वर्ष 2025-26 के लिए प्रधानमंत्री उज्‍ज्‍वला योजना के उपभोक्‍ताओं के लिए सब्‍सिडी जारी रखने को स्‍वीकृति दे दी है। सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्‍णव ने बताया कि सरकार रसोई गैस सिलेंडर पर 300 रुपये तक की सब्सिडी देगी।

श्री वैष्णव ने बताया कि सरकार ने तमिलनाडु में चार लाइन के मरक्‍कनम–पुद्दुचेरी राजमार्ग के निर्माण को भी स्‍वीकृति दी।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann ki Baat programme on Akashwani has generated over 34 crore rupees revenue since its inception. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan said this in a written reply in Rajya Sabha Yesterday. He said that through these monthly radio episodes, the Prime Minister shares inspiring stories of Indians doing impactful work in areas such as education, health, environment, innovation, and social service. Mr Murugan said a large segment of the audience engages by listening to the programme on Akashvani, which broadcasts it live across its national and regional network. Simultaneously, the programme is telecast on various Doordarshan national and regional language channels. He said, there is significant Expansion in Audience Engagement for ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Digital Platforms Including YouTube and OTT. Mr Murugan said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat continue to lead as a national platform showcasing grassroots achievers and inspiring citizen participation in nation-building.

सरकार ने कहा है कि देश में टमाटर की खुदरा कीमतें स्‍थानीय कारणों से बढ़ रही हैं। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि टमाटर को लेकर न तो मांग-आपूर्ति में कोई असंतुलन है और न ही इसके उत्‍पादन में कमी आई है। उपभोक्‍ता मामले, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय ने कहा कि जुलाई के अंतिम सप्‍ताह से देश के उत्‍तर-पश्चिमी और उत्तरी क्षेत्रों में तेज बारिश के कारण दिल्ली में टमाटर की कीमतें 85 रुपये किलो तक पहुंच गई थीं। लेकिन, आजादपुर मंडी में टमाटर की लगातार उपलब्धता के कारण अब इसकी खुदरा क़ीमतों में कमी आ रही है।

रेलवे ने साढे चार किलोमीटर लंबी मालगाड़ी-रुद्राष्ट्र का सफल परीक्षण कर एक बड़ी सफलता हासिल की है। रेलमंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव के अनुसार, यह एशिया की सबसे लंबी मालगाड़ी भी है। परीक्षण के दौरान इस मालगाड़ी ने उत्तरप्रदेश में चंदौली के गंजख़्वाजा रेलवे स्टेशन से झारखंड के गढवा के बीच की 209 किलोमीटर की दूरी, साढे चालीस किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटे की रफ्तार से पांच घंटे 10 मिनट में तय की। इस ट्रेन में 7 इंजन और 345 वैगन थे।

दिल्ली स्कूल-फीस

दिल्ली विधानसभा ने स्कूल फीस विनियमन विधेयक पारित कर दिया है। इसका उद्देश्य दिल्ली के गैर-सरकारी स्कूलों में मनमाने तरीके से फीस वृद्धि पर रोक लगाना है। इस विधेयक के पारित होने के बाद, अब दिल्ली के निजी स्कूलों को फीस बढ़ोत्तरी के लिए बच्चों के माता-पिता की सहमति लेनी होगी। दिल्ली के शिक्षा मंत्री आशीष सूद ने विधानसभा में कहा कि अगर एक भी अभिभावक फीस वृद्धि के प्रस्ताव से असहमत हो, तो उसे मंजूरी नहीं दी जाएगी।

दिल्ली स्कूल शिक्षा फीस निर्धारण और विनियमन में पारदर्शिता विधेयक, 2025 के अनुसार, मनमाने ढंग से फीस बढ़ाने वाले स्कूलों पर जुर्माना लगाया जा सकता है और उनसे भविष्य में फीस बढ़ाने का प्रस्ताव देने का अधिकार छीना जा सकता है।   विधेयक में, शुल्क नियमन प्रक्रिया की निगरानी के लिए तीन समितियों के गठन का भी प्रावधान है इनमें से एक स्कूल स्तर पर, एक जिला स्तर पर और एक उच्च-स्तरीय पुनरीक्षण समिति होगी।

मुंबई आवास और क्षेत्र विकास बोर्ड मंगलवार दोपहर 12 बजे से शहर की विभिन्न आवासीय परियोजनाओं में 149 गैर-आवासीय परिसरों की ई-नीलामी के लिए ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण और आवेदन शुरू करेगा। पात्र आवेदकों के लिए ई-नीलामी 28 अगस्त को सुबह 11 बजे से शाम 5 बजे के बीच www.eauction.mhada.gov.in पर आयोजित की जाएगी और परिणाम 29 अगस्त को घोषित किए जाएँगे। पंजीकरण, दस्तावेज़ अपलोड और बयाना राशि का भुगतान 25 अगस्त तक ऑनलाइन किया जा सकता है। आवेदकों की आयु 18 वर्ष से अधिक होनी चाहिए, उनके पास 2018 के बाद महाराष्ट्र में जारी किया गया निवास प्रमाण पत्र होना अनिवार्य है और साथ ही उन्‍हें निर्धारित जमा राशि का भुगतान करना होगा। विस्तृत नियम, संपत्ति सूची और पात्रता मानदंड म्हाडा की वेबसाइट पर उपलब्ध हैं।

महाराष्ट्र के पर्यटन मंत्री शंभूराज देसाई ने घोषणा की है कि सुरक्षा बढ़ाने और भीड़ को नियंत्रित करने के लिए दक्षिण मुंबई के गेटवे ऑफ इंडिया और नरीमन पॉइंट पर जल्द ही एक समर्पित पर्यटन सुरक्षा बल तैनात किया जाएगा। बृहस्‍पतिवार को मुंबई में एक समीक्षा बैठक के बाद श्री देसाई ने कहा कि यह कदम पिछले तीन महीनों में महाबलेश्वर और पंचगनी में इस तरह के बल की सफल तैनाती के बाद उठाया गया है।

कोलकाता के सियालदह स्टेशन से जल्द ही एक नई वातानुकूलित ईएमयू लोकल ट्रेन का उद्घाटन किया जाएगा। सियालदह रानाघाट ईएमयू लोकल ट्रेन पूरी तरह से वातानुकूलित होगी और इसका किराया पारंपरिक गैर-एसी उपनगरीय ट्रेनों की तुलना में अधिक होगा। इसमें महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित डिब्बे होंगे। वरिष्ठ नागरिकों और दिव्यांगों के लिए भी सीटें आरक्षित होंगी।

Rajalakshmi Devaraj, Zonal ADGFT, outlined the aim of promoting understanding of SCOMET policy, licensing, and India’s international obligations. MEA Joint Secretary Muanpuii Saiawi stressed India’s growing role in high-tech defence exports under government initiatives and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to non-proliferation through global regimes.

Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna inspected the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna railway station in Bengaluru yesterday before Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on Sunday to flag off the Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express. The minister was briefed about the multi-layered security protocol during the Prime Minister visit. The bomb detection dog squads, Railway Protection Special Force personnel and Railway Protection Force will be providing the security during the visit of the Prime Minister. During the visit on Sunday, access control has been tightened at all the entry and exit points to ensure the highest level of security. 2008 –सरकारी क्षेत्र की तीन कंपनियाँ एनटीपीसी, एनएचपीसी व पावर फाइनेन्स कारपोरेशन तथा टाटा कन्सल्टेन्सी ने राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पावर एक्सचेंज गठित करने तथा उसके संचालन हेतु एक संयुक्त उपक्रम बनाने के लिए एक करार पर हस्ताक्षर किये।

2012- भारतीय सेना ने 9 अगस्त, 2012 को परमाणु हमला करने में सक्षम अग्नि-2 बैलेस्टिक मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण किया।

रामकिंकर उपाध्याय

आज पुण्यतिथि है भारत के मानस मर्मज्ञ, कथावाचक और हिन्दी साहित्यकार रामकिंकर उपाध्याय की। उनका जन्म 1 नवम्बर, 1924 में मध्य प्रदेश के जबलपुर में हुआ था। वे जन्म से ही होनहार और प्रखर बुद्धि के थे। उनकी शिक्षा-दीक्षा जबलपुर और काशी में हुई। रामकिंकर उपाध्याय स्वभाव से ही अत्यन्त संकोची और शान्त प्रकृति के बालक थे। शुरुआत से उन पर अपने माता-पिता के धार्मिक विचारों और संस्कारों का प्रभाव था। उन्हें सन 1999 में भारत सरकार ने पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया।

आज जयंती है हिन्दी साहित्य में एक उपन्यासकार, कहानीकार, सम्पादक और पत्रकार के रूप में प्रसिद्ध शिवपूजन सहाय की। इनके लिखे हुए प्रारम्भिक लेख लक्ष्मी’, ‘मनोरंजन’ और ‘पाटलीपुत्र’ आदि पत्रिकाओं में प्रकाशित होते थे। उन्होंने वर्ष 1934 में ‘लहेरियासराय’ जाकर मासिक पत्र ‘बालक’ का सम्पादन किया। स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के बाद वे ‘बिहार राष्ट्रभाषा परिषद’ के संचालक और ‘बिहार हिन्दी साहित्य सम्मेलन’ की ओर से प्रकाशित ‘साहित्य’ नामक शोध-समीक्षाप्रधान त्रैमासिक पत्र के सम्पादक रहे। देहाती दुनियाँ’, ‘मतवाला माधुरी’, ‘गंगा’, ‘जागरण’, ‘हिमालय’, ‘हिन्दी भाषा और साहित्य’, ‘शिवपूजन रचनावली’ इनकी मुख्य रचनाएं हैं।

Gangadhar Meher (August 9,1862 – April 4, 1924) was born on the day of Sravana Purnima at Barpali,Bargarh District (undivided Sambalpur District) in a Bhulia weaver family.Though he was educated up to 5th Class, he has given a new meaning and glory toOriya Language and Literature. Gangadhara started composing poems from a very young age. His first writings follow the style and technique of the ancientOdia writers.  The works produced byGangadhara Meher are marked by vivid imagination, in beauty and clarity of language, in the novelty of style, in point of forceful character painting andin the lively description of nature from different perspectives.

विनायक कृष्ण गोकाक

आज जयंती है ‘ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित कन्नड़ भाषा के प्रमुख साहित्यकारों में से एक विनायक कृष्ण गोकाक की। उनका ‘कन्नड़ साहित्य’ में एक विशिष्ट स्थान है। कवि, उपन्यासकार, समालोचक, नाटककार और निबंध लेखक के रूप में आधी से भी अधिक शताब्दी का उनका सक्रिय कार्यकाल 1934 में आरम्भ हुआ, जब उनका प्रथम कविता संकलन ‘कलोपासक’ प्रकाशित हुआ था। भारत सिंधु रश्मि,  ‘समुद्र गीतेगळु’, ‘जन-नायक’ और ‘युगांतर’ उनकी प्रमुख रचनाएं हैं। उन्हें ज्ञानपीठ, पद्म श्री और साहित्य अकादमी जैसे पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया।

Johann Michael Bach  ( 9 August] 1648, Arnstadt, Schwarzburg-Sondershausen – 27 May [O.S. 17 May] 1694, Gehren) was a German composer of the Baroque period. He was the brother of Johann Christoph Bach, as well as first cousin, once removed and father-in-law of Johann Sebastian Bach (he was the father of J.S. Bach’s first wife Maria Barbara Bach). He is sometimes referred to as the “Gehrener Bach” to distinguish him from the “Wuppertaler Bach”, Johann Michael Bach (musician at Wuppertal).

Dipa Karmakar (Bengali: দীপা কর্মকার; born 9 August 1993)[1] is an Indian former artistic gymnast.[4] She is one of only five women in the world to have mastered the Produnova vault.[5] Karmakar became the first Indian gymnast to qualify for an Olympic final at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing fourth in the women’s vault event by just 0.15 points.[6] In 2024, she announced her retirement from gymnastics.

 

Karmakar first gained attention when she won a bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, becoming the first Indian female gymnast to do so in the history of the Games. She also won a bronze at the Asian Championships and finished fifth at the 2015 World Championships, both firsts for any Indian athlete.

 

Karmakar represented India at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, becoming the first Indian female gymnast ever to compete in the Olympics. She was also the first Indian gymnast in any discipline to compete at the Olympics since the 1964 Summer Olympics 52 years ago.  Karmakar finished fourth in the vault in Rio, with an overall score of 15.066.
