प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कहा है कि सरकार किसानों के जीवन में परिवर्तन लाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और प्रधानमंत्री धन-धान्य कृषि योजना इस दिशा में एक और महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि इस योजना से न केवल पिछड़े जिलों में फसल-उत्पादन में वृद्धि होगी बल्कि खाद्य उपलब्ध कराने वालों की आय में भी बढोत्तरी होगी। इस योजना का उद्देश्य कृषि उत्पादकता को बढ़ाना, फसल विविधीकरण और टिकाऊ कृषि पद्धतियों को अपनाना, पंचायत और ब्लॉक स्तर पर फसल कटाई के बाद भंडारण को बढ़ाना, सिंचाई सुविधाओं में सुधार करना और दीर्घकालिक तथा अल्पकालिक ऋण की उपलब्धता को सुगम बनाना है। वर्ष 2025-26 के बजट प्रस्तावों में ”प्रधानमंत्री धन-धान्य कृषि योजना” के अंतर्गत सौ जिलों के विकास के लिए इस कार्यक्रम की घोषणा की गई थी। एनटीपीसी रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी लिमिटेड और उसके अन्य संयुक्त उद्यमों या सहायक कंपनियों में 20,000 करोड़ रुपये तक के निवेश के लिए एनटीपीसी लिमिटेड को अधिक शक्ति दिये जाने को कैबिनेट की मंजूरी मिलने के फैसले पर, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि इस कदम से अक्षय ऊर्जा क्षमता को मजबूत करने के भारत के प्रयासों को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।

राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू आज नई दिल्ली में प्रतिष्ठित स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2024-25 पुरस्कार प्रदान करेंगी। इस कार्यक्रम में शहरी भारत के सबसे स्वच्छ शहरों को सम्मानित किया जायेगा और स्वच्छ भारत मिशन-शहरी को आगे बढ़ाने के प्रयासों को मान्यता दी जायेगी। इस वर्ष ये पुरस्कार चार श्रेणियों में प्रदान किए जाएँगे, जिनमें सुपर स्वच्छ लीग शहर और अधिक जनसंख्या वाले पांच शहरों में से शीर्ष तीन स्वच्छ शहर शामिल हैं। आवासन और शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि इस वर्ष कुल 78 पुरस्कार प्रदान किए जाएँगे। मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण 2024-25 में शहरी स्वच्छता और सेवा वितरण का आकलन करने के लिए एक स्मार्ट और सकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण अपनाया गया है, जो शहरों में स्वच्छता और अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन का संपूर्ण दृश्य प्रस्तुत करता है।

Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that Artificial Intelligence training will be provided to ten lakh citizens in the country free of cost, and priority will be given to Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). Mr. Vaishnaw made this announcement in an event – ‘CSC Diwas’ organised in New Delhi, celebrating 10 Years of Digital India. The event marked a decade of transformative digital empowerment across the nation.
Highlighting the efforts and achievements of Common Service Centers (CSC) workers, Mr. Vaishnaw said that Village Level Entrepreneurs across the country have set a remarkable example by delivering the benefits of Digital India to every citizen. He added that CSC has reached nearly 90 percent of villages in the country.

सरकार ने तेलंगाना और आंध्र प्रदेश के बीच पोलावरम बनकाचेरला लिंक परियोजना तथा लंबित अंतर-राज्यीय जल मुद्दों से संबंधित मामलों की जाँच के लिए एक उच्च-स्तरीय तकनीकी समिति गठित करने का निर्णय लिया है। केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री सी.आर. पाटिल की अध्यक्षता में कल नई दिल्ली में आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री एन. चंद्रबाबू नायडू और तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए. रेवंत रेड्डी के साथ एक उच्च-स्तरीय बैठक के बाद यह फैसला लिया गया। जल शक्ति मंत्रालय ने कहा कि दोनों राज्यों और केंद्र के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों और तकनीकी विशेषज्ञों की यह समिति लंबित मुद्दों का मिलकर आकलन करेगी और समान तथा प्रभावी जल बंटवारा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए न्यायसंगत और तकनीकी रूप से व्यवहार्य समाधान की सिफारिश करेगी।

An earthquake of magnitude 7.3 struck Alaska in United States last night at around 2:07 AM, Indian Time. Alaska’a earthquake monitoring agency said the epicenter was located located 89 kilometers south of Sand Point in Alaska. The agency further said that the shock was felt over a broad region, extending as far as Anchorage and Juneau, where reported shaking was light. No injury or casualty has been reported so far. Alaska Earthquake Center (AEC) Director and State Seismologist Michael West said that the strong shocks were downgrading with time and there is no warning of tsunami.

The Tamilnadu Government has allowed an increase in intake at arts and science colleges by upto 20 percent for the 2025-26 academic year. The Minister of higher education Govi Chezhian said that with more students waiting to gain admission to Government arts and science colleges, the number of seats in State – run colleges will be allowed an increase by 20 percent this year. He added that aided colleges will be allowed to increase their intake by 15 percent and private colleges by 10 percent. In the Government arts and science colleges nearly one lakh students have been enrolled so far against 1.26 lakh seats.

The Telangana government has confirmed 566 Mandal Parishad Presidents (MPPs) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) seats and 5,773 Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) seats for the upcoming local body elections. There are 12,778 Gram Panchayats and around 1.12 lakh wards across the state. Following High Court directions to complete elections by September 30, Director of Panchayat Raj G. Srijana has instructed officials to begin preparations immediately.

भारतीय सिनेमा की प्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री, गायिका और फ़िल्म निर्माता कानन देवी की आज पुण्यतिथि है। कानन देवी एक प्रशिक्षित गायिक तो नहीं थी लेकिन सिनेमा जगत में जिस दौर में वह सक्रिय थीं, उन्होंने अपनी लगन और प्रतिभा के बल पर अपना स्थान बनाया। वह पहली बांग्ला कलाकार थीं, जिन्हें भारतीय सिनेमा में उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए 1976 में ‘दादा साहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित किया गया था। कानन देवी ने 10 वर्ष की उम्र में फ़िल्म ‘जयदेव’ में काम किया। वर्ष 1934 में प्रदर्शित फ़िल्म ‘माँ’ बतौर अभिनेत्री कानन देवी के सिने कैरियर की पहली हिट फ़िल्म साबित हुई। अन्य मुख्य फ़िल्में हैं – मुक्ति, जवाब, हॉस्पिटल, वनफूल, फैसला, आशा और राजलक्ष्मी आदि।

Gould is best known for his thirty-year fight with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to obtain patents for the laser and related technologies. He also fought with laser manufacturers in court battles to enforce the patents he subsequently did obtain.
He played an important role in early laser research and coined the word laser (light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation).

Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon was a pilot with a Gnat detachment posted in Srinagar for the valley’s air defence against Pakistani air strikes. On this day during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, a wave of six enemy Sabre aircraft assaulted Srinagar Airfield. However, Flying Officer Sekhon was unable to take off immediately due to dust clouds created by another aircraft that had just taken off. By the time the runway was ready for takeoff, six enemy planes were overhead, and the airfield was being strafed.
Despite the dangers of attempting to take off during an attack and the odds stacked against him, Flying Officer Sekhon took off and engaged two of the attacking Sabres right away. In the combat that ensued, he almost held his own at tree-top height but was eventually defeated by the sheer weight of numbers. His plane crashed, and he lost his life. Flying Officer Sekhon achieved his goal by sacrificing himself for the defence of Srinagar because the enemy aircraft abandoned the scene of the combat without pressing their attack against the town and the base.
He was posthumously awarded India’s highest gallantry award, Param Vir Chakra, for his sublime heroism, supreme gallantry, flying skills, and determination, above and beyond the call of duty.

भारतीय संगीत जगत के मनीषी लालमणि मिश्र का भी आज स्मरण कर रहे हैं, जिनकी आज पुण्यतिथि है। लालमणि मिश्र ने विचित्र वीणा की वादन तकनीक विकसित करने के साथ भारतीय संगीत वाद्यों के इतिहास तथा विकास क्रम पर अनुसन्धान भी किया। वैदिक संगीत पर शोध करते हुए उन्होंने सामिक स्वर व्यवस्था का रहस्य सुलझाया। सामवेद के इन प्राप्त स्वरों को संरक्षित करने के लिए उन्होंने ‘राग सामेश्वरी’ का निर्माण किया। भरत मुनि द्वारा विधान की गयी बाईस श्रुतिओं को मानव इतिहास में पहली बार डॉ. मिश्र द्वारा निर्मित वाद्य यंत्र श्रुति-वीणा पर एक साथ सुनना सम्भव हुआ। संगीत की हर विधा में पारंगत लालमणि मिश्र ने अपनी साधना और शोध के बल पर एक अलग शैली विकसित की, जिसे ‘मिश्रवाणी’ के नाम से स्वीकार किया गया।

आज ही पुण्यतिथि है हिन्दी सिनेमा जगत की जानी मानी अभिनेत्री रीता भादुड़ी की। वह 1968 से फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में सक्रिय रहीं। अपने पांच दशक के कॅरियर में रीता भादुड़ी ने ‘कभी हां कभी ना’, ‘क्या कहना’, ‘दिल विल प्यार व्यार’ और ‘मैं माधुरी दीक्षित बनना चाहती हूं’ जैसी फिल्मों में काम किया। उन्होंने गुजराती फिल्मों में भी काम किया था। तीन दशक लंबे कॅरियर में रीता भादुड़ी 30 से ज्यादा टीवी धारावाहिकों के अलावा लगभग 70 फ़िल्मों में नज़र आईं। उनकी चचर्ति फ़िल्मों की बात करें तो रीता भादुड़ी ‘सवान को आने दो’, ‘विश्वनाथ’, ‘अनुरोध’ से लेकर हाल के वर्षों में ‘क्या कहना’ और ‘दिल विल प्यार व्यार’ जैसी फ़िल्मों में नज़र आई थीं।

आइए नमन करते हैं परमवीर चक्र विजेता वीर जवान – निर्मलजीत सिंह सेखों को, जिनकी आज पुण्यतिथि है। यह सम्मान उन्हें 1971 में मरणोपरांत मिला। भारतीय वायु सेना से परमवीर चक्र के एकमात्र विजेता फ़्लाइंग ऑफ़िसर निर्मलजीत सिंह सेखों ने 1971 में पाकिस्तान के विरुद्ध लड़ते हुए उस युद्ध में वीरगति पाई, जिसमें भारत विजयी हुआ और पाकिस्तान से टूट कर उसका पूर्वी हिस्सा, बांग्लादेश के नाम से स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र बना। युद्ध के दौरान निर्मलजीत सिंह श्रीनगर वायु सेना के अड्डे पर तैनात थे। नेट हवाई जहाजों पर करिश्मे के लिए निर्मलजीत सिंह उस्ताद माने जाते थे।

आज ही पुण्यतिथि है रजत मुखर्जी की। वे प्रसिद्ध भारतीय फ़िल्म निर्देशक थे, जो मुख्य तौर से हिंदी सिनेमा में सक्रिय रहे। हिंदी सिनेमा में रजत मुखर्जी कई बेहतरीन फ़िल्मों के निर्देशन के लिए जाने जाते हैं, जिनमें ‘प्यार तूने क्या किया’, ‘लव इन नेपाल’ और ‘रोड’ जैसी फ़िल्में शामिल हैं। रजत मुखर्जी ने रामगोपाल वर्मा के साथ मिलकर ‘प्यार तूने क्या किया’ के साथ हिंदी सिनेमा में अपने सफर की शुरुआत की थी।
