विदेश मंत्री डॉ. सुब्रह्मण्यम जयशंकर ने कहा है कि पहलगाम आतंकी हमला, जम्मू-कश्मीर की पर्यटन अर्थव्यवस्था को नुकसान पहुंचाने और धर्म के आधार पर भेदभाव लाने के लिए जानबूझकर कराया गया। कल शाम चीन के तियानजिन में शंघाई सहयोग संगठन परिषद को संबोधित करते हुए डॉ. जयशंकर ने आतंकवाद, अलगाववाद और उग्रवाद को कतई बर्दाश्त न करने की नीति अपनाने का आह्वान किया। संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद द्वारा पहलगाम आतंकी हमले की कड़ी निंदा का उल्लेख करते हुए विदेश मंत्री ने कहा कि इसकी साजिश और वित्त पोषण करने वालों को जवाबदेह ठहराया जाना जरूरी है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत पहलगाम आतंकी हमले के दोषियों को न्याय के कठघरे में लाने का प्रयास जारी रखेगा।

Describing the proposed demolition of the landmark building in Mymensingh as a matter of profound regret, India has requested Bangladesh to convert it into a museum that reflects the shared cultural heritage of both countries. It also pledged its full cooperation in this effort. The historic building belonged to Satyajit Ray’s grandfather, the celebrated litterateur Upendra Kishor Ray Chowdhury. Currently owned by the Bangladesh government, the property is in a state of disrepair.

The advisory recommends displaying informational boards in areas like lobbies, canteens, cafeterias, and meeting rooms to raise awareness about the harmful effects of hidden fats and excessive sugar in certain food items.

Israeli air strikes has killed over 90 people across the Gaza Strip within a span of 24 hours, in one of the deadliest attacks launched on Monday evening. Gaza’s Health Ministry reported yesterday that 278 people were injured in the strikes and taken to hospitals. The Israeli military has not yet commented on the attacks.

दिल्ली में, अब हरित वर्ग के उद्योगों को पर्यावरणीय मंज़ूरी बीस दिन के भीतर देनी होगी। दिल्ली के पर्यावरण और उद्योग मंत्री मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने कहा है कि कारोबारी सुगमता के लिए समय-सीमा को एक सौ बीस दिन से घटाकर बीस दिन कर दिया गया है। इस अवधि के भीतर मंज़ूरी न मिलने पर हरित वर्ग के उद्योगों के आवेदन अगस्त महीने से स्वत: स्वीकृत मान लिए जायेंगे। इस पहल से दिल्ली में सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यम क्षेत्र को गति मिलने की संभावना है। श्री सिरसा ने कहा कि यह सुधार राजधानी में उद्यमों को बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक ऐतिहासिक कदम है।

दिल्ली सरकार में जल मंत्री प्रवेश वर्मा ने कहा है कि सरकार ने यमुना की सफाई अभियान के अन्तर्गत उन छोटे नालों का ड्रोन सर्वेक्षण शुरू कर दिया है जो बिना उपचारित अपशिष्ट को बड़ी जल निकासी प्रणालियों में डालते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि शहर में 22 बड़े नाले हैं, जिनमें सबसे बड़ा नजफगढ़ नाला, शाहदरा नाला और पूरक नाला शामिल हैं, जो यमुना में गिरते हैं। श्री वर्मा ने बताया है कि लगभग 300 उप-नाले इन बड़े नालों में गिरते हैं, जिससे कुल प्रदूषण का भार बढ़ जाता है।

दिल्ली पुलिस ने कल बैंक खाते में रूपये जमा करने के बदले नक़दी के नाम पर फ़र्ज़ी नोट देने वाले ठग गिरोह का पर्दाफाश किया। पुलिस ने बताया कि गिरोह ने शिकायतकर्ता से 40 लाख रुपये बैंक खाते में जमा कराकर, बदले में एक करोड़ 25 लाख के नकली नोट देकर ठगा था। मीडिया के साथ बातचीत में पुलिस उपायुक्त अंकित चौहान ने बताया कि आरोपियों के पास से एक करोड 25 लाख रुपये के फ़र्ज़ी नोट, नोट गिनने की मशीन, साढे सात लाख नक़द रुपये और अपराध में इस्तेमाल किये गए मोबाइल बरामद किये गये हैं।

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने मुंबई में गेटवे ऑफ इंडिया के पास एक यात्री सुविधा और टर्मिनल के निर्माण को मंजूरी दे दी है मंगलवार को एक सुनवाई के दौरान, मुख्य न्यायाधीश आलोक अराधे और न्यायमूर्ति संदीप मार्ने की खंडपीठ ने फैसला सुनाया कि मौजूदा यात्री सुविधा को चरणबद्ध ढंग से बंद किया जाना चाहिए। नई यात्री सुविधा के लिए न्यायालय ने कहा कि प्रस्तावित एम्फीथिएटर का उपयोग केवल बैठने की सुविधा के लिए किया जाना चाहिए, मनोरंजन के लिए नहीं।

बॉम्बे स्टॉक एक्सचेंज-बीएसई ने निवेशकों को आश्वस्त किया है कि उसके सभी परिचालन बिना किसी बाधा के और सामान्य रूप से जारी रहेंगे। यह बयान बम की धमकी की सूचना के बाद जारी किया गया। 13 जुलाई की रात को एक अज्ञात ईमेल के ज़रिए बम की धमकी मिलने की पुष्टि करते हुए, बीएसई ने कहा कि उसने संबंधित अधिकारियों को सूचित कर दिया है और प्रारंभिक जांच शुरू कर दी गई है। लेकिन कुछ भी संदिग्ध नहीं मिला है। बीएसई ने कहा है कि उसने अपने परिसर में सतर्कता और निगरानी बढ़ा दी है और इस मामले में एक प्राथमिकी दर्ज की है।

विशिष्ट सूचना के आधार पर, मुंबई के राजस्व खुफिया निदेशालय ने दोहा से मुंबई अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर आ रही एक भारतीय महिला से जाँच के दौरान कोकीन के कुल 300 कैप्सूल बरामद किए हैं। आधिकारिक बयान के अनुसार, बरामद कोकीन की अनुमानित कीमत लगभग 62 करोड़ छह लाख रुपये है। मामले की जाँच जारी है।

कोलकाता मेट्रो रेलवे यात्रियों के सुविधा के लिए हर संभव सुरक्षा उपाय कर रहा है। मेट्रो रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक पी. उदय कुमार रेड्डी के निर्देशानुसार, मेट्रो कर्मचारियों को उचित और अद्यतन प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करने के लिए नियमित रूप से मॉक ड्रिल और विशेष प्रशिक्षण सत्र आदि आयोजित किए जा रहे हैं। एक अनूठी पहल के अंतर्गत मेट्रो अधिकारियों ने नोआपाड़ा प्रशिक्षण केंद्र में एक तनाव प्रबंधन शिविर का आयोजन किया है, जिसमें मोटरमैन, तकनीशियन, वरिष्ठ यातायात सहायक, वरिष्ठ अनुभाग इंजीनियर और सुरक्षा परामर्शदाता भाग ले रहे हैं। यह शिविर इस सप्ताह सोमवार को शुरू हुआ और 18 जुलाई को समाप्त होगा।

The Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) celebrated 20 years of its heritage status yesterday. Considered a marvel of engineering and technology, the NMR is the steepest mountain railway in the country. It was constructed in 1908 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. Also called the Ooty Toy Train, it is known for offering a fairy-tale experience of the Nilgiri Hills. It is the only rack-and-pinion line running the 46 km distance from Mettupalayam to Ooty. The NMR remains extremely popular among tourists, including foreigners.

Tamil Nadu will host the fourth Asian Surfing Championship from August 3 to 12 at Mamallapuram, near Chennai. The state government has allocated 3.30 crore rupees for the successful conduct of the tournament. The event is significant as it will serve as the final qualifier for the 2026 Asian Games, to be held in Japan. Twenty countries are expected to participate in the championship, with around 150 athletes competing in this international event.

Karnataka Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Dr. Sharanprakash R. Patil, has urged people not to be alarmed by recent reports of heart attack cases in the state. Addressing the media in Bengaluru yesterday, the minister said that the number of patients visiting Jayadeva Heart Hospital in Bengaluru has increased primarily because many are seeking preventive check-ups.
He advised people to maintain a healthy lifestyle and emphasized that undergoing medical check-ups without specific symptoms or reasons is unnecessary. Referring to reports that 24 people died of heart attacks in Hassan, the minister clarified that only 10 of those deaths were due to heart attacks, while the remaining fatalities occurred due to other causes.

Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Corporate Affairs, Harsh Malhotra, has announced that 22 additional Wayside Amenities (WSAs) will be developed across Telangana. He inspected a WSA near the Mandamarri toll plaza in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district yesterday.
In a social media post, the minister stated that the National Highways Authority of India is currently developing these facilities, which will include essential amenities such as fuel stations, EV charging points, clean toilets, drinking water, parking areas, eateries, and dormitories for truck drivers. He reiterated the government’s commitment to the development of all 119 aspirational districts across the country.

पुण्यतिथि और जयंती –
कुंटागोडू विभूति सुबन्ना :: आज पु्ण्यतिथि है प्रसिद्ध नाटककार और ‘निनासम धर्म संस्था’ के संस्थापक कन्नड़ थिएटर के सुविख्यात कलाकार कुंटागोडू विभूति सुबन्ना की। वे विश्वविद्यालय में विज्ञान के छात्र थे, लेकिन उनका दृष्टिकोण, दार्शनिक था। वे विज्ञान की स्थूल रूपता से परे सोचते थे तथा उनका गहरा रुझान साहित्य की ओर था। उनका कहना था- “थियेटर मेरे लिए बस थियेटर भर नहीं है, साहित्य भी मेरे लिए बस साहित्य तक ही सीमित नहीं है, इसी तरह मेरे लिए विज्ञान भी मेरे पाठयक्रम तक नहीं है, मैं इन सबको एक समूचेपन में अपनाते हुए एक विशाल भारत का निर्माण करना चाहता हूँ।” वर्ष 1980 में उन्होंने नीनासाम थियेटर इन्स्टीटूयूट की स्थापना की। 1983 में नीनासाम को एक और नया आयाम मिला। वर्ष 2004 में के. वी. सुब्बन्ना को भारत सरकार की ओर से ‘पद्म श्री’ पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। इनके अद्भुत कार्य के लिए इन्हें संगीत नाटक अकादमी ने भी 1994 में पुरस्कृत किया। 1991 में उन्हें पत्रकारिता, साहित्य और कला के सृजनात्मक आयामों के लिए ‘रेमन मैग्सेसे’ सम्मान मिला।

Damal Krishnaswamy Pattammal (19 March 1919 – 16 July 2009),popularly known as D. K. Pattammal or DKP, was an Indian Carnatic musician and a playback singer for film songs in Tamil. Pattammal, along with her contemporaries M. S. Subbulakshmi and M. L. Vasanthakumari, are popularly referred to as the female trinity of Carnatic Music. This trio initiated the entry of women into mainstream Carnatic Music. She has been appreciated all over the world by Carnatic music lovers.
Her father, Damal Krishnaswamy Dikshithar, who was deeply interested in music, inspired her to learn Carnatic music Her mother, Kanthimathi (Rajammal), although a talented singer herself Pattammal sang and showed considerable music talent at an early age therefore Her parents initiated her into devotional singing.
