श्रोताओं जुलाई का महीना भारत के सैन्य इतिहास में गौरवशाली महीने के रूप में दर्ज है। ये वही महीना है जब भारतीय सेना ने कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान अपनी विजय गाथा लिखी। इस युद्ध को इतिहास में विजय प्रतीक के तौर पर याद किया जाता है। ये युद्ध 3 मई 1999 से 26 जुलाई 1999 तक चला। इसे ऑपरेशन विजय का नाम दिया गया। भारतीय सेना ने दुर्गम इलाकों और विपरित मौसम के बावजूद साहस और दृढ़ संकल्प का परिचय देते हुए दुश्मन सेना पर हर ओर से हमले किए और कारगिल की चोटियों पर शान से तिरंगा लहराया। इस दौरान देश ने अपने कई रण बांकूरों को खो दिया। इन जवानों की कहानियां हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए भारत की इस गौरव गाथा में शमिल हो चुकी हैं। कार्यक्रम आज सवेरे की शुरूआत से पहले भारत के इन सभी वीर सपूतों को हमारा शत-शत नमन। इसके साथ ही आइए कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत करते है- मैं हूं सरफिरोजी और मेरे साथ सुभद्रा रामचंद्रन।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Accra last night on a State Visit to Ghana. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome by President John Dramani Mahama, including a guard of honour and 21-gun salute at the airport. Later, the leaders met in restricted and delegation-level talks. बालतल मार्ग से दो हजार तीन सौ से अधिक और पहलगाम मार्ग से तीन हजार से अधिक श्रद्धालुओं को लेकर लगभग 299 वाहन श्रीनगर जम्मू राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग से कश्मीर घाटी में सुरक्षित पहुंच गए।
श्रद्धालुओं को “बम बम भोले” और “बर्फानी बाबा की जय” के नारे लगाते देखा गया। स्थानीय लोगों, नागरिक समाज के सदस्यों और जिला प्रशासन ने श्रद्धालुओं का भव्य स्वागत किया।

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has said that Pakistan does not affect India’s relationship with the United States. Speaking at a news conference in Washington, he emphasised that India-US ties are built on mutual interests, not on third countries. He said we should stop defining ourselves based on others and big relationships like India-US are based on shared benefits, trade, investment, technology, energy, and mobility.
Dr Jaishankar also dismissed US President Donald Trump’s claim that he helped broker a ceasefire between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor. He said, the record is clear, the ceasefire was negotiated directly by the military officers of both the countries.

Greater Chennai Corporation raided at least 150 tea stalls, seizing more than 800 cigarette boxes and fined violators 3,000 Rupees. The late-night enforcement teams raided tea stalls selling cigarettes in zones such as Ambattur, Teynampet,Royapuram and Thiruvottiyur.
Deputy Mayor – Mahesh Kumar said they issued instructions to all vendors to discourage patrons from smoking near residential areas. He said that the raids will continue in the future also. The Deputy Mayor said under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Smoking and Spitting Rules 2023, there must be no smoking boards outside stalls located in avenues and promenades.

करगिल जंग के 26 साल हो चुके हैं. हर साल ये दिन विजय दिवस (Kargil Vijay Diwas) के रूप में मनाया जाता है। 1999 के करगिल युद्ध में भारतीय वीर सपूतों ने पाकिस्तानी घुसपैठियों को खदेड़कर बाहर निकाल दिया था. इन बहादूर सपूतों में कैप्टन मनोज कुमार पांडेय भी थे. उन्होंने दिलेरी के साथ कई हमले कर दुश्मन के एक के बाद एक कई ठिकानों को नेस्तनाबूद किया था। नजीता रहा कि भारत करगिल पर विजय का पताका लहरा पाया। करगिल युद्ध के दौरान कैप्टन पांडे 11 गोरखा राइफल की पहली बटालियन में कैप्टन थे। कंधे और पैर पर गोली लगने के बावजूद वो दुश्मन के बंकर में घुसे। वो पूरी दिलेरी से अगले 22 दिन तक दुश्मनों के छक्के छुड़ाते रहे. इस दौरान कैप्टन मनोज पांडेय बुरी तरह जख्मी हो चुके थे। 3 जुलाई 1999 को वो 24 साल की उम्र में शहीद हो गए। उन्हें सरकार ने परमवीर चक्र से सम्मानित किया।

नब्बे के दशक में राज कुमार ने फ़िल्मों मे काम करना काफ़ी कम कर दिया। इस दौरान राज कुमार की ‘तिरंगा- 1992’, ‘पुलिस और मुजरिम इंसानियत के देवता- 1993’, ‘बेताज बादशाह- 1994’, ‘जवाब- 1995’, ‘गॉड और गन’ जैसी फ़िल्में प्रदर्शित हुई।
