Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, who is aboard the International Space Station yesterday. Mr Modi said, you are farthest from India but closest to Indians’ heart and your journey marks the auspicious beginning of a new era. He said, Parikrama has been a centuries-old tradition in India, and you have been blessed with the rare opportunity to perform the parikrama of Mother Earth. Mr Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations and good wishes to Group Captain Shukla for his mission.
Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla said that he is feeling proud to represent India. Sharing his experiences, with Prime Minister Modi, Group Captain Shukla said, when he was a child, he never imagined that he could become an astronaut. Captain Shukla said, under the leadership Prime Minister, today’s India offers numerous opportunities to people to fulfil their dreams.
Group Captain Shukla said, he has learnt a lot during his training saying that his journey is a collective achievement for the entire country. He asked youths that sky is never the limit. He said, India is progressing at a swift pace and it will have its own stations in space. Group Captain Shukla said, when he saw India for the first time from space, India looks very grand and much bigger than what we see on the map.
On Wednesday, Axiom-4 mission, carrying Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla was launched from Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, United States. Group Captain Shukla is the second Indian astronaut, who has travelled to space, four decades after Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma made the cosmic journey as part of a Soviet mission in 1984.

AXIOM-4 mission strengthens India’s presence in space and promotes the country’s dedication to contributing to global scientific progress. Our correspondent has filed this report:
“The Axiom-4 mission marks India’s most direct contribution to space biosciences. Indian astronaut Shukla will conduct seven fully indigenous microgravity experiments during his stay at ISS. The seven experiments are poised to make vital contributions to sustainability in space and innovation on Earth. All these experiments have been entirely developed by Indian institutions and that the scientific findings will be shared globally to benefit all of humanity. The first experiment examines the behaviour of edible microalgae in microgravity. The study will look at growth, metabolism, and oxygen-carbon dioxide recycling potential, which are critical for sustaining life on long-duration space missions. The second experiment explores the germination and nutritional profiles of sprouting seeds like Moong and Methi in space. The study is expected to help develop nutrient-rich, medicinal food options for astronauts. The final experiment involves exposing seeds of Rice, Cowpea, Sesame, Brinjal, and Tomato to space conditions to test their resilience. उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने कहा है कि किसी भी संविधान की प्रस्तावना उसकी आत्मा होती है और इसे बदला नहीं जा सकता। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत को छोड़कर किसी भी देश के संविधान की प्रस्तावना में बदलाव नहीं किया गया है। नई दिल्ली में पुस्तक विमोचन समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए श्री धनखड़ ने कहा कि प्रस्तावना ही वह आधार है जिस पर संविधान विकसित हुआ है, लेकिन दुख की बात यह है कि इसमें आपातकाल के दौरान बदलाव किया गया जब लोगों को लगभग गुलाम बना दिया गया था।
श्री धनखड़ ने कहा कि आपातकाल के दौरान प्रस्तावना में समाजवादी, धर्मनिरपेक्ष और अखंडता जैसे शब्दों को जोड़ना संविधान निर्माताओं की सोच के साथ विश्वासघात है।

It has now reached to over 94 crore citizens across the nation. In a social media post, Dr Mandaviya expressed gratitude to DG, International Labour Organisation, Gilbert Houngbo, for acknowledging and appreciating India’s transformative journey in building a robust and inclusive social security net.
Mr Houngbo has said that India’s social security coverage has increased from nearly 25 per cent in 2019 to 64 per cent in 2025.

पश्चिम बंगाल में कोलकाता लॉ कॉलेज दुष्कर्म मामले में चौथे आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। लॉ कॉलेज के सुरक्षा को गार्ड कल हिरासत में ले लिया गया। साउथ कोलकाता लॉ कॉलेज में 24 वर्षीय पीडिता के साथ 25 जून को दो छात्रों और एक पूर्व छात्र ने गार्ड रूम में दुष्कर्म किया था। छात्रा की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने मुख्य आरोपी मनोजित मिश्रा, प्रोमित मुखर्जी और जैद अहमद को गिरफ्तार किया था।
घटना पर बढ़ते आक्रोश के बीच कोलकाता पुलिस ने मामले की जांच के लिए सहायक आयुक्त के नेतृत्व में पांच सदस्यीय विशेष जांच दल का गठन किया है।

अब याद करते हैं कुछ जानमानी शख्सियत को –
भारत के स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में ऐसे बहुत सारे युवा लोग थे, जो मानते थे कि सरकार के खिलाफ़ सशस्त्र संघर्ष ही भारत को अंग्रेज़ी शासन से मुक्त करवा पाएगा। राजेंद्रनाथ लाहिड़ी उन अकीर्तित क्रांतिकारियों में से एक थे जिन्होंने अतीत से मुक्त एक नए समाज का आधार स्थापित करने का प्रयास किया। उन्होंने अशफ़ाकुल्लाह खान, राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल और रोशन सिंह ठाकुर के साथ प्रसिद्ध काकोरी कांड में लड़ाई लड़ी। 29 जून 1901 को जन्मे राजेंद्रनाथ लाहिड़ी को चार अप्रैल 1927 को उनको सजा-ए-मौत सुनाई गई ।19 दिसंबर को फांसी दी जानी थी. पर अंग्रेजों के मन में क्रांतिकारियों का इतना डर था कि दो दिन पहले ही 17 दिसंबर को उनको गोंडा की जेल में फांसी दे दी गई थी। आखिरी दिन भी उन्होंने कसरत करना नहीं छोड़ा तो जेल के अफसर भी आश्चर्य में पड़ गए थे।
जिस दिन फांसी होने वाली थी, उस दिन भी राजेंद्र नाथ लाहिड़ी कसरत कर रहे थे. शहादत से कुछ घंटे पहले राजेंद्र नाथ लाहिड़ी को कसरत करते देख जेलर से रहा नहीं गया तो उनसे पूछ ही लिया कि पूजा-पाठ तो ठीक है, पर ये कसरत क्यों कर रहे हो, अब तो फांसी होने वाली है. इस पर राजेन्द्र नाथ लाहिड़ी ने जवाब दिया कि अपने अच्छे स्वास्थ्य के लिए रोज कसरत करना मेरा नियम है. मैं मौत के डर से अपना नियम क्यों छोड़ूं. वैसे मैं कसरत इसलिए भी करता हूं, जिससे मुझे दूसरे जन्म में और तगड़ा शरीर मिले और ब्रिटिश साम्राज्य को मिट्टी में मिला सकूं

Kalpathi Ganpathi “K.G.” Subramanyan (5 February 1924 – 29 June 2016) was an Indian artist. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2012.
Subramanyan was born in Tamil Brahmin family on 5th February, 1924 in Kuthuparamba in Kerala, India, and initially studied economics at Presidency College, Madras. During the freedom struggle he was actively involved and was known for his Gandhian ideology. He was even imprisoned and later banned from joining government colleges during the British Rule. The turning point of his life, as an artist, came when he visited Santiniketan to study in Kala Bhavan, the art faculty of Visva Bharati University, in the year 1944.
