भारतीय वायु सेना के ग्रुप कैप्टन शुभांशु शुक्ला के कल अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन पर पहुंचने के साथ ही भारत की अंतरिक्ष यात्रा में एक और उपलब्धि जुड़ गई है। एक्सिओम-4 मिशन के अन्तर्गत स्पेसएक्स ड्रैगन अंतरिक्षयान को दोपहर बाद 4 बजे अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन से जोड़ा गया। मिशन के चालक दल में ग्रुप कैप्टन शुभांशु शुक्ला सहित अमरीका, पोलैंड और हंगरी के सदस्य शामिल हैं। लखनऊ में जन्मे शुभांशु शुक्ला 1984 में राकेश शर्मा की उड़ान के बाद अंतरिक्ष में जाने वाले दूसरे भारतीय हैं। इस मिशन में अंतरिक्ष यात्री पृथ्वी की निचली कक्षा में 14 दिन तक शोध करेंगे। विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री डॉ. जितेन्द्र सिंह ने शुभांशु शुक्ला और एक्सिओम-4 मिशन टीम को अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन पर सफलतापूर्वक डॉकिंग के लिए बधाई दी है।

India has expressed gratitude to the governments of Israel, Iran, Jordan, Egypt, Armenia, and Turkmenistan for their support in the evacuation efforts carried out under ongoing Operation Sindhu.
Addressing a weekly media briefing, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that, India has so far mounted 14 flights to bring back its nationals from the warzone in Iran. Due to the closure of the Israeli airspace, Indian nationals were also taken to the bordering countries of Jordan and Egypt, from where they were flown back to India on special flights.
India launched Operation Sindhu on June 18 to evacuate its nationals from Iran and Israel. He said India have around 10,000 members of the Indian community in Iran and around 40,000 Indian nationals in Israel.
He further added that from Iran, India have so far evacuated 3,426 nationals, 11 OCI card holders, nine Nepalese nationals, some Sri Lankan nationals and one Iranian national who happened to be a spouse of an Indian national.
He informed that from Israel we have so far evacuated 818 Indian nationals in four flights. The MEA also confirmed that a total of 3426 Indian nationals have been brought home from Iran as part of Operation Sindhu. The Ministry reiterated that the safety and security of Indian nationals remains a top priority for the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The most awaited, largest annual festival of Rath Yatra, also known as the Chariot Festival in Puri, is about to commence shortly. This is one of the most awaited Hindu festivals in the country and the world. The famous festival, usually celebrated in June-July, begins when Lord Jagannath and his two siblings – elder brother Lord Balabhadra and younger sister Devi Subhadra are ready to give darshan to the public in the Chariots and visit their birthplace, Gundicha Temple.
The deities spend a nine-day stay at the Gundicha Temple. The three majestic chariots are ready and parked in front of the Singha Dwar of Jagannath Temple. Currently, the rituals of the Lords are going on inside the temple. Since the deities will appear to the public, the day is extraordinary, attracting devotees to the pilgrim city.

The United States will host the QUAD Foreign Ministers Meeting on July 1 in Washington DC. Principal Deputy Spokesperson for US Department of State Tommy Pigott during a press briefing announced this yesterday. Mr. Pigott said, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will host foreign Ministers from Australia, India and Japan for the 2025 Quad Foreign Ministers Meeting next week. Meanwhile External Affairs Minister, Dr. S Jaishankar in a social media post pointed out that he had a good conversation with Australian Foreign Minister Penelope Ying-Yen Wong before they head out for the Quad meeting. They also exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and the Indo-Pacific.
Earlier on 18th of this month, US President Donald Trump accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to attend the QUAD Summit, which will take place in New Delhi later this year.
The QUAD is a diplomatic partnership between Australia, India, Japan, and the United States committed to supporting an open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific that is inclusive and resilient. The QUAD’s origins date back to the collaboration in response to the December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

महाराष्ट्र के शिक्षा मंत्री दादाजी भुसे ने कल घोषणा की कि राज्य सरकार ने सभी स्कूली माध्यमों में मराठी को अनिवार्य विषय के रूप में फिर से लागू किया है, और इसके प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। मुंबई में संवाददाता सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए, उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि मराठी को अनिवार्य रूप से पढ़ाया जाएगा, लेकिन तीसरी भाषा चुनने की कोई बाध्यता नहीं होगी। राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति-एनईपी 2020 और आगामी अकादमिक बैंक ऑफ क्रेडिट की अवधारणा के अनुरूप, राज्य की भाषा नीति छात्र हित और लचीलेपन को प्राथमिकता देगी। हिंदी और अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं को वैकल्पिक तीसरी भाषा के रूप में पेश किया जाएगा।

The Tamil Nadu Sports department will set up – futsal and box cricket turfs in all 38 districts. The facility will be established at the headquarters in 37 districts and in the city it will be located at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The department has allocated 60 Rupees lakh for each turf which will include end to end covered nets with both futsal and cricket markings. It will also feature nets for futsal and lights. The turfs will be operational until late at night , upto 1 A.M. and will have adequate parking.
Meghanath Reddy, member secretary of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu said the department will directly maintain the turf. He said there will be an app to facilitate bookings, similar to private facilities. The bookings will be priced between 800 and 1,000 which is less than the market costs of private players who charge 1,500 an hour. A standard box cricket turf typically measures between 100 ft and 120 ft in length and 50 ft to 70 ft in width.

An indigenously developed radar simulator – RADSIM was handed over by the Indian Air Force to the Indian Coast Guard in Daman, yesterday. The radar simulator is developed by the Software Development Institute based in Bengaluru. The Institute is the premier software research and development unit of the Indian Air Force.
The radar simulator will significantly strengthen the controller training infrastructure at Indian Coast Guard training centre and enhance operational readiness in complex airspace and maritime scenarios. RADSIM is a high fidelity simulation system designed in India to replicate realistic radar and air traffic control environments. It will be used by the Coast Guard for advanced training of its radar and ATC controllers. This will enable immersive training through simulation of radar behaviour and ATC operations under varied conditions.
RADSIM is a testament to the technological excellence of the Indian Air Force and its commitment to develop indigenous technological solutions in line with the national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The adoption of the indigenous technology of Software Development Institute by the Indian coast Guard also highlights the strength of inter service collaboration in building a self reliant defence ecosystem.

The Telangana State government has launched the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) Task Force to curb the drug menace in the state. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the specialised task force dedicated to combating the menace of drugs and illegal Ganja cultivation (Marijuana) on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking yesterday.
The elite unit commenced operations across the state with the mission to identify, prevent, and eliminate all forms of drug-related activities.
With the motto of “Zero Tolerance – Total Surveillance”, EAGLE has been equipped with highly trained personnel, advanced surveillance technologies, and coordinated support from law enforcement and intelligence agencies. The Chief Minister announced that from urban neighbourhoods to remote forest areas, EAGLE teams will keep a relentless vigil to ensure that not even a single Ganja plant is cultivated, nor a trace of drugs enters Telangana’s borders.
At a programme held in Hyderabad, he declared that the Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau (TGNAB) will henceforth be called EAGLE.
He also emphasised the need to make Telangana a model state in eliminating the menace of drugs. Stating that Telangana is the land of struggles and movements, Revanth Reddy said it will be insulting if it becomes the land of drugs.

आज सिक्ख साम्राज्य के सर्वाधिक प्रसिद्ध राजा रणजीत सिंह की पुण्य तिथि है। जब भी देश के इतिहास में महान राजाओं के बारे में बात होगी तो शेर-ए-पंजाब महाराजा रणजीत सिंह का नाम इसमें जरूर आएगा। पंजाब पर शासन करने वाले महाराजा रणजीत सिंह (Ranjit Singh) ने 10 साल की उम्र में पहला युद्ध लड़ा था और 12 साल की उम्र में गद्दी संभाल ली थी। वहीं 18 साल की उम्र में लाहौर को जीत लिया था। 40 वर्षों तक के अपने शासन में उन्होंने अंग्रेजों को अपने साम्राज्य के आसपास भी नहीं फटकने दिया। दशकों तक शासन के बाद रणजीत सिंह का 27 जून, 1839 को निधन हो गया, लेकिन उनकी वीर गाथाएं आज भी लोगों को प्रेरित करती हैं। उनकी सेना में जहां हरि सिंह नलवा, प्राण सुख यादव, गुरमुख सिंह लांबा, दीवान मोखम चंद और वीर सिंह ढिल्लो जैसे भारतीय जनरल थे तो फ्रांस के जीन फ्रैंकोइस अलार्ड और क्लाउड ऑगस्ट कोर्ट, इटली के जीन बाप्तिस्ते वेंचुरा और पाओलो डी एविटेबाइल, अमेरिका के जोसिया हरलान और स्कॉट-आयरिश मूल के अलेक्जेंडर गार्डनर जैसे सैन्य ऑफिसर भी शामिल थे।

John Alec Entwistle (9 October 1944 – 27 June 2002) was an English musician, best known as the bass guitarist for the rock band the Who. Entwistle’s music career spanned over four decades. Nicknamed “The Ox” and “Thunderfingers”, he was the band’s only member with formal musical training and also provided backing and occasional lead vocals. Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw MC (3 April 1914 – 27 June 2008), also known as Sam Bahadur (“the Brave”), was an Indian Army general officer who was the Chief of the army staff during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, and the first Indian army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal. His active military career spanned four decades, beginning with service in World War II. Manekshaw joined the first intake of the Indian Military Academy at Dehradun in 1932. He was commissioned into the 4th Battalion, 12th Frontier Force Regiment. In World War II, he was awarded the Military Cross for gallantry. Following the Partition of India in 1947, he was reassigned to the 8th Gorkha Rifles. Manekshaw was seconded to a planning role during the 1947 Indo-Pakistani War and the Hyderabad crisis, and as a result, he never commanded an infantry battalion.

She was born in Koothali near Perambra in Kozhikode district, Kerala, and grew up in Payyoli. Usha has been associated with Indian athletics since 1979.
