- US President Donald Trump has announced that Iran and Israel have agreed to a complete and total ceasefire, which will come into effect in the coming hours. The announcement was made last night, shortly after Iranian attack on US airbase in Qatar.
- In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said, the ceasefire would begin once both countries have wound down and completed their ongoing final missions. The statement also noted that during each side’s ceasefire period, the opposing side is expected to remain peaceful and respectful.
- Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has denied any agreement on a ceasefire with Israel. In a social media post, Araghchi said that the final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later. He further added that Tehran has no intention to continue its response, provided the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people.

Under Operation Sindhu, A total of 290 Indian nationals and one Sri Lankan national who were evacuated from Mashhad arrived in New Delhi last evening on a special flight under Operation Sindhu.
The External Affairs Ministry informed that with this, 2003 Indian nationals have been safely brought back from Iran so far.
Meanwhile, the first batch of 161 passengers will arrive in Delhi today from Amman, Jordan under the Operation. These individuals were evacuated from Israel and moved to Amman by road.

कतर के अल-उदैद अमरीकी हवाई ठिकानों पर ईरान के हमलों के बाद तेल की वैश्विक कीमतों में पिछले पांच वर्षों में एक ही दिन में सबसे तेज गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। ईरान के परमाणु प्रतिष्ठानों पर अमरीका के हमलों की प्रतिक्रिया में ईरान द्वारा जबावी हमले करने के बाद तेल की कीमतें पांच डॉलर प्रति बैरल फिसलकर इसमें छह प्रतिशत से अधिक की गिरावट आई। सप्ताहांत के तनावों के कारण तेल बाजार में शुरूआत में उछाल आया लेकिन तेल की बिकवाली तेजी से शुरू हुई। सूत्रों का कहना है कि तेहरान ने पहले से कतर के अधिकारियों के साथ हमला करने के लक्ष्यों और उसके समय को लेकर समन्वय किया होगा। विश्लेषक इसे व्यापक संघर्ष को टालने के प्रयास के रूप में देख रहे हैं। ईरान ने तेल प्रतिष्ठानों, पाइपलाइनों और हॉर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य पर हमले नहीं किए हैं। ऊर्जा अवसंरचना पर सीधे खतरे नहीं होने के कारण बाजारों को पुन: आश्वस्त होने में मदद मिली है।

Southern Railway has said that average daily ridership on the Beach -Chengalpattu and Tambaram -Chengalpet sections rose from 1488 in April to 2571 in May and further to 2800 in June. In another development, Southern Railway has cancelled two MEMU express services running between Arakkonam and Salem from June 23 till further notice to accommodate increased train operations for the annual Puri rath yatra in Odisha.

The National Aerospace Laboratories, NAL in Bengaluru has transferred its next generation solar absorber coating technology to a Mysuru based company. NAL has patented this product under the NALSUN-NG brand. This is the second successful licensing of the brand. This transfer of technology marks a significant push towards self-reliance in the solar thermal system, thereby supporting the national missions such as Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat and the National Solar Mission. The indigenous technology will now enable manufacturing of flat plate solar water heaters without importing the evacuated tube collectors, saving cost and foreign exchange. This technology developed in India by NAL has undergone rigorous testing aligned with ASTM and International Energy Agency standards.

The Telangana State government has decided to present complete facts about the Kaleshwaram project to the judicial commission headed by retired judge Justice P.C. Ghose before the end of this month. The state Cabinet that met yesterday till late evening in Hyderabad, resolved to this effect after discussing the communication from the judicial commission about the proceedings relating to the Kaleshwaram project, including the discussions in the then State Cabinet. The meeting also discussed the questions raised by the judicial panel on the manner in which the previous government had given its approval to the project, as also the report submitted by the Cabinet sub-committee in which Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and BJP MP Eatala Rajender were members. Briefing the media after the Cabinet meeting, Revenue Minister P Srinivas Reddy said the Cabinet has resolved to go to any extent to protect the interests of the State in Godavari water allocation.

रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कल शाम नई दिल्ली में विंग्स टू आवर होप्स-वॉल्यूम 2 नामक पुस्तक का विमोचन किया। इस पुस्तक में राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु द्वारा अगस्त 2023 से जुलाई 2024 की अवधि के बीच दिए गए भाषण शामिल हैं। इस अवसर पर रक्षा मंत्री ने कहा कि यह पुस्तक लोगों को विकसित भारत के लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने की दिशा में काम करने के लिए प्रेरित करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि पुस्तक में सभ्यता से लेकर संस्कृति, शिक्षा से लेकर स्वास्थ्य तक के विषय शामिल हैं।

नई दिल्ली स्थित इंडिया इंटरनेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ डेमोक्रेसी एंड इलेक्शन मैनेजमेंट में कल बूथ स्तर अधिकारियों और पर्यवेक्षकों के लिए 13वें प्रशिक्षण सत्र की शुरुआत हुई। मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार ने तीन सौ 79 प्रतिभागियों को संबोधित करते हुए कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन किया। पिछले तीन महीनों में चुनाव आयोग द्वारा नई दिल्ली में पांच हजार से अधिक बीएलओ और बीएलओ पर्यवेक्षकों को प्रशिक्षित किया गया है।
मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार ने कहा कि ये प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए आवश्यक हैं कि मतदाता सूची की तैयारी और चुनाव जनप्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम के अनुसार सख्ती से आयोजित किए जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी लोकतंत्र में कानून से अधिक पारदर्शी कुछ नहीं हो सकता है और भारत में चुनाव कानून के अनुसार होते हैं।
यह प्रशिक्षण प्रतिभागियों की व्यावहारिक समझ को विशेष रूप से मतदाता पंजीकरण, फॉर्म प्रबंधन और चुनावी प्रक्रियाओं के क्षेत्रीय स्तर पर क्रियान्वयन जैसे क्षेत्रों में सुदृढ़ करने के उद्देश्य से तैयार किया गया है।

वर्ष 1863 में आज ही के दिन विश्वनाथ काशीनाथ राजवाडे का जन्म महाराष्ट्र में हुआ था। वे प्रसिद्ध लेखक, इतिहासकार, श्रेष्ठ वक्ता और विद्वान थे। उन्हें ‘इतिहासाचार्य राजवाडे’ के नाम से ख्याति प्राप्त थी। वे संस्कृत और व्याकरण के भी प्रकांड पंडित थे, जिसका प्रमाण उनकी सुप्रसिद्ध कृतियों ‘राजवाडे धातुकोश’ और ‘संस्कृत भाषेचा उलगडा’ आदि में स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाई देता है। उन्होंने मराठी भाषा में ‘भारतीय विवाह संस्था का इतिहास’ नामक प्रसिद्ध ग्रन्थ की रचना की। ये ग्रन्थ इतिहासाचार्य राजवाडे के व्यापक अध्ययन और चिन्तन की एक अनूठी उपलब्धि है।

He was the first musician to receive ‘padmashri’ award by Government of India.`A disciple of classical singer Vishnu Digambar Paluskar of Gwalior Gharana, he became the principal of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Lahore, and later went on to become the first dean of the music faculty at Banaras Hindu University. The place is still brimming with activities imparting music education to all those people who are interested in making music their career and also for researchers.

पण्डित ओंकारनाथ ठाकुर की कालजयी रचनाओं में वन्देमातरम् भी शामिल है। वंदेमातरम, पण्डित जी के स्वरों से अलंकृत होकर जब रेडियो पर गूंजता था तब देश-वासियों के दिलों में देश भक्ति की लहरें हिलोरे लेने लगती थी।

आज पुण्यतिथि है भारतीय इतिहास की प्रसिद्ध वीरागंना रानियों में से एक रानी दुर्गावती की। वे गोंडवाना की शासक थीं। रानी दुर्गावती ने 16 वर्ष तक जिस कुशलता से राज-काज संभाला, उसकी प्रशस्ति इतिहासकारों ने की है। आइना-ए-अकबरी में अबुल फ़ज़ल ने लिखा है- “दुर्गावती के शासनकाल में गोंडवाना इतना सुव्यवस्थित और समृद्ध था कि प्रजा लगान की अदायगी स्वर्णमुद्राओं और हाथियों से करती थी।” वे, कालिंजर के राजा कीर्तिसिंह चंदेल की एकमात्र संतान थीं। आज ही के दिन 1564 में उन्होंने संसार को अलविदा कहा।

आज जयंती है हिन्दी और पंजाबी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी पंडित श्रद्धाराम शर्मा की। वर्ष 1881 में आज ही के दिन इनका निधन हुआ था। पंडित श्रद्धाराम शर्मा अथवा ‘श्रद्धाराम फिल्लौरी’ एक प्रसिद्ध ज्योतिषी थे, लेकिन एक ज्योतिषी के रूप में उन्हें वो प्रसिद्धि नहीं मिली, जो इनके द्वारा लिखी गई आरती “ओम जय जगदीश हरे” के कारण मिली। उन्होंने इस आरती की रचना 1870 में की थी। पंडित जी सनातन धर्म प्रचारक, ज्योतिषी, स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी और संगीतज्ञ होने के साथ-साथ हिन्दी और पंजाबी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार भी थे। अपनी विलक्षण प्रतिभा और ओजस्वी वाक्पटुता के बल पर उन्होंने पंजाब में नई सामाजिक चेतना और धार्मिक उत्साह जगाया।
