The Government has debunked the claims made by several social media accounts that Indian Airspace was used by the United States to launch aircraft against Iran during Operation Midnight Hammer. The Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau termed the claim as fake, stressing that Indian Airspace was not used by the United States. It said that Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff of US, General Dan Caine explained the routes used by US aircraft during a recent press briefing.

A 750 bed multi specialty paediatric hospital will be built on six acres of land at the King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research campus in Guindy. The new hospital will be attached to a post graduate and super specialty paediatric institute that will work as a constituent medical college of the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University. This will be the third hospital on the campus after Kalaignar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital and the National Institute of Ageing.

A British Airways flight from Chennai to London was forced to return mid air on Sunday morning following the closure of Iranian airspace after reported US strikes on nuclear sites in Iran. The flight originally scheduled to depart at 5.35 am took off nearly 40 minutes behind schedule at 6.24 with 206 passengers on board. After crossing Indian airspace and entering the Arabian Sea region, the pilots received information regarding the airspace closure over Iran.

Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya has come out against the tunnel road project proposed by Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka D K Shivakumar for the city of Bengaluru. Issuing a statement yesterday, the Parliamentarian stressed that the Hebbal-Silk Board tunnel idea is unscientific. He charged that the consultant who has prepared a DPR of the project at a cost 9.5 crore rupees was blacklisted. He also criticised the exorbitant cost of the DPR and added that it is directly copied from another report. He noted that the tunnel road will be expensive at 18000 crore rupees and conjectured that the toll fixed will be extravagant .

तो पुण्यतिथियों के क्रम में आज सबसे पहला नाम है मातृभुमि के लिए जीवन समर्पित कर देने वाला प्रथम स्वाधीनता संग्राम सेनानी पेशवा नाना साहेब बालाजी बाजीराव का जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Balaji Bajirao, जन्म हुआ – 8 दिसम्बर, 1721 ई.; और निधन – 23 जून, 1761 ई.) को। बालाजी बाजीराव पिता की मृत्यु के बाद पेशवा बने थे। 1750 में हुई ‘संगोली संधि’ के बाद पेशवा के हाथ में सारे अधिकार सुरक्षित हो गये। अब ‘छत्रपति’ यानि (राजा का पद) दिखावे भर का रह गया था। बालाजी बाजीराव ने मराठा शक्ति का उत्तर तथा दक्षिण भारत, दोनों ओर विस्तार किया। इस प्रकार उनके समय कटक से अटक तक मराठा दुदुम्भी बजने लगी।

अब जानकारी एक महान् शिक्षाविद और चिन्तक होने के साथ-साथ भारतीय जनसंघ के संस्थापक और स्वत्रंत भारत के पहले उद्योग और आपूर्ति मंत्री रहे डॉक्टर श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी के बारे में जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Syama Prasad Mookerjee, जन्म हुआ – 6 जुलाई, 1901, कोलकाता में और आपने इस संसार से विदा ली – 23 जून, 1953) को। उन्हें आज भी एक प्रखर राष्ट्रवादी और कट्टर देशभक्त के रूप में याद किया जाता है। डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी सच्चे अर्थों में मानवता के उपासक और सिद्धांतों के पक्के इंसान थे। संसद में उन्होंने सदैव राष्ट्रीय एकता की स्थापना को ही अपना प्रथम लक्ष्य रखा था। संसद में दिए अपने भाषण में उन्होंने पुरजोर शब्दों में कहा था कि “राष्ट्रीय एकता के धरातल पर ही सुनहरे भविष्य की नींव रखी जा सकती है।”

Mookerjee obtained his degrees from the University of Calcutta. He graduated in English securing the first position in first class in 1921 and also did MA in 1923 and BL in 1924. He became a fellow of the Senate in 1923. He enrolled as an advocate in Calcutta High Court in 1924 after his father’s death. Subsequently he left for England in 1926 to study in Lincoln’s Inn and became a barrister in 1927.

Today we also remembering Jonas Edward Salk he was virologist and medical researcher who developed one of the first successful polio vaccines. In 1947, Salk accepted a professorship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and listeners it was here that he undertook a project beginning in 1948 to determine the number of different types of poliovirus. For the next seven years, Salk devoted himself to developing a vaccine against polio.Salk was immediately hailed as a “miracle worker” when the vaccine’s success was first made public in April 1955, and chose to not patent the vaccine or seek any profit from it in order to maximize its global distribution.

और आज ही जन्मदिन हैं चण्डी प्रसाद भट्ट का जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Chandi Prasad Bhatt, जन्म हुआ : 23 जून 1934, उत्तराखण्ड में! आप गाँधीवादी विचारक और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता हैं। चण्डी प्रसाद भट्ट ने सन 1964 में गोपेश्वर में ‘दशोली ग्राम स्वराज्य संघ’ की स्थापना की जो कालान्तर में चिपको आंदोलन की मातृ-संस्था बनी और बाद में चण्डी प्रसाद भट्ट को इस कार्य के लिए सन 1982 में रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। चण्डी प्रसाद भट्ट सन 1964 में गोपेश्वर में ‘दशोली ग्राम स्वराज्य संघ’ की स्थापना की जो कालान्तर में चिपको आंदोलन की मातृ-संस्था बनी। चण्डी प्रसाद भट्ट को भारत सरकार द्वारा सन 2005 में पद्म भूषण, 1983 में पद्म श्री,1982 में रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार और 1991 में इंदिरा गांधी पर्यावरण पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया है।
Yes Chandi Prasad Bhatt played a significant role in organizing and mobilizing the local communities, especially women, to protect the forests in the Himalayan region. The movement was named “Chipko” because the participants hugged the trees to prevent them from being cut down by loggers.
