Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the G7 Summit at Kananaskis in Canada later this month. Mr. Modi yesterday received a call from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. In a social media post, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Mr. Carney on his recent election victory and thanked him for the invitation to the G7 Summit in Kananaskis. Mr. Modi added that India and Canada will work together with renewed vigour, guided by mutual respect and shared interests, as vibrant democracies bound by deep people-to-people ties. The Prime Minister said that he looks forward to meeting the Canadian Prime Minister at the summit.
The Group of Seven summit will be held at Kananaskis in the Canadian province of Alberta, from 15th to 17th of this month.
Talking to reporters in Ottawa, Prime Minister Carney said, the G7 summit will focus on forging partnerships with emerging and developing nations. He said India should be at the table as the country is one of the largest economies in the world and plays a key role in global supply chains.

बारह कट्टर नक्सलियों ने कल महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस की उपस्थिति में गढ़चिरौली जिले में सुरक्षा बलों के समक्ष आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया। इन पर एक करोड़ रुपए से अधिक का ईनाम था। मुख्यमंत्री ने उन्हें संविधान की एक प्रति भेंट की। श्री फडणवीस ने महाराष्ट्र-छत्तीसगढ़ सीमा पर स्थित जिले के सुदूर कवांडे गांव का दौरा किया। किसी मुख्यमंत्री की इस सुदूर नक्सल प्रभावित क्षेत्र की यह पहली यात्रा है।
इस अवसर पर पत्रकारों से बातचीत में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हथियार डालने वाले लोग मुख्यधारा में शामिल होना चाहते हैं और देश और संविधान के प्रति वफादार होना चाहते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले 18 महीनों में राज्य में 28 माओवादी मारे गए, 31 गिरफ्तार हुए और 44 ने आत्मसमर्पण किया, जो कि एक रिकॉर्ड है। अगले वर्ष मार्च तक नक्सलवाद को खत्म करने का दावा करते हुए श्री फडणवीस ने कहा कि महाराष्ट्र में बहुत कम सक्रिय नक्सली बचे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यह शेष नक्सलियों के लिए एक संदेश है कि वे आत्मसमर्पण करें या कार्रवाई का सामना करें।

भारत और पश्चिम एशिया के देशों ने दुर्लभ मृदा और महत्वपूर्ण खनिजों के संयुक्त अन्वेषण में रुचि व्यक्त की है। विदेश मंत्री डॉ. एस जयशंकर की अध्यक्षता में कल नई दिल्ली में आयोजित भारत-पश्चिम एशिया संवाद की चौथी बैठक के बाद जारी संयुक्त वक्तव्य में सहभागी देशों ने महत्वपूर्ण खनिजों में सहयोग के नए क्षेत्रों की खोज के लिए प्रतिनिधिमंडलों के आदान-प्रदान को प्रोत्साहित किया। बैठक में कजाकिस्तान, किर्गिज गणराज्य, ताजिकिस्तान, तुर्कमेनिस्तान और उज्बेकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्री शामिल हुए।
पिछले साल सितंबर में नई दिल्ली में आयोजित पहले भारत-पश्चिम एशिया दुर्लभ मृदा मंच के परिणामों की सराहना करते हुए इन देशों के मंत्रियों ने संबंधित अधिकारियों से जल्द से जल्द दूसरी भारत-पश्चिम एशिया दुर्लभ मृदा फोरम बैठक आयोजित करने का आह्वान किया।
पश्चिम एशिया के देशों ने डिजिटल भुगतान प्रणाली के माध्यम से अधिक वित्तीय लेनदेन के महत्व पर जोर दिया है। चौथे भारत-पश्चिम एशिया संवाद के संयुक्त वक्तव्य में इन देशों ने व्यापार बढाने, निवेश और पर्यटन को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए अंतर-बैंक सम्बंधों तथा राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा व्यापार बढ़ाने का आह्वान किया।

French aerospace major Dassault Aviation and India’s Tata Advanced Systems Limited have signed four agreements to jointly manufacture the fuselage of Rafale fighter aircraft in India that will mark production of the critical component for the first time outside France. It is a significant step forward in strengthening the country’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities and supporting global supply chains.
A joint press release issued by the companies said, the facility represents a significant investment in India’s aerospace infrastructure and will serve as a critical hub for high-precision manufacturing. Under the partnership, Tata Advanced Systems will set up a cutting-edge production facility in Hyderabad for the manufacture of key structural sections of the Rafale aircraft. As per the deal, the first fuselage sections are expected to roll off the assembly line in 2028. The facility is expected to deliver up to two complete fuselages per month.
French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathou welcomed the historic partnership between two companies to manufacture Rafale fuselages in India. In a social media post, Mr Mathou called it a milestone in strategic partnership, reaffirming France’s support for Make In India Initiative, Atmanirbhar Bharat and global aerospace supply chains.
Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, Eric Trappier, said that this is the first time Rafale fuselages will be produced outside France.
The Chief Executive Officer and managing director of Tata Advanced Systems Limited, Sukaran Singh, said that the partnership marks a significant step in India’s aerospace journey.

Eminent scholar and author Daji Panshikar, known for his deep knowledge of Indian epics and contributions to Marathi literature, passed away at his residence in Maharashtra’s Thane following a brief illness. He was 92. Panshikar was widely respected for his scholarly interpretations of texts like the Mahabharata, Eknaathi Bhagwat, and Bhavarth Ramayan. His insightful commentary and lectures earned him a prominent place in Maharashtra’s intellectual and cultural landscape. Panshikar also played a key role in the theatre world as a guiding force behind the organisation Natyasampada Natya Sanstha. His final rites will be held today at the Jawahar Bagh Crematorium.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid tribute to the renowned author, also known as Narahari Vishnu Shastri, calling him a vital link in the scholarly tradition that highlighted the richness of Indian culture and saintly literature. He also acknowledged Panshikar’s significant role in popularising interpretations of epic texts during his time.

The Government Arts College in Nandanam, Chennai – an all men campus until a few years ago is attempting to make over to turn into a co-ed college. The College received 11,400 applications from women, which amounts to 42 percent of total applications for Undergraduate courses, and a tenfold increase compared to last year. Last year more than 1000 women applied and 150 students got enrolled in Undergraduate courses.

Chennai Metro Rail Limited finalised its last set of train sets for Phase 2 by awarding a 1,538.35 crore rupees contract to Alstom Transport India for 32 driverless trains. Each train set will have a passenger capacity of around 900. As per the delivery schedule, the first driverless train will be handed over by February 2027 for testing at Phase 2 depot with remaining rakes to follow between Spetember 2027 and May 2028. A 14 month integrated testing period planned before commissioning. Alstom will also maintain the trains for 15 years beyond warranty, including upkeep of depot equipment and spares. These trains, part of Metropolis family, will be fully manufactured at Alstom’s Sri City facility under Make In India initiative, with design handled by its Bengaluru engineering centre.

दिल्ली परिवहन निगम-डीटीसी ने कल दिल्ली के परिवहन मंत्री पंकज कुमार सिंह की अध्यक्षता में बैठक की। बैठक में 100 नई इलेक्ट्रिक इंटर-स्टेट बसें शुरू करने का निर्णय लिया गया। ये बसें दिल्ली को पड़ोसी राज्यों और धार्मिक स्थलों से जोड़ेंगी। श्री सिंह ने इसे सतत परिवहन और ग्रीन दिल्ली की दिशा में अहम कदम बताया। बैठक में डीटीसी की आय बढ़ाने के लिए विज्ञापनों के जरिये नॉन-फेयर रेवेन्यू बढ़ाने की योजना भी पेश की गई, जिससे सालाना ₹5 करोड़ की आमदनी संभावित है।

The Karnataka police have intensified their investigation into the tragic stampede that claimed 11 lives outside Chinnaswamy Stadium during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) IPL victory celebration earlier this week.
Fresh First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed against multiple parties including the Royal Challengers Bengaluru franchise and few members of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) for alleged lapses in event management. Earlier an FIR was registered against RCB’s event management firm, DNA Entertainment Networks.
Following a petition filed by the State Cricket Association, the Karnataka High Court has directed the Bengaluru police not to take any coercive action against three office bearers of KSCA including Association President Raghuram Bhat, Secretary A. Shankar, and Treasurer E.S. Jairam, provided they cooperate with the probe. Justice S.R. Krishna Kumar issued the interim order, with the next hearing scheduled for Monday.

South Western Railway General Manager Mukul Saran Mathur carried out a window trailing inspection of the Hubballi Toranagallu section of railway track to assess operational and safety parameters. A private sector steel company is the important customer of Railways in Toranagallu. Mukul Mathur inspected the South Yard of the steel company and sought details on the raw material handling processes. He noted that the current operational practices are of high standards following high standards of efficiency and safety measures in material management. He discussed with the company representatives on ways to optimise operations. He also deliberated on increasing loading capacity to support 25 axle loads, wagon unloading and enhance rake turnaround time, streamline loading and unloading operations. The steel company requested the railway General Manager to increase the supply of CC rakes to facilitate the transport of finished products over longer distances.

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने सामान्य प्रवेश परीक्षा-सीईटी राज्य के बाहर आयोजित करने पर रोक लगाने का निर्णय लिया है। इन परीक्षाओं की सत्यनिष्ठा पर सवाल उठाने वाली कुछ घटनाओं के बाद यह निर्णय लिया गया है।
इस वर्ष मार्च में, MBA CET पर एक घोटाले के आरोप लगे थे, जिसमें छात्रों को ग्यारह लाख से लेकर बीस लाख तक के भुगतान के बदले प्रमुख संस्थानों में गारंटीकृत प्रवेश देने की पेशकश करने वाले अनचाहे कॉल शामिल थे। शिकायत के बाद, मुंबई पुलिस ने दिल्ली से तीन व्यक्तियों को गिरफ्तार किया। वर्तमान में, महाराष्ट्र CET सेल विभिन्न व्यावसायिक पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए 18 से अधिक प्रवेश परीक्षाएँ आयोजित करता है। जबकि अधिकांश परीक्षा केंद्र महाराष्ट्र के भीतर हैं, कुछ CET जैसे MHT-CET, MBA CET और LLB CET राज्य के बाहर के चुनिंदा शहरों में भी आयोजित किए गए थे, जिनमें पटना, लखनऊ, अहमदाबाद और बेंगलुरु शामिल हैं, ताकि राज्य के बाहर के उम्मीदवारों की सुविधा हो सके।

पश्चिमी रेलवे ने कल सुबह 10 बजकर 35 मिनट से दोपहर तीन बजकर 35 मिनट तक चर्चगेट और मुंबई सेंट्रल के बीच पांच घंटे के मेगा ब्लॉक की घोषणा की है, ताकि आवश्यक ट्रैक, सिग्नलिंग और ओवरहेड रखरखाव का कार्य किया जा सके। सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में, पश्चिमी रेलवे ने कहा कि ब्लॉक अवधि के दौरान सभी धीमी लाइन वाली उपनगरीय ट्रेनें तेज़ लाइनों पर चलेंगी। इसने यह भी कहा कि कई अप और डाउन उपनगरीय ट्रेनें रद्द कर दी गई हैं, जबकि चर्चगेट जाने वाली कुछ ट्रेनों को बांद्रा या दादर में शॉर्ट-टर्मिनेट या रिवर्स किया जाएगा। यात्रियों को सलाह दी है कि वे अपडेट की गई ट्रेन शेड्यूल देखें और असुविधा से बचने के लिए उसी के अनुसार अपनी यात्रा की योजना बनाएं।

Bengaluru is expected to have a generally cloudy sky with light rain. The minimum temperature was 22 degree Celsius and maximum will be around 31 degree.
Hyderabad is also expected to have partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorm or duststorm. The temperature will hover between minimum of 25 degree and a maximum of 37 degree Celsius.

और अब समय है इतिहास के पन्नों में दर्ज उन घटनाओं पर नज़र डालने का जो आज के दिन का इतिहास बन गई। हालांकि उससे पहले जानते हैं कि आज की दिन और किन मायनों में खास है–
7 जून यानी आज का दिन विश्व खाद्य सुरक्षा दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि हर व्यक्ति तक सुरक्षित और पोषक आहार पहुंचे। भोजन में मौजूद बैक्टीरिया, विषैले पदार्थ, रसायन या अशुद्धताएं अनेक घातक बीमारियों का कारण बन सकती हैं। ऐसे में इस दिन का मुख्य उद्देश्य सरकारों, उत्पादन कंपनियों, विक्रेताओं और उपभोक्ताओं को जागरूक करना है कि भोजन की पूरी प्रक्रिया – उत्पादन से लेकर उपभोग तक – में स्वच्छता और सुरक्षा का विशेष ध्यान रखा जाए।
विश्व खाद्य सुरक्षा दिवस पहली बार 7 जून 2019 को मनाया गया था। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने दिसंबर 2018 में एक प्रस्ताव पारित कर इस दिन को आधिकारिक मान्यता दी थी।
हर साल इस दिन को एक खास थीम के साथ मनाया जाता है जो उस समय की खाद्य सुरक्षा से जुड़ी चुनौतियों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करती है। इस वर्ष की थीम है: “Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected” जो यह बताता है कि प्राकृतिक आपदाओं, महामारी या तकनीकी विफलताओं जैसे हालातों में भी खाद्य आपूर्ति श्रृंखला को सुरक्षित रखना कितना जरूरी है. इससे हमें सिखने को मिलता है कि हम सभी को खाद्य संकट की स्थितियों में सजग और तैयार रहना चाहिए.

⦁ 1893 – Mahatma Gandhi, who was practising law in South Africa faced racial discrimination and was denied entry to a train. He was traveling from Durban to Pretoria with a first-class ticket. Despite having a valid ticket, a European passenger demanded that authorities move Mahatma Gandhi to a different compartment because of his race. Gandhi refused, asserting his right to remain in first class. Consequently, he was forcibly thrown out from the train at Pietermaritzburg station. This incident is widely seen as the catalyst that ignited Gandhi’s dedication to civil rights and justice, paving the way for his future leadership in both South Africa and India.

आज पुण्यतिथि है- एक भारतीय भौतिक विज्ञानी और चेन्नई में गणितीय विज्ञान संस्थान के संस्थापक अल्लादी रामकृष्णन की। उन्होंने स्टोकेस्टिक प्रक्रिया, कण भौतिकी, मैट्रिक्स के बीजगणित, सापेक्षता के विशेष सिद्धांत और क्वांटम मेकैनिक्स में योगदान दिया। उत्पाद दर्शन पर उनका काम कैम्ब्रिज फिलॉसॉफिकल सोसाइटी की कार्यवाही में दिखाई दिया।

आज ही के दिन पुण्यतिथि है, नटराज रामकृष्ण की, जो भारत के एक नृत्य गुरु थे। वे आंध्र प्रदेश संगीत नाटक अकादमी के अध्यक्ष रहे थे। वे एक स्कोलर और संगीतज्ञ भी थे, जिन्होंने आंध्र प्रदेश और दुनिया भर में शास्त्रीय नृत्य को बढ़ावा दिया। उन्होंने 40 से अधिक पुस्तकें लिखीं, जिनमें से कई को अत्यधिक सम्मानित किया गया। नृत्य की कला में नटराज रामकृष्ण के योगदान को व्यापक रूप से मान्यता प्राप्त है। मात्र 18 साल की उम्र में ही नटराज रामकृष्ण को मराठा के तत्कालीन शासक द्वारा नागपुर में ‘नटराज’ की उपाधि दी गई थी। वर्ष 1992 में उन्हें पद्मश्री पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किया गया।

और अब हम उनकी बात करेंगे, जिन्हें “भारतीय टेलीविजन की रानी” के रूप में जाना जाता है। जो टेलीविजन और फिल्म निर्माता, मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर और बालाजी टेलीफिल्म्स लिमिटेड की प्रमुख होने के साथ-साथ निर्देशक भी हैं। जी हां बिल्कुल सही समझा आपने, हम बात कर रहे हैं एकता कपूर की। हम पांच, क्योंकि सास भी कभी बहू थी, कहानी घर-घर की और कसौटी ज़िंदगी की जैसे धारावाहिक से एकता कपूर ने हर-घर में अपनी पहचान बनाई। एकता कपूर अब तक की इकलौती भारतीय महिला निर्माता हैं, जिन्हें इंटरनेशनल एमी अवॉर्ड मिला है। इसके साथ ही उन्हें पद्मश्री से भी सम्मानित किया गया है। आज वो अपना 50वां जन्मदिन मना रही हैं और ये पल इसलिए भी खास है क्योंकि इस साल वो एक प्रोड्यूसर के तौर पर अपने 30 साल पूरे कर रही हैं. इस बीच ‘क्योंकि सास भी कभी बहू थी’ की भी वापसी हो रही है। आइए सुनते हैं इसका टाइटल सॉन्ग-
एकता ने 2001 में बॉलीवुड में फिल्म निर्माता के रूप में कदम रखा, जिसकी शुरुआत उन्होंने फिल्म क्योंकि…मैं झूठ नहीं बोलता से की, इसमें उन्होंने सुष्मिता सेन और गोविंदा को कास्ट किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने कई हिट फिल्में बनाई। अलौकिक विषयों पर आधारित उनकी फिल्म कृष्णा कॉटेज को भी लोगों ने खूब पसंद किया, इनके गाने आज भी लोगों की जुबान पर हैं। उन्हीं में से एक है-
