The Election Commission has constituted a task force to monitor heat wave conditions before every phase of the Lok Sabha polls. The task force comprises officials from the Election Commission, IMD, National Disaster Management Authority and the Ministry of Health. They will review the impact of heat wave and humidity, five days before each polling phase for any concerning developments and mitigatory measures.
The Commission will also hold a separate review with State Chief Electoral Officers to ensure adequate arrangements at polling stations including shamiyana, drinking water, fans, and other assured minimum facilities.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras sees over 25 thousand students enrol for data science and electronic systems programs, targeting 50 thousand in 2 to 3 years. The Institute said that the final date will be 26th May. Director of the Institute V.Kamakoti said that data science and electronic systems are two areas with the highest job opportunities and are expected to continue recording a huge demand in the coming years. He said that India will be a major player in semiconductor chip manufacturing and this would create more jobs in the field. Professor. Aniruddhan, head of the electronic systems program said that the four year course will equip students to design, develop and test electronic and communication systems for a wide range of devices , from everyday technology such as smart phones and computers to cutting edge medical equipment and automotive systems.

अप्रैल महीने में मनाये जा रहे ऑटिज्म माह के तहत कल अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान- एम्स में एक सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया गया। इसका उद्देश्य ऑटिज्म स्पेक्ट्रम डिसऑडर्र, एएसडी से जुड़ी विभिन्न जटिलताओं के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाना और उनके निदान के बारे में जानकारी देना था।
ऑटिज्म के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए बाल रोग विभाग की चाइल्ड न्यूरोलॉजी डिवीज़न की प्रमुख प्रोफेसर शेफाली गुलाटी ने बातया कि ऑटिज्म एक तंत्रिका विकास सम्बंधी विकार है, जिसकी वजह से बच्चे सही समय पर नहीं बोल पाते हैं और लोगों से घुलने-मिलने में दिक्कत महसूस करते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि बच्चों के इस विकार का निदान 12 से 18 महीने की उम्र में ही किया जा सकता है। प्रोफेसर गुलाटी ने बताया कि एक अध्ययन में यह पता चला है कि बच्चों में ऑटिज्म के मामले बढ रहे हैं और 36 में से एक व्यक्ति ऑटिज्म से ग्रस्त है।
प्रोफेसर शेफाली ने यह भी बताया है कि इस तरह के बच्चों को समय पर व्यावहारिक थेरेपी देकर इस बीमारी की रोकथाम की जा सकती है और बच्चों को सक्षम बनाया जा सकता है। दो अप्रैल को हर वर्ष विश्व ऑटिज्म जागरूकता दिवस मनाया जाता है, जो पूरे महीने चलता है। एम्स दिल्ली में इस माह का विषय- ऑटिज्म के विभिन्न रंग-आईए इस गुत्थी को सुलझाएं है।
दिल्ली – गाजीपुर आग
पूर्वी दिल्ली के गाजीपुर ‘लैंडफिल साइट’ पर लगी आग के मामले में पुलिस ने अज्ञात व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। पुलिस ने इस मामले में जांच भी शुरू कर दी है। इस आग के बाद से स्थानीय निवासियों को जहरीलें धुएं का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। लोग सांस लेने में भी दिक्कत महसूस कर रहे हैं। दिल्ली दमकल विभाग के अनुसार, कचरे के विशाल पहाड़ से उत्पन्न गैसों के कारण गाजीपुर स्थित लैंडफिल साइट पर भीषण आग लग गई थी।

In Karnataka 227 candidates remain in fray for the III phase of election to be held on May 7 in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies. After scrutiny, 109 nominations were rejected on the last day for withdrawal, 45 nominations were withdrawn. Out of 227 candidates finally in the electoral contest, 206 are Male and 21 are female candidates. Davangere parliamentary constituency has the highest of 30 candidates in fray and the lowest of eight candidates are in fray in Bijapur and Raichur. The Shorapura Legislative Assembly by-election will also be held on May 7. There are six candidates in fray after the last day to withdraw the nominations ended yesterday. Apart from BJP and Congress there are four Independents whose nominations were accepted from Shorapur. All the candidates in the race are male candidates. The Shorapur assembly seat in Yadgir district fell vacant due to the death of Congress MLA Raja Venkatappa Naik. His son Raja Venugopal Naik has been given the ticket by the Congress party and the BJP candidate squaring against him is Narasimha Naik.

In Telangana, a total 144 candidates have filed 169 nominations on the fourth day of filing nominations yesterday. With this, a total 209 candidates filed 325 nominations so far in the state. BJP’s Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, BB Patil, Seetaram Naik and Congress nominee Athram Suguna were among many candidates who filed their nominations in the state for the Lok Sabha polls yesterday.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal accompanied Vishweshwar Reddy when he filed the nomination as BJP nominee from Chevella Constituency. Piyush Goyal expressed confidence that BJP candidates will be hugely successful in Telangana.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju attended roadshows in support of BJP candidates Seetaram Naik in Mahabubabad and Saidi Reddy in Nalgonda. Taking on to the X, he said a BJP wave is palpable in Telangana just like all over India.
Chief Minister and state Congress president A Revanth Reddy addressed a rally in support of Congress nominee from Adilabad Athram Suguna. Polling for the Lok Sabha elections will be held in Telangana on 13th next month.

राष्ट्रीय फिल्म विकास निगम – एनएफडीसी ने एनिमेटरों के लिए पांच दिवसीय गहन कार्यशाला की घोषणा की है। एक आधिकारिक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, एनीमेशन क्रैश कोर्स और वीएफएक्स पाइपलाइन कार्यशाला 18वें मुंबई अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव के मौके पर 16 से 20 जून के बीच आयोजित की जाएगी। इसमें 20 सीटें होंगी और आवेदक एनिमेटर वेबसाइट animation-crash-course पर पंजीकरण कर अपना स्लॉट बुक कर सकते हैं। इस वर्कशॉप की फीस दस हजार रुपये तय की गई है।
एमसीजीएम
प्री-मानसून तैयारियों के तहत, ग्रेटर मुंबई नगर निगम ने पेड़ों की छंटाई शुरू कर दी है। नगर निकाय ने बताया है कि अब तक 22 हजार से अधिक पेड़ों की छंटाई की जा चुकी है, जबकि चार हजार 909 से अधिक संगठनों को उनके परिसर में पेड़ों की छंटाई करने के लिए नोटिस जारी किए गए हैं। काम में तेजी लाने के लिए एमसीजीएम ने नागरिकों से सहयोग मांगा है और उनसे कहा है कि वे अपने वाहन बड़े पेड़ों के किनारे पार्क न करें। मुंबई में 29 लाख से अधिक पेड़ हैं और नागरिक निकाय को 7 जून तक छंटाई पूरी करने की उम्मीद है।
कोलकाता हाई कोर्ट
कोलकाता हाई कोर्ट की डिवीजन बेंच ने स्कूल सर्विस कमीशन 2016 भर्ती रद्द कर दी है। इस बेंच का गठन सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश से किया गया था। इसमें ग्रुप सी और डी तथा कक्षा 9, 10, 11 और 12 के शिक्षकों सहित कुल 25 हजार 753 पद थे।
एसएससी की 2016 भर्ती में हुए भ्रष्टाचार घोटाले पर कोलकाता हाई कोर्ट की खंडपीठ ने फैसला सुनाया है। अवैध तरीके से नौकरी पाने वालों को 4 हफ्ते के अंदर 12 फीसदी ब्याज के साथ वेतन लौटाना होगा।

Ray is widely considered one of the greatest and most influential film directors in the history of cinema.He is celebrated for works including The Apu Trilogy (1955–1959),The Music Room (1958), The Big City (1963) and Charulata (1964) and the Goopy–Bagha trilogy.
Ray was born in Calcutta to author Sukumar Ray. Starting his career as a commercial artist, Ray was drawn into independent film-making after meeting French filmmaker Jean Renoir and viewing Vittorio De Sica’s Italian neorealist film Bicycle Thieves (1948) during a visit to London.
Ray received many awards, including 36 National Film Awards by the Government of India, and awards at international film festivals. एक खास बात आपको बता दें कि शमशाद बेगम ने अपने सिंगिंग करियर की शुरुआत आकाशवाणी से की थी। उनकी पहली हिंदी फ़िल्म ‘खजांची’ थी। फ़िल्म के सारे 9 गाने शमशाद ने गाए। उन्होंने 16 दिसंबर, 1947 को पेशावर रेडियो के लिए गाना गया। उनके इस गाने से ओ.पी. नैय्यर काफ़ी प्रभावित हुए और उन्हें अपनी फ़िल्म में गाने का मौका दिया। 50, 60 और 70 के दशक में शमशाद संगीतकारों की पसंदीदा हुआ करती थीं। हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के कई सुपरहिट गीत, जैसे- ‘कभी आर कभी पार’, ‘कजरा मोहब्बत वाला’, ‘लेके पहला-पहला प्यार’, ‘बूझ मेरा क्या नाम रे’ शमशाद बेगम की ही सुरीली आवाज़ में हैं। इन गीतों की लोकप्रियता ने शमशाद बेगम को प्रसिद्धि की बुलन्दियों पर पहुँचा दिया था।
1968 में आई फ़िल्म ‘किस्मत’ में शमशाद बेगम ने हिरोइन बबीता नहीं बल्कि हीरो विश्वजीत के लिए आवाज़ दी थी। फ़िल्म में विश्वजीत पर फ़िल्माए कुछ गानों में वो लड़की के भेष में थे जिसके लिए आवाज़ शमशाद की इस्तेमाल की गई।
नए जमाने में शमशाद बेगम के जितने गानों को रिमिक्स किया गया शायद ही किसी और गायक के गानों को किया गया हो। ख़ास बात ये रही कि शमशाद का ओरिजनल गाना जितना मशहूर हुआ उतने ही हिट उनके रिमिक्स भी हुए वर्ष 2009 में भारत सरकार ने शमशाद बेगम को कला के क्षेत्र में उनके विशिष्ट योगदान के लिए ‘पद्मभूषण’ से सम्मानित किया था।

अन्नपूर्णा देवी (अंग्रेज़ी: Annapurna Devi, मूल नाम- रोशनआरा ख़ान, जन्म: 23 अप्रैल, 1927, मध्य प्रदेश)
आज ही जन्मदिन है शास्त्रीय संगीत शैली में सुरबहार यानि बास का सितार बजाने वाली एकमात्र महिला उस्ताद अन्नपूर्णा देवी का। ये प्रख्यात संगीतकार अलाउद्दीन ख़ान की बेटी और शिष्या हैं। इनके पिता तत्कालीन प्रसिद्ध ‘सेनिया मैहर घराने’ के संस्थापक थे।
अन्नपूर्णा देवी के अवार्ड्स की बात करें तो 1991 में संगीत नाटक अकादमी द्वारा भारतीय संगीत कला को आगे बढ़ाने में इनके द्वारा दिये गये विशेष योगदान के लिए इन्हें सर्वोच्च सम्मान ‘संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया।
2004 – में संगीत नाटक अकादमी’ ने इन्हें अपना (ज्वेल फेलो) घोषित किया।1999 – में विश्व-भारती यूनिवर्सिटी ने इन्हें ‘डॉक्टरेट’ की मानद उपाधि से विभूषित किया। 1977 – अन्नपूर्णा देवी को भारत सरकार ने अपने तीसरे सबसे बड़े नागरिक सम्मान ‘पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया।

आज हम उषा गांगुली को याद कर रहे हैं जिनकी आज पुण्य तिथि है और जो प्रसिद्ध भारतीय समाज सेविका तथा रंगमंच की अभिनेत्री और निर्देशक थीं। कोलकाता में उन्होंने हिंदी थियेटर स्थापित किया। उनको वहां वैकल्पिक हिंदी रंगमंच के एक नए रूप को लाने का श्रेय दिया जाता है। उषा गांगुली का नाटक ‘काशी का अस्सी’ बहुत चर्चित रहा था। उन्हें वर्ष 1998 में संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था।
