`In Panama, the all-Party Indian delegation headed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor held a meeting with the Panama Assembly President, Dana Castaneda. During his meeting, Mr. Tharoor said that India had no interest in starting a war, but felt that a terrorist act must not go unpunished.
In South Africa, the all-Party delegation led by NCP (SCP) Supriya Sule advocated India’s zero-tolerance policy towards cross-border terrorism. They emphasized the need to stop differentiating the terrorists and their backers, dismantling the cross-border terrorism infrastructure, developed and used against India for several decades.
All-Party Indian delegation headed by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde held a meeing with Prof. Berthold Ulungu who is an MP and President of Committee of Foreign Affairs of National Assembly of Congo. During the meeting, the delegation apprised him about terrorist attack in Pahalgam and India’s measured, calibrated, and non-escalatory response.
In Singapore, an all party Parliamentary delegation led by JD (U) MP Sanjay Jha called on Edwin Tong, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs of that country. The delegation conveyed India’s resolve in fighting terrorism in all its forms.
During its visit to France, the all party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad met the members of Parliament in the French National Assembly.
An all-party delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi arrived in Greece, where it called on senior officials and emphasised India’s “new normal” of zero tolerance against cross-border terrorism.

India has received foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows worth 81.04 billion US dollars in the financial year 2024-25. It reflects a 14 percent increase from 71.28 billion US dollars in the financial year 2023-24.
Ministry of Commerce and Industry in a statement said that the services sector emerged as the top recipient of FDI equity in 2024-25 by attracting 19 percent of total inflows. FDI into the services sector also rose by 40.77 percent to 9.35 billion US dollars from 6.64 billion dollars in the previous year.

मौसम विभाग ने कहा है कि इस वर्ष मानसून सीजन में देशभर में वर्षा सामान्य से अधिक होने की संभावना है। मौसम विभाग ने यह भी बताया कि इस वर्ष मानसून जल्दी शुरू हो गया है और अगले महीने उत्तर पश्चिम भारत, मध्य और पूर्व भारत के आस पास के क्षेत्रों में हीट वेव के दिनों की संख्या कम रहने की उम्मीद है। नई दिल्ली में संवाददाताओं को संबोधित करते हुए पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय के सचिव एम रविचंद्रन ने कहा कि सामान्य से अधिक वर्षा न केवल दक्षिणी प्रायद्वीप में बल्कि मध्य भारत में भी होने की संभावना है। उन्होंने बताया कि उत्तर पश्चिम भारत में सामान्य वर्षा की उम्मीद है, जबकि उत्तर पूर्वी भारत में कम वर्षा होने का अनुमान है।
मौसम विभाग के महानिदेशक, मृत्युंजय महापात्रा ने कहा कि जून से सितंबर के बीच होने वाली वर्षा मौसमी औसत से अधिक रहने की संभावना है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि इस अवधि के दौरान देश में वर्षा सामान्य से ऊपर रहेगी।

Today we remember Param Vir Chakra awardee Subedar Joginder Singh who made the supreme sacrifice during the Sino-Indian war in 1962.
During the 1962 Sino-Indian War, Subedar Joginder Singh led a platoon in the Tawang Sector of NEFA, holding a strategic position on a ridge in the Tongpeng La area on the Bum La axis. On October 20, his platoon observed a significant Chinese troop buildup across the McMahon Line, signaling an impending attack. At dawn on October 23, the Chinese launched a major assault in three waves of roughly 200 soldiers each, supported by artillery and mortar fire. Despite being heavily outnumbered, Subedar Singh’s platoon offered fierce resistance, repelling the first waves with heavy enemy casualties. Wounded in the thigh, he refused evacuation and continued to inspire his men. As the final and most forceful wave advanced, with ammunition depleted and few men remaining, Subedar Singh took control of a light machine gun, inflicting significant damage. When the situation became desperate, he and his remaining soldiers charged the enemy with fixed bayonets. They engaged in close combat, killing many before being overwhelmed. For his extraordinary courage, leadership, and devotion to duty, Subedar Joginder Singh was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. SAKLEN AKHTAR FOR AKASHVANI NEWS, DELHI.”

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has forecast a normal southwest monsoon from June to September for most districts in Tamil Nadu this year. Near-normal rainfall is expected in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Karur, Namakkal, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Kanyakumari districts. Among all the districts, the Nilgiris is expected to receive the highest rainfall of 860 mm, while Tuticorin is expected to receive the lowest at 59 mm.

Karnataka’s Skill Development Minister has stated that the future of rural youth will be safeguarded through schemes focused on empowerment and innovation. He was speaking at a conference on the National Rural Livelihood Mission held in Bengaluru yesterday.
He said the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rural Skill Development Programme is shaping the future of young people, calling it a key initiative aimed at empowering and engaging rural youth in livelihood missions. Through this programme, youth are equipped with the skills necessary to secure decent employment. This, he added, will enhance their livelihoods and contribute to poverty alleviation. He emphasized that by economically empowering the youth, Karnataka is also strengthening its financial standing.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said the state government has procured 64.5 lakh tonnes of paddy till date during the current rabi season as against 42 lakh tonnes during the same season last year. An official statement said 90 per cent of paddy procurement was completed and the government credited the payments to the farmers within 48 hours of paddy procurement.
In view of the advanced southwest monsoon, the Chief Minister instructed the district collectors to prepare an action plan and work out accordingly in the procurement of paddy in some places. He also assured that the government will purchase all paddy stockpiled in the market yards.

महाराष्ट्र के पालघर ज़िले में मई के पहले हफ़्ते में हुई बेमौसम बारिश से नौ हजार से ज़्यादा किसान और मछुआरे प्रभावित हुए हैं और प्रशासन ने नुकसान का आकलन किया है। ज़िला प्रशासन की ओर से जारी आधिकारिक विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, राज्य आपदा प्रतिक्रिया कोष से वित्तीय सहायता के लिए सरकार को एक व्यापक राहत प्रस्ताव भेजा गया था। प्रशासन द्वारा साझा किए गए आंकड़ों के अनुसार, बारिश के कारण 2 हजार से अधिक घर नष्ट हो गये। इस संबंध में एक प्रस्ताव राज्य सरकार को सौंपा गया है। विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया है कि बेमौसम बारिश में काफी किसानों की फ़सलें बर्बाद हो गईं। इसके अलावा 99 नावें आंशिक रूप से क्षतिग्रस्त हो गईं तथा दो नावें नष्ट हो गईं, जिसके लिए प्रशासन ने प्रभावित मछुआरों के लिए एसडीआरएफ से वित्तीय सहायता की मांग की है।

दक्षिणी पश्चिम बंगाल के सभी जिलों में आज से भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है। यह दो दिनों तक जारी रहेगी। कल ओडिशा तट से दूर उत्तर पश्चिमी बंगाल की खाड़ी में कम दबाव का क्षेत्र बना है। इस कम दबाव के क्षेत्र के उत्तर की ओर बढ़ने की उम्मीद है।
इस बीच, दक्षिण पश्चिम मानसून की बंगाल की खाड़ी शाखा उत्तर पूर्व भारत के कुछ हिस्सों में पहुंच गई है। आने वाले दो-तीन दिनों में मानसून उत्तर बंगाल और सिक्किम के उप हिमालयी जिलों में पहुंच जाएगा। मौसम विभाग के अलीपुर मौसम कार्यालय ने आकाशवाणी को यह जानकारी दी है।
दूसरी ओर, मंगलवार को उत्तर बंगाल के जिलों में बारिश हो रही है। आईएमडी ने आने वाले दिनों में उत्तर बंगाल के सभी जिलों में हल्की से मध्यम बारिश का अनुमान लगाया है। समुद्र की खराब स्थिति के कारण मछुआरों को 31 मई तक समुद्र में न जाने की सलाह दी गई है।

डी. वी. पलुस्कर ने अपना पहला कार्यक्रम चौदह वर्ष की आयु में पंजाब में हरिवल्लभ संगीत सम्मेलन में दिया। उत्तराधिकार में उन्हें ग्वालियर घराना और गंधर्व महाविद्यालय मिला, परंतु वे अन्य घरानों और शैलियों की सुंदर विशेषताओं को अपनाने के लिए हमेशा तैयार रहते थे।
डी. वी. पलुस्कर की आवाज़ बहुत मधुर और सुरीली थी। उनके आलाप उनके गाये राग का स्पष्ट रेखांकन करते थे; इसके बाद उनकी सहज शैली की तानों से सुसज्जित बंदिशें आती थीं।
उन्हें थोड़ी ही अवधि में राग का संपूर्ण आकर्षक चित्र प्रस्तुत करने में महारत हासिल थी। शुद्ध शास्त्रीय संगीत के अतिरिक्त वे महान् भजन गायक भी थे।
उन्हें फ़िल्म बैजू बावरा (1952 फ़िल्म) में उस्ताद अमीर ख़ान के साथ एक अविस्मरणीय युगलबंदी के लिए भी जाना जाता है।
पंडित डी. वी. पलुस्कर का निधन 26 अक्तूबर, 1955 को मात्र 34 वर्ष की अवस्था में ही एनसिफिलाइटिस के कारण हो गया।

1883 birth anniversary tributes Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, also known as Veer Savarkar, was an Indian independence activist, lawyer, writer, and politician. Savarkar started his activism when he was in high school. He also founded Mitra Mela in 1903 with his elder brother Ganesh Savarkar which later became Abhinav Bharat Society in 1906, and its main objectives were to overthrow British rule and revive the Indian pride.
पंडित गोपाल प्रसाद व्यास (अंग्रेज़ी: Gopal Prasad Vyas; जन्म- 13 फरवरी, 1915, गोवर्धन, मथुरा; मृत्यु- 28 मई, 2005, नई दिल्ली) भारत के प्रसिद्ध कवियों, लेखकों और साहित्यकारों में से एक थे। वे ब्रजभाषा के कवि, समीक्षक, व्याकरण, साहित्य-शास्त्र, रस-रीति, अलंकार, नायिका-भेद और पिंगल के मर्मज्ञ माने जाते थे। पंडित जी हिन्दी में व्यंग्य-विनोद की नई धारा के जनक थे। गोपाल प्रसाद व्यास हास्य रस में पत्नीवाद के प्रवर्तक माने जाते थे। वे सामाजिक, साहित्यिक, राजनीतिक व्यंग्य-विनोद के प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त कवि एवं लेखक थे और ‘हास्यरसावतार’ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध थे।

विजय सिंह पथिक (अंग्रेज़ी: Vijay Singh Pathik; जन्म- 27 फ़रवरी, 1882, ज़िला बुलंदशहर, उत्तर प्रदेश; मृत्यु- 28 मई, 1954, मथुरा) भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए संघर्ष करने वाले वीर क्रांतिकारियों में से एक थे। इनके ऊपर अपनी माँ और परिवार की क्रान्तिकारी व देशभक्ति से परिपूर्ण पृष्ठभूमि का बहुत गहरा असर पड़ा था। विजय सिंह पथिक अपनी युवावस्था में ही रासबिहारी बोस और शचीन्द्रनाथ सान्याल जैसे अमर क्रान्तिकारियों के सम्पर्क में आ गए थे। वैसे विजय सिंह पथिक जी का मूल नाम ‘भूपसिंह’ था, किंतु ‘लाहौर षड़यंत्र’ के बाद उन्होंने अपना नाम बदल कर विजय सिंह पथिक रख लिया और फिर अपने जीवन के अंत समय तक वे इसी नाम से जाने जाते रहे। महात्मा गाँधी के ‘सत्याग्रह आन्दोलन’ से बहुत पहले ही पथिक जी ने ‘बिजोलिया किसान आन्दोलन’ के नाम से किसानों में स्वतंत्रता के प्रति अलख जगाने का कार्य प्रारम्भ कर दिया था।
