प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी आज राजस्थान के बीकानेर में, 26 हजार करोड़ रुपए से अधिक लागत वाली कई विकास परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखेंगे और उद्घाटन करेंगे। इनमें रेल, सड़क मार्ग, बिजली, जल और नवीन तथा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षेत्र से जुड़ी परियोजनाएं शामिल हैं। प्रधानमंत्री अपनी यात्रा के दौरान 18 राज्यों के 86 जिलों के 103 अमृत स्टेशनों का उद्घाटन भी करेंगे। इनमें देशनोक अमृत स्टेशन का उद्घाटन शामिल है। श्री मोदी देशनोक में करणी माता मंदिर का दर्शन करेंगे जो वास्तुकला का एक अद्भुत उदाहरण है। वे बीकानेर-मुम्बई एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन को रवाना करेंगे और बीकानेर के पालना में, एक जनसभा को भी संबोधित करेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री देशनोक सहित राजस्थान के आठ स्टेशनों उद्घाटन करेंगे। इनमें बूंदी, मंडलगढ़, गोगामेढी, गोविन्दगढ़, मंडावर-महुआ रोड़, फतेहपुर शेखावती और राजगढ़ शामिल हैं। रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा कि अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना के अंतर्गत पुनर्विकास के लिए 13 सौ से अधिक रेलवे स्टेशनों को चिन्ह्ति किया गया है। इनमें से पहले एक सौ तीन अमृत स्टेशनों का उद्घाटन प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी राजस्थान की धरती से करेंगे। श्री वैष्णव ने यह भी कहा कि 2027 तक ऐसे लगभग पांच सौ स्टेशन का विकास कार्य पूरा हो जाएगा। अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना की रूपरेखा स्थानीय संस्कृति, विरासत और वास्तुकला से प्रेरित है।
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually launch six newly Amrit railway stations in Madhya Pradesh under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana.
The six upgraded stations in Madhya Pradesh are Katni South, Shridham, Narmadapuram, Shajapur, Seoni, and Orchha. These stations have been developed at a cost of more than 86 crores Rupees keeping in mind the practical requirements as well as the regional cultural features. The passenger friendly facilities developed at these stations include special entrances, better lighting, newly constructed platforms, luxurious waiting rooms, ticketing services, electronic displays and hygiene facilities.
India has launched its aggressive global campaign to further expose Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. Two all party delegations left for nine nation tour yesterday. An all-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha left for five nation tour of Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and Singapore as part of India’s diplomatic outreach on Operation Sindoor. Another delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde also embarked on a visit to UAE, Liberia, Congo and Sierra Leone to affirm New Delhi’s resolve on combating terrorism in all its forms. The delegations will carry India’s strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism and apprise about Operation Sindoor.
Talking to the media before the departure of his delegation, Mr. Sanjay Jha said terrorism is a part of Pakistan’s state policy, and they will tell the world how Islamabad has been sponsoring terrorism.
Our correspondent reports that seven multi-party delegations have been set up to reach out to the international community on Pakistan’s nefarious designs and India’s successful anti-terror operation. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will brief the delegations today. The group, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, will visit Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Algeria. This delegation will include Veteran leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi. The delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, will visit the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark. The delegation includes, Congress MP Dr Amar Singh, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and former Union Minister M J Akbar. The delegation, led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, will visit the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia. The delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, will visit Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. It includes National Conference MP Mian Altaf Ahmed, Samajawadi party MP Rajeev Rai and RJD MP Prem Chand Gupta. The seventh group led by NCP (SCP) MP Supriya Sule, will visit Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa. This delegation also includes BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Anurag Singh Thakur, former Union Minister V Muraleedharan as well as Congress MP Manish Tewari.

Today we remember Param Vir Chakra awardee Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal who gave supreme sacrifice during 1971 Indo-Pak War.
Born in 1950 in Pune, Maharashtra, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal was commissioned into the Poona Horse regiment in June 1971. At the age of just 21 years, he displayed unmatched courage during the Indo-Pak war of 1971.
On December 16, 1971, the enemy launched a counter attack targeting Jarpal in Shakargarh Sector, under the cover of a smoke screen. As the Indians were heavily outnumbered, a fellow commander from ‘B’ Squadron, requested reinforcement. Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal was positioned close by with his troops in two tanks and he answered the call for reinforcement. On the way, his troops came under fire from enemy strong points. He fiercely attacked the points, over ran defences and captured many enemy soldiers. During the attack, the Commander of his Second tank was killed leaving him alone. But he continued the attack on the enemy strongholds single handedly until all enemy positions were overwhelmed. Then racing to B Squadron position, he destroyed one enemy tank. During the enemy’s second attack which was followed by a fierce tank battle, ten enemy tanks were destroyed and of these, four were destroyed by Khetarpal alone. His tank was shot and burst into flames but he continued to destroy the enemy tanks. His tank got hit again and he made the supreme sacrifice while denying the enemy their intended breakthrough. For most conspicuous gallantry in the face of the enemy, 2nd Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra in 1972. The Nation Salutes Him. Shooter Kanak has bagged India’s first gold medal at the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany. Kanak outperformed Anna Dulce of Moldova, a two-time Olympian and reigning European Champion, by 1.7 points.

Scientists of the Indian Institute of Madras and Czech Academy of sciences have studied the brain wave data from 176 people with serious depression. The study is to benefit the patients to access the right treatment method quickly. The data from the neurophysiological test, electroencephalography used to measure and record the brain’s electrical activity, can predict if treatment such as stimulation or anti depression has an effect in the first week. The early prediction can help patients access the right treatment method quickly. Combining EEG with advanced machine learning scientists looked for measurable signals or characteristics, such as electrical activity patterns or chemical levels that indicate normal brain function in presence of psychiatric conditions in the first week of taking antidepressants and used computers to find patterns. The scientists found that subtle shifts in brain activity captured in these initial days could offer a crucial early signal, potentially sparing patients weeks of ineffective therapy and accelerating treatment outcomes. A machine learning algorithm achieved accuracy of 73 percent in identifying patients who responded to treatment based on early EEG changes.
Tamilnadu Online Gaming Authority to at least 25 firms running online gaming apps for violating the State’s guidelines have had the desired impact with the companies now not allowing players to enter the games after midnight . Among other restrictions are warning pop- ups, cash limits, time restriction options, and the apps not being available from midnight to 5 am. Almost all the apps had been violating these rules until last month, mostly due to cricket games extending till late night because of super overs and rain.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister – D K Shivakumar has informed that out of 211 water logging areas in Bengaluru, works were carried out to remove logging in 166 locations.
He was addressing media persons after inspecting areas that came under flooding during the last Sunday rains. He said that 44 locations will be taken up and the problem of water accumulation will be dealt with. Speaking about the problems in Mahadevapura, which is one of the tech hubs in the city, Shivakumar said that road widening is the only solution and a 150 feet wide road is proposed in the area.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be virtually inaugurating three railway stations across Telangana, including an all-women-operated railway station in Begumpet later this morning.
Begumpet, the first all-women-operated railway station in the South-Central Railway (SCR), besides Karimnagar and Warangal stations, has been re-developed at an estimated cost of 25 crore Rupees each with modern passenger amenities and reflecting the local culture and heritage. Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G.Kishan Reddy said the three Amrit Bharat Stations in Telangana – Begumpet, Warangal and karimnagar – are all set to be dedicated to the public.
The Prime Minister will be virtually inaugurating them along with about 100 other stations across the country.
राजधानी की सड़कों पर आवारा गायों की रोकथाम के लिए दिल्ली सरकार ने कल शहर के गौशालाओं और डेयरी मालिकों के साथ बैठक की। इस अवसर पर दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता और कैबिनेट मंत्री कपिल मिश्रा ने संबंधित विषयों पर उनके साथ चर्चा की। संवाददाताओं से बातचीत में मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने आरोप लगाया कि आम आदमी पार्टी की पूर्व दिल्ली सरकार ने लोगों से झूठे वादे किए जिसके कारण आज सभी डेयरियों की हालत बहुत बुरी है। उन्होंने बताया कि इन लोगों के पास पीने का पानी, गोबर गैस प्लांट और सफाई की कोई व्यवस्था नहीं है। इन मूलभूत सुविधाओं के अभाव के कारण दिल्ली की सड़कों पर आवारा पशु दिखते हैं। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि सरकार समाधान निकालने का पूरा प्रयास करेगी।
ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान देश के सशस्त्र बलों के पराक्रम, बहादुरी और वीरता के सम्मान में दिल्ली सहित पूरे देश में तिरंगा यात्रा का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इसी कड़ी में शहर के तालकटोरा स्टेडियम से कर्तव्य पथ पर कल खालसा तिरंगा यात्रा निकाली गई जिसका नेतृत्व दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने किया। इस यात्रा में लोगों ने बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया। यात्रा में मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता के अलावा, दिल्ली के कैबिनेट मंत्री मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा और आशीष सूद सहित अन्य नेता शामिल हुए। इस अवसर पर श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि यह रैली भारत के वीर जवानों की साहसिक गाथाओं को जन-जन तक पहुंचाने और युवाओं को राष्ट्रसेवा के लिए प्रेरित करने का प्रतीक है। मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने बताया कि यह खालसा तिरंगा यात्रा भी यही संदेश देने के लिए है कि देश के सिख समाज का हर एक व्यक्ति इस मातृभूमि पर मर मिटने के लिए तैयार खड़ा है।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी आज अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना के अंतर्गत देश भर में 103 पुनर्विकसित रेलवे स्टेशनों को राष्ट्र को समर्पित करेंगे। इनमें से चार मुंबई में हैं। रेल मंत्रालय द्वारा दिसंबर 2022 में शुरू की गई अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना का उद्देश्य एक हजार तीन सौ से अधिक स्टेशनों को मल्टीमॉडल एकीकरण और भविष्य के लिए तैयार सुविधाओं के साथ आधुनिक हब में बदलना है। विभिन्न स्टेशनों पर इन कार्यों की आधारशिला अगस्त 2023 और फरवरी 2024 के बीच रखी गई थी।
कोलकाता
अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना के अंतर्गत आज प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी तीन अमृत भारत रेलवे स्टेशनों का उद्घाटन करेंगे। इन स्टेशनों में पूर्वी रेलवे के सियालदह डिवीजन के कल्याणी घोष पारा और पानागढ़ तथा दक्षिण पूर्वी रेलवे के अद्रा डिवीजन के जॉयचंडी पहाड़ शामिल हैं और तैयारियां अंतिम चरण में हैं। लोग उद्घाटन का बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहे हैं। इस योजना के तहत अच्छी तरह से सर्कुलेटिंग एरिया, कॉनकोर्स, दिव्यांगों के लिए सुविधाएं और कई अन्य सुविधाएं शुरू की गई हैं।
राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में सामान्यतः बादल छाए रहेंगे तथा मध्यम वर्षा होने की संभावना है। न्यूनतम तापमान 28 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम 40 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहने का अनुमान है।

तो शगुन इससे पहले कि हम आगे बढे़ और अपने श्रोताओं के ये बतायें कि आज के दिन इतिहास में क्या-क्या हुआ। हम बताना चाहेंगे कि आज (International Day for Biological Diversity) यानि कि विश्व जैव विविधता दिवस या फिर कह लीजिए कि विश्व जैव विविधता संरक्षण दिवस है, जो प्रतिवर्ष सम्पूर्ण विश्व में ’22 मई’ को मनाया जाता है। यह एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय पर्व है। इसे संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने प्रारंभ किया था। जैव विविधता सभी जीवों एवं पारिस्थितिकी तंत्रों की विभिन्नता एवं असमानता को कहा जाता है। 1992 में ब्राज़ील के रियो डि जेनेरियो में हुए जैव विविधता सम्मेलन के अनुसार जैव विविधता की परिभाषा इस प्रकार हैः- “धरातलीय, महासागरीय एवं अन्य जलीय पारिस्थितिकीय तंत्रों में उपस्थित अथवा उससे संबंधित तंत्रों में पाए जाने वाले जीवों के बीच विभिन्नता जैवविविधता है।”

The theme of the 2025 edition is “Harmony with nature and sustainable development”.
The International Day for Biodiversity is celebrated on 22 May annually: to commemorate the adoption of the text of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 22 May 1992 and to provide an opportunity to foster wide support for the implementation of the Convention, its Protocols and related action frameworks.
Biodiversity, the incredible variety of living organisms that inhabit our planet, is the foundation upon which human existence and well-being depend. This concept, first coined by Walter G. Rosen in 1985, encompasses the diversity of all life forms.
However, in recent decades, biodiversity has faced numerous threats, including habitat loss and fragmentation, overexploitation of natural resources, pollution, invasive species, and climate change, which is being driven by human activities and has led to the extinction of many species and the degradation of ecosystems worldwide.
To address this pressing issue and raise awareness about the importance of preserving biodiversity, the United Nations established the International Day for Biological Diversity.

तो पुण्यतिथियों के क्रम में आज सबसे पहला नाम है – गोविन्दराम सेकसरिया का जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Govindram Seksaria, जन्म हुआ था – 19 अक्टूबर, 1888; को और निधन – 22 मई, 1946 को। वे स्वतंत्रता-पूर्व भारत के सबसे सफल व्यवसायियों में से एक थे। उन्हें भारत के कॉटन किंग के नाम से भी जाना जाता था। वे अपने समय के सबसे बड़े उद्योगपति थे। गोविन्दराम सेकसरिया ने 16 साल की उम्र में ही अपने माता-पिता को खो दिया था। उन्होंने अपनी पत्नी, भाइयों- और दो बहनों की पूरी जिम्मेदारी उठाई। कपास बाजार में सफलता प्राप्त करने के बाद गोविन्दराम सेकसरिया ने अपने क्षितिज का विस्तार किया और सर्राफा व अन्य कमोडिटी बाजारों में प्रवेश किया। वह ‘भारतीय स्टॉक एक्सचेंज’ के संस्थापक सदस्यों में से एक थे। इस दुनिया को अलविदा कहने से कुछ समय पहले तक गोविन्दराम सेकसरिया ने खुलकर दान किया। कहा जाता है कि उन्होंने अपने जीवनकाल में लगभग 2 करोड़ रुपये चैरिटी के लिए दान किए थे।

The Sherlock Holmes stories are milestones in the field of crime fiction and he’s most famous it Sherlock Holmes was a very good detective and Conan Doyle’s stories about him were exciting mysterious and full of Adventure Sherlock Holmes solved crimes with the help of his friend Dr Watson Doyle was a prolific writer. In addition to the Holmes stories, his works include fantasy and science fiction stories about Professor Challenger, and humorous stories about the Napoleonic soldier Brigadier Gerard, as well as plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction, and historical novels. One of Doyle’s early short stories, “J. Habakuk Jephson’s Statement” (1884), helped to popularise the mystery of the brigantine Mary Celeste, found drifting at sea with no crew member aboard.
पुण्यतिथियों में अब जिक्र रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी का जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Rewa Prasad Dwivedi, जन्म- हुआ था -22 अगस्त, 1935; को और निधन – 22 मई, 2021 को।) रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी काशी के प्रकांड विद्वान थे। उन्होंने साहित्य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में कई प्रतिमान गढ़े। रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी साहित्यशास्त्र के मूर्धन्य विद्वान थे। वह काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय के संस्कृत विद्या धर्म विज्ञान संकाय के पूर्व संकाय प्रमुख रहे। साहित्यशास्त्र के साहित्य विभाग में विभागाध्यक्ष रहे। उन्होंने अनेकों ग्रंथों की रचना की थी। इसमें तीन महाकाव्य अद्भुत हैं। शताब्दी का सबसे बड़ा महाकाव्य ‘स्वातंत्र्यसंभव’ जो 103 सर्ग का है। पंडित रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी ने संस्कृत भाषा में तीन महाकाव्य, 20 खंडकाव्य और दो नाटकों से ज्यादा कृतियों की रचना की। यही नहीं, नवीन साहित्यशास्त्रनवीन की स्थापना में पंडित रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा। उत्तर प्रदेश संस्कृत संस्थान की ओर से ‘विश्व भारती सम्मान’ से भी सम्मानित हो चुके थे।
Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet and lyricist who is known for his works in Telugu literature and cinema. Veturi is a recipient of the National Film Award, various Nandi Awards, Filmfare Awards, and other state honors. His career in Telugu cinema spanned more than four decades.
और अब जानकारी हिन्दी सिनेमा जगत के प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार रामलक्ष्मण के जोड़ीदार लक्षमण की जो राजश्री प्रोडक्शंस की ब्लॉकबस्टर फ़िल्में- ‘मैंने प्यार किया’, ‘हम आपके हैं कौन’ और ‘हम साथ साथ हैं’ में किये गये अपने काम के लिए विशेषतौर पर जाने जाते हैं। आपका जन्म- 16 सितंबर, 1942; और निधन – 22 मई, 2021 को हुआ था। संगीतकार लक्ष्मण का असली नाम ‘विजय पाटिल’ (Vijay Patil) था। वह संगीतकार जोड़ी राम-लक्ष्मण में से एक लक्ष्मण थे। जबकि उनके जोड़ीदार राम यानी की राम सुरेंद्र थे। राम सुरेंद्र की मृत्यु के बाद विजय पाटिल यानी लक्ष्मण ने अपने नाम के साथ राम भी जोड़ लिया और इस प्रकार वह रामलक्ष्मण के नाम से भी जाने-पहचाने गये। सबसे पहले मराठी फिल्ममेकर और अभिनेता दादा कोंडके ने रामलक्ष्मण को अपनी फिल्म ‘पांडु हवलदार’ के लिए बतौर संगीतकार साइन किया था। इसके बाद सूरज बड़जात्या की फिल्मों में उन्होंने कई हिट गाने दिए। उन्होंने 70 से अधिक फिल्मों में संगीत दिया। हिंदी फिल्मों के अलावा रामलक्ष्मण ने मराठी और भोजपुरी फिल्मों के लिए भी काम किया था। रामलक्ष्मण की मुख्य फिल्मों में ‘मैंने प्यार किया’, ‘पत्थर के फूल’, ‘100 डेज’, ‘प्रेम शक्ति’, ‘मेघा’, ‘तराना’, ‘हम आपके हैं कौन’ और ‘हम साथ साथ हैं’ सहित अन्य हैं। तो आईये फिर सुन लेते हैं उन्हीं के संगीत निर्देशन की एक छोटी सी मधुर मेडली-
जयंतियों में आज सबसे पहला नाम है- महान भारतीय समाज सुधारक और ब्रह्मसभा के संस्थापकों में से एक राजा राममोहन राय का जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Raja Ram Mohan Roy, जन्म: हुआ था 22 मई, 1772; को और इन्होंने इस संसार से विदा ली 27 सितम्बर, 1833 को।) राजा राममोहन राय को ‘आधुनिक भारतीय समाज का जन्मदाता’ भी कहा जाता है। जैसा कि पहले बताया वे ब्रह्म समाज के संस्थापक, भारतीय भाषायी प्रेस के प्रवर्तक, जनजागरण और सामाजिक सुधार आंदोलन के प्रणेता तथा बंगाल में नव-जागरण युग के पितामह थे। धार्मिक और सामाजिक विकास के क्षेत्र में राजा राममोहन राय का नाम सबसे अग्रणी है। राजा राम मोहन राय ने तत्कालीन भारतीय समाज की कट्टरता, रूढ़िवादिता एवं अंध विश्वासों को दूर करके उसे आधुनिक बनाने का प्रयास किया। और हम सब जानते हैं शगुन कि सतीप्रथा का निवारण, भारतीय समाज की कट्टरता, रूढ़िवादिता एवं अंध विश्वासों को दूर करके उसे आधुनिक बनाने का प्रयास किया। यही नहीं, वेदान्त के ऊपर अंग्रेज़ी में लिखकर उन्होंने यूरोप तथा अमेरिका में भी बहुत प्रसिद्धि अर्जित की थी।
Wilhelm Richard Wagner (22 May 1813 – 13 February 1883)
German composer, theatre director, essayist, and conductor who is chiefly known for his operas (or, as some of his mature works were later known, “music dramas”). Unlike most opera composers, Wagner wrote both the libretto and the music for each of his stage works. Initially establishing his reputation as a composer of works in the romantic vein of Carl Maria von Weber and Giacomo Meyerbeer, Wagner revolutionised opera through his concept of the Gesamtkunstwerk (“total work of art”), whereby he sought to synthesise the poetic, visual, musical and dramatic arts, with music subsidiary to drama. The drama was to be presented as a continuously sung narrative, without conventional operatic structures like arias and recitatives. He described this vision in a series of essays published between 1849 and 1852. Wagner realised these ideas most fully in the first half of the 16-hour, four-opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung, also known simply as The Ring).
अब जानकारी हिंदी और रूसी साहित्य के आधुनिक सेतु निर्माताओं में से एक रहे मदन लाल मधु के बारे में जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी:Madan Lal Madhu, जन्म: हुआ 22 मई, 1925 को और निधन 7 जुलाई, 2014 को। मास्को के प्रमुख प्रकाशन-गृह प्रगति एवं रादुगा प्रकाशन में लगभग चार दशकों तक संपादक-अनुवादक के पद पर रहते हुए मदन लाल मधु ने सौ से अधिक क्लासिकी रूसी पुस्तकों, जिनमें पुश्किन, मयाकोस्की, तोल्स्तोय, गोर्की, चेखव, तुर्गनेव आदि कालजयी साहित्य शामिल हैं, का हिंदी अनुवाद भारतीय पाठकों को सुलभ कराया। पद्मश्री, पद्मभूषण, डॉ. मोटूरि सत्यनारायण पुरस्कार आदि सम्मानों से वे सम्मानित थे।
