He said that Operation Sindoor has shown the world that our forces can hit the terrorists inside their bases. “May the blessings of Lord Jagannath remain on PM Modi and he should take on the country’s enemies like a tiger,” he added.
Anibar Chatopadhyay, a resident of Kolkata, said, “There can’t be a more ugly incident than the Pahalgam massacre. They were murdered in cold blood by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists.”“This should have been done earlier. The Indian Army has done the right thing; we have demolished and decimated many terror bases across the border. Modi government rightly gave the go-ahead to the Army to hit them inside Pakistan.” “If they try to spread terror again, PM Modi has already stated that severe action will be taken. Next time, there won’t be any person to shout Pakistan Zindabad,” he remarked.
A Delhi-based resident said that the Modi government is taking the fight against terror in the right direction. There can’t be any other substitute than hitting terror bases in their dens. “Forces are in high spirits after Operation Sindoor. If Pakistan tries to create disturbance again, a similar treatment should be given,” he asserted. Aditya Kumar from Rajasthan said that the Modi government’s policy of going after terrorists inside the neighbouring country is a good step.
“Our whole family, including our children are happy over stern action against Pak-based terrorists,” he said. He said that India is a powerful country and the Operation Sindoor is a right tribute to the victims of Pahalgam brutality.

Indian defence stocks surged up to nine per cent in yesterday’s trade session after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s push for ‘Made in India’ defence equipments during his first address to the Nation after Operation Sindoor on Monday.
The share price of Bharat Dynamics surged the highest among the defence stocks, jumping 9.4 per cent to 1,718 rupees on the National Stock Exchange. Hindustan Aeronautics share price gained 4.6 per cent.
On the other hand, in comparison to the stellar run by Indian defence shares over the past few sessions, Chinese defence stocks plunged over 9 per cent yesterday.

प्रतिष्ठित कान फिल्म महोत्सव की कल फ्रेंच रिवेरा में भव्य शुरूआत हुई। 12 दिन के 78वें कान फिल्म समारोह में विश्व के प्रसिद्ध फिल्म निर्माता, सितारे और सिनेप्रेमियों को साथ आने का अवसर मिलेगा।
उद्घाटन समारोह में नामी अमरीकी अभिनेता, निर्माता और निर्देशक रॉबर्ट डी नीरो को मानद पाम डी’ओर सम्मान दिया गया। फिल्म टैक्सी ड्राइवर के इस महोत्सव का शीर्ष पुरस्कार जीतने के 49 साल बाद डी नीरो को यह सम्मान मिला है। जाने-माने अभिनेता लियोनार्डो डिकैप्रियो ने उन्हें यह सम्मान प्रदान किया। अपने संबोधन में डी नीरो ने विदेशी फिल्मों पर 100 प्रतिशत टैरिफ लगाने के अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के प्रस्ताव की आलोचना की।

The Bureau of Indian standards organised a two day residential program for BIS empanelled resource personnel on transaction of lesson plans under learning science via standards in Chennai. The BIS had already launched learning science via standards, a unique initiative for students for learning science via standards. This initiative focuses on a series of lesson plans aimed to use scientific concepts, principles and laws to help students understand their practical applications in manufacturing , functioning and testing of quality characteristics of different products as stated in the relevant Indian standards. The subjects for the lesson plans are largely related to products used in everyday life and have been chosen based on their relevance to education as part of the course curriculum as well as to industrial applications. The lesson plans would also serve as a means for the students of schools and colleges to appreciate the significance of quality and standards and empower them to boldly face the real life situations in any of their future endeavours. The two day residential training program with around 100 resource persons from eight branch offices will have lesson plans on pasteurised milk, domestic gas stove, helmet, football, pressure cooker, tyre, geo textiles and milk powder developed under the learning science via standards initiative. These eight lesson plans will be discussed in detail including various activities and quizzes for the resource persons.

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao has instructed officials to clear encroachment of footpaths in Bengaluru. He issued the instructions after inspecting the pathways between Bommanahalli metro station to Hongasandra metro station in the city. He expressed displeasure at shops and vendors occupying footpaths. He asked the officials to act against such elements and impose fines. Maheshwar Rao also pointed at water logging on pathways and asked the municipal workers to clear them and prevent water puddles where mosquitoes lay larvae. He said that grass and weeds growing on footpaths should be cleared immediately and cleaned of dirt and dust. On roads too, he directed the officials to prevent water logging. He further added that trees should not be bound by cement and concrete and water should be allowed to percolate into the ground. At Vijayalakshmi Timbers he issued directions to clear unauthorised posters and handbills pasted on walls and transformers. He also ordered to issue notices to those responsible for parking JCB and other vehicles on the wrong side of the road obstructing pedestrian movement.

Miss World contestants from over hundred countries visited the historic Charminar in Hyderabad last evening and took a heritage walk through Laad Bazaar. Some contestants danced to the traditional Arabic Marfa beats that welcomed them. After a short photo session, they went inside the Charminar, where tour guides explained to them about its history and importance. Later, the contestants walked through the Lad Bazaar, stopping to shop for bangles, pearls, and handmade jewellery. A few contestants watched how the bangles were made and praised the local artisans.
Amidst high security arrangements, the Laad Bazaar was decorated with colourful lanterns. The contestants then went to the Chowmahalla Palace where they were welcomed with a show of culture of the Old City. The contestants watched a video about Charminar, the palace, and other historic places in Hyderabad. They also visited a photo exhibition and saw items used by the royal family. A grand dinner was hosted at the palace. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with his family, and ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Ponnam Prabhakar joined the dinner with the contestants along with senior officials and celebrities.

दिल्ली पुलिस के मादक पदार्थ निरोधी दस्ते ने नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के अंतर्गत दो आरोपियों को करीब 28 किलोग्राम गांजे के साथ गिरफ्तार किया। पुलिस ने बताया कि आरोपी हाल ही में इस कारोबार में शामिल हुए थे और दिल्ली में अपना नेटवर्क फैलाने की कोशिश कर रहे थे। पुलिस ने बताया आरोपियों के खिलाफ एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। मामले की जांच जारी है।

Sambhaji (Sambhajiraje Shivajiraje Bhonsle, Marathi pronunciation: 14 May 1657 – 11 March 1689), also known as Shambhuraje, ruled from 1681 to 1689 as the second king (Chhatrapati) of the Maratha Empire, a prominent state in early modern India. He was the eldest son of Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Empire.At the age of nine, Sambhaji was taken as a political hostage of the Mughal Empire, to guarantee his father’s compliance with the treaty of Purandar. He later accompanied his father to Agra where both were placed under house arrest by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb; they subsequently escaped. He was later confined by his father at Panhala Fort, with some theories suggesting that it was due to his addiction to “sensual pleasures” or for violating a Brahmin woman. He subsequently defected to the Mughal Empire and served under Diler Khan in the Battle of Bhupalgarh against his father. He ascended the throne following his father’s death, with his rule being largely shaped by the ongoing wars between the Marathas and the Mughal Empire, as well as other neighbouring powers such as the Siddi of Janjira, the Wadiyars of Mysore and the Portuguese Empire in Goa. As a ruler, Sambhaji implemented drought relief measures and encouraged agricultural development while continuing his father’s administrative systems. He was also a scholar who authored several works in Sanskrit and Hindustani, including the political treatise Budhbhushanam. His torture and death at the hands of the Mughal Empire elevated him to the status of a martyr. He remains popular in modern India among many Hindu nationalists.
मृणाल सेन (अंग्रेज़ी:Mrinal Sen, जन्म: 14 मई, 1923[1]मृत्यु:30 दिसम्बर 2018, कोलकाता ) भारतीय फ़िल्मों के प्रसिद्ध निर्माता व निर्देशक हैं। इनकी अधिकतर फ़िल्में बांग्ला भाषा में हैं। बंगाली, उड़िया, तेलुगु और हिंदी फ़िल्मों में समान रूप से सक्रिय रहे मृणाल सेन भारत में समानांतार सिनेमा आंदोलन के अग्रणी माने जाते हैं।
बंगाली फ़िल्मों की तरह ही मृणाल सेन हिन्दी फ़िल्मों में भी समान रूप से सक्रिय दिखते हैं। इनकी पहली हिन्दी फ़िल्म 1969 की कम बजट वाली फ़िल्म ‘भुवन शोम’ थी। फ़िल्म एक अडियल रईसजादे की पिछड़ी हुई ग्रामीण महिला द्वारा सुधार की हास्य-कथा है। साथ ही, यह फ़िल्म वर्ग-संघर्ष और सामाजिक बाधाओं की कहानी भी प्रस्तुत करती है। फ़िल्म की संकीर्णता से परे नये स्टाइल का दृश्य चयन और संपादन भारत में समानांतर सिनेमा के उद्भव पर गहरा प्रभाव छोड़ता है।मृणाल सेन को भारत सरकार द्वारा 1981 में कला के क्षेत्र में ‘पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया गया था। इसके अतिरिक्त 2005 में ‘दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किया।
Mrinal Sen :14 May 1923 – 30 December 2018) was a Bengali film director and screenwriter known for his work primarily in Bengali, and a few Hindi and Telugu language films. Regarded as one of the finest Indian filmmakers, along with his contemporaries Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, and Tapan Sinha, Sen played a major role in India’s parallel cinema movement, which offered a realistic, socially aware counterpoint to splashy Bollywood films, as well as in the country’s New Wave cinema. He also served as the President of FTII from 1984 to 1986.Sen received various national and international honors including eighteen Indian National Film Awards. The Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan, and the Government of France honored him with the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, while Russian Government honored him with the Order of Friendship. Sen was also awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest award for filmmakers in India. He was one of the few Indian filmmakers to have won awards at the big three film festivals viz., Cannes, Venice and the Berlinale. जगदीशचन्द्र माथुर (अंग्रेज़ी: Jagdish Chandra Mathur, जन्म: 16 जुलाई, 1917; मृत्यु: 14 मई, 1978) हिन्दी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकारों में से एक थे, जिन्होंने आकाशवाणी में काम करते हुए हिन्दी की लोकप्रियता के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान किया। टेलीविज़न उन्हीं के जमाने में वर्ष 1949 में शुरू हुआ था। हिन्दी और भारतीय भाषाओं के तमाम बड़े लेखकों को वे ही रेडियो में लेकर आए थे। सुमित्रानंदन पंत से लेकर रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ और बालकृष्ण शर्मा ‘नवीन’ जैसे दिग्गज साहित्यकारों के साथ उन्होंने हिंदी के माध्यम से सांस्कृतिक पुनर्जागरण का सूचना संचार तंत्र विकसित और स्थापित किया था। 1930 ई. में तीन छोटे नाटकों के माध्यम से वे अपनी सृजनशीलता की धारा के प्रति उन्मुख हुए। प्रयाग में उनके नाटक ‘चाँद’, ‘रुपाभ’ पत्रिकाओं में न केवल छपे ही, बल्कि इन्होंने ‘वीर अभिमन्यु’, आदि नाटकों में भाग लिया। ‘भोर का तारा’ में संग्रहीत सारी रचनाएँ प्रयाग में ही लिखी गईं। यह नाम प्रतीक रूप में शिल्प और संवेदना दोनों दृष्टियों से जगदीशचन्द्र माथुर के रचनात्मक व्यक्तित्व के ‘भोर का तारा’ ही है। इसके बाद की रचनाओं में समकालीनता और परंपरा के प्रति गहराई क्रमशः बढ़ती गई है। व्यक्तियों, घटनाओं और देशके विभिन्न ऐतिहासिक स्थलों से प्राप्त अनुभवों ने सृजन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका अदा की भारत में टेलीविज़न शुरू होने जा रहा था। माथुर साहब ने ही टीवी का नाम दूरदर्शन रखा था।
Otto Nossan Klemperer (German-14 May 1885 – 6 July 1973) was a German conductor and composer, originally based in Germany, and then the United States, Hungary and finally, Great Britain. He began his career as an opera conductor, but he was later better known as a conductor of symphonic music.A protégé of the composer and conductor Gustav Mahler, from 1907 Klemperer was appointed to a succession of increasingly senior conductorships in opera houses in and around Germany. Between 1929 and 1931 he was director of the Kroll Opera in Berlin, where he presented new works and avant-garde productions of classics. He was from a Jewish family, and the rise of the Nazis caused him to leave Germany in 1933. Shortly afterwards he was appointed chief conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and guest-conducted other American orchestras, including the San Francisco Symphony, the New York Philharmonic and later the Pittsburgh Symphony, which he reorganised as a permanent ensemble.. He served as the musical director of the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest from 1947 to 1950.
आचार्य रघुवीर (अंग्रेज़ी: Aacharya Raghuveer, जन्म- 30 दिसम्बर, 1902; मृत्यु- 14 मई, 1963) महान भाषाविद, प्रख्यात विद्वान्, राजनीतिक नेता तथा भारतीय धरोहर के मनीषी थे। वह महान् कोशकार, शब्दशास्त्री तथा भारतीय संस्कृति के उन्नायक थे। एक ओर आचार्य रघुवीर ने कोशों की रचना कर राष्ट्रभाषा हिंदी का शब्द भण्डार संपन्न किया, तो दूसरी ओर विश्व में विशेषतः एशिया में फैली हुई भारतीय संस्कृति की खोज कर उसका संग्रह एवं संरक्षण किया। आधुनिक युग में कुछ नाम ऐसे हैं, जिन्हें बड़ी निमर्मता से भुला दिया गया है। इन नामों में वैद्य गुरुदत्त (1894-1989), आचार्य रघुवीर (1902-1963), पं. सूर्यनारायण व्यास (1902-1976) और डॉ. हरवंशलाल ओबराय (1925-1983) का नाम प्रमुखता से लिया जा सकता है।
