प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कहा है कि ऑपरेशन सिंदूर को अभी अस्थायी रूप से स्थगित किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि आने वाले दिनों में हम पाकिस्तान के हर कदम को इस कसौटी पर मापेंगे कि आतंकवाद को लेकर वह क्या रवैया अपनाता है। राष्ट्र को संबोधित करते हुए कल प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि ऑपरेशन सिंदूर शुरू होने के बाद पहले तीन दिनों में ही पाकिस्तान में उसकी उम्मीदों से कहीं अधिक बर्बादी हुई है। भारत की इस आक्रामक कार्रवाई के बाद पाकिस्तान तनाव कम करने के रास्ते खोजने लगा और बढ़ते तनाव से राहत पाने के लिए दुनिया भर से गुहार लगा रहा था। प्रधानमंत्री ने बताया कि भारी नुकसान उठाने के बाद 10 मई को पाकिस्तानी सेना ने हमारे सैन्य अभियान महानिदेशक-डीजीएमओ से संपर्क किया। श्री मोदी ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान ने यह आश्वासन दिया की वह भारत के खिलाफ कोई भी आतंकी गतिविधि और सैन्य दुस्साहस नहीं दिखायेगा। इसके बाद भारत ने स्थिति की समीक्षा की और पाकिस्तान के आतंकवादी और सैन्य प्रतिष्ठानों के खिलाफ अपने जवाबी अभियान को अस्थायी रूप से निलंबित करने का निर्णय लिया। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि ऑपरेशन सिंदूर सिर्फ एक नाम नहीं है ये देश के करोड़ों लोगों की भावनाओं का प्रतिबिंब है।
श्री मोदी ने अपने संबोधन में भारत के तीन प्रमुख सुरक्षा स्तंभों का उल्लेख किया जिसमें पहला स्तंभ निर्णायक प्रतिशोध है। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर भारत पर आतंकी हमला हुआ तो उसका मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया जाएगा। दूसरा है भारत कोई भी न्यूक्लियर ब्लैकमेल नहीं सहेगा। तीसरा स्तंभ है कि भारत आतंकवाद के प्रायोजकों और आतंकवादियों के बीच कोई अंतर नहीं करेगा।
श्री मोदी ने कहा कि ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान दुनिया ने पाकिस्तान का घिनौना सच फिर से तब देखा जब मारे गए आतंकवादियों को विदाई देने पाकिस्तानी सेना के बड़े-बड़े अफसर उमड़ पड़े।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि आतंकवाद के सभी रूपों के खिलाफ लड़ाई में एकता भारत की सबसे बड़ी ताकत है। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि आतंकवाद के खिलाफ जीरो टॉलरेंस एक बेहतर और सुरक्षित दुनिया की गारंटी है।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि अगर पाकिस्तान को अपना अस्तित्व बचाना है, तो उसे अपने आतंकी ढांचे को खत्म करना होगा क्योंकि शांति का कोई दूसरा विकल्प नहीं है। उन्होंने भारत के दृढ़ रुख की पुष्टि करते हुए कहा कि आतंक और बातचीत एक साथ नहीं हो सकती, आतंक और व्यापार साथ-साथ नहीं चल सकता और खून और पानी एक साथ नहीं बह सकते।

श्री मोदी ने दुनिया को यह भी संदेश दिया कि पाकिस्तान के साथ कोई भी चर्चा केवल आतंकवाद पर केंद्रित होगी और अगर पाकिस्तान से बात होगी तो बातचीत पाकिस्तान के कब्जे वाले कश्मीर -पीओके पर केंद्रित होगी।
प्रधानमंत्री ने सशस्त्र बलों, सेना, खुफिया एजेंसियों और वैज्ञानिकों को सलाम किया। उन्होंने ऑपरेशन के दौरान सशस्त्र बलों की वीरता, शौर्य और साहस को देश की प्रत्येक माता, बहन और बेटी को समर्पित किया।
श्री मोदी ने कहा कि आतंकवादियों को मिट्टी में मिलाने के लिए भारत की सेनाओं को पूरी छूट दे दी गई है और आज हर आतंकी, आतंक का हर गुट जान चुका है कि हमारी बहनों-बेटियों की गरिमा और सम्मान को नुकसान पहुंचाने का अंजाम क्या होगा।

Indian Army said in a statement that issues related to continuing the commitment that both sides must not fire a single shot or initiate any aggressive and inimical action against each other were discussed. It was also agreed that both sides consider immediate measures to ensure troop reduction from the borders and forward areas.

Briefing media in New Delhi yesterday on Operation Sindoor, Air Marshal Bharti gave details about how Indian Forces minimised damage to both civilian and military infrastructure of the country during Operation Sindoor.
Speaking about the results achieved in countering the enemy threat over the last week, Air Marshal Bharti said Pakistan’s PL-15 missile of Chinese origin missed target and loiter munitions and unmanned aerial systems were brought down.

The BCCI has announced that the Indian Premier League 2025 will resume on 17th of this month, after a week-long pause due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan. It was suspended on May 9, after India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The first match will be played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 17 following resumption of the IPL.
The final of the IPL will now be played on June 3, with the playoffs to be played from May 29 onwards.

The African Indian Economic Foundation has come forward with the proposal to set up a Knowledge and Technology Institute in Namibia in partnership with the Government Tools and Training Centre, which is a State Government enterprise. Medical Education and Skills Development minister in Karnataka Dr Sharan Prakash Patil had held a meeting with the delegates from Namibia on this issue. The Government Tools and Training Centre is a premier skilling centre in Bengaluru that trains apprentices in equipment manufacturing and production techniques. It offers training in mechatronics and robotics too. It has over 20 branches across the state. It has already trained over five lakh skilled manpower.
