पाकिस्तान के साथ लगी नियंत्रण रेखा और अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा पर स्थित बारामूला से भुज तक करीब 26 स्थानों पर ड्रोन नजर आए हैं। इनमें वे ड्रोन भी शामिल हैं जो, रिहायशी और सैनिक ठिकानों के लिए खतरा बन सकते थे। रक्षा सूत्रों के अनुसार, इन स्थानों में बारामूला, श्रीनगर, अवंतीपुरा, नगरोटा, जम्मू, फिरोजपुर, पठानकोट, फाजिल्का, लालगढ़ जट्टा, जैसलमेर, बाड़मेर, भुज, कुआरबेट और लखी नाला शामिल हैं।
भारतीय सशस्त्र बल अलर्ट पर हैं और ड्रोन खतरों का ड्रोन राधी प्रणाली का इस्तेमाल करके मुकाबला किया जा रहा है। स्थिति पर कड़ी नजर रखी जा रही है और जहां-जहां आवश्यक है वहां-वहां तुरन्त कार्रवाई की जा रही है। सीमा क्षेत्र में रहने वाले लोगों को घरों में रहने, अनावश्यक रूप से बाहर न निकलने और कड़े सुरक्षा मानकों का पालन करने की सलाह दी गई है। निर्देशों में कहा गया है कि परेशान होने की जरूरत नहीं है, केवल सजग और चौकस रहने की आवश्यकता है।
हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया है कि हथियारों से लैस ड्रोन के माध्यम से फिरोजपुर, अमृतसर और पठानकोट सहित पंजाब के सीमावर्ती जिलों में हमला करने की कोशिश की गई है, लेकिन भारतीय सुरक्षा बलों ने सफलतापूर्वक इन प्रयासों को नाकाम कर दिया। हालांकि फिरोजपुर में ड्रोन से एक मकान को नुकसान पहुंचा है और तीन लोग घायल हुए हैं। इन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती करा दिया गया है और उनके सुरक्षित होने की ख़बर है। फिरोजपुर पुलिस प्रमुख भूपेन्द्र सिंह सिद्धु ने बताया है कि यह ड्रोन से प्रभावित मात्र एक घटना है और सेना ने ज्यादातर ड्रोन हमलों को निष्क्रिय कर दिया है।

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced the temporary closure of 32 airports across northern and western India for all civil flight operations till the 15th of this month. The affected airports include major locations such as Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Jaisalmer, Pathankot and others. Additionally, 25 segments of Air Traffic Service (ATS) routes within the Delhi and Mumbai Flight Information Regions will also be closed during this period. Airlines have been advised to plan alternate routings to minimize disruptions. The temporary closure is due to operational reasons and will be managed in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure safety.

पाकिस्तान ने बृहस्पतिवार की रात को लगभग चार सौ ड्रोन का इस्तेमाल कर लेह से लेकर सरक्रीक तक 36 स्थानों पर घुसपैठ की कोशिश की। भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों ने काइनेटिक और नॉन-काइनेटिक तरीकों का इस्तेमाल कर इनमें से कई ड्रोन को मार गिराया। नई दिल्ली में एक विशेष ब्रीफिंग में भारतीय सेना की कर्नल सोफिया कुरैशी ने कहा कि पाकिस्तानी सेना ने सैन्य ढांचे को निशाना बनाने के इरादे से पश्चिमी सीमा पर कई बार भारतीय हवाई क्षेत्र का उल्लंघन किया। उन्होंने कहा कि इतना ही नहीं, पाकिस्तान ने नियंत्रण रेखा पर भारी क्षमता के हथियार भी दागे।
विंग कमांडर व्योमिका सिंह ने बताया कि पाकिस्तानी हमले के जवाब में, भारत ने हथियारों से लैस ड्रोन से पाकिस्तान के चार हवाई रक्षा ठिकानों पर हमला किया गया और इनमें से एक ड्रोन ने पाकिस्तान के एडी रडार को नष्ट कर दिया।

Punjab Cabinet has decided to purchase nine anti-drone systems, which will be deployed in six border districts of the state in coordination with the Border Security Force to keep a vigil on narco-terrorism. Briefing the media after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Punjab government has decided to include terror victims and war-injured civilians in its ‘Farishtey Scheme’, under which free-of-cost treatment will be provided at any hospital. The Cabinet meeting was convened to take stock of the present situation and review readiness in all areas, including ration stock availability. Another decision taken was that ministers will visit border areas to ensure that there is enough supply of essential goods.

In a major step towards expanding bilateral trade and investment engagement, the first round of negotiations for the India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) concluded successfully in New Delhi yesterday. Commerce and Industry Ministry said, the first round followed a series of virtual discussions held between both partners which laid the groundwork for the in-person meeting. The Ministry said, constructive negotiations were held across all areas of FTA including Trade in Goods and Services, Trade Facilitation and mutually beneficial sectors of economic co-operation. This engagement highlights the strategic importance both partners attach to building a mutually beneficial, balanced and a fair trade agreement.

The Karnataka Government has stepped up security at reservoirs and power stations in the context of heightened tensions along the border with Pakistan. Karnataka Power Corporation Limited that manages power generating stations has issued an official directive to secure sensitive installations under its jurisdiction. All the hydro, thermal, wind, solar, gas and waste to energy generating sources are managed and regulated by the state Power Corporation. It is now mandated to deploy additional manpower at all the reservoirs and power stations along with the state police personnel. It has imposed restrictions on public access to its reservoirs and powerhouses, including educational visits by the engineering students and dignitaries. The surveillance of the facilities and critical infrastructure sites is enhanced. The Corporation has started implementing all the Central Government directions issued in respect to securing the facilities.

Amid escalating tensions along the Line of Control, the stage is set for the grand inaugural event of the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant in Hyderabad this evening. The opening ceremony will take place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. The event marks the beginning of a three-week jamboree that promises to blend glamour, culture, and social purpose across Telangana.
Our correspondent says that this is for the first time in Miss World’s 73-year history that a country hosts the pageant for two consecutive years, following the 71st edition held in Mumbai in March last year.
Miss World limited CEO Julia Morley announced the decision to host the pageant in Telangana in February this year and said it’s about empowering communities, celebrating diversity, and making a lasting impact through commitment to beauty with a purpose.

In Telangana, 38 members of the banned CPI (Maoists), including 8 women and 2 minors, surrendered before the Superintendent of Police of Bhadradri Kothagudem district yesterday. All of them hail from the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. They include 2 party members, 16 militia members, seven village committee members , six Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan members, three Chetana Natya Manch members and four Grama Rakshaka Dalam members. It may be known that the number of Maoists who surrendered in the district since January this year has gone up to 265.
Superintendent of Police Rohith Raju said that for some time now the Maoists had lost support from adivasis as they were thwarting the development of tribal areas. He said this had made adivasis distance themselves from the Maoists and their outdated ideologies.
He said all rehabilitation benefits offered by the State government will be extended to them.

कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन ऑफ़ ऑल इंडिया ट्रेडर्स – कैट के राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री और दिल्ली के चांदनी चौक से सांसद प्रवीन खंडेलवाल ने कहा है कि देश में खाद्यान्न और आवश्यक वस्तुओं की कोई कमी नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि बाजारों में भरपूर मात्रा में सभी वस्तुएँ उपलब्ध हैं और सरकार के पास भी पर्याप्त भंडार हैं। श्री खंडेलवाल ने कहा कि किसी भी नागरिक को आवश्यकता से अधिक खाद्यान्न और आवश्यक वस्तुओं को स्टॉक करने की जरूरत नहीं है।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार नशा मुक्त भारत के लिए कदम उठा रही है। सभी जिलों में सघन अभियान चलाया जाएगा और स्वयंसेवकों को लगाया जाएगा। हर जिले में पचास लोगों की भर्ती की जाएगी और उन्हें प्रशिक्षित किया जाएगा। वे लोगों के पास जाएंगे और उन्हें नशीले पदार्थों के बुरे प्रभावों के बारे में बताएंगे।

जाति प्रथा की समस्या के ख़िलाफ़ संदेश देने वाली फ़िल्म ‘डाक्टर’ में पंकज मलिक ने कई गाने खुद गाए थे, जो काफ़ी हिट हुए। पंकज मलिक की अपनी विशिष्ट गायन शैली थी, जिसकी बदौलत उन्होंने हज़ारों लोगों को अपना प्रशंसक बनाया। उन्हें हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के सर्वोच्च सम्मान ‘दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार’ से भी नवाजा गया। आईये सुनते हैं उनकी आवाज़ में खुबसूरत सा नगमा
Tarachand Barjatya (10 May 1914 – 21 September 1992)
Film producer. He has produced many Hindi films from the 1960s through to the 1980s. He founded Rajshri Productions which continues to produce films even today. His mainstay was family-oriented films based on family values.
कैफ़ी आज़मी उर्दू के प्रसिद्ध प्रगतिवादी शायर और गीतकार हैं। उनका असल नाम सैयद अतहर हुसैन रिज़वी था। कैफ़ी तख़ल्लुस करते थे। । कैफ़ी का ख़ानदान एक ज़मींदार ख़ुशहाल ख़ानदान था। घर में शिक्षा और साहित्य और शे’र-ओ-शायरी का माहौल था। ऐसे माहौल में जब उन्होंने आंखें खोलीं तो आरम्भ से ही उन्हें शे’र-ओ-अदब से दिलचस्पी हो गयी। अपने समय के रिवाज के अनुसार अरबी फ़ारसी की शिक्षा प्राप्त की और शे’र कहने लगे। उन्होंने गानों के अलावा कहानी, संवाद और स्क्रिप्ट भी लिखे। ‘काग़ज़ के फूल’, ‘गर्म हवा’, ‘हक़ीक़त’, ‘हीर राँझा’, जैसी फ़िल्मों के नाम आज भी कैफ़ी के नाम के साथ लिये जाते हैं। फ़िल्मी दुनिया में कैफ़ी को बहुत से सम्मानों से भी नवाज़ा गया। आईये सुनते हैं फिल्म अर्थ से ये प्यारा सा गीत जिसे कैफी आजमी ने लिखा है और जगजीत सिंह ने आवाज़ दी है ।
सज्जाद ज़हीर ने कैफ़ी के पहले ही संग्रह की शायरी के बारे में लिखा था, “आधुनकि उर्दू शायरी के बाग़ में नया फूल खिला है। एक सुर्ख़ फूल।” उस वक़्त तक कैफ़ी प्रगतिशील आंदोलन से सम्बद्ध नहीं हुए थे, लेकिन उनकी शायरी आरम्भ ही से प्रगतिवादी विचार धारा और सोच को आम करने में लगी थी।
Kollagunta Gopalaiyer Ramanathan (13 November 1920 – 10 May 1992)
Mathematician known for his work in number theory. His contributions are to the general development of mathematical research,and teaching in India.
Prof. K.G Ramanathan was a legendary Mathematician, working in Number Theory and a prolific Institution builder. Apart from this, he was an excellent teacher and influenced several brilliant students.

मैक मोहन (अंग्रेज़ी: Mac Mohan, जन्म- 24 अप्रॅल, 1938; मृत्यु- 10 मई, 2010) हिन्दी सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता थे। वह मुख्य रूप से खलनायक के किरदार निभाने के लिये जाने जाते थे। मैक मोहन प्रसिद्ध भारतीय अभिनेत्री रवीना टंडन के मामा थे। मैक मोहन का असली नाम ‘मोहन माखीजानी’ था। वह बचपन में अभिनेता नहीं बल्कि क्रिकेटर बनना चाहते थे। उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश की क्रिकेट टीम के लिए कई मैच भी खेले थे। फ़िल्म ‘शोले’ में निभाये गए ‘सांबा’ के किरदार ने मैक मोहन को घर-घर में पहचान दिला दी थी।

Born Mohan Makijany, Mac Mohan carved a niche for himself playing memorable villainous roles throughout the 70s and 80s. His filmography boasts over 200 films, including classics like Don, Karz, Satte Pe Satta, Zanjeer, and the unforgettable Sholay, where his character “Sambha” became synonymous with villainy.
Mac Mohan’s journey began as an assistant director under Chetan Anand, eventually transitioning to acting with his debut in Haqeeqat (1964). His career spanned diverse regional languages like Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Sindhi, showcasing his versatility. He even delivered dialogues in English, Russian, and Spanish films, solidifying his talent beyond Hindi cinema.
John Wesley Hyatt (November 28, 1837 – May 10, 1920) inventor. He is mainly known for simplifying the production of celluloid.
Celluloids are a class of materials produced by mixing nitrocellulose and camphor, often with added dyes and other agents. Once much more common for its use as photographic film before the advent of safer methods, celluloid’s common present-day uses are for manufacturing table tennis balls, musical instruments and guitar picks.
Hyatt began seeking an alternative to ivory as a material for billiard balls. He began researching and experimenting with a variety of materials, such as nitrocellulose and camphor, in the late 1860s. In 1869, Hyatt was finally able to produce a plastic material he called celluloid.
शिवकुमार शर्मा (अंग्रेज़ी: Shivkumar Sharma, जन्म- 13 जनवरी, 1938; मृत्यु- 10 मई, 2022) भारत के प्रसिद्ध संतूर वादक थे। आज संतूर की लोकप्रियता का सर्वाधिक श्रेय शिवकुमार शर्मा को ही जाता है। उन्होंने संतूर को भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत के अनुकूल बनाने के लिये इसमें कुछ परिवर्तन भी किये थे। शिवकुमार शर्मा ने अपने पिता उमादत्त शर्मा से शिक्षा प्राप्त करके सन्तूर वादन की ‘तकनीक और टोन‘ को उन्नत बनाया और अपने चिन्तन तथा प्रयोगों से इस कश्मीरी लोक वाद्य को व्यापकता प्रदान की थी, जिससे यह शास्त्रीय संगीत रागदारी की सर्वांगीण प्रस्तुति में पूर्णत: सक्षम वाद्य बन गया। शिवकुमार शर्मा जी को ध्रुपद, ख्याल तथा ठुमरी आदि की शिक्षा भी मिली थी।
