भारत ने जम्मू-कश्मीर में पाकिस्तान के एक बडे़ हमले को असफल कर दिया। पाकिस्तान ने जम्मू-कश्मीर के सतवारी, सांबा, आरएस पुरा और अरनिया पर आठ मिसाइलें दागीं। रक्षा सूत्रों ने बताया कि सभी मिसाइल हमलों को एयर डिफेंस यूनिट्स से नाकाम कर दिया गया है। जम्मू के ऊपर के दृश्य इस्राइल पर हमास के हमले की याद दिलाते हैं। पाकिस्तानी सेना आतंकी गुट हमास की तरह काम और व्यवहार कर रही है। पाकिस्तानी खुफिया एजेंसी आईएसआई और हमास की पिछले महीने पाकिस्तानी कब्जे वाले कश्मीर में मुलाकात हुई थी।
रक्षा सूत्रों ने कहा कि पश्चिमी सीमा पर कई स्थानों पर शत्रु के हमलावर ड्रोन देखे गए। भारतीय वायु रक्षा प्रणालियों से इन्हें नष्ट कर दिया गया।
इस बीच कल रात लगभग 11 बजे सीमा सुरक्षा बल ने जम्मू-कश्मीर के सांबा जिले में अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा पर घुसपैठ की बड़ी साजिश नाकाम कर दी।

The deal includes reduced import taxes on select British cars and tariff-free imports of some steel and aluminium, though a 10% tariff on most UK goods remains in place.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer joined Trump via phone for the announcement, with President Trump later confirming that other leaders would sign similar deals in the Oval Office. During the joint video link, the British PM called the deal ‘fantastic’ and ‘historic,’ highlighting its protection for UK carmakers and steel manufacturers.

Civil defence mock drill was conducted at Ennore Port yesterday. The drill will be conducted at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, Kudankulam, Tirunelveli District and North Chennai Thermal Power Station, Unit -2, Athipattu today at 4 pm. During this mock drill, activities will be undertaken in these two vital installations to check the preparedness of the systems to handle any kind of emergency.
The State Emergency Operation Centre in the State has been activated and will co-ordinate the exercise. The State Government in a statement said that all other functions in other places will go on normally and there is no need for any panic or apprehension among the public about this exercise.

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में हुई कैबिनेट बैठक में सरकार ने वायु प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए क्लाउड-सीडिंग ट्रायल्स को मंज़ूरी दे दी है। दिल्ली सरकार के पर्यावरण मंत्रालय के अनुसार इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य राजधानी में बढ़ते वायु प्रदूषण और कम बारिश से प्रभावी ढंग से निपटना है। एक रिपोर्ट
क्लाउड-सीडिंग एक वैज्ञानिक प्रक्रिया है, जिसमें सिल्वर आयोडाइड जैसे तत्वों को बादलों में डाला जाता है ताकि बारिश की संभावना बढ़ाई जा सके। दिल्ली कैबिनेट ने वायु प्रदूषण के खिलाफ एक बड़ा कदम उठाते हुए इस परियोजना को मंज़ूरी दी है। इस प्रोजेक्ट की लागत लगभग तीन करोड़ 21 लाख रूपए होगी। दिल्ली सरकार में पर्यावरण मंत्री मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने बताया कि इस प्रोजेक्ट को आईआईटी कानपुर के दिशा निर्देश में संचालित किया जाएगा, जो पूरे प्रोजेक्ट की योजना, एयरक्राफ्ट की तैनाती, कैमिकल के छिड़काव, वैज्ञानिक मॉडलिंग और ट्रायल्स की निगरानी करेगा। श्री सिरसा ने बताया कि प्रोजेक्ट के संचालन से पहले सरकार को 13 अहम विभागों और एजेंसियों से अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र लेने होंगे। ये ट्रायल इस महीने के अंत या अगले महीने में शुरू हो सकता है, जो लगभग 100 वर्ग किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में की जाएगी। इस चरण में कुल पाँच ट्रायल्स प्रस्तावित हैं। ट्रायल के बाद वैज्ञानिक रूप से इसका मूल्यांकन किया जाएगा कि क्लाउड-सीडिंग वायु गुणवत्ता और वर्षा पर कितना प्रभाव डालती है। सकलेन अख्तर, आकाशवाणी समाचार, नई दिल्ली।

The Railway Protection Force of South Western Railway’s Bengaluru Division has initiated heightened security measures at all the major railway stations across its Division along with the railway police. This has enhanced the preparedness and response mechanisms against potential threats and emergencies. The checking and surveillance at entry and exit points at the railway stations are intensified. The Quick Reaction Teams are deployed and patrolling in and around station premises have increased with regular flag marches. Handheld and stationary scanners are checking and screening random baggage. The integrated control rooms are tracking activities through CCTVs. The passenger cooperation was sought through public announcements and was made aware of the situation. Earlier the RPF, GRP, local police and the station staff enacted mock threat scenarios and evaluated coordination protocols. This has improved vigilance in the station premises. Proactive measures are also in place to safeguard railway assets and infrastructure.

Arakalagudu Narasingarao Krishna Rao (9 May 1908 – 8 July 1971), popularly known as Anakru, writer. He is one of the best-known writers in the Kannada-language and was popularly known as Kadambari Sarvabhouma (lit, “Universal monarch of Novels”). The inception of the Pragatishila (“progressive”) movement in Kannada literature is credited to him. He received an honorary doctorate from the Mysore University and is also a recipient of the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award.

During his college days Kanhaiyalal left studies and jumped into the freedom struggle. He spent many years in jail. As the country got independence on 15 August 1947 Kanhaiya Lal started his newspaper titled ‘Vikas’ the very same day.

तलत महमूद (24 फरवरी 1924 – 9 मई 1998), एक भारतीय पार्श्व गायक जिन्हें भारतीय फ़िल्मों के लोकप्रिय गीत और ग़ज़ल गायकों में से एक माना जाता है। हालाँकि उन्होंने फ़िल्म अभिनेता के रूप में अपनी किस्मत आजमाई, लेकिन उन्हें अभिनय में सफलता नहीं मिली। 9 मई 1998 को 74 वर्ष की आयु में मुंबई, भारत में उनका निधन हो गया।
शुरुआत में तो उन्हें मुंबई में कोई ख़ास सफलती नहीं मिली, लेकिन बाद में मुंबई में प्रदर्शित फ़िल्म ‘राखी’ (1949), ‘अनमोल रतन’ (1950) और ‘आरजू’ (1950) से उनके करियर को विशेष चमक मिली। फ़िल्म ‘आरजू’ की ग़ज़ल “ऐ दिल मुझे ऐसी जगह ले चल जहाँ कोई न हो…” ने अपार लोकप्रियता अर्जित की।
He was particularly famous for singing soft and sombre ghazals in his quivering and silky voice. Romantic and tragic were the moods he liked most and it was he who helped a great deal in shaping the style and method of modern ghazal singing in India during the 1950s and 1960s.
