- उत्तराखंड के चमोली जिले में बद्रीनाथ धाम के कपाट आज सुबह छह बजे पारंपरिक पूजा अर्चना के साथ खोल दिए गए हैं। भगवान उद्धव तथा गरुड़ की उत्सव डोली और आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य की गद्दी कल बद्रीनाथ धाम पहुंची। वहीं, भगवान कुबेर की उत्सव डोली रात्रि विश्राम के लिए बामणी गांव स्थित मां नंदा देवी मंदिर पहुंच गई है। आकाशवाणी से कार्यक्रम का आंखों देखा हाल सुबह छह बजे से सात बजे तक प्रसारित किया जा रहा है।
- रेलवे ने चारधाम यात्रा के लिए भारत गौरव डीलक्स ट्रेन की शुरूआत की है। यह रेलगाड़ी बद्रीनाथ, जोशीमठ, ऋषिकेश, पुरी, कोणार्क, रामेश्वरम और द्वारका के साथ-साथ काशी विश्वनाथ, भीमशंकर और त्र्यंबकेश्वर की यात्रा के लिए शुरू की गई है।
- ट्रेन इस महीने की 27 तारीख को दिल्ली के सफदरजंग रेलवे स्टेशन से रवाना होगी। और 17 दिन में चार धाम सहित और अन्य धार्मिक स्थलों की यात्रा पूरी करेगी। ट्रेन की टिकट पहले आओ पहले पाओ के आधार पर रेलवे की वेबसाइट पर बुक की जा सकती है।

The United States has approved the sale of HawkEye 360 technology to India to boost the country’s surveillance capabilities. The move will enhance India’s maritime domain awareness in the Indo-Pacific region. In a statement, US Defence Security Cooperation Agency said that the proposed sale will improve India’s capabilities to meet current and future threats by bolstering its maritime domain awareness, analytical abilities and strategic posture. This system, utilizing satellites in Low Earth Orbit, will improve India’s ability to detect illegal activities and monitor its Exclusive Economic Zone. The 131 million dollar deal includes software, training, and support, bolstering India’s strategic posture. HawkEye 360 collects and analyses radio frequency (RF) signal location with a constellation of satellites in Low Earth Orbit. Some vessels, which ‘go dark’ to roam undetected in disputed areas and evade tracking, can also be detected with this advanced technology.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test- NEET (UG) 2025 today across over five thousand centres in the country and 13 cities abroad. NTA in a statement said that all preparations and logistical arrangements for organizing a safe and secure examination have been made. Over 22.7 lakh candidates have registered for the examination, which will take place from 2 PM to 5 PM. The Mock Drills at all centres were successfully conducted earlier yesterday. In a concerted effort to curb the spread of baseless rumours about the availability of NEET (UG) examination content, the NTA has taken up the cases reported through its “Suspicious Claims Portal with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (14C). The NTA added that as a result, action has been initiated against, over 165 Telegram channels and more than 32 Instagram accounts disseminating false information.

Election Department has announced that Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s PAP won 82 Parliamentary seats after vote counting concluded, with five additional seats won uncontested, giving them a total of 87 out of 97 seats. The opposition Workers’ Party retained its 10 seats. The PAP’s popular vote rose to 65.6 per cent, up from a near-record low of 61 per cent in 2020 polls.

- In the aftermath of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, the Central Government has enforced trade restrictions on Pakistan. Echoing this stance, farmers and traders from Karnataka’s Kolar district have voluntarily stopped all tomato exports to the neighbouring country.
- Home to Asia’s second-largest tomato market, Kolar’s APMC is a major hub for high-quality tomato exports, supplying not only various Indian states but also countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal. During the peak harvest season in June and July, the district typically exports 800 to 900 tonnes of tomatoes and other vegetables to Pakistan each week.
- Despite the anticipated economic loss, the farmers have chosen to prioritise national sentiment, unanimously deciding to suspend exports to Pakistan as a mark of solidarity and protest against the violence.

Telangana State Governor- Jishnu Dev Varma, flagged off vehicles carrying machinery for making eco-friendly leaf plates and cups to tribal villages funded from the Governor’s Discretionary Grants. The event was held at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad to support the livelihood of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PvTGs), last evening. In his interaction with the young members of PvTG communities, the Governor highlighted the cultural importance of tribal communities, calling them the original guardians of nature. He reiterated the commitment to improving their lives through focused development programs. He further asserted that the Adivasis live beyond the boundaries of caste, creed, or religion and their way of life is deeply connected to nature and grounded in age-old traditions. Living with simplicity and minimal needs, they find contentment not in material wealth but in their close relationship with the natural world.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology launched two Silicon Photonics products designed and developed indigenously at CoE-CPPICS at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. CoE-CPPICS at IIT Madras is a unique place in India which follows Product Research Development and Manufacturing Model by leveraging CMOS fabrication process compatible silicon photonics technology. The success of silicon photonics research in India has been possible because of a brilliant team effort by a determined group of young research scholars and engineers at CPPICS, dedicated team of izmo Microsystems engineers for their IC packaging support, and scientists from SETS Chennai for use-case system integration. Photonic packaging and assembly is a complex and multi-disciplinary design and manufacturing process. IIT Madras collaborates with izmo Microsystems, a Bangalore-based company that works in the development of packaged integrated circuits, to overcome the existing limitations. The immediate focus of CoE-CPPICS, IIT Madras, is to provide better solutions for microwave and quantum photonics applications such as advanced photonic processors to be used in high-performance RF transceivers, scalable linear optical quantum computing processors for the next-generation qubit computation, and chip level quantum key generation and distribution circuits, etc. CPPICS is actively developing indigenous PIC design rules and hardware infrastructure for precision packaging for system-level applications.

साहित्य अकादमी ने वर्ष 2025 के अनुवाद पुरस्कार के लिए 24 मान्यता प्राप्त भारतीय भाषाओं में अनुदित पुस्तकें आमंत्रित की हैं। ये पुस्तकें एक जनवरी 2019 से 31 दिसम्बर 2023 के बीच पहली बार प्रकाशित होनी चाहिए। अकादमी ने अनुवादकों, प्रकाशकों और पाठकों से 31 मई तक पुस्तकों की एक प्रति भेजने का अनुरोध किया है। आवेदन प्रक्रिया और नियमों की जानकारी साहित्य अकादमी की वेबसाइट पर उपलब्ध हैं।

त्यागराज –
आज कर्नाटक संगीत के एक प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार त्यागराज की जयंती है। संत त्यागराज का वास्तविक नाम काकर्ला त्यागब्रहमम् था। संत त्यागराज को लेकर दक्षिण भारत ही नहीं पूरे विश्व में कलाकारों और जनमानस में अपार श्रद्धा है। कर्नाटक संगीत में सैकडों रचनाकार हुए हैं, पर संत त्यागराज, मुत्थुस्वामी दीक्षितर और श्यामा शास्त्राी का योगदान अविस्मणीय है। शायद, इन रचनाकारों के बिना कर्नाटक संगीत-साहित्य की परिकल्पना संभव नहीं है।

उन्होंने तरूणावस्था में अपनी पहली कृति ‘नमो-नमो राघवैया‘ सीखा, जिसे राग देशिका तोडी में निबद्ध किया। उन्होंने तमिलनाडु के तंजावुर मंे अंतिम सांसे लीं। संत त्यागराज की पंचरत्न कृतियों में चार कृतियां तेलुगु और एक कृति संस्कृत में हैं। इन कृतियों को कर्नाटक संगीत के गायक रागम-तानम पल्लवी शैली में गाते हैं। विभिन्न चरणों में रचित इन रचनाओं में कल्पना स्वरम बहुत सुंदर है। उनकी कृतियों ने कर्नाटक संगीत को समृद्ध किया है।उन्हें कर्नाटक संगीत की त्रिमूर्ति माना जाता है। उनका जन्म 4 मई 1767 को तमिलनाडु के तंजावुर में हुआ था।
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam –
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, in his Tipu Sultan Shaheed Memorial Lecture in Bangalore (30 November 1991), called Tipu Sultan the innovator of the world’s first war rocket. Two of these rockets, captured by the British at Srirangapatna, were displayed in the Royal Artillery Museum in London.

आज तबला वादक पंडित किशन महाराज की पुण्यतिथि है। आज ही के दिन 2008 में उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली थी। पंडित किशन महाराज बनारस घराने के तबला वादक थे। किशन महाराज का जन्म काशी के कबीरचौरा मुहल्ले में 3 सितंबर 1923 को एक संगीतज्ञ के परिवार में हुआ।
