India will host the first World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the four days summit. The event will provide a global platform for discussions on the future of the audio-visual and entertainment industry. The summit with the tagline ‘Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries’ is poised to position India as a global hub for media, entertainment, and digital innovation. It will integrate films, OTT, gaming, comics, digital media, Artificial Intelligence, broadcasting, and emerging tech, making it a comprehensive showcase of India’s media and entertainment prowess.

सरकार ने आगामी जनगणना में जाति गणना को शामिल करने का निर्णय लिया है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में मंत्रिमंडल की राजनीतिक कार्य समिति ने यह फैसला किया। सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने आज नई दिल्ली में कहा कि जनगणना केंद्र का विषय है। उन्होंने कांग्रेस पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि विपक्षी सरकारों ने सदैव जाति जनगणना का विरोध किया है।
श्री वैष्णव ने कहा कि इससे समाज का सामाजिक और आर्थिक ढांचा मजबूत होगा और राष्ट्र निरंतर प्रगति करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे यह पता चलता है कि नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार समाज और देश के मूल्यों तथा हितों के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

India has closed its airspace for Pakistan airlines in the wake of Pahalgam terror attack. The airspace closure will be in effect till 23rd May. The Civil Aviation Ministry has informed that Indian airspace is not available for aircraft registered in Pakistan, aircraft operated, owned or leased by Pakistani airlines or operators including military aircraft during the period. A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued banning Pakistan airlines from using the Indian airspace.

बांग्लादेश में सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने राजद्रोह मामले में बांग्लादेश सम्मिलित सनातन जागरण जोत के प्रवक्ता और इस्कॉन के पूर्व पुजारी चिन्मय कृष्ण दास ब्रम्हचारी को जमानत देने के उच्च न्यायालय के फैसले पर रोक लगा दी है। न्यायमूर्ति मोहम्मद रियाजुल हक ने सरकार की अपील पर सुनवाई के लिये रविवार की तिथि तय की है। इससे पहले कल दोपहर उच्च न्यायालय ने राजद्रोह मामले में चिन्मय दास को जमानत मंजूर की थी। इस आदेश के तुरंत बाद सर्वोच्च न्यायालय की अपील पीठ में याचिका दायर की गई। सुनवाई के दौरान चिन्मय दास के वकील अदालत में उपस्थित नहीं थे। चिन्मय दास को पिछले वर्ष 25 नवंबर को ढाका हवाई अड्डे से गिरफ्तार किया गया था।

The United States has announced that it has signed an economic partnership agreement with Ukraine that will allow Washington access to Kyiv’s rare earth minerals in exchange for a joint fund to invest in Ukraine’s reconstruction. Washington and Kyiv have been engaged in intense negotiations for a couple of months to reach an agreement to provide the United States with access to Ukraine’s natural resources. A US Treasury Department press release states that the two countries have mutually agreed to form a Reconstruction Investment Fund which would receive 50 per cent of profits and royalties accruing to the Ukrainian state from new natural resources permits.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is calling for applications for the next batch of B.S. Degree Programs in Data Science and applications and electronic systems. May 20th is the deadline to apply for these courses. The Director of the Institute Prof. V. Kamakoti has said that these programs reflect the vision to democratize access to IIT quality education, empowering learners from every corner of the Country and the World. The fact that three of the top ten ranks in the GATE 2025 Data Science and AI paper were bagged by the BS Data Science students including the top rank show that this program does not compromise on rigour.
The highlight of these programs is open to all learners who have passed Class 12, multiple entry and exit options for exit with a certificate, diplomas, or continue toward a BSc or BS degree, there is also no age limit, unlimited seats and strong financial support for deserving students, graduates of the BS programs have gone on to secure impressive opportunities in both Industry and academia. In a landmark achievement, three students from the BS programs have secured top ten All India Ranks in the GATE 2025 examination in Data Science and AI, a testament to the academic strength and competitive edge the program imparts.

दिल्ली- एनडीएमसी सुविधा शिविर
नई दिल्ली नगरपालिका परिषद-एनडीएमसी अपने क्षेत्र के निवासियों और सेवा उपयोगकर्ताओं की शिकायतों के निवारण के लिए आगामी शनिवार को शहर के जय सिंह रोड स्थित एनडीएमसी कन्वेंशन सेंटर में सुविधा शिविर का आयोजन करेगा। एनडीएमसी ने बताया है कि इस शिविर में निवासी सुबह साढ़े दस से दोपहर साढे बारह बजे तक अपनी शिकायतों दर्ज करवा सकते हैं। एनडीएमसी ने बताया है कि इस सुविधा शिविर में विद्युत विभाग से संबंधित सेवा और शिकायतें, संपत्ति कर, जन्म और मृत्यु प्रमाण पत्र, एनडीएमसी के सेवारत और सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारियों के सेवा मामले, जलभराव, सड़क मरम्मत, विधवा पेंशन, वृद्धावस्था पेंशन, विकलांग पेंशन, बारात घर और पार्कों की बुकिंग जैसी सेवाओं से संबंधित शिकायतों का समाधान किया जाएगा। नई दिल्ली नगरपालिका परिषद द्वारा हर महीने के पहले शनिवार को इस सुविधा शिविर का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इन शिविरों के आयोजन के अलावा, पालिका परिषद ने एनडीएमसी क्षेत्र के निवासियों और सेवा उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए एक “जन सुविधा पोर्टल” भी लॉन्च किया है। नागिरक, इस पोर्टल के माध्यम से भी अपनी शिकायतें दर्ज करवा सकते हैं।
दिल्ली- निगम बैठक
दिल्ली नगर निगम के पार्कों की बेहतर देखरेख और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कल महापौर राजा इकबाल सिंह ने उप-महापौर और वरिष्ठ पार्षदों के साथ एक बैठक की। बैठक में निगम के विभिन्न पार्कों से जुड़ी गंभीर समस्याओं पर विस्तार से चर्चा की गई। महापौर कार्यालय में आयोजित इस बैठक में प्रमुख रूप से टूटी हुई चारदीवारी, जर्जर पगडंडियां, अपर्याप्त प्रकाश व्यवस्था, सूखे पत्तों का ढेर, माली की कमी, वन विभाग से छंटाई की अनुमति में देरी तथा पानी के पंपों की खराब स्थिति जैसे मुद्दों को प्रमुखता से उठाया गया।

Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H D Kumaraswamy has welcomed the Cabinet decision to conduct the caste enumeration as part of the upcoming national census. He has termed it as a historic and visionary decision under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Union Minister has said that this is a landmark step to ensure authentic, scientific and transparent caste data. This step, he added, is a movement away from politically motivated state level surveys that often lacked credibility and uniformity. Kumaraswamy noted that this is a reaffirmed commitment to inclusive governance and data driven policy making. He affirmed that this will empower welfare planning, strengthen social justice and shape an equitable future for all. The minister complimented the Prime Minister for this decisive and far sighted action in the interest of the nation.

मानसून गाद निकालने पर नज़र – बीएमसी का वॉर रूम
बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम-बीएमसी ने मुंबई में चल रहे मानसून से पहले गाद निकालने के काम पर नज़र रखने के लिए वॉर रूम बनाया है। बीएमसी ने आदेश दिया है कि मुंबई में गाद निकालने का काम करने वाले सभी ठेकेदारों को काम के सबूत के तौर पर वीडियो फुटेज अपलोड करनी चाहिए। इसके साथ ही, नगर निगम के अधिकारियों ने यह भी कहा है कि चल रहे काम का सीसीटीवी के ज़रिए वॉर रूम में सीधा प्रसारण किया जाएगा। वॉर रूम सुबह 8 बजे से रात 11 बजे तक चालू रहेगा और इसमें दो लोग काम करेंगे। अधिकारियों ने यह भी कहा है कि नागरिक swd.mcgm.gov.in पर गाद निकालने के काम की प्रगति पर नज़र रख सकते हैं। अधिकारियों के अनुसार, फुटेज के साथ छेड़छाड़ करने या उसे फिर से अपलोड करने संबंधी समस्या को लेकर वीडियो फुटेज की समीक्षा और विश्लेषण करने के लिए आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस-एआई का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है। यह प्रणाली ट्रकों पर भी नज़र रखती है ताकि यह पता लगाया जा सके कि वे रास्ते से हट तो नहीं रहे हैं। कुछ वाहनों के सामान्य से ज्यादा भार ले जाने की जाँच भी यह प्रणाली करती है।

In Telangana, two girl students, one each from Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts, bagged the top marks in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), board examinations. Both Nimma Anchitha of Kamareddy and Sripa Kriti of Nizamabad secured 596 marks in the 10th class board examinations. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy released the results last evening in Hyderabad. The state recorded 92.78 pass percentage, which has increased 1.47 percent from last year, while 4 lakh 96 thousand regular students appeared for the exams.
The Telangana State Residential Schools secured the highest passing percentage of 98.79 among the managements.
Over two thousand Private Schools, 1675 hundred Zilla Parishad schools, 143 BC Welfare schools, 126 Ashram schools, and 108 Social Welfare schools secured 100 percent passing percentage.
