भारत ने पहलगाम आतंकी हमले के बाद पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ कड़े कदम उठाये हैं। पाकिस्तान के साथ 1960 का सिंधु जल समझौता रोक दिया गया है और तत्काल प्रभाव से अटारी सीमा चौकी बंद कर दी गयी है। कल शाम प्रधानमंत्री के आवास पर हुई सुरक्षा पर मंत्रिमंडलीय समिति की बैठक में सुरक्षा स्थिति की समीक्षा की गयी और सभी सुरक्षा बलों को कडी सतर्कता बरतने के निर्देश दिए गये।
बैठक के बाद विदेश सचिव विक्रम मिसरी ने संवाददाताओं को बताया कि सार्क वीजा छूट योजना के तहत पाकिस्तानी नागरिकों को भारत आने की अनुमति नहीं मिलेगी।
विदेश सचिव ने कहा कि पहली मई तक उच्चायोगों में कर्मचारियों की संख्या 55 से कम कर 30 की जाएगी।
पूरे विश्व में विभिन्न देशों की सरकारों ने भारत के साथ एकजुटता व्यक्त की है और एक स्वर से इस आतंकी हमले की निंदा की है। मंत्रिमंडलीय सुरक्षा समिति ने आतंकवाद को कतई बर्दाश्त न करने के इस फैसले की सराहना की।

Olympian Vithya Ramraj won gold in the women’s 400 meter hurdles at the National Federation Senior Athletics Competition in Kochi yesterday, clocking 56.04 seconds to qualify for the Asian Championships 2025. Her time also set a new meet record, surpassing Saritaben Gayakwad’s 2019 mark of 57.21 seconds.
Anu R finished second with 58.26 seconds, while Ashwini R took third with 1 minute 2.41 seconds.
In the men’s 400 meter hurdles, Yashas Palaksha claimed gold with a personal best of 49.32 seconds.
In the men’s hammer throw, Damneet Singh won gold with a 68.30 meter effort, while Praveen Kumar took silver and Gurdev Singh got bronze.

World Immunization Week 2025 by the World Health Organisation (WHO) will begin from today across the globe. The week long campaign will last till 30th of this month. This week is celebrated in the last week of April, with the aim to promote the life-saving power of immunization. The theme for this year is “Immunization for All is Humanly Possible”. This theme emphasizes the importance of ensuring everyone, regardless of age or location, has access to life-saving vaccines.
WHO claims that over last 50 years, essential vaccines have saved at least 15 crore 40 lakh lives.

At least 12 people involved in high stakes cyber crimes, such as investment fraud, scholarship scams and a digital arrest scam were arrested by the Chennai City Police over the weekend.
Police said, the gangs had international links. Following a tip off, a team led by Superintendent of Police, Shanaz tracked a gang of eight suspects running an online trading scam. The criminals, operating in coordination with their Sri Lankan counterparts, targeted victims by offering fake high return investment opportunities.
In one of the cases, a doctor was tricked into investing over 87.9 lakh through a fraudulent online platform. Further investigations revealed, the suspects were also involved in scholarship scams targeting students. The bank account in question was tied to 99 complaints registered through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

अब एक महत्वपूर्ण सूचना। दिल्ली जल बोर्ड ने बताया है कि ग्रेटर कैलाश स्थित पम्प हाउस में मरम्मत कार्य के कारण 25 और 26 अप्रैल को दक्षिण दिल्ली के कुछ इलाकों में पानी की आपूर्ति प्रभावित रहेगी। जल बोर्ड के अनुसार जिन क्षेत्रों में पानी की आपूर्ति बाधित रहेगी उनमें चिराग दिल्ली, खिड़की एक्सटेंशन, पंचशील विहार, साकेत और इसके आस-पास के क्षेत्र शामिल हैं।
दिल्ली जल बोर्ड ने स्थानीय निवासियों से पर्याप्त मात्रा में पानी के भंडारण का अनुरोध किया है। आपातकाल स्थिति में जलबोर्ड के कंट्रोल नंबर 0 1 1 – 2 9 -2 3- 4 7- 4 6, और 1 9- 1 6 पर फोन कर पानी के टैंकर मंगाए जा सकते हैं।

In the biennial election held for the lone Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from Hyderabad Local Authorities Constituency of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, 78.57 percent votes were polled yesterday.
The contest was between Dr N Goutham Rao of the BJP and Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi of the All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). The ruling Congress did not field a candidate while the opposition BRS has asked its corporators to abstain from voting.
The ballot boxes were brought to the reception centre with security, and were stored in the strong room. The counting of the votes will take place tomorrow.

The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, FKCCI has voiced concern over the recent hike in Minimum Wages across Karnataka. It has termed the move detrimental to the micro, small and medium enterprises in the state.
The small industrial units operating from Peenya Industrial Estate have flagged the issue of increasing the Variable Dearness Allowance and resultant wage hike that it argues will trigger an unviable financial crisis.
FKCCI President – M G Balakrishna has said that wage hike to workers will force at least 20 percent of the small units to close down. Saying that the Federation supports fair pay packages to workers, the President has however noted that indiscriminate wage hikes without assessing the paying capacity of small scale industries will lead to a situation where many will consider shutting down their units.

रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ जन्म: 23 सितंबर, 1908, बिहार; मृत्यु: 24 अप्रैल, 1974, तमिलनाडु) आज ही पुण्यतिथि है हिन्दी भाषा के प्रसिद्ध लेखक, कवि और निबंधकार रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ की । ‘राष्ट्रकवि दिनकर’ को आधुनिक युग के श्रेष्ठ वीर रस के कवि के रूप में याद किया जाता हैं। दिनकर की मुख्य रचनाओं में कुरुक्षेत्र, उर्वशी, रेणुका, रश्मिरथी, द्वंदगीत, बापू, धूप छाँह, मिर्च का मज़ा, सूरज का ब्याह लोगों के दिलों के बहुत करीब हैं ।
पुरस्कार-उपाधि ‘दिनकर’ को उनके काव्य संग्रह उर्वशी के लिये 1972 में साहित्य के सबसे बड़े पुरुस्कार ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। भारत सरकार ने साहित्य में उनके अतुलनीय योगदान के लिए पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया। उन्हें ‘साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से भी नवाज़ा गया।

वह महान गायिका लता मंगेशकर, के पिता थे। दीनानाथ मंगेशकर 5 साल की उम्र में श्री बाबा माशेलकर से गायन और संगीत की शिक्षा लेने लगे थे तथा ग्वालियर संगीत विद्यालय के छात्र भी रहे। ‘मास्टर दीनानाथ मंगेशकर पुरस्कार’ 24 अप्रैल को यानी मास्टर दीनानाथ के स्मृति दिवस पर आयोजित किए जाने की परंपरा रही है।

दण्डपाणि जयकान्तन जन्म- 24 अप्रॅल, 1934; मृत्यु- 8 अप्रॅल, 2015) आज ही जयंती है सुप्रसिद्ध तेलुगु साहित्यकार दण्ड-पाणि जय-कान्तन की । वह भारतीय साहित्य के सबसे अच्छे लेखकों में से एक थे। सन 1972 में दण्ड-पाणि को ‘साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार’ (तमिल) से सम्मानित किया गया।साहित्य में उनके अतुलनीय योगदान के लिए भारत सरकार ने पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया। 2002 में दण्ड-पाणि जय-कान्तन को साहित्य के सबसे बड़े सम्मान ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार से नवाज़ा गया।
