मनोज – नजर डालते हैं अब तक के मुख्य समाचारों पर-
जम्मू-कश्मीर के पहलगाम में कल के आतंकवादी हमले में कई पर्यटकों की हत्या की घटना को देखते हुए कश्मीर घाटी में सुरक्षा कई गुना बढ़ा दी गयी है। यह घटना दक्षिण कश्मीर के अनंतनाग जिले में श्रीनगर से लगभग 85 किलोमीटर दूर हुई। इस घटना में शामिल आंतकियों को पकड़ने के लिए सेना, केन्द्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल और जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस संयुक्त रूप से अभियान चला रही है। पहलगाम में जिस जगह पर यह हमला हुआ वहां पांच किलोमीटर के दायरे में यह अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। हमलावरों का पता लगाने के लिए विशेष बलों, खोजी कुत्तों और अन्य तकनीकी संसाधनों का उपयोग इस अभियान में किया जा रहा है।
इस बीच, प्रदेश में राजमार्ग और संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में प्रमुख ठिकानों और पर्यटन के लिए प्रसिद्ध जगहों पर अतिरिक्त नाके लगाए गए हैं तथा त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया दलों को तैनात किया गया है। श्रीनगर में आज सेना की उत्तरी कमान के कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल एम वी सुचेन्द्र कुमार को स्थानीय कमांडरों की ओर से घाटी में सुरक्षा की वर्तमान स्थिति के बारे में जानकारी दी जाएगी।
उधर, श्रीनगर, गुलमर्ग और सोनमर्ग जैसे अन्य पर्यटन स्थलों पर जांच पड़ताल और तलाशी बढ़ा दी गई है। इसके अतिरिक्त छोटे, मध्यम और बड़े होटलों की सुरक्षा में भी वृद्धि की गई है ताकि इस तरह की घटनाओं को रोका जा सके। पर्यटन के इस मौसम के चरम पर होने के दौरान घाटी में पर्यटकों को निशाना बनाए जाने की इस घटना को लेकर गंभीर चिन्ता की स्थिति पैदा हो गई है। सुरक्षा बलों के सूत्रों के अनुसार लोगों के बचाव और उनकी पहचान के प्रयास जारी हैं तथा घटना में मारे गए लोगों की कुल संख्या का पता लगाने के लिए पीडितों की सूची बनाई जा रही है।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his state visit to Saudi Arabia following the terror attack in Pahalgam. Our West Asia correspondent reports, despite the shortened trip, Prime Minister’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had several key outcomes.
Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Suhel Ajaz Khan said the two leaders also welcomed the progress made by the Joint High-Level Task Force on Investments.
Mr Khan also said that his royal Highness, the Crown Prince, condemned the terror attack and offered any help to India in this regard.

गृह मंत्री देर रात श्रीनगर पहुंचे और वहां से सीधे राजभवन चले गए। इससे पहले गृह मंत्री ने वीडियों कॉफ्रेंसिंग के जरिए संबंधित अधिकारियों से इस घटना पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने दोहराया कि इस कायराना आतंकी हमले में शामिल लोगों को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।

President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have condemned the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Terming it as shocking and painful, the President said, it is a dastardly and inhuman act which must be condemned unequivocally. The President said, attacking innocent citizens is utterly appalling and unpardonable. She expressed condolences to the families who have lost their dear ones and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
In a social media post, Mr Dhankhar said that such acts of violence are reprehensible and deserve our strongest condemnation.
Prime Minister Modi said, those behind the heinous act will not be spared and will be brought to justice. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said, their evil agenda will never succeed. He also expressed his condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and prayed for the injured to recover at the earliest. Mr Modi added that all possible assistance is being provided to those affected.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Leaders across party lines have strongly condemned the terror attack.

Leaders across the globe have condemned yesterday’s terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. U.S. President Donald Trump called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed deep condolences for the loss of innocent lives and assured full U.S. support to help bring the attackers to justice. Ministry of External Affairs emphasised that both nations stand united against terrorism.
Earlier White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump had been briefed on the attack. She described the attack as brutal and reaffirmed U.S. commitment to global peace and security.
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, currently in India with his family, also expressed sorrow over the attack, calling it heartbreaking. The U.S. State Department labeled the attack as unjustifiable, reaffirming solidarity with India and the victims’ families.
President Trump also shared his condolences on Truth Social and extended his full support and deepest sympathies. He wrote, the news from Kashmir is deeply disturbing and prayed for the souls of those who lost lives and for the recovery of the injured.
Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his condolences to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the killing of several tourists in the Pahalgam terrorist attack. He said, the brutal crime has no justification whatsoever. He hoped that the organisers and perpetrators of the attack will face a deserved punishment.
The UAE and Iran have also strongly condemned the terrorist attack. In a social media post, the Embassy of Iran in India has extended its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of India, especially to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery and good health to the injured.

It was noted that elderly and differently abled passengers face difficulties due to the long platform stretches and overhead crossings.

Karnataka Energy Minister – K J George has said that they are planning to approach the Central Government to implement ‘KUSUM A’ Scheme in the state. ‘KUSUM A’ which expands to ‘Pradhan Mantri- Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan’ promotes local generation and consumption of solar power, particularly among farmers and rural communities. The ‘KUSUM B’ scheme incentives solar powered agricultural pump sets and ‘KUSUM C’ promotes solarisation of agricultural feeders, These are being implemented in the state and the Minister said, they are looking forward to introducing ‘KUSUM A’ scheme as well.
The farmers, farmer groups, cooperative societies, panchayats, former producer organisations and water user association can utilise ‘KUSUM A’ scheme to set up solar power plants with capacities ranging from 500 kilowatts to a maximum of two megawatts. They can use solar power and sell the surplus to the Government. The Energy minister said, discussions will be held with the Union Government so that the scheme can address power shortage and provide farmers with additional sources of income.

Temperatures across Telangana state have consistently started to peak during the last 48 hours, triggering severe heatwave-like conditions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad issued a heatwave alert yesterday to multiple districts including Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Jagtial till the 26th of this month where temperatures could increase beyond 44 degrees Celsius. The IMD-Hyderabad has also issued an orange alert for temperatures to be hovering around 44 degrees Celsius across the state, including Hyderabad. The IMD officials forecast gradual rise by 2 to 3 temperatures across the State. Meanwhile, maximum temperatures continued to hover between 41 and 44 degrees Celsius at multiple locations in the State.

महाराष्ट्र की पर्यावरण मंत्री पंकजा मुंडे ने प्रकृति और पर्यावरण को संरक्षित करने के लिए आवश्यक और तत्काल उपाय के रूप में जन भागीदारी का आह्वान किया है। उन्होंने विश्व पृथ्वी दिवस के अवसर पर मंगलवार को पवई लेक सफाई अभियान के उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम में यह बात कही। पवई लेक सफाई कार्यक्रम राज्य के नौ दिन व्यापी पर्यावरण सरंक्षण अभियान को दर्शाता है। सुश्री मुंडे ने कहा कि जिस तरह नवरात्रि के दौरान श्रद्धालु देवी दुर्गा की पूजा करते हैं, उसी तरह इस अभियान के दौरान पृथ्वी का जीर्णोद्धार और संरक्षित करने की इमानदार कोशिश करने का यह समय है।
उन्होंने कहा कि ”पर्यावरण बचाओ, ग्रह को सुंदर बनाओ’ अभियान को गांवों से लेकर शहरों तक चलाया जाएगा। इस अभियान में नागरिकों को प्रकृति को संरक्षित करने की आवश्कता की दिशा में जागरूक बनाया जाएगा। वहीं सरकारी और गैर सरकारी संगठन ”कमी लाए पुनः उपयोग करें, पुनर्चक्रण करें” की अवधारणा पर आधारित स्कूलों और कॉलेजों में विभिन्न तरह की प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित करेंगे।

These glowing tributes to the legend was paid by another legend of cinema Akira Kuosawa . THE DAY MARKS THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF SATYA JIT RAY who left us this day in the year 1992… The motion-picture director, writer, and illustrator who brought the Indian cinema to world recognition. As a director Ray was noted for his humanism, his versatility, and his detailed control over his films and their music. Ray was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1985 and the Legion of Honor by the President of France in 1987. Padma Bhushan came his way in 1965 shortly before his demise he received the Bharat Ratna and an Honorary Academy Award in 1992 for his lifetime achievements in cinema, specifically for his “rare mastery of the art of motion pictures” and “profound humanitarian outlook”

आज पुण्यतिथि है सत्यजित राय की ( जन्म:2 मई, 1921 – मृत्यु: 23 अप्रॅल, 1992) वे बीसवीं शताब्दी के विश्व की महानतम फ़िल्मी हस्तियों में से एक थे, जिन्होंने यथार्थवादी धारा की फ़िल्मों को नई दिशा देने के अलावा साहित्य, चित्रकला जैसी अन्य विधाओं में भी अपनी प्रतिभा का परिचय दिया। सत्यजित राय प्रमुख रूप से फ़िल्मों में निर्देशक के रूप में जाने जाते हैं, लेकिन लेखक और साहित्यकार के रूप में भी उन्होंने उल्लेखनीय में ख्याति अर्जित की है। सत्यजित राय फ़िल्म निर्माण से संबंधित कई काम ख़ुद ही करते थे। इनमें निर्देशन, छायांकन, पटकथा, पार्श्व संगीत, कला निर्देशन, संपादन आदि शामिल हैं। फ़िल्मकार के अलावा वह कहानीकार, चित्रकार और फ़िल्म आलोचक भी थे। सत्यजित राय कथानक लिखने को निर्देशन का अभिन्न अंग मानते थे। सत्यजित राय ने अपने जीवन में 37 फ़िल्मों का निर्देशन किया, जिनमें फ़ीचर फ़िल्में, वृत्त चित्र और लघु फ़िल्में शामिल हैं। इनकी पहली फ़िल्म ‘पाथेर पांचाली’ को कान फ़िल्मोत्सव में मिले “सर्वोत्तम मानवीय प्रलेख” पुरस्कार को मिलाकर कुल ग्यारह अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिले। विश्व में भारतीय फ़िल्मों को नई पहचान दिलाने वाले सत्यजित राय भारत रत्न (1992) के अतिरिक्त पद्म श्री (1958), पद्म भूषण (1965), पद्म विभूषण (1976) और रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार (1967) से सम्मानित हैं। विश्व सिनेमा में अभूतपूर्व योगदान के लिए सत्यजित राय को मानद ‘ऑस्कर अवॉर्ड’ से अलंकृत किया।

Here is another poem wordsworth called my heart leaps up it talks about the simple beauty of a rainbow but then if you analyse or read between the lines it means people should maintain their sense of childlike wonder well into their adulthood .. let me read few lines

आज पुण्यतिथि है उषा गांगुली की। ( जन्म- 1945, कानपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश; मृत्यु- 23 अप्रॅल, 2020, कोलकाता, पश्चिम बंगाल) वे प्रसिद्ध भारतीय समाज सेविका तथा रंगमंच की अभिनेत्री और निर्देशक थीं। कोलकाता में जहां बांग्ला थियेटर का बोलबाला था, वहां उन्होंने हिंदी थियेटर स्थापित किया। उनको वहां वैकल्पिक हिंदी रंगमंच के एक नए रूप को लाने का श्रेय दिया जाता है। उषा गांगुली का नाटक काशीनामा बहुत चर्चित रहा था। उनके द्वारा निर्देशित नाटकों में महाभोज, लोक कथा, होली, कोर्ट मार्शेल, रुदाली, मुक्ति, शोभायात्रा, आदि शामिल है। उन्हें वर्ष 1998 में संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था।

आज पुण्यतिथि है शमशाद बेगम की ( जन्म- 14 अप्रैल, 1919, पंजाब; मृत्यु- 23 अप्रैल, 2013, मुम्बई) वे भारतीय सिनेमा में हिन्दी फ़िल्मों की शुरुआती पार्श्वगायिकाओं में से एक थीं। हिन्दी सिनेमा के प्रारम्भिक दौर में उनकी खनखती और सुरीली आवाज़ ने एक बहुत बड़ी संख्या में उनके प्रशसकों की भीड़ तैयार कर दी थी। हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के कई सुपरहिट गीत, जैसे- ‘कभी आर कभी पार’, ‘कजरा मोहब्बत वाला’, ‘लेके पहला-पहला प्यार’, ‘बूझ मेरा क्या नाम रे’ शमशाद बेगम के नाम पर दर्ज हैं।
