Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that Direct Benefit Transfer- DBT initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has saved three lakh 48 thousand crore rupees by reducing leakage. Quoting a policy paper titled a Quantitative Assessment of India’s DBT System, Mr Vaishnaw in a social media post said that under this welfare delivery model , the coverage of beneficiaries has increased by 16 times.
According to the policy paper, the country’s DBT system, implemented in 2013, has redefined welfare delivery by enhancing transparency, curbing leakages, and ensuring precise fund distribution. This policy document evaluates a decade of data from 2009 to 2024 to assess DBT’s impact on budgetary efficiency, subsidy rationalization, and social outcomes. It added that Aadhaar-linked authentication eliminated ghost beneficiaries, enabling coverage expansion without proportional fiscal.

जम्मू-कश्मीर के रामबन जिले में बादल फटने और भूस्खलन की घटना के बाद राहत और बचाव अभियान आज फिर शुरू होगा। कश्मीर घाटी को देश के बाकी हिस्सों से जोड़ने वाले महत्वपूर्ण जम्मू-श्रीनगर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग को पूरी तरह से खोलने के प्रयास जारी हैं।

राष्ट्रीय आपदा मोचन बल और राज्य आपदा मोचन बल की टीम राहत और बचाव कार्यों में लगी हुई हैं, लेकिन खराब मौसम की कारण राहत कार्यों में बाधा आ रही है। सेना के जवान यातायात बहाल करने में नागरिक प्रशासन की सहायता कर रहे हैं। तेज बारिश के कारण आज रामबन जिले में स्कूल और सरकारी संस्थान बंद रहेंगे।

The Chennai metropolitan development authority is set to build a sports centre in Royapuram at a cost of Rs Nine Crore The facility will be built in an area of 1557 sqm and will feature a still plus two floor design. It aims to serve as a hub for a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, with world class training facilities. The facility will be opened within six months once the work order is issued.It will also include an outdoor cricket ground and football turf.

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कल एक हज़ार एक सौ 11 जीपीएस सक्षम पानी के टैंकरों को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। शहर के बुराड़ी स्थित संत निरंकारी ग्राउंड में इन टैंकर्स को रवाना करने के बाद मीडिया से बातचीत में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि दिल्ली को जल संकट से मुक्ति दिलाने के अभियान में यह कदम निर्णायक साबित होने वाला है। श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि कल से शुरू हो रही इस पहल से अब प्रत्येक टैंकर की निगरानी केंद्रीय कमांड सेंटर से की जाएगी, जिससे पारदर्शिता, समयबद्धता और जवाबदेही सुनिश्चित होगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि पिछली सरकारों में टैंकर माफिआ फल-फूल रहे थे और सिस्टम में बड़े स्तर पर उनके ज़रिये भ्रष्ट्राचार होता था।
इस अवसर पर दिल्ली सरकार में जल मंत्री परवेश साहिब सिंह ने कहा कि कल इन टैंकरों के साथ-साथ डीजेबी टैंकर ट्रैकिंग ऐप भी लॉन्च किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रत्येक दिल्लीवासी इस ऐप के जरिए पानी के टैंकर को ट्रैक कर सकेंगे जिससे सिस्टम में अधिक पारदर्शिता आएगी।

दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री परवेश साहिब सिंह ने कल राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के जहांगीर पुरी इलाके में कोरोनेशन पिलर सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट-STP का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने कहा कि यमुना नदी की सफाई के लिए सरकार प्रतिबद्ध है।
दिल्ली-सीलमपुर हत्याकांड
दिल्ली पुलिस ने शहर के सीलमपुर में 17 वर्षीय युवक की हत्या के मामले में 2 महिलाओं और 2 नाबालिग सहित कुल 9 आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी के साथ इस हत्याकांड की गुत्थी को सुलझा लिया है। हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया है कि दिल्ली-एनसीआर सहित उत्तर प्रदेश के कई इलाकों में छापेमारी कर इन आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
दिल्ली-महापौर मुस्तफाबाद
दिल्ली नगर निगम के महापौर महेश कुमार खींची ने कल शहर के मुस्तफाबाद इलाके के दयालपुर में एक इमारत के गिरने से हुई लोगों कि मृत्यु पर मृतकों के परिजनों के प्रति अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त की है। आज नई दिल्ली में एक प्रेस वार्ता को सम्बोधित करते हुए महापौर ने कहा कि वह निगम आयुक्त को पत्र लिखकर ये मांग करेंगे कि इस मामले में इसमें लिप्त सभी अधिकारियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाए।
दिल्ली-मादक पदार्थ
दिल्ली पुलिस की अपराध शाखा ने मादक पदार्थ की तस्करी करने वाले एक अंतरराज्यीय गिरोह का भंडाफोड़ किया है। पुलिस ने बताया कि इस कार्रवाई में शहर के समयपुर बादली इलाके से दो मादक पदार्थ तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। पुलिस के अनुसार दोनों आरोपियों के पास से 27 किलोग्राम से अधिक मादक पदार्थ भी जब्त किया गया है। पुलिस ने बताया कि यह गिरोह ओडिशा और बिहार के दूरदराज के इलाकों से राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में मादक पदार्थ की आपूर्ति करने में शामिल था।

The proposed hike in minimum wages in Karnataka could lead to the closure of at least 20% of industries in Bengaluru’s Peenya industrial area and prompt around 30% to shift operations to other states, industrialists have cautioned.
According to a recent draft notification by the state government, highly skilled labourers would earn approximately Rs 30,000, while unskilled workers would receive around Rs 20,000.
However, representatives of the Peenya Industries Association (PIA) said many industrialists from the area one of the largest industrial hubs in the country have approached them in the past week, expressing concerns over the wage hike.

विश्व पृथ्वी दिवस
पर्यावरण संरक्षण और सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए, पर्यावरण और जलवायु परिवर्तन विभाग 22 अप्रैल से 1 मई तक पूरे महाराष्ट्र में “पर्यावरण बचाओ, पृथ्वी सुशोभित करो” पहल का आयोजन करेगा। मंत्री पंकजा मुंडे ने सभी से इस पहल में भाग लेने की अपील की है।

Telangana state Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that the vacancies in the Telangana state Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will be be filled soon. The Minister said that the government will release a notification for three thousand 38 vacancies very soon. He said about two thousand among them are driver posts and 743 are Shramik posts while 84 deputy superintendents (traffic). The posts to be notified include 114 deputy superintendent (mechanical), 25 depot managers or assistant traffic manager, 18 assistant mechanical engineer posts, 23 assistant engineer (civil), 11 section officers (civil), 6 accounts officers, 7 medical officers (general) and 7 medical officers (specialist) posts.

आज भारतीय सैनिक गबर सिंह नेगी की जयंती है। वह प्रथम विश्वयुद्ध में मरणोपरान्त ‘विक्टोरिया क्रास’ प्राप्त करने वाले गढ़वाल, उत्तराखण्ड के वीर सपूत थे। प्रथम विश्व युद्ध के दौरान गबर सिंह नेगी 39वें गढ़वाल राइफल्स की दूसरी बटालियन में राइफलमैन थे। 10 मार्च, 1915 को फ्रांस में न्यूवे चैपल नामक स्थान पर जर्मन सेना के विरुद्ध लड़ते हुए युद्ध के मोर्चे पर असीम साहस, वीरता और कर्तव्यपरायणता के लिए गबर सिंह नेगी को ब्रिटिश सरकार ने सर्वोच्च सैन्य पदक ‘विक्टोरिया क्रास’ से मरणोपरान्त सम्मानित किया था। सबसे कम उम्र में विक्टोरिया क्रॉस से सम्मानित होने वाले पहले सैनिक शहीद गबर सिंह नेगी थे। उनके मरणोपरांत से 21 अप्रॅल उनके जन्मदिवस के मौके पर हर साल चंबा में स्थित उनके स्मारक पर गढ़वाल राइफल द्वारा रेतलिंग परेड कर उन्हें सलामी दी जाती है।

इन्होंने अपनी निशानेबाज़ी की यादगार लम्हों को एक पुस्तक के रूप में भी प्रस्तुत किया, जिसका नाम है- ”फ़्रॉम रोम टू मास्को”।
वह पहले निशानेबाज़ थे, जिन्हें 1961 में ‘अर्जुन पुरस्कार’ देकर सम्मानित किया गया था।
