सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में कल वक्फ संशोधन अधिनियम -2025 पर दूसरे दिन सुनवाई हुई। केंद्र सरकार ने शीर्ष न्यायालय को आश्वासन दिया है कि अगली सुनवाई तक इस अधिनियम, के अंतर्गत वक्फ बोर्ड या केंद्रीय वक्फ परिषद में कोई नई नियुक्ति नहीं की जाएगी।
मुख्य न्यायाधीश संजीव खन्ना, न्यायमूर्ति संजय कुमार और न्यायमूर्ति के.वी. विश्वनाथन की पीठ के समक्ष महाधिवक्ता तुषार मेहता ने कहा कि उपयोगकर्ता द्वारा वक्फ संपत्तियों सहित मौजूदा वक्फ संपत्तियों की स्थिति में फिलहाल कोई बदलाव नहीं किया जाएगा। न्यायालय ने केंद्र को वक्फ अधिनियम, 1995 में हाल ही में किए गए संशोधनों की संवैधानिक वैधता को चुनौती देने वाली याचिकाओं पर सात दिन के भीतर अपना जवाब दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया। इस मामले की सुनवाई अब 5 मई को होगी।

The Calcutta High Court has directed the formation of a three-member committee for the identification and rehabilitation of people displaced by the violence which took place during the protests over the Waqf Act in Murshidabad district. The court said that the three-member committee will consist of an official each from the National Human Rights Commission and the West Bengal Human Rights Commission, besides the member secretary of the State Legal Services Authority. They will have to submit their report by May 15, 2025.
A division bench of Justices Soumen Sen and Raja Basu Chowdhury further said that the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) will continue to stay in the affected areas of Murshidabad, as per their earlier order on April 12.

Maharashtra government has announced that Hindi will be a compulsory third language from Classes I to V in Marathi and English medium schools, in line with the National Education Policy,NEP 2020.
Currently, only Marathi and English are mandatory from Classes I to IV in these schools. A Government Resolution,GR issued by the State School Education Department on Wednesday outlines the phase-wise implementation of the new language curriculum beginning in the next academic year.
According to the GR, Hindi will be introduced as a third compulsory language from Class I to V starting 2025-26. The new syllabus will also be rolled out for Class I in the same academic year.

Chief Minister – M K Stalin inaugurated the facility at Siruseri. The facility has 26 Megawatt capacity with the ability to scale in the subsequent phases over the next five years.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कल नई दिल्ली में यमुना नदी की वर्तमान स्थिति का आंकलन करने के लिए समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। इस दौरान यमुना की सफाई और कायाकल्प के लिए भविष्य की योजनाओं पर चर्चा की गई। इस बैठक में नदी की सफाई के लिए एजेंसी-वार कार्य योजना की समीक्षा भी की गई। यमुना नदी की सफाई से संबंधित सभी परियोजनाओं पर दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा तीन हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक खर्च करने का अनुमान लगाया गया है।
राजधानी में निजी स्कूलों की मनमानी और फीस बढ़ोत्तरी पर सरकार और हाईकोर्ट द्वारा की गई कार्रवाई की कल दिल्ली सरकार में शिक्षा मंत्री आशीष सूद ने जानकारी दी। एक प्रेसवार्ता में श्री सूद ने बताया कि कहा है कि दिल्ली के इतिहास में पहली बार जिला अधिकारी स्तर की समीति बनाई गई हैं, जिससे बच्चों और अभिभावकों को बड़ी राहत मिली है। उन्होंने बताया कि दिल्ली सरकार ने 11 स्कूलों के खिलाफ नोटिस जारी किया है।
दिल्ली सरकार में गृह-मंत्री आशीष सूद ने कल दिल्ली सचिवालय में शहरी विकास विभाग की बजट-पश्चात कार्य योजना की समीक्षा की। श्री सूद ने बताया है कि इस दौरान दिल्ली में शहरी परिवर्तन को गति देने के लिए प्रमुख पहलों और कार्यान्वयन रणनीतियों पर उपयोगी चर्चा हुई।
दिल्ली विधानसभा के आगामी सत्र की कार्यवाही पूर्ण रूप से कागज़मुक्त होगी। यह जानकारी कल दिल्ली विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष विजेंद्र गुप्ता ने दी। श्री गुप्ता ने कहा है कि दिल्ली विधानसभा में नेशनल ई-विधान एप्लीकेशन-NEVA क्रियान्वयन के अंतर्गत नवीनतम तकनीकी पर आधारित सॉफ्टवेयर और ऐप का प्रयोग किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि जुलाई में प्रस्तावित विधानसभा का सत्र पूरी तरह से कागज रहित होगा।
जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया में कल कुलपति प्रोफेसर मजहर आसिफ ने मनोविज्ञान विभाग में नवनिर्मित मानसिक स्वास्थ्य संवर्धन इकाई का उद्घाटन किया। मानसिक स्वास्थ्य संवर्धन इकाई की स्थापना नवंबर 2024 में हैदराबाद में आयोजित प्रथम राष्ट्रीय कल्याण सम्मेलन की सिफारिशों पर की गई है।

Karnataka Chief Minister – Siddaramaiah launched ‘Anubhava Mantapa- Basava Sharana festival’ in Bengaluru yesterday to promote the thinking of 12th Century social reformer – Basavanna and popularise Vachana literature of Sharanas.
A chariot carrying the messages and philosophy of Jagat Jyoti Basaveshwara will traverse across the state. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Basavanna lived for the society and devoted his life for the social reforms including social equity. He mentioned that Basavanna perceived Anubhava Mantapa, a parliamentary democracy model in 12th Century itself, where issues were discussed threadbare by members and a majority decision was taken. This can be termed as the world’s first Parliament, where people of all religious denominations and castes had the rights to participate in the discussion.

The Central Water Commission (CWC) has convened a crucial meeting, which is scheduled for 21st of this month in New Delhi to address water yield concerns over the Godavari River allocations.
The agenda focuses on resolving objections raised by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regarding water allocations for projects initiated and proposed by the respective States.
Following the submission of the water availability assessment study of the Godavari River by the CWC 2023, the Godavari River Management Board was asked to respond while Andhra Pradesh has expressed some objections to the findings.
As per the CWC’s projections, water allocation for the erstwhile undivided Andhra Pradesh was pegged at 1,435 thousand million cubic feet, slightly below the claim of 1,486 thousand million cubic feet. With the yields from the regeneration sources considered, the availability will be about 1,500 thousand million cubic feet.
For the Polavaram project in Andhra Pradesh, the study estimated a net availability of 498 thousand million cubic feet, marginally exceeding the project’s requirement of 484 thousand million cubic feet.

हिन्दी सिनेमा की प्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री थीं। जिन्होंने अभिनय की यात्रा का सात दशक लंबा सफर तय किया। मूक फ़िल्मों की मौन भाषा से लेकर बोलती फ़िल्मों के वाचाल जादू के दौर को उन्होंने देखा। भारतीय सिनेमा को परवान चढ़ते देखा। ललिता ने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत बाल-कलाकार की तरह आर्यन फ़िल्म कंपनी के साथ की।
भारतीय नारी का जीवन जीते हुए एक संजीदा कलाकार, ललिता पवार सिनेमा को कई यादगार फ़िल्में दीं। ‘जंगली’ की सख्त मां, ‘श्री 420’ की केला बेचने वाली, ‘आनंद’ की संवेदनशील मातृछवि और ‘अनाड़ी’ की मिसेज डिसूजा सहित अनेक चरित्रों की जीवंत छवियों को कैसे भूला जा सकता है। रामानन्द सागर द्वारा निर्मित ‘रामायण’ धारावाहिक में मंथरा की भूमिका को सजीव भी ललिता पवार ने ही बनाया था।

ललिता पवार ने लगभग 600 फ़िल्मों में काम किया और ‘शो मस्ट गो ऑन’ की भावना को जिया। उन्हें फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार, सर्वश्रेष्ठ सहायक अभिनेत्री, संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।

आज भारतीय सिनेमा की जानीमानी अभिनेत्री दुलारी की जयंती है। हिंदी सिनेमा में मां का ज़िक़्र होते ही दुर्गा खोटे, ललिता पवार, लीला चिटनिस और सुलोचना जैसी अभिनेत्रियों के चेहरे ज़हन में घूमने लगते हैं। इसी सूची में एक नाम है दुलारी का, जिन्हें आमतौर पर दर्शक एक सीधी-सादी और ग़रीब फ़िल्मी मां के तौर पर जानते हैं। दुलारी ने भी शुरुआती कुछ फ़िल्में बतौर हिरोईन और साईड हिरोईन की थीं और ‘आना मेरी जान मेरी जान संडे के संडे’ और ‘जवानी की रेल चली जाए’ जैसे ज़बर्दस्त हिट गीत भी दुलारी पर ही फ़िल्माए गए थे। 1941 में आई बॉम्बे टॉकीज़’ की मशहूर फ़िल्म ‘झूला’ दुलारी की पहली फ़िल्म थी,
