इस अवसर पर प्रधानमंत्री ने अभनपुर-रायपुर रेलखंड पर एमईएमयू ट्रेन सेवा का भी उदघाटन किया।

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced that the extension of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) for another six months in parts of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland, starting tomorrow. In Manipur, AFSPA will continue in all districts except for those under the jurisdiction of 13 police stations in five districts – Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, and Kakching. The state has been grappling with ethnic violence since May 2023.
The law has also been extended in eight districts of Nagaland and parts of five others, while in Arunachal Pradesh, AFSPA applies to Tirap, Changlang, Longding districts, and certain areas in Namsai district.
The decision follows a review of the law and order situations in these regions, where the AFSPA has been in place to address security concerns. Manipur has been under President’s Rule since February 13, following ongoing ethnic violence.

उत्तराखंड में श्री गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट इस वर्ष अक्षय तृतीया यानी 30 अप्रैल को सुबह साढ़े दस बजे खुलेंगे। इसी दिन श्री यमुनोत्री धाम के कपाट भी खुलेंगे जिसका समय मंदिर समिति द्वारा 3 अप्रैल को यमुना जयंती पर घोषित किया जाएगा।
श्री बद्रीनाथ धाम के कपाट 4 मई को प्रातः 6 बजे और श्री केदारनाथ धाम के कपाट 2 मई को प्रातः 7 बजे खुलेंगे। यमुनोत्री, गंगोत्री, केदारनाथ और बद्रीनाथ– उत्तराखंड के चार प्रमुख धाम हैं। प्रतिवर्ष लगभग अक्टूबर-नवंबर के आसपास छह महीने के लिए इन मंदिरों के कपाट बंद हो जाते हैं और अप्रैल-मई के दौरान गर्मियों में खुलते हैं।
चारधाम यात्रा यमुनोत्री से गंगोत्री और केदारनाथ होते हुए बद्रीनाथ में समाप्त होती है।

US President Donald Trump has threatened Iran with bombings and secondary tariffs if Tehran does not come to an agreement with Washington over its nuclear program. In a telephone interview with NBC News, Trump said US and Iranian officials are talking but did not elaborate. In his first 2017-21 term, Trump withdrew the US from a 2015 deal between Iran and world powers that placed strict limits on Tehran’s disputed nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief. Trump also reimposed sweeping US sanctions. Since then Iran has far surpassed the agreed limits in its escalating program of uranium enrichment. Tehran has so far rebuffed Trump’s warning to make a deal or face military consequences. Iran sent a response through Oman to Trump’s letter in which he urged Tehran to reach a new nuclear deal. Western powers accuse Iran of having an clandestine agenda to develop nuclear weapons capability by enriching uranium to a high level of fissile purity, above what they say is justifiable for a civilian atomic energy program. Tehran says its nuclear program is wholly for civilian energy purposes.

राष्ट्रपति और उप-राष्ट्रपति ने लोगों को ईद की शुभकामनाएं दी हैं। राष्ट्रपति दौपदी मुर्मु ने कहा कि ईद-उल-फितर रोजा और इबादत के पूरा होने का त्योहार है। उन्होंने आशा व्यक्त की है कि यह पर्व शांति, प्रगति और खुशहाली लेकर आएगा तथा सकारात्मक सोच के साथ आगे बढने की शक्ति प्रदान करेगा।

While Deepak Punia won Silver in the Men’s freestyle 92kg weight category, Udit bagged Silver in 61kg weight division. Dinesh defeated Turkmenistan’s Zyyamuhammet Saparov in 125 kg category to win a bronze medal. With this, India secured a total of 10 medals including one gold, three silver and six bronze at the event.
Next we have from IPL Cricket, where Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 6 runs at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati last night. Senthamarai Kannan, Director of Regional Weather Forecasting Centre has said that the rain activity may start in the southern Tamil Nadu next week, and by April, there could be thunderstorm activity in northern Tamil Nadu.

Madras Veterinary College organised a three-day training programme on ‘Further Processing and Value Addition of Meat’. The training includes the significance of processing in the meat industry, types, preparation, determination of the cost price of meat products, government schemes and subsidies, and loans available for meat processing. The training also included the demonstration of preparing meat items and it was attended by 24 trainees from across the state.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने शहर में अवैध रूप से रह रहे दो बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने बताया कि यह भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा के पास नदी के रास्ते अवैध रूप से देश में घुसे थे और पहचान से बचने के लिए विभिन्न स्थानों पर रह रहे थे। इस मामले में निर्वासन प्रक्रिया, विदेशी पंजीकरण कार्यालय- एफआरआरओ की दिल्ली शाखा की सहायता से शुरू हो गई है।

The Ugadi festival was celebrated with religious fervour across the Karnataka yesterday. It marks the beginning of a new year in the state. The day also marks the changing of seasons from winter to spring. After the oil bath and decorating the house with mango leaves and rangoli, reading of the panchang or almanac is a ritual. It is also a ritual to prepare a mix of jaggery and neem flowers and have it after the puja. It denotes that one must accept good and bad with equal measure. Preparing dishes such as Holige, Ambode, raw mango rice and payasa or kheer is a must. The temples arranged special puja and arati yesterday. The Bull temple in Bengaluru, Chamundeshwari temple in Mysuru, Kukke Subramanya temple in Dakshina Kannada district among others organised special events on the day of Ugadi.

गुड़ी पड़वा के अवसर पर कल मुंबई का पहला एलिवेटेड नेचर ट्रेल वॉकवे पर्यटकों के लिए खोला गया। महाराष्ट्र के कौशल विकास, रोजगार, उद्यमिता और नवाचार मंत्री मंगल प्रभात लोढ़ा ने वॉकवे का उद्घाटन किया। यह ट्रेल कमला नेहरू पार्क से मालाबार हिल के वन क्षेत्रों से होकर गुज़रती है और गिरगांव चौपाटी के पास अरब सागर के मनोरम दृश्य के साथ समाप्त होती है। बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम (बीएमसी) द्वारा विकसित यह परियोजना सिंगापुर के ट्रीटॉप वॉकवे से प्रेरित है। स्थानीय लोगों के लिए टिकट की कीमत ₹25 और विदेशी पर्यटकों के लिए ₹100 है। आगंतुकों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए एक एक्सेस कंट्रोल सिस्टम और आपातकालीन निकास मार्ग लागू किए गए हैं।

मुंबई पुलिस ने मुंबई इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट के फ्री फ्लाइट जोन में पैराग्लाइडिंग, गुब्बारे उड़ाने और प्रकाश उत्सर्जित करने वाली वस्तुओं के इस्तेमाल पर 60 दिनों का प्रतिबंध लगा दिया है। अधिकारियों ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि इन वस्तुओं से विमान की लैंडिंग, टेक-ऑफ या अन्य विमानन संचालन में बाधा नहीं आनी चाहिए। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि हवाई क्षेत्र में गुब्बारे उड़ रहे थे और विमानों पर लेजर किरणें पड़ रही थीं, खास तौर पर जुहू एयरोड्रोम और नौसेना एयर स्टेशन आईएनएस शिकरा के पास, जिससे विमानन सुरक्षा को खतरा पैदा हो रहा था। ये प्रतिबंध 31 मार्च से 29 मई तक प्रभावी रहेंगे। पुलिस ने चेतावनी दी कि उल्लंघन करने वालों पर कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

The Telangana government has launched the scheme to distribute fine rice at free of cost to the poor through ration shops. Launching the programme formally at a public meeting at Huzurnagar in Suryapet district coinciding with Ugadi festival, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy claimed that the landmark initiative is aimed at ensuring food security with dignity and it is the country’s first scheme to distribute fine rice free of cost. The state government will supply 6 kilograms of fine rice per person per month at free of cost through the Public Distribution System (PDS) to all eligible ration cardholders, starting tomorrow. The scheme is expected to benefit over three crore people, accounting for nearly 85 percent of the state population.
Speaking at the occasion, The Chief Minister called the scheme ‘historic,’ declaring that the days of the poor eating inferior rice were over. He emphasised that coarse rice distributed earlier was rejected by beneficiaries, leading to rampant misuse. He added that the government is ensuring that the intended beneficiaries actually consume the grain and are not forced to sell it by offering fine rice.

अब नमन और स्मरण करते हैं उन महान लोगों को जिनका आज जयंती, पुण्य तिथि और जन्म दिन है।
पुण्य तिथि- श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा (4 अक्टूबर, 1857-31 मार्च, 1930) श्रोताओं भारत वह देश है जिसने वर्ष 1947 से पहले जिस पराधीनता का अभिशाप झेला हम उसकी कल्पना भी वर्तमान में नहीं कर सकते। इसी पराधीनता से देश को मुक्ति दिलाने में असह्य पीड़ा सहते हुए लाखों की संख्या में देश के सपूतों ने अपना सर्वस्व गँवा दिया।
श्याम जी कृष्ण वर्मा उन्हीं वीर सपूतों में एक थे। स्वामी दयानंद सरस्वती के सान्निध्य में संस्कृत व वेद-शास्त्रों का ज्ञान प्राप्त किया। 1885 से 1889 के बीच तत्कालीन रतलाम के दीवान पद पर रहे। श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा ऑक्सफोर्ड विश्वविद्यालय से 1883 में बी.ए. की डिग्री प्राप्त करने वाले प्रथम भारतीय थे। अंग्रेज़ी शासन को हटाने के लिए विदेशों में भारतीय युवाओं को एकजुट और प्रेरित करने वाले भी वह पहले भारतीय थे। श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा भारत की स्वतंत्रता लिए “सरकार से असहयोग” को प्रमुख साधन समझते थे। वे कहा करते थे कि यदि भारतीय, विदेशी हुकूमत को सहयोग देना बंद कर दें तो अंग्रेज़ी शासन एक ही रात में धराशायी हो सकता है।
उनका दावा था कि भारतीय जनता की लूट और हत्या करने के लिए सबसे अधिक संगठित गिरोह अंग्रेज़ों का ही है। उनका मानना था कि हमारी कार्रवाई का प्रमुख साधन रक्तरंजित नहीं है, किन्तु बहिष्कार का उपाय है। उनकी इच्छा थी कि उनके शरीर त्यागने के बाद उनकी अस्थियों को मातृ भूमि मिले। 31 मार्च, 1930 को जिनेवा में उनका निधन हुआ। लेकिन उनकी अंतिम इच्छा पूरी हुई उनकी मृत्यु के 73 वर्ष बाद जब 2003 में उनकी अस्थियां देश की धरती पर लाई गईं।

Newton was a key figure in the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment that followed.His book Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy), first published in 1687, achieved the first great unification in physics and established classical mechanics. Newton also made seminal contributions to optics, and shares credit with German mathematician Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz for formulating infinitesimal calculus, though he developed calculus years before Leibniz. जन्म दिन- गुरु अंगद देव (31 मार्च, 1504 ; 28 मार्च, 1552) सिक्खों के दूसरे गुरु – गुरू अंगद देव का आज जन्म दिवस है। गुरु नानक के बाद सिक्खों के दूसरे गुरु अंगद देव इस पद पर 7 सितम्बर, 1539 से 28 मार्च, 1552 तक रहे। गुरु अंगद देव महाराज जी में ऐसी अध्यात्मिक क्रियाशीलता थी, जिससे पहले वे एक सच्चे सिख और फिर एक महान् गुरु बने। गुरु अंगद देव ‘लहिणा जी’ भी कहलाते हैं। ये पंजाबी लिपि गुरुमुखी के जन्मदाता हैं, जिसमें सिक्खों की पवित्र पुस्तक आदिग्रंथ के कई हिस्से लिखे गए। ईश्वरीय गुणों से भरपूर महान् और प्रभावशाली व्यक्तित्व के स्वामी थे गुरु अंगद देव।
गुरु नानक देव जी ने अपने पुत्रों को नहीं बल्कि गुरु अंगद देव को अपना उत्तराधिकारी इसलिए बनाया क्योंकि वे उनकी कसौटी पर खरे उतरे। वह लगभग 7 वर्ष तक गुरु नानक देव के साथ रहे और उनके बाद उन्होंने सिख पंथ की गद्दी सभाली। उन्होंने खडूर साहिब को धर्म प्रचार का केन्द्र बनाया और गुरू नानक देव की वाणी का लेखन किया। जाति-पाति के भेद से हट कर लंगर प्रथा चलाई, मल्लों के अखाड़े खोले, हुमायूँ का अहंकार तोड़ा, पंजाबी भाषा का प्रचार शुरू किया, गुरुमुखी की स्वतन्त्र लिपि दी, गुरु नानक देव की जीवनी लिखी और बाबा अमर दास को गद्दी दे कर अपने सांसारिक उत्तरदायित्वों से मुक्त हो गये।

James Cleveland “Jesse” Owens (September 12, 1913 – March 31, 1980) was an American track and field athlete who won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympic Games.Owens specialized in the sprints and the long jump and was recognized in his lifetime as “perhaps the greatest and most famous athlete in track and field history”.He set three world records and tied another, all in less than an hour, at the 1935 Big Ten track meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a feat that has never been equaled and has been called “the greatest 45 minutes ever in sport”. He achieved international fame at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, by winning four gold medals: 100 meters, long jump, 200 meters, and 4 × 100-meter relay. He was the most successful athlete at the Games and, as a black American man, was credited by ESPN with “single-handedly crushing Hitler’s myth of Aryan supremacy”.[6]The Jesse Owens Award is USA Track & Field’s highest accolade for the year’s best track and field athlete. Owens was ranked by ESPN as the sixth-greatest North American athlete of the 20th century and the highest-ranked in his sport. In 1999, he was on the six-man short-list for the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Century.
John Donne (/dʌn/ DUN; 1571 or 1572 – 31 March 1631) was an English poet, scholar, soldier and secretary born into a recusant family, who later became a cleric in the Church of England.[2] Under Royal Patronage, he was made Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral in London (1621–1631).[1] He is considered the preeminent representative of the metaphysical poets. He is also known for his sermons.Donne’s style is characterised by abrupt openings and various paradoxes, ironies and dislocations. These features, along with his frequent dramatic or everyday speech rhythms, his tense syntax and his tough eloquence, were both a reaction against the smoothness of conventional Elizabethan poetry and an adaptation into English of European baroque and mannerist techniques.

पुण्य तिथि-मीना कुमारी- (1 अगस्त, 1933- 31 मार्च, 1972) अपने दौर की मशहूर भारतीय अदाकारा महजबीं बानो को भी हम याद कर रहे हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने आज ही के दिन इस दुनिया से रूखसत ली। दुखांत कहानी वाली फ़िल्मों में इनकी यादगार भूमिकाओं के लिये याद की जाने वाली इस अदाकारा का फिल्मी पर्दे पर नाम था मीना कुमारी। मीना कुमारी ने वर्ष 1939 से 1972 तक काम किया।
मीना कुमारी का फिल्मी सफ़र 1952 में आई फिल्म बैजू बावरा से शुरू हुआ। उन्हें इसी फिल्म के लिए पहली सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री का फिल्मफेयर पुरस्कार मिला।
मीना कुमारी की दायरा, दो बीघा ज़मीन और परिणीता भी उनकी चर्चित फिल्मों में से हैं। उनके अभिनय की खास शैली और मोहक आवाज़ का जादू छाया रहा और लगातार दूसरी बार उन्हें सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री के पुरस्कार के लिए चयनित किया गया।
1962: साहिब बीबी और गुलाम ने चार फिल्मफेयर पुरस्कार जीते, जिसमें सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री का पुरस्कार भी शामिल है। साहिब बीबी और गुलाम को ऑस्कर में भारत की आधिकारिक प्रविष्टि के लिए चुना गया था। भारतीय सिने जगत की मील का पत्थर कही जाने वाली फ़िल्म पाक़ीज़ा लगभग 14 वर्षों में बनी। पाकीज़ा के रिलीज़ के तीन हफ़्ते बाद मीना कुमारी ने महज़ 38 वर्ष की उम्र में इस दुनिया से रुखसत ले ली।
