The National Commission for Women (NCW) has said that it will open a Premarital Counseling Centre in every district of the country. Talking to the media in Patna, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar said this is a new initiative of the commission launched on International Women’s Day this year. She said, 23 such centres have been opened in 11 states so far. The Chairperson said, these counseling centres will be opened at government spaces and it will be operated under the supervision of district or municipal bodies.
Mrs. Rahtakar said these pre-marital centres will help those couples who are going to tie the knot. The Chairperson said at the centre counsel will provide help regarding social psychology and behavioral aspects of marriage. She added that rising marital disputes, divorce cases, failure marriages are issue of concern as joint families are disintegrating into nuclear families.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that India and China are trying to rebuild the ties damaged by the Galwan valley clashes of 2020 as a tense relationship will not serve either side. Dr. Jaishankar said, differences should not become disputes and competition should not become conflict. He made this remark while speaking on India-China relations in a conversation with Dr. Kyung-wha Kang, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Society, in New Delhi.
Dr. Jaishankar emphasized that since October last year, relations between the two countries have seen some improvement, with both nations working on various aspects of their ties. He said that India and China do compete on many issues, but because they compete doesn’t mean that there should be a conflict between the two countries. He also pointed to foundational shift, with change in American position, rise of China.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir today. Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is also expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and some parts of Punjab today. Light to moderate rainfall will continue in Ladakh as well. The IMD has also forecast heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh tomorrow and Saturday. IMD Scientist Dr. Soma Sen Roy said, hot and humid weather conditions will prevail in isolated areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam over the next three days.
According to the IMD, maximum temperatures are expected to rise gradually by two to three degrees Celsius over the plains of Northwest India during the next two days and then fall by three to five degrees Celsius thereafter. Odisha is expected to witness a heatwave on Saturday and Sunday.

The male jungle cat rescued by Forest Department from Muttukaadu in October last year has recovered from injuries and has been released into Guindy National Park. The cat’s survival and movements continue to be monitored through GPS Radio telemetry by using a tracking application with signals being received every 8 to 12 hours. The cat is five years old and weighs around seven kilograms. Forest staff had found the feline in a recumbent state and X Rays revealed potential injuries to its pelvis and spine. After treatment the cat exhibited natural wild behaviour strong instincts which were crucial in assessing it’s ability to survive in the wild. Forest teams and veys are closely monitoring it’s behaviour and the ability to hunt.

दिल्ली विधानसभा बजट सत्र की कार्यवाही अब दो दिन के लिए बढ़ा दी गई है। अब सदन की कार्यवाही 2 अप्रैल तक जारी रहेगी। दिल्ली विधानसभा के चल रहे बजट सत्र के तीसरे दिन सदन में आज बजट 2025-26 पर चर्चा की गई।
दिल्ली विधानसभा में कल विधायकों के मानदेय बढ़ाने की माँग की गई है। अध्यक्ष विजेंद्र गुप्ता ने इन मांगों को पूरा करने के लिए पांच सदस्यीय समिति का गठन किया है। इस समिति में आम आदमी पार्टी के दो सदस्य भी होंगे। यह समिति 15 दिनों में अपनी रिपोर्ट सौपेंगी।
नमो भारत के यात्री अपने लॉयल्टी पॉइंट्स के जरिए अब मुफ़्त यात्रा कर सकते हैं। राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र परिवहन निगम-एनसीआरटीसी द्वारा हाल ही में शुरू किए गए लॉयल्टी पॉइंट्स प्रोग्राम के अंतर्गत यात्री यह लाभ उठा सकते हैं। यात्री नमो भारत ऐप के माध्यम से नेशनल कॉमन मोबिलिटी कार्ड – एनसीएमसी का उपयोग करके यात्रा करने पर हर बार लॉयल्टी पॉइंट अर्जित कर रहे हैं।

The South Western Railways General Manager Mukul Saran Mathur inspected ongoing projects at various railway stations in the Zone yesterday. He reviewed the station redevelopment and yard remodelling plans at the KSR Bengaluru railway station. The plan proposes to improve passenger experience and operational efficiency.
The Bengaluru Divisional manager Amitesh Kumar Sinha briefed him about the upgradation plans to meet growing passenger demand and the operational challenges. Thereafter the General Manager of the Zone inspected Yesvantpur railway station, Cantt and Viveshvarayya station in the state capital. He sought details on the projects undertaken by the Gati Shakti unit that will significantly improve connectivity and streamline train services in the region. In a meeting with the officials of Construction organisations such as K Ride and RLDA, Mr Mathur took stock of the overall infrastructure and services works to improve the railway network.

आरबीआई ने एमपीसी बैठक कार्यक्रम की घोषणा की
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने 2025-2026 के लिए मौद्रिक नीति समिति की बैठक की घोषणा कर दी है। इसके अनुसार, पहली बैठक 7 अप्रैल से होगी और नीति की घोषणा 9 अप्रैल को होगी। इसके बाद, बैठकें 4-6 जून, 5-7 अगस्त, 29 सितंबर से 1 अक्टूबर, 3-5 दिसंबर और 4-6 फरवरी 2026 के बीच होंगी।

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced plans to appoint a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate cases related to online betting apps, including rummy. He made this announcement in the Assembly yesterday, saying that the existing law aimed at curbing this menace will be amended if required, and comprehensive measures will be put in place to address the issue that is ruining the lives of many innocent people.
During the discussion on the demands for grants relating to the Home ministry, the Chief Minister, who also holds Home Minister portfolio, said the government will take stringent measures to check digital betting platforms. He also said, such activities are evolving the international criminal network. He accused the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government of failing to implement an act passed during their rule in 2017 to curb online gambling and betting.

आज पुण्यतिथि है पंडित कांशीराम की। पंडित कांशीराम ग़दर पार्टी के प्रमुख नेता और देश की स्वाधीनता के लिए अपने प्राण न्यौछावर कर दिये थे। मैट्रिक पास करने के बाद उन्होंने तार भेजने प्राप्त करने का काम सीखा और कुछ दिन अंबाला और दिल्ली में नौकरी की। इसके बाद वे अमेरिका चले गए। वे ‘इंडियन एसोसिएशन ऑफ अमेरिका’ और ‘इंडियन इंडिपैंडेंट लीग’ में शामिल हो गए। उनके ऊपर लाला हरदयाल का बहुत प्रभाव पड़ा। वे संगठन भारत को अंग्रेजों की चुंगल से छुड़ाने के लिए बनाए गए थे। 1913 में पंडित कांशीराम ‘ग़दर पार्टी’ के कोषाध्यक्ष बन गए। जिस समय यूरोप में प्रथम विश्वयुद्ध के बादल मंडरा रहे थे, ग़दर पार्टी ने निश्चय किया कि कुछ लोगों को अमेरिका से भारत वापस जाना चाहिए। वे वहां जाकर भारतीय सेना में अंग्रेजों के विरुद्ध भावनाएँ भड़काएँ। इसी योजना के अंतर्गत पंडित कांशीराम भी भारत आए। उन्होंने सेना की कई छावनियों की यात्रा की और सैनिकों को अंग्रेजों की सत्ता उखाड़ फेंकने के लिए प्रेरित किया। कांशीराम और उनके साथियों ने अपने कार्य के लिए धन जुटाने के उद्देश्य से मोगा का सरकारी कोषागार लूटने का असफल प्रयत्न भी किया। इसी सिलसिले में एक सब इंस्पेक्टर और एक जिलेदार इनकी गोलियों से मारे गए। कांशीराम और उनके साथी पकड़े गए, मुकदमा चला और 27 मार्च, 1915 को कांशीराम को फाँसी दे दी गई।

Priya Rajvansh (30 December 1936 – 27 March 2000), She had made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the film, Haqeeqat in 1964, but she is remembered for portraying the role of ‘Heer’ in her 1970 film, Heer Ranjha.
During this period, Priya had acted in several English plays in Shimla’s noted Gaiety Theatre. Later, she joined the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, UK.

प्रिया राजवंश जब नाटकों में काम करती थीं, तभी एक फोटोग्राफर ने उनकी फोटोज खींची। चेतन आनंद ने अपने एक दोस्त के घर यह तस्वीर देखी तो वह प्रिया राजवंश की खूबसूरती के क़ायल हो गए। उन दिनों चेतन आनंद को अपनी नई फ़िल्म के लिए नए चेहरे की तलाश थी। 20 अक्टूबर, 1962 को चीन ने देश पर हमला कर दिया था। हिंदुस्तानी फौज को भारी नुक़सान हुआ था और फौज को पीछे हटना पड़ा। इस थीम पर चेतन आनंद हक़ीक़त नाम से फ़िल्म बनाना चाहते थे। उन्होंने प्रिया राजवंश से संपर्क किया और उन्हें फ़िल्म की नायिका के लिए चुन लिया गया।

आज ही पुण्यतिथि है यूरी गागरिन की। यूरी गागरिन भूतपूर्व सोवियत संघ के विमान चालक और अंतरिक्षयात्री थे। 12 अप्रैल, 1961 को अंतरिक्ष में जाने वाले प्रथम व्यक्ति थे। इन्होंने पृथ्वी का एक चक्कर लगाकर अंतरिक्ष में मानव उड़ान के युग की शुरुआत की थी।

His vehicle, Vostok 1 circled Earth at a speed of 27,400 kilometers per hour with the flight lasting 108 minutes. Vostok’s reentry was controlled by a computer. Unlike the early U.S. human spaceflight programs, Gagarin did not land inside of capsule. Instead, he ejected from the spacecraft and landed by parachute.
अन्तरिक्ष की यात्रा करने के बाद यूरी गागरीन अंतरराष्ट्रीय सेलेब्रिटी बन चुके थे। 1968 जब वे मिग 15 (MiG-15) नामक प्रशिक्षण विमान का संचालक कर रहे थे तो, विमान के दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने के कारण उनकी मृत्यु हो गयी।
