Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reaffirmed Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Replying to a discussion on the working of the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Rajya Sabha yesterday, Mr Shah said, in the past ten years, the government has strengthened the security of the nation through political will and use of technology. He pointed out that country was facing three major challenges in the past which hindered country’s progress and development – terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Left Wing Extremism and insurgency in North East. The Home Minister emphasized that naxalism in India will be eliminated by March next year. He also said that after coming to power, Modi Government held formal talks with all armed outfits in the Northeast. He stated that from 2019 till date, 12 important peace accords have been signed. He informed the House that 10 thousand 900 youth have given up arms and joined the mainstream. On drugs, the Home Minister informed the House that in last five years, 23 thousand kilograms of synthetic drugs worth over 14 thousand crore rupees have been destroyed.

हीथ्रो आग
ब्रिटेन के हीथ्रो हवाई अड्डे से उड़ानें फिर शुरू कर दी गई हैं। पास के बिजलीघर में आग लगने और बिजली कटने के कारण यूरोप के सबसे व्यस्त अड्डे को बंद कर दिया गया था। इससे अनेक यात्रियों को परेशानी का सामना करना पडा़।
लंदन के मुख्य हवाई अड्डे के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि विमान संचालन फिर शुरू करने के लिए उसकी टीमों ने अथक प्रयास किए। हीथ्रो हवाई अड्डे के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी थॉमस वर्ल्डबाई ने कहा कि आज से विमानों का संचालन पूरी तरह से शुरू हो जाएगा।
हजारों उडानों का संचालन ठप होने के अलावा बिजली कटने से व्यापक परेशानी हुई और आसपास के अनेक घर तथा स्थानीय कारोबारी भी प्रभावित हुए।
इस बीच, लंदन अग्निशमन दल ने जानकारी दी है कि हीथ्रो हवाई अड्डे के पास अब हालात नियंत्रण में हैं।
महानगर पुलिस के आतंकरोधी अधिकारी आग लगने के कारणों की जांच कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि फिलहाल किसी ऐसी स्थिति का अंदेशा नहीं है लेकिन इसकी पूरी जांच के बाद ही स्थिति स्पष्ट होगी।
हीथ्रो नियमित रूप से विश्व के पांच सबसे व्यस्त हवाई अड्डों में शामिल रहा है। यहां से विश्व के 90 देशों और क्षेत्रों के 200 से अधिक हवाई अड्डों के लिए उडानें संचालित की जाती हैं। पिछले वर्ष यहां से रिकार्ड लगभग आठ करोड़ 40 लाख यात्रियों से उडान भरी थी।

Talking to media in the presence of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at the Oval office last night, President Trump said, F-47s will be the most advanced, capable and lethal aircraft ever built. He said, United States will sell a toned-down version of the aircarft to certain allies.
The announcement is seen as a major blow to Lockheed Martin, Boeing’s main competitor and maker of the high-profile F-35 and F-22 Raptor fighter jets.

The Greater Chennai Corporation has decided to rename Ramakrishnapuram 1st Street in West Mambalam the residential street of former Indian cricketer R.Ashwin in his honour. The decision came after reviewing of the Ramakrishnapuram.Ashwin , a Chennai native and one of India’s top Wicket takers in tests, is known for his match winning spells and continues to contribute to the game by training students from the City’s Corporation schools in Cricket.He is also set to play for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming IPL season.

महाराष्ट्र शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2025-26 से सीबीएसई को अपनाएगा: शिक्षा मंत्री भुसे
महाराष्ट्र के स्कूली शिक्षा मंत्री दादा भुसे ने शुक्रवार को घोषणा की कि राज्य शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2025-26 से केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड-सीबीएसई पाठ्यक्रम को अपनाएगा। मुंबई में मीडिया से बातचीत में श्री भुसे ने बताया कि सीबीएसई पैटर्न दो चरणों में लागू किया जाएगा। वर्तमान में, महाराष्ट्र राज्य माध्यमिक और उच्चतर माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड-एमएसबीएसएचई, कक्षा 10 एसएससी और 12वीं कक्षा एचएससी की परीक्षाएं आयोजित करता है।
पहले चरण में, सीबीएसई को स्टैंडर्ड 1 में पेश किया जाएगा, और अगले वर्ष, शिक्षकों और शिक्षा अधिकारियों को नए पैटर्न में प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा। दूसरे चरण में, सीबीएसई पाठ्यक्रम को शेष सभी कक्षाओं में लागू किया जाएगा। श्री भुसे ने आश्वासन दिया कि महाराष्ट्र का इतिहास, भूगोल और मराठी भाषा पाठ्यक्रम का अभिन्न अंग बने रहेंगे।
महाराष्ट्र में राजस्व सुनवाई डिजिटल
डिजिटल शासन की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए, महाराष्ट्र के राजस्व विभाग ने ‘प्रत्यय’ नामक एक कागज रहित संशोधन और अपील प्रणाली शुरू की है। राजस्व मंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुले ने मुंबई में इस प्रणाली का उद्घाटन किया, जिसमें उन्होंने इस बात का उल्लेख किया कि मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस इस प्रणाली को लागू करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं।

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has announced formation of a team that will prevent pollution of and encroachment on Cauvery river bank. He was speaking to the media persons at Bhagamandala, where it is believed that Cauvery river is born. He further added that the Government will launch aarti ceremony at Cauvery river bank to send a message of water conservation. The funds are earmarked for the aarti ceremony and the frequency will be determined in the days to come. Shivakumar said that the artists from Kodagu will be invited to be part of the aarti ceremony. He noted that Kodagu provides Cauvery river which is the lifeline of Bengaluru city. Hence, he pointed out that the first aarti must be dedicated to TalaKaveri. He informed that the Government has launched a week long awareness campaign on water conservation. An oath was administered on this occasion to prevent misuse of water.

In Telangana, after a spell of heat wave that raised the temperatures, Hyderabad city has now cooled down with a round of strong thunderstorms across the city. The heat wave that started off ten days ago, subsided gradually with the thunderstorm last night as the city witnessed rains in many parts.
Several areas of Hyderabad, including Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills among others received substantial rainfall with a strong downpour. Yashwant Vithoba Chittal, among the most important Kannada writers of the 20th century, was born in 1928 in Hanehalli, a small coastal village in Uttara Kannada. Hanehalli formed the background for Chittal’s stories, in much the same way that Malgudi did for RK Narayan’s stories.
Yashwant Vithoba Chittal, a natural and meticulous storyteller who is among the most important Kannada writers of the 20th century, had published two collections of short stories before he came out with his first novel.
Like many of his short stories, his works were inspired by his own boyhood and youth.

आज जयंती है मास्टरदा सूर्य सेन की। (जन्म- 22 मार्च, 1894, चटगाँव, अविभाजित बंगाल, ब्रिटिश भारत; मृत्यु- 12 जनवरी, 1934, बंगाल, आज़ाद भारत) वे भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए संघर्ष करने वाले प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारियों और अमर शहीदों में गिने जाते हैं। भारत भूमि पर अनेकों शहीदों ने क्रांति की वेदी पर अपने प्राणों की आहुति देकर आज़ादी की राहों को रोशन किया है। इन्हीं में से एक सूर्य सेन ‘नेशनल हाईस्कूल’ में उच्च स्नातक शिक्षक के रूप में कार्यरत थे, जिस कारण लोग उन्हें प्यार से ‘मास्टर दा’ कहते थे। “चटगाँव आर्मरी रेड” के नायक मास्टर सूर्य सेन ने अंग्रेज़ सरकार को सीधे चुनौती दी थी। सरकार उनकी वीरता और साहस से इस प्रकार हिल गयी थी की जब उन्हें पकड़ा गया, तो उन्हें ऐसी हृदय विदारक व अमानवीय यातनाएँ दी गईं, जिन्हें सुनकर ही रोंगटे खड़े हो जाते हैं।

In 1910 Robert Millikan succeeded in precisely determining the magnitude of the electron’s charge. Small electrically charged drops of oil were suspended between two metal plates where they were subjected to the downward force of gravity and the upward attraction of an electrical field. By measuring how the various drops of oil moved about, Millikan showed that their charge always was a multiple of a precisely determined charge-the electron’s charge.
