The Prime Minister said, the implementation of ‘One nation, One election’ is the commitment of his government. He said, the committee formed under the chairmanship of former President Ram Nath Kovind to prepare the report on ‘One nation, One election’, received very positive and innovative suggestions.
Refuting the opposition parties’ allegations of being targeted by the BJP government, Mr Modi said the maximum number of cases registered by the Enforcement Directorate are against those persons and entities who have no connection with politics. On the other hand, Congress took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interview saying he did not speak about inflation, farmers and unemployment.
उच्चतम न्यायालय ने कल दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की याचिका पर प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) को नोटिस जारी किया। केजरीवाल ने कथित दिल्ली आबकारी नीति घोटाला मामले में ईडी की हिरासत से रिहाई की मांग करते हुए यह याचिका दायर की थी। शीर्ष अदालत 29 अप्रैल को इस मामले की दोबारा सुनवाई करेगी। न्यायालय ने ईडी का जवाब मिलने से पहले अंतरिम रिहाई की उनकी याचिका पर विचार करने से इनकार कर दिया। न्यायमूर्ति संजीव खन्ना और दीपांकर दत्ता की पीठ ने मामले की सुनवाई करते हुए यह आदेश दिया। इसके साथ ही दिल्ली की राउज़ एवेन्यू अदालत ने मुख्यमंत्री की न्यायिक हिरासत 23 अप्रैल तक बढा दी। सुनवाई के दौरान केजरीवाल वर्चुअल कॉन्फ्रेंस के जरिए अदालत के समक्ष पेश हुए। इस दौरान अदालत ने आबकारी नीति घोटाले की सहअभियुक्त के कविता की न्यायिक हिरासत भी 23 अप्रैल तक बढ़ा दी।

In Chennai, the east coast is now under a fishing prohibition, and this past weekend saw a decrease in the amount of fish arriving at Kasimedu Fishing Harbor and other local markets. The amount of fish that fisherman can often catch during the fishing season is up to 10,000 tonnes. According to B. Muthusumaran, secretary of the Deep Sea Fishing Boat Owners Association, fishing will pick up speed for those who choose to go deep sea. After determining whether the boats are carrying any prohibited fishing nets, the fisheries department may grant permission for deep sea vessels.
There are many approaches to spread the word about voting. A Chengalpet restaurant is offering a five percent discount to anyone who meets the age requirement and exercises their franchise. The program, according to district collector S. Arunraj, is meant to motivate people to cast ballots. Additionally, a voter awareness poster campaign was launched.
The External Affairs minister and BJP leader S Jaishankar today underlined the factors that have drawn the global attention towards India. He was speaking after the release of the Kannada version of his book, ‘Why Bharat Matters’ in Bengaluru tonight. He noted that India is today keenly observed globally, not only as an Economic entity with growing market and Consumption but as an important source for global supply chain and skilled technology driven manpower. He said, India is seen as a democracy that can deliver and is also seen as a country that is developing technological capabilities and has evolved a system that can deliver public goods. Jaishankar also noted that it is an era where the reverse of Vasco de Gama is happening when a corridor is proposed from India to middle East and Europe. Telangana Chief Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy has announced that the State government will honour the assurance given for two lakh rupees crop loan waiver by August 15th. He said in one go all the farm loans up to 2 lakh rupees will be waived and give 500 rupees bonus per quintal paddy from next agricultural season. He was addressing a public meeting at Narayanpet yesterday.

कांग्रेस में पार्टी ने भी दिल्ली की लोकसभा सीटों पर अपने उम्मीदवारों के नामों की घोषणा कर दी है।
दिल्ली में लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए आम आदमी पार्टी और कांग्रेस के बीच गठबंधन है, जिसके अंतर्गत कांग्रेस तीन और आम आदमी पार्टी चार सीटों पर चुनाव लड़ रही है।
दिल्ली निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा लोकसभा चुनाव में मतदान प्रतिशत को बढ़ाने के लिए 12 मई को राजधानी में मैराथन दौड़ का आयोजन किया जायेगा। यह दौड़ जवाहर लाल नेहरू स्टेडियम से सुबह छह बजे शुरू होगी और दस किलोमीटर का सफर पूरा कर जवाहर लाल नेहरू स्टेडियम पर ही संपन्न होगी। रास्ते में यह दौड कर्तव्य पथ, जनपथ और खान मार्केट से होकर गुजरेगी। दिल्ली चुनाव कार्यालय ने बताया है कि इस दौड में लगभग 6 हजार लोगों के शामिल होने की संभावना है।
दिल्ली चुनाव आयोग ने अपनी स्वीप पहल के तहत कल राजधानी के बुराडी क्षेत्र में महिलाओं के लिए मतदाता जागरूकता कैंप का आयोजन किया। इस कैंप में महिला मतदाताओं को जागरूक करने के लिए कई गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया। इसके अलावा मतदान संबंधी जानकारी देने के लिए वोटर गाइड बुकलेट भी वितरित किए।
आम आदमी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव (संगठन) डॉ. संदीप पाठक और पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने कल जेल में बंद दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल से मुलाकात की। इस मुलाकात के बाद एक प्रेसवार्ता में डॉ. संदीप पाठक ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री केजरीवाल अगले सप्ताह से दो-दो मंत्रियों को जेल में बुलाकर उनके विभागों और कार्यों की समीक्षा करेंगे। इसके अलावा वह मंत्रियों को काम से संबंधित दिशा निर्देश भी देंगे।
राजधानी के लेडी हार्डिंग मेडिकल कॉलेज और सुचेता कृपलानी अस्पताल में मरीजों की सुविधा के लिए एम.आर.आई की सेवा 24 घंटे कर दी गई है। अस्पताल प्रशासन द्ववारा तीन टेस्ला एम आर आई प्रणाली को पूरी क्षमता के साथ शुरू कर दिया गया है। इसके अलावा, नवनिर्मित केंद्रीय प्रयोगशाला भी पूरी तरह शुरू हो गई है।
आगामी लोकसभा चुनावों में नागरिकों को उचित विकल्प चुनने में मदद करने के प्रयास में, मुंबई के जिला कलेक्टर ने मतदाताओं से नो योर कैंडिडेट – केवाईसी ऐप डाउनलोड करने का आग्रह किया है।
यह ऐप चुनाव आयोग द्वारा विकसित किया गया है। इस ऐप के जरिए मतदाता किसी विशेष निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में चुनाव लड़ रहे सभी उम्मीदवारों की सूची, आपराधिक पृष्ठभूमि, यदि कोई हो, सहित उनका विवरण पा सकते हैं। एंड्रॉइड और आईओएस दोनों प्लेटफॉर्म पर उपलब्ध इस ऐप का उद्देश्य चुनावों में पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही को बढ़ावा देना है। इस बीच, मुंबई में चुनाव होने में एक महीना बचा है,
मतदान की तारीख नजदीक आने के साथ ही मुंबई उपनगरीय जिला कलेक्टर राजेंद्र क्षीरसागर ने अधिकारियों को जागरूकता बढ़ाने का निर्देश दिया है। कल मुंबई में आयोजित एक बैठक में श्री क्षीरसागर ने कहा कि शहर में 20 मई को होने वाले आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव में भाग लेने के लिए लोग 24 अप्रैल तक अपना नाम दर्ज करा सकते हैं। उन्होंने अधिकारियों से मतदान प्रक्रिया के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने और लोगों को बाहर आकर मतदान करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए सोशल मीडिया का उपयोग करने और हाउसिंग सोसायटियों का दौरा करने को कहा है।
मुंबई के कोस्टल रोड को बांद्रा-वर्ली सी लिंक से जोड़ने वाले बो-स्ट्रिंग ब्रिज को इस सप्ताह के अंत में लॉन्च किया जा सकता है।
बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने मुंबई पुलिस अधिकारियों को मुंबई के मालवानी इलाके में आगामी रामनवमी रैली के दौरान किसी भी कानून और व्यवस्था के मुद्दों को रोकने के लिए सभी आवश्यक उपाय करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह देखते हुए कि मलाड-मालवानी क्षेत्र में पिछले साल भी रामनवमी जुलूस के दौरान दंगे हुए थे, पीठ ने राज्य सरकार को यह सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया कि मार्ग बदले जाएं।

और आइये अब पलटते हैं इतिहास के पन्नों को और जानते हैं कि इतिहास में आज के दिन क्या-क्या हुआ।
⦁ 171 साल पहले शुरू हुआ था भारतीय रेल (Indian Railway) का सफर…इतिहास (Aaj Ka Itihas) में आज का दिन भारतीय ट्रेनों को समर्पित है. 16 अप्रैल 1853 को देश में पहली बार ट्रेन चलाई गई थी. इस ट्रेन को मुंबई (Mumbai) के बोरीबंदर, जो कि अब छत्रपति शिवाजी टर्मिनल (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal) नाम से जाना जाता है, वहां से ठाणे (Thane) के बीच चलाया गया था. 20 डिब्बों वाली इस ट्रेन में 400 यात्री सवार थे. इस ट्रेन ने 35 किलोमीटर का सफर बिना किसी परेशानी के पूरा कर लिया था. आज करोड़ों लोग मीलों का सफर ट्रेनों से ही करते हैं. इतिहास में इसे एक बड़ी उपलब्धि के तौर पर भी माना जाता है
Today is World Voice Day (WVD) is a worldwide annual event that takes place on April 16 devoted to the celebration of the phenomenon of voice. The aim is to demonstrate the enormous importance of the voice in the daily lives of all people. Voice is a critical aspect of effective and healthy communication, and World Voice Day brings global awareness to the need for preventing voice problems, rehabilitating the deviant or sick voice, training the artistic voice, and researching the function and application of voice. A goal of World Voice Day is to encourage all those who use their voice for business or pleasure to learn to take care of their voice, and know how to seek help and training, and to support research on the voice.
Voice production is studied and applied in many disciplines such as medicine, speech-language pathology, music, physics, psychology, phonetics, art, and biology.
The World Voice Day was established on April 16 with the main goals of increasing public awareness of the importance of the voice and alertness to voice problems.

Steps to maintain a healthy voice:
1. Avoid screaming or shouting.
2. Stay hydrated, especially when exercising.
3. Rest your voice when sick.
4. Take vocal breaks throughout the day.
5. Don’t smoke or be around second-hand smoke.
6. Limit medications that dry out vocal folds.
7. Eat a diet rich in vitamins A, E, and C from whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

⦁ इतिहास का तीसरा अंश हजारों लोगों की मौत से जुड़ा है. 1945 में दूसरे वर्ल्ड वार के दौरान जर्मनी (Germany) और पोलैंड (Poland) बॉर्डर पर स्थित पोमेरैनिया और प्रुसिया के लगभग 10 हजार लोग अपनी जान बचाने के लिए विल्हेम गस्टलोफ नाम के जर्मन जहाज (German Ship) पर सवार हो गए. बाल्टिक सागर में सोवियत की तीन पनडुब्बियों ने इस जहाज पर अटैक कर दिया. जर्मन रिफ्यूजी शिप डूब गया और 7000 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी.
⦁ भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम ने पाकिस्तान को पाकिस्तान में हराया
⦁ इसी सीरीज के पहले टेस्ट मैच में वीरेंद्र सहवाग ने 309 रन बनाए थे। इसी के साथ तिहरा शतक लगाने वाले वे पहले भारतीय बने। ये मैच मुल्तान में खेला गया था, इसलिए सहवाग को ‘मुल्तान का सुल्तान’ कहा जाने लगा था।
⦁ 2013: ईरान में आए भूकंप में 37 लोगों की मौत हो गई.
⦁ 1988: उत्तरी इराक के कुर्द आबादी वाले शहर हलबजा पर हुए गैस हमले में हजारों लोगों की मौत हो गई.
और अब समय है कुछ प्रमुख व्यक्तियों की पुण्यतिथियों और जयंतियों के बारे में जानकारी देने का।
इतिहास का दूसरा अंश मशहूर एक्टर चार्ली चैपलिन (Charlie Chaplin) से जुड़ा है. 16 अप्रैल 1889 में जन्मे चार्ली ने पूरी दुनिया को उस वक्त हंसाया, जब पूरा यूरोप आर्थिक महामंदी से गुजर रहा था और पूरी दुनिया में उथल-पुथल का माहौल था. उन्होंने कॉमिक एक्टर और फिल्म मेकर के तौर पर अपना करियर बनाया और पूरा जीवन बस लोगों को हंसाते रहें. उनकी बातों में, अदाकारी में, लहजे में…यहां तक कि उनके हर एक अंदाज में लोगों को हंसाने की कला छिपी हुई थी. अपने शानदार अभिनय और लोगों को हंसाने की कला के लिए चार्ली चैपलिन को साल 1973 में ऑस्कर पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया.
Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin KBE (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977) was an English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer who rose to fame in the era of silent film. He became a worldwide icon through his screen persona, the Tramp, and is considered one of the film industry’s most important figures. His career spanned more than 75 years, from childhood in the Victorian era until a year before his death in 1977, and encompassed both adulation and controversy.
Chaplin’s childhood in London was one of poverty and hardship. His father was absent and his mother struggled financially-he was sent to a workhouse twice before age nine. When he was 14, his mother was committed to a mental asylum. Chaplin began performing at an early age, touring music halls and later working as a stage actor and comedian. At 19, he was signed to the Fred Karno company, which took him to the United States. He was scouted for the film industry and began appearing in 1914 for Keystone Studios. He soon developed the Tramp persona and attracted a large fanbase. He directed his own films and continued to hone his craft as he moved to the Essanay, Mutual, and First National corporations. By 1918, he was one of the world’s best-known figures.

An influential figure in modern world music, he rose to prominence in 2004 following the release of his debut single “Locked Up” (featuring Styles P). आज भारत के एक प्रसिद्ध चित्रकार नंदलाल बोस की पुण्य तिथि है। भारत के एक प्रसिद्ध चित्रकार नंदलाल बोस का आज ही के दिन 1966 में निधन हुआ था। प्रसिद्ध चित्रकार नंदलाल बोस का जन्म 3 दिसम्बर 1882 ई. में मुंगेर ज़िला, बिहार में हुआ था।
नंदलाल बोस ने संविधान की मूल प्रति का डिजाइन बनाया था।
नंदलाल बोस को भारतीय संविधान की मूल प्रति को अपनी चित्रों से सजाने का मौका मिला। नंदलाल बोस की मुलाकात पं. नेहरू से शांति निकेतन में हुई और वहीं नेहरू जी ने नंदलाल को इस बात का आमंत्रण दिया कि वे भारतीय संविधान की मूल प्रति को अपनी चित्रकारी से सजाएं। 221 पेज के इस दस्तावेज के हर पन्नों पर तो चित्र बनाना संभव नहीं था। लिहाजा, नंदलाल जी ने संविधान के हर भाग की शुरुआत में 8-13 इंच के चित्र बनाए। संविधान में कुल 22 भाग हैं। इस तरह उन्हें भारतीय संविधान की इस मूल प्रति को अपने 22 चित्रों से सजाने का मौका मिला। इन 22 चित्रों को बनाने में चार साल लगे। इस काम के लिए उन्हें 21,000 मेहनताना दिया गया।
इनके प्रसिद्ध चित्रों में है–‘डांडी मार्च’, ‘संथाली कन्या’, ‘सती का देह त्याग’ इत्यादि है। नंदलाल बोस ने चित्रकारों और कला अध्यापन के अतिरिक्त इन्होंने तीन पुस्तिकाएँ भी लिखीं-रूपावली, शिल्पकला और शिल्प चर्चा। ये अवनीन्द्रनाथ ठाकुर के प्रख्यात शिष्य थे।
