The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch the PSLV-C59/Proba 3 mission at 4.08 pm today from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. PSLV C59 will launch Proba 3 satellites of the European Space Agency into the highly elliptical orbit. The commercial arm of ISRO namely New Space India Limited has got this order from European Space Agency. The satellites will study the Sun’s Corona, its surrounding atmosphere, space weather and solar wind.

केन्द्रीय अप्रत्यक्ष कर और सीमा शुल्क बोर्ड ने विभिन्न वस्तुओं और सेवाओं पर जीएसटी दर बदलाव के बारे में मंत्रिसमूह की अनुशंसा संबंधी रिपोर्ट खारिज कर दी है। बोर्ड ने कहा कि जीएसटी परिषद को मंत्रिसमूह की ऐसी कोई सिफारिश नहीं मिली है और न ही जीएसटी दर में बदलाव पर विचार किया गया है। बोर्ड ने कहा कि वित्त मंत्री तथा सभी राज्यों और केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों के मंत्रियों की अध्यक्षता में जीएसटी परिषद ही दरों में बदलाव की सिफारिश कर सकती है। मंत्रिसमूह में बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश, राजस्थान, पश्चिम बंगाल, कर्नाटक और केरल के मंत्री शामिल हैं। बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री इसके संयोजक हैं।

UK MPs have raised concern over ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Bangladesh. An urgent issue was tabled in the House of Commons in UK’s parliament over the worrisome situation in Bangladesh. Conservative MP Priti Patel called the situation in Bangladesh deeply concerning. Referring to the surge in incidents of violence, vandalism, and desecration targeting Hindu minorities, Ms Patel said, the country is witnessing uncontrolled violence in many quarters. Another MP, Bob Blackman said, Hindus are suffering with their houses being burned and their businesses ransacked. He said, this is a clear issue of an attempt at the ethnic cleansing of Hindus from Bangladesh. Labour Party MP Barry Gardiner has asked for an urgent session in the British parliament to discuss the situation in Bangladesh. Informing the House about initiatives taken by Britain so far, the foreign office in-charge for the Indo-Pacific region, Catherine West said that UK is among the first countries to take up the issue with Dhaka. Ms West also said that the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is closely monitoring those developments.

In an earlier late-night television address, President Yoon had described the measure as necessary to safeguard the nation from North Korea’s communist forces and to eliminate anti-state elements.

IIT Madras, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are the institutes which are partnering. Nissan Motor India has crossed five lakh units in cumulative domestic sales since its inception in 2010. Ithas sold more than five lakh units in the last 14 years. The company recorded consolidated wholesale
le dispatches of 9040 units with domestic sales accounting for 2342 units. Exports stood at 6698 units. Saurabh Vatsa, Nissan Motor India said that Nissan recently expanded the product lineup with the launch of the New Nissan Magnite.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reviewed the financial performances of various departments in Bengaluru yesterday. Speaking to media, Siddaramaiah informed that the Commercial Taxes department has reported revenue collection of 53,103 crore rupees by November end as against the target of 56,317 crore rupees. The GST collection grew by 15 percent contributing a sum of 13,722 crore rupees, making Karnataka the second state in the country in GST collections. The Excise department collected over 23000 crore rupees as against the yearly target of 38,525 crore rupees in this financial year. The Stamps and Registration department recorded revenues of over 15000 crore rupees as against its annual target of 26000 crore rupees. The Mines and Geology department earned revenue of 4862 crore rupees as against its target of 9000 crore rupees upto November this year.

The Karnataka minister for minor irrigation, Science and Technology N S Boseraju has directed the officials to prepare a draft proposal to revive the Lake Users’ Associations. He informed that a high level meeting of the Karnataka Lake Conservation and Development Authority will be convened under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to discuss ways to revive Lake Users’ Associations for 40,000 waterbodies across the state. The minister told the officials to improve interdepartmental coordination to address water conservation challenges and encourage revenue earning activities such as fishing, installing floating solar panels, and introducing boating to support water body management efforts.

On the occasion of completion of one year of Congress government, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy virtually launched a slew of development works worth 5827 crore rupees in Hyderabad, yesterday. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for development works worth 3446 crore rupees under H-CITI Phase-1 in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits. He also launched works for rainwater conservation and flood control works to prevent flood water from stagnation in the city and inaugurated sewage treatment plants. He also inaugurated 19 reservoirs in various areas around the Outer Ring Road for drinking water supply among other works. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy also formally launched the new online building approval and layout approval software BUILD NOW with artificial intelligence integration. The system will come into effect from February 2025.

दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने कल 1600 से ज्यादा होमगार्ड्स और सिविल डिफेंस वोलिंटियरों को नियुक्ति पत्र वितरित किए। श्री सक्सेना ने सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट के माध्यम से बताया कि नियुक्ति पत्र प्राप्त करने वाले उम्मीदवारों में से 181 उम्मीदवार महिलाएं और उन्नीस प्रतिशत पूर्व नागरिक सुरक्षा स्वयंसेवक हैं। उन्होंने नई भर्तियों के चयन पर प्रसन्न्ता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि चयनित उम्मीदवारों को उनके कर्तव्यों के लिए तैनात किए जाने से पहले प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा। उन्होंने यह भी विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि भविष्य में और अधिक होमगार्ड नियुक्त किए जाएंगे।

4 दिसंबर 1924 को गेटवे ऑफ इंडिया का उद्घाटन हुआ था। इसका निर्माण ब्रिटेन के राजा जॉर्ज-V और क्वीन मैरी की भारत यात्रा को यादगार बनाने के लिए किया गया था। उन्होंने यहीं से भारत में प्रवेश किया था। 31 मार्च 1911 को इसे बनाने का काम शुरू हुआ था। 26 मीटर ऊंचे इस गेट को जॉर्ज विटेट ने डिजाइन किया है। 13 साल में गेटवे पूरी तरह बनकर तैयार हुआ और आज ही के दिन इसका उद्घाटन किया गया।

⦁ भारतीय नौसेना दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष 4 दिसम्बर को मनाया जाता है। यह 1971 की जंग में भारतीय नौसेना की पाकिस्तानी नौसेना पर जीत की याद में मनाया जाता है। 3 दिसंबर को भारतीय सेना पूर्वी पाकिस्तान (अब बांग्लादेश) में पाक सेना के ख़िलाफ़ जंग की शुरुआत कर चुकी थी। वहीं, ‘ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट’ के तहत 4 दिसंबर, 1971 को भारतीय नौसेना ने कराची नौसैनिक अड्डे पर भी हमला बोल दिया था। इस यु्द्ध में पहली बार जहाज पर मार करने वाली एंटी शिप मिसाइल से हमला किया गया था। नौसेना ने पाकिस्तान के तीन जहाज नष्ट कर दिए थे। इसमें भारतीय नौसेना का आई.एन.एस. खुकरी भी पानी में डूब गया था। इसमें 18 अधिकारियों सहित लगभग 176 नौ सैनिक सवार थे।

शशि कपूर हिन्दी सिनेमा जगत के प्रसिद्ध अभिनेताओं में से एक थे। वे ऐसे अभिनेताओं में शुमार किये जाते हैं, जिन्होंने अपने सदाबहार अभिनय से लगभग चार दशक तक हिन्दी सिने प्रेमियों का भरपूर मनोरंजन किया। कोलकाता में जन्मे शशि कपूर का असली नाम ‘बलबीर राज कपूर’ था। उनका रुझान बचपन से ही फ़िल्मों की ओर था और वह अभिनेता बनना चाहते थे। उनके पिता पृथ्वीराज कपूर और भाई राजकपूर तथा शम्मी कपूर पहले से ही फ़िल्म इंडस्ट्री के जाने माने अभिनेता थे और प्रसिद्धि की बुलन्दियों पर थे। उनके पिता अगर चाहते तो वह उन्हें लेकर फ़िल्म बना सकते थे, लेकिन उनका मानना था कि शशि कपूर स्वयं ही संघर्ष करें और अपनी मेहनत से ही अभिनेता बनें। पिता की इस बात पर शशि कपूर पूरी तरह खरे उतरे थे। साल 1965 ई. शशि कपूर के सिने कैरियर का अहम साल साबित हुआ। इस साल उनकी ‘जब जब फूल खिले’ प्रदर्शित हुई। बेहतरीन गीत, संगीत और अभिनय से सजी इस फ़िल्म की ज़बर्दस्त कामयाबी ने न सिर्फ़ अभिनेत्री नंदा को, बल्कि गीतकार, आनंद बख्शी और संगीतकार कल्याणजी-आनंदजी को शोहरत की बुंलदियों पर पहुँचा। कल्याणजी और आनंदजी के संगीत निर्देशन में आनंद बख्शी रचित सुपरहिट गाना ‘परदेसियों से न अखियाँ मिलाना’, शशि कपूर ने लगभग 200 फ़िल्मों में काम किया है। उनके करियर की कुछ अन्य फ़िल्में हैं- ‘प्यार किए जा’ (1966), ‘हसीना मान जाएगी’ (1968), ‘प्यार का मौसम’, ‘कन्यादान’ (1969), ‘अभिनेत्री’ (1970), ‘शर्मिली’ (1971), ‘वचन’, ‘चोर मचाए शोर’ (1974), ‘फकीरा’ (1978), ‘हीरा लाल पन्ना लाल’ (1978), ‘सत्यंम शिवम सुंदरम’ (1979), ‘बेज़ुबान’, ‘क्रोधी’, ‘क्रांति’ (1981), ‘घूंघरू’ (1983), ‘घर एक मंदिर’ (1984), ‘अलग अलग’ (1985), ‘इलज़ाम (1986), ‘सिंदूर’ (1987) और ‘फर्ज की जंग’ (1989) आदि।
नब्बे के दशक में स्वास्थ्य ख़राब रहने के कारण शशि कपूर ने फ़िल्मों में काम करना लगभग बंद कर दिया। साल 1998 में प्रदर्शित फ़िल्म ‘जिन्ना’ उनके सिने कैरियर की अंतिम फ़िल्म थी, जिसमें उन्होंने सूत्रधार की भूमिका निभाई थी।
