In Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address an election rally in Kotputli under Jaipur rural lok sabha constituency. Union Home minister and BJP senior leader Amit Shah is paying a days visit to Karnataka today. He will be addressing Shakti Kendra party workers in Bengaluru in the morning and later hold a road show in Channapatna, which is part of Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha constituency. BJP State General Secretary and Election Management Committee Convenor V Sunil Kumar informed that Amit Shah will be addressing party workers from five Lok Sabha constituencies. The Core committee members meeting of five constituencies will also be held today.

Chief Justice of India Justice D. Y. Chandrachud has emphasized the pivotal role of technology in transforming the criminal justice system. Delivering the 20th D. P. Kohli Memorial Lecture in New Delhi on the occasion of CBI day yesterday, Justice Chandrachud advocated to adopt new technology to tackle new-age criminal networks effectively. He said, the need of the hour is to recognize the complexity of CBI proceedings and to leverage technology to avoid delays. The Chief Justice said, the role of technology will facilitate speedy and fair trial.
Justice Chandrachud said, in the era of digital transformation, law and Technology holds immense potential to shape the cause of crime detection.
On the occasion, the Chief Justice of India also presented the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service and Police Medals for Meritorious Service to CBI officers.

रेलयात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए उत्तर रेलवे आज से बिहार के समस्तीपुर से दिल्ली के आनंद बिहार के बीच विशेष अनारक्षित रेलगाडी चलाएगा। यह रेलगाडी समस्तीपुर से शाम 7 बजकर 45 मिनट पर चलेगी और यह दरभंगा, रक्सौल, गोरखपुर, मुरादाबाद होते हुए शाम को साढे पांच बजे आनन्द बिहार पहुंचेगी। उत्तर रेलवे के अनुसार बिहार के रक्सौल से आनन्द बिहार के बीच एक विशेष रेलगाडी बुधवार को चलाई जाएगी। यह रेलगाडी रक्सौल जक्शन से रात 10 बजकर 25 मिनट पर चलेगी और यह अगले दिन शाम को छह बजे आनन्द बिहार पहुचेगी।

The Chennai Consumer disputes redressal commission has imposed a Rs.25 thousand penalty on Apple. A Customer of Apple MacBook had sued the company after service denial of the cracks in the system. In Dec2020, the customer had purchased the equipment via Amazon for Rs. 66 thousand. By July 2021, he observed a crack on the display’s inner surface while the external screen remained intact. The customer approached the authorised service centre in Annanagar which quoted Rs. 37 thousand for the screen replacement, despite the laptop being under warranty until December 2021. Apple India supported the claim and argued that such damages warranted a fee for repair, even within the warranty period and denied any manufacturing defects.

दिल्ली विधानसभा का कल एक दिवसीय विशेष सत्र का आयोजित किया गया। इस दौरान आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायकों ने कथित आबकारी नीति घोटाले में मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी को अवैध बताया। सदन में चर्चा के दौरान आम आदमी पार्टी विधायक रितुराज गोविंद ने कहा कि श्री केजरीवाल को झूठे मुकदमे में फंसाया गया है। उन्होंने भारतीय जनता पार्टी पर आरोप लगाया कि श्री केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी के बाद भाजपा दिल्ली में राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाने का षड़यंत्र रच रही है।
सदन में भाजपा के विधायक विजेंद्र गुप्ता ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को 15 दिन के लिए न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि जांच एजेंसी ने बताया है कि मुख्यमंत्री जांच में सहयोग नहीं कर रहे हैं। श्री गुप्ता ने सदन में मुख्यमंत्री की गिरफ्तारी पर चर्चा को बेबुनियाद बताया।

मतदान प्रतिशत बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से, ग्रेटर मुंबई नगर निगम हाउसिंग सोसायटी, औद्योगिक संपदा, बाजार, सिनेमा हॉल, शैक्षणिक संस्थान और शॉपिंग मॉल सहित अन्य स्थानों पर जागरूकता अभियान चलाएगा। इस संबंध में कल मुंबई के नागरिक मुख्यालय में एक बैठक आयोजित की गई। मुंबई में 20 मई को पांचवें चरण में लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए मतदान होगा। मुंबई के अतिरिक्त नगर आयुक्त अश्विनी जोशी ने अधिकारियों को एक विस्तृत योजना तैयार करने का निर्देश दिया है कि मतदान प्रतिशत कैसे बढ़ाया जा सकता है, खासकर उन क्षेत्रों में जहां 2019 के चुनावों में प्रतिशत 60 से नीचे था। समाचार पत्रों, पोस्टरों और सोशल मीडिया में विज्ञापन चलाने के अलावा, नागरिक निकाय ने BEST बसों और रेलवे स्टेशनों पर विशेष संदेश चलाने की योजना बनाई है। कचरा संग्रहण वाहन एक संदेश भी बजाएगा, जिसमें मतदाताओं से अपना राष्ट्रीय कर्तव्य निभाने का आग्रह किया जाएगा।

Several nominations were filed yesterday for the first of the two phase Lok Sabha election in Karnataka on April 26. On a single day yesterday 55 nominations were received from 49 candidates. Since March 28 till date 114 nominations have been received from 96 candidates from 14 constituencies going to the poll on April 26. Among those who filed their nomination papers from BJP yesterday were P C Mohan from Bangalore Central, V Somanna from Tumkur and K Sudhakar from Chickballapur. From Congress party, Sowmya Reddy from Bangalore South, Raksha Ramaiah from Chickballapur, Venkataramane Gowda from Mandya and Shreyas M Patel from Hassan filed their nominations. April four is the last day for filing nominations in this phase, scrutiny of nominations will take place on April five and April 8th is the last day for withdrawal of candidates.

मुंबई के नागरिक निकाय ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2023-24 के लिए संपत्ति कर के रूप में तीन हजार 196 करोड़ रुपये एकत्र किए हैं। एक आधिकारिक बयान के अनुसार, ‘एच ईस्ट’ वार्ड करीब 336 करोड़ रुपये के भुगतान के साथ वार्ड आधार पर संग्रह में सबसे आगे रहा, जबकि संभागीय आधार पर, पश्चिमी उपनगर 1,590 करोड़ रुपये के संग्रह के साथ आगे रहा। ग्रेटर मुंबई नगर निगम के लिए संपत्ति कर सबसे अधिक राजस्व स्रोतों में से एक है। जबकि 500 वर्ग फुट तक क्षेत्रफल वाली 3.56 लाख से अधिक संपत्तियों को संपत्ति कर से छूट दी गई है, शेष 5.98 संपत्ति धारकों को कर का भुगतान करना पड़ता है। पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष का संग्रह केवल 2.53 लाख संपत्तियों से है, जिन्होंने नियत तारीख से पहले कर का भुगतान किया है।

HYDERABAD METRO
District Election Officer and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ronald Rose informed that 3.28 crore rupees cash was seized till today i.e. 01.04.2024 in the district as part of the implementation of the election code in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections. In addition, he said that other items valued at 13.8 lakh rupees and 18,752.83 litres of liquor were also seized. He said that 122 cases were filed. Moreover, 2,144 permitted firearms have been deposited ahead of the polls. District Election Officer Ronald Rose reported that in the last 24 hours till April 1, various enforcement teams seized a total of 9,54,200 rupees during the inspection. Eleven complaints about the seizure of cash and other goods were received; five of them were immediately addressed, he said.

आज सबसे पहले हम जिक्र करेंगे भारत के अंतरिक्ष इतिहास की वो महत्वपूर्ण घटना जहां से हमने अंतरिक्ष विज्ञान के नए क्षेत्र में प्रवेश किया और जब दो अप्रैल 1984 को स्क्वाड्रन लीडर राकेश शर्मा अपने तीन सोवियत साथियों के साथ मिशन सोयूज़ टी-11 के तहत अंतरिक्ष में जाने वाले पहले भारतीय अंतरिक्ष यात्री बनने की करीब सभी तैयारियां पूरी कर चुके थे और भारतीय समय के हिसाब से 3 अप्रैल का यह मिशन था। उस समय ये घटना एक अद्वितीय घटना की तरह थी, जिसने युवाओं के मन में अंतरिक्ष को लेकर जिज्ञासा के साथ-साथ अपार संभावनाओं के द्वार भी खोले थे।

आइए अब संगीत की दुनिया का रुख करें और एक ऐसे महान गायक को हम याद करेंगे जो बड़े ऊंचे कद काठी के व्यक्तित्व होने के साथ ही अपनी कला में उस स्थान तक पहुंचे जहां ,कलाकार एक तरह से अपनी कला के लिए सर्वस्व न्योछावर कर देता है ,हम पूर्ण श्रद्धा के साथ स्मरण कर रहे हैं,
उस्ताद बड़े ग़ुलाम अली ख़ाँ साहब का। शास्त्रीय संगीत के इस बेशकीमती रत्न का जन्म: 2 अप्रॅल, 1902 को और – मृत्यु: 25 अप्रैल, 1968) को हुई थी। बड़े गुलाम अली खान साहब की की गणना देश के महानतम गायकों और संगीतज्ञों में की जाती है। उनका स्वर विलक्षण मधुर था। इनके गायन को सुनकर श्रोता अपनी सुध-बुध खोकर कुछ समय के लिए मानो स्वयं ही खो जाते थे। उस वक्त आज की तरह रिकॉर्डेड संगीत का चलन तो था नहीं,तो देश के कोने-कोने से संगीत के पारखी लोग ख़ाँ साहब को गायन के लिए न्यौता भेजते थे। क्या राजघराने क्या मामूली स्कूल के विद्यार्थी, ख़ाँ साहब की मखमली आवाज़ सभी को मंत्रमुग्ध कर देती थी। दिल को छू जाने वाली आवाज़ के मालिक उस्ताद बड़े ग़ुलाम अली ख़ाँ ने ठुमरी को भी नया अंदाज दिया। जानकारों के मुताबिक़ उस्ताद ने अपने प्रयोगधर्मी संगीत की बदौलत ठुमरी को जानी-पहचानी शैली की सीमाओं से बाहर निकाला। याद पिया की आये (ठुमरी)
बड़े ग़ुलाम अली ख़ाँ साहब पूरी तरह से किसी आध्यात्मिक शक्ति से इतनी संगीत के प्रति समर्पित थी कि ऐसा लगता था कि यह शख़्सियत संगीत के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए धरती पर अवतरित हुई है।
इनके पिता महाराजा कश्मीर के दरबारी गायक थे और वह घराना “कश्मीरी घराना” कहलाता था। उसके बाद वह संगीत को आगे बढ़ाने और उसे समृद्ध करने की मुहिम में रम गए। कहते हैं कि बड़े ग़ुलाम अली ख़ाँ के मुंह से एक बार ‘राधेकृष्ण बोल’ भजन सुनकर महात्मा गांधी बहुत प्रभावित हुए थे। ख़ाँ साहब के बारे में कहा जाता है कि वो ज़रा सख़्त मिज़ाज शख्स थे, अपनी शर्तों पर गाते थे। प्रेम जोगन बन के (मुग़ले-आज़म) सरकार के पद्म भूषण और संगीत नाटक अकादमी सम्मान से भी उनकी प्रतिभा को सम्मिंत सम्मानित किया।
For a long time, he stayed away from singing in films, despite requests and persuasion from well-known producers and music directors. Finally, after much coaxing, he was convinced by the film producer, K Asif, to sing two songs based on the ragas Sohni and Rageshri for the 1960 film Mughal-e-Azam, with music directed by Naushad. He demanded and received an extremely high price, reportedly ₹ 25,000 per song, at a time when the rates of popular and star playback singers such as Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi were below ₹ 500 per song.

Varahaneri Venkatesa Subramaniam Aiyar (2 April 1881 – 3 June 1925), also known as V. V. S. Aiyar, was an Indian revolutionary from Tamil Nadu who fought against British colonial rule in India. His contemporaries include Subramanya Bharathi and V.O. Chidambaram Pillai, who subscribed to militant forms of resistance against the British colonial government. He also exchanged ideas with V. D. Savarkar during his stay at India House in London. He went into exile in Pondicherry, then under French rule, when his militant activities attracted a warrant for his arrest from the British colonial government.
Aiyar was also a Tamil writer and is considered as the father of modern Tamil short story. He also translated the Ramavatharam of Kambar and Tirukkural into English. V.V.S Aiyar is mentor of Vanchinathan.
Venkatesa Subramaniam Aiyar was born on 2 April 1881 in the suburb of Varahaneri in Tiruchi. After his early education, he studied in St. Joseph’s College and took his B.A in History, Politics, and Latin; he studied for the Law profession and passed the Pleader (junior lawyer) examination from the Madras University in 1902. He then practised as the pleader in the District courts of Tiruchi. Aiyar then moved to Rangoon in 1906 and started practising as a junior in the Chambers of an English Barrister. From Rangoon, he left for London in 1907 and enrolled in Lincoln’s Inn aiming to becoming a Barrister at Law. While in London, Aiyar became member of India House. Aiyar then began to take an active role in the militant struggle for Indian independence. Aiyar had a son and two daughters.
वराहनेरी वेंकटेश सुब्रमण्य अय्यर एक क्रांतिकारी राष्ट्रभक्त थे। उनका जन्म 2 अप्रैल 1881 को तिरुचिरापल्ली जिले में हुआ था। शिक्षा पूरी करने के बाद वे अपने जिले में वकालत करने लगे। अय्यर अधिक सफलता प्राप्त करने के उद्देश्य से पहले रंगून गए और फिर बैरिस्टर बनने के लिए इंग्लैंड गये। वहां उनकी मुलाकात गांधीजी से हो गयी। सुब्रमण्य क्रांतिकारी विचारों के व्यक्ति थे। उनका मानना था कि शस्त्रों के बल पर ही भारत को आजाद करया जा सकता है। वे क्रांतिकारियों द्वारा अत्याचारी अंग्रेज शासकों की हत्या को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का अंग मानते थे। अय्यर कई भाषाओं (अंग्रेजी, लैटिन, फ्रेंच संस्कृत और तमिल) के जानकार थे।
सुब्रमानए अय्यर का संपर्क दामोदर विनायक सावरकर से भी हुआ। । 1910 में पांडिचेरी पहुंचे और 1920 तक पांडिचेरी में रहे और यहां उनकी महर्षि अरविंद से मुलाकात हुई। एक बार उन्हें पांडिचेरी से देश निकाला देकर अलजीयर्स पहुँचा दिया था।

जिनका जन्म- 2 अप्रॅल, 1935) को हुआ। वह दवा प्रौद्योगिकी के क्षेत्र में अपने अग्रणी शोध के लिए जाने जाते हैं।
भारतीय विज्ञान अकादमी, बेंगलुरु ने 1985 में ए. वी. रामा राव को अपना फेलो चुना था।
इंडियन नेशनल साइंस एकेडमी और नेशनल एकेडमी ऑफ साइंसेज, भारत और दो अन्य प्रमुख विज्ञान अकादमियों ने ए. वी. रामा राव को 1986 और 1989 में फेलो के रूप में चुनकर उनका अनुसरण किया।
इसके बाद तीसरी विश्व विज्ञान अकादमी ने भी उन्हें 1995 में एक फेलो के रूप में चुना।
ए. वी. रामा राव ने 1982 में के. जी. नाइक पदक प्राप्त किया और दो साल बाद उन्हें 1984 के वासविक औद्योगिक अनुसंधान पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।
सरकार ने उन्हें नागरिक पुरस्कार पद्म श्री और पद्म भूषण से समानित किया गया।।

इस प्रकार उसे एक असैनिक शासक तथा सैनिक संगठनकर्ता-दोनों रूपों में अपनी योग्यता प्रदर्शित करने का अवसर मिला।
बालाजी विश्वनाथ द्वारा की गई सेवाओं से मराठा साम्राज्य अपने गौरवपूर्ण अतीत को एक बार फिर से प्राप्त करने में काफ़ी हद तक सफल हो चुका था। इसीलिए उसके द्वारा की गई महत्त्वपूर्ण सेवाओं के लिए पेशवा का पद बालाजी विश्वनाथ के परिवार के लिए वंशगत कर दिया। इसीलिए बालाजी विश्वनाथ की मृत्यु के बाद उसके पुत्र बाजीराव प्रथम को पेशवा का पद प्रदान कर दिया गया, जो एक वीर, साहसी और एक समझदार राजनीतिज्ञ था।

बिन्देश्वर पाठक (अंग्रेज़ी: Bindeshwar Pathak, जन्म- 2 अप्रैल, 1943; मृत्यु- 15 अगस्त, 2023) समाजशास्त्री और सामाजिक उद्यमी थे। वह ‘सुलभ इंटरनेशनल’ के संस्थापक थे, जो एक भारत-आधारित सामाजिक सेवा संगठन है और जो शिक्षा के माध्यम से मानव अधिकारों, पर्यावरणीय स्वच्छता, ऊर्जा के गैर-पारंपरिक स्रोतों, अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन और सामाजिक सुधारों को बढ़ावा देता है।
वर्ष 2024 में बिन्देश्वर पाठक को भारत सरकार ने मरणोपरान्त पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित किया है।
अन्य अनेक पुरस्कारों से उनके कार्यों का सम्मान भी किया गया।
