Today is the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures for the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections along with single-phase Assembly polls in two north-eastern states.
The scrutiny of nominations was held on Thursday while the filing of papers for this phase ended on Wednesday. In Bihar, filling of papers for the four parliamentary constituency segments of Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada and Jamui in the first phase of Parliamentary Elections ended on Thursday. Scrutiny of nominations in the state will be held today. The last date of withdrawal of candidature is Tuesday.
In the first phase, 102 Lok Sabha seats in 17 States including Bihar and four Union Territories along with 32 Assembly constituencies in Sikkim and 60-member House in Arunachal Pradesh will go to polls on 19th of next month. Among states going to polls in a single phase for the Lok Sabha polls are Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Lakshadeep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry. The Election Commission of India extended the last date of nomination in Bihar due to festival of Holi and Bihar Foundation Day.

In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said, he spoke on global and regional issues of mutual interest. He reiterated India’s commitment to strengthen the overall relationship, including bilateral cooperation. Dr Jaishankar said, the Ukraine Foreign Minister’s visit gives the opportunity to understand the situation in Ukraine. He said, in recent months, they have had interactions at various levels, and some bilateral mechanisms have also met, which have created a momentum in the bilateral relations.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister arrived in India on Thursday on a two day visit.

उत्तर रेलवे ने चालू वित्त वर्ष में अपने पुराने सामान को बेचकर 603 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक धनराशि अर्जित कर रिकॉर्ड बनाया है। उत्तर रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक शोभन चौधुरी के अनुसार, स्क्रैप की यह बिक्री देश की सभी क्षेत्रीय रेल इकाइयों में सर्वाधिक है। उत्तर रेलवे ने यह रिकार्ड सालाना बिक्री लक्ष्य 500 करोड़ से अधिक की बिक्री करके बनाया है।

In Karnataka the enforcement agencies have seized articles worth over 62 crore rupees to enforce the Model Code of Conduct. It included 20.85 crore rupees cash and 27 crore rupees worth of drugs. The seized articles include 70.86 lakh rupees worth of gift articles, 8.63 lakh litres of liquor worth 27 crore rupees, 15 kgs gold worth nine crore rupees, 59.04 kgs of silver worth 27 lakh rupees and 21.17 carat diamond and jewellery worth nine lakh rupees. The agencies have filed 969 FIRs against persons held during the seizure of articles. The election authorities received 8703 public complaints through the cVIGIL mobile app. These complaints were related to posters, banners without permission, property defacement, money distribution, distribution of liquor, gifts and coupons, campaigning beyond the permissible time, use of campaign vehicles without permission, religious or communal speeches and also display of firearms and intimidation. The authorities have found 7918 such complaints received through cVIGIL as correct and action was initiated against the culprits.

लोकसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार मुंबई क्षेत्र में जिला नियंत्रण कक्ष स्थापित किया गया है। कलेक्टर और जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी संजय यादव ने बताया कि 16 मार्च से 28 मार्च 2024 की अवधि के दौरान मतदाता पंजीकरण से संबंधित कुल 381 शिकायतें प्राप्त हुईं। इनमें से 371 शिकायतों का समाधान किया गया है। श्री यादव ने कहा कि राष्ट्रीय शिकायत सेवा पोर्टल (एनजीएसपी) भारत निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा मतदाता पंजीकरण से संबंधित नागरिकों से प्राप्त शिकायतों की निगरानी और निवारण के लिए एक स्थायी वन विंडो योजना के रूप में बनाया गया एक पोर्टल है। इस पोर्टल पर नागरिक मतदाता पंजीकरण से संबंधित शिकायतें किसी भी समय दर्ज कर सकते हैं।

मुंबई के प्रतिष्ठित राजीव गांधी बांद्रा वर्ली सी लिंक पर टोल शुल्क 1 अप्रैल से लगभग 18 प्रतिशत बढ़ जाएगा। महाराष्ट्र राज्य सड़क विकास निगम के अधिकारियों के अनुसार कारों और जीपों के लिए एक तरफ की यात्रा के लिए अगले महीने की शुरुआत से, नई टोल दरें 100 रूपये होंगी। जबकि मिनीबस, टेम्पो और अन्य समान वाहनों को इसके लिए 160 रूपये का भुगतान करना होगा। आठ-लेन ओवरपास का उपयोग करने वाले मोटर चालक अब कारों और जीपों के लिए 85 रूपये, मिनीबस, टेम्पो और हल्के वाणिज्यिक वाहनों के लिए 130 रूपये और दो-एक्सल ट्रकों और बसों के लिए 175 रूपये का भुगतान करते हैं। ये दरें 1 अप्रैल, 2021 से लागू हैं।

The scorching heat is gripping Hyderabad, with temperatures reaching new highs that are reminiscent of 2016’s extreme heat. Yesterday, Hyderabad recorded an average maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius, marking a significant escalation in the summer heat. As per the IMD data, the year 2016 witnessed a similar onslaught of intense heat in March, making it the hottest in a decade. Areas like Kukatpally sizzled at 42.3 degree Celsius, while Maredpally and the Serilingampally sweltered at 41.9 degree Celsius each. Other areas, including Borabanda at 41.8 degree Celsius and Uppal at 41.7 degree Celsius, also grappled with soaring temperatures.
The IMD’s forecast paints a worrisome picture for Hyderabad residents, as the intense heat is predicted to persist for the next five days.

उन्होंने एक दशक के अपने फ़िल्मी करियर में कुल 15 फ़िल्मों में ही काम किया, लेकिन उनकी हर फ़िल्म को क्लासिक का दर्जा हासिल है। विषय की गहराई और सामाजिक सरोकारों से जुड़ी उनकी फ़िल्मों ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय और भारतीय फ़िल्म जगत् में नए मूल्य और मानदंड स्थापित किए। हिंदी फ़िल्मों की पहली स्वप्न सुंदरी और ड्रैगन लेडी जैसी टाइटल्स से सुशोभित देविका को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर काफी लोकप्रियता और सराहना मिली ।

Eric Patrick Clapton CBE (born 30 March 1945) is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is regarded as one of the most successful and influential guitarists in rock music. He ranked second in Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and fourth in Gibson’s “Top 50 Guitarists of All Time”. In 2023, Rolling Stone named Clapton the 35th best guitarist of all time. He was also named number five in Time magazine’s list of “The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players” in 2009.

1972 में आयी फिल्म मोम की गुड़िया’ में पहली बार आनंद बख़्शी को गीत गाने का मौका मिला था । आनंद बख़्शी ने बॉलीवुड को एक से बढ़कर एक गीत दिए जिनमें फिल्म ‘कटी पतंग, ‘बॉबी, ‘सत्यम् शिवम् सुन्दरम्, ‘अमर अकबर एन्थॉनी, ‘इक दूजे के लिए , ‘हीरो, ‘कर्मा, ‘राम-लखन, ‘खलनायक, ‘ताल, ‘यादें जैसी फ़िल्में शामिल हैं।

आनंद बख़्शी 40 बार ‘फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार’ के लिए नॉमिनेट किये गये और चार बार यह पुरस्कार उन्हें मिला ।
आदमी मुसाफ़िर है’ [अपनापन(1977)], ‘तेरे मेरे बीच कैसा है यह बन्धन’ [ एक दूजे के लिए(1981)], ‘तुझे देखा तो यह जाना सनम’ [दिलवाले दुल्हनिया ले जायेंगे (1995)] और ‘इश्क़ बिना क्या जीना यारों’ [ ताल(1999)] गीतों के लिए चार बार फ़िल्म फ़ेयर पुरस्कार से नवाज़ा गया है।
आनंद बख्शी आज हमारे बीच नहीं हैं लेकिन उनके लिखे गीत आज भी हमारे दिलों में रचे बसे हैं
