अमरीका यात्रा पर रवाना होने से पहले प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि वे क्वाड शिखर सम्मेलन में अपने सहयोगी अमरीका के राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडेन, ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री एंथनी एलबनीजी और जापान के प्रधानमंत्री फुमियो किशिदा से बातचीत के लिए उत्सुक हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि हिंद-प्रशांत क्षेत्र में शांति, प्रगति और समृद्धि के लिए यह समूह, समान विचारधारा वाले देशों के मंच के रूप में उभरा है।
अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति के साथ अपनी बैठक के बारे में श्री मोदी ने कहा कि इस बैठक से दोनों देशों के बीच वैश्विक रणनीतिक साझेदारी और मजबूत होगी।

Election Commission has said that 61.38 percent voter turnout was recorded in the first phase of assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir held on Wednesday. The commission said that total voter turnout comprises 63.75 percent male, 58.96 percent female and 40 percent Third gender voters. This is the highest voter turnout in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 35 years.

वित्त मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि वित्तीय वर्ष 2023-24 में डिजिटल भुगतान के जरिए लेनदेन बढ़कर लगभग 19 हजार करोड़ हो गया, जबकि वित्तीय वर्ष 2017-18 में यह दो हजार करोड़ से अधिक था। इसी अवधि के दौरान यूनिफाइड पेमेंट्स इंटरफेस (यूपीआई) लेनदेन भी लगभग नब्बे करोड़ से बढ़कर 13 हजार करोड़ से अधिक हो गया।
वित्त मंत्रालय के अनुसार वित्तीय वर्ष 2023-24 में यूपीआई लेनदेन 200 लाख करोड़ रुपये पर पहुंच गया है।

लेबनान स्थित आंतकी गुट हिजबुल्ला ने, कल राजधानी बेरूत के दक्षिणी उपनगरीय इलाके में इस्राइली हमले में, अपने टॉप कमांडर इब्राहिम अकील के मारे जाने की पुष्टि की है। लेबनान के स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने बताया है कि दहिया क्षेत्र में हुए हमलों में कम से कम चौदह लोग मारे गए और 66 घायल हो गए। खबरों में बताया गया है कि अकील का शव हिजबुल्ला के एलीट बल, राडवान फोर्स के सात अन्य सदस्यों के शवों के साथ प्राप्त हुआ। यह इस वर्ष बेरूत पर इस्राइल पर तीसरा हमला था। लेबनान के प्रधानमंत्री नाजिब मिकाती ने घने आबादी क्षेत्र में हुए हमले की निंदा की और इसे कथित नरसंहार बताया है।
इस्राइली हमले के जवाब में हिजबुल्ला ने पश्चिमी गलिली क्षेत्र में सौ से अधिक रॉकेट दागे और उत्तरी इस्राइल में एक प्रमुख खुफिया ठिकानों को निशाना बनाया।

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over East, West, Northeast and South Peninsular parts of the country during the next 3 days. IMD predicted heavy rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Telangana yesterday. Heavy rainfall has been been forecast in Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat and Marathwada till 25th of this month. IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall in Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till 26th of this month. It said that hot and Humid Weather is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till today.

CHENNAI METRO
The Chennai Science Festival will be held from 24 to 26th of this month The Festival features a science exhibition showcasing premier institues involved in giving higher education and research like IGCAR, Anna University, Madras University, IIT, Tamilnadu University of Veterinary Science, CLRI, Directorate of Medicine, Cancer research insitutute. Apart from exhibtions and science demonstrations, laser light and sound shows will also be organised for the benefit of the visitors.

IIT – Madras has launched a new research centre on diabetes to drive advancements in diabetes research and develop innovative technologies to address the most pressing challenges in diabetes care and associated complications. This centre has been supported by generous funding from IIT Madras alumni Subramonium Shankar. The Centre of Excellence for diabetic research was inaugurated at the department of medical sciences and technology,IIT Madras, Chris Hodges , US Consul General Chennai and many other dignitaries. The objective of the department is to see how technology can intervene to either prevent an illness or diagnose quickly and treat the illness.

BENGALURU METRO
The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation, BMTC has started introducing eco-friendly buses on a Gross Cost Contract basis to reduce air pollution in the city of Bengaluru. It operates 90 non air conditioned nine meter electric buses as metro feeder services under the Bengaluru Smart City scheme. It also operates 937 non air conditioned 12 meter electric buses acquired through FAME II scheme. Under the same scheme it will introduce another 287 electric buses into service by the end of November this year. Under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment from DULT funds BMTC will add another 760 electric buses out of which 320 will be air conditioned 12 meter buses. The public transport Corporation claims to save 51000 litres of diesel every day by operating electric buses and hence preventing the release of 1.38 lakh kgs of carbon dioxide emissions every day. BMTC serves over 40 lakh passengers every day in the Garden city Bengaluru.

The South Western Railway has operationalised Lokapur railway station for handling goods traffic. This will enhance freight operations in the region. The Lokapur railway station is located in Mudhol taluk of Bagalkote district in Karnataka. This station will streamline freight movements, improve operational efficiency and support the growing needs of local businesses and industries as it will provide an additional gateway for the goods transportation in the Hubballi Division. Due to its strategic positioning in the area the sugarcane growers and cement industries will benefit. The station is capable of handling all kinds of goods, both inward and outward, except for petroleum, Oil and lubricants and crane consignments. The freight operations will be available from the station from morning 6.00 am to night 10.00pm.

HYDERABAD METRO
Telangana State Cabinet has granted legal sanctity to the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA). The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy yesterday in Hyderabad, held for three hours, focused extensively on providing HYDRAA with statutory powers to clear encroachments besides undertaking disaster management operations across the Telangana Core Urban Region (TCUR). The state government will issue an ordinance to formalize HYDRAA’s powers, which will be comparable to those of municipalities, revenue and irrigation departments. HYDRAA, once vested with legal authority, will serve as the sole unified agency responsible for clearing encroachments and disaster management within the TCUR, an area encompassing the GHMC region, along with parts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Sangareddy districts that fall within the Outer Ring Road (ORR). The newly empowered HYDRAA will have the authority to address issues related to encroachments in buffer zones, full tank levels (FTLs) of lakes, tanks, and nalas. Revenue and information and public relations minister P. Srinivas Reddy briefed the media about the cabinet meeting.

दिल्ली नगर निगम-एमसीडी ने चांदनी चौक के टाउन हॉल में कल स्वच्छता ही सेवा अभियान के तहत ‘फूड एंड म्यूजिक फेस्टिवल’ का आयोजन किया। शाहदरा उत्तरी जोन में भी स्वच्छता प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन किया गया। इस उत्सव में बड़ी संख्या में लोगों ने भाग लिया और संगीत के साथ-साथ भोजन का लुत्फ़ उठाया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य भोजन और संगीत उत्सव के माध्यम से सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर स्वच्छता के महत्व के बारे में नागरिकों को जागरूक करना है।
केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कल नई दिल्ली के हजरत निजामुद्दीन रेलवे स्टेशन से भारत-नेपाल मैत्री यात्रा पर्यटक रेल को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। इस रेल के माध्यम से पर्यटक भारत और नेपाल सीमा पर स्थित धार्मिक स्थलों का भ्रमण कर सकेंगे।
राजधानी दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में चल रहे चार दिवसीय वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया उत्सव के दूसरे दिन कल केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जगत प्रकाश नड्डा ने वैश्विक खाद्य नियामक शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने खाद्य सुरक्षा प्रणालियों में सुधार के लिए निरंतर सहयोग, नवाचार और प्रतिबद्धताओं का आह्वान किया है। श्री नड्डा ने आगे कहा कि तेजी से हो रहे वैश्वीकरण, तकनीकी प्रगति और बढ़ती उपभोक्ता प्राथमिकताएं, खाद्य प्रणालियों को नया रूप दे रही हैं। श्री नड्डा ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने वाले राज्यों को पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किये। केरल को पहले, तमिलनाडु को दूसरे और जम्मू-कश्मीर को तीसरे स्थान के लिए पुरस्कृत किया गया। गुजरात को विशेष उल्लेख पुरस्कार दिया गया। इस अवसर पर खाद्य मंत्री प्रल्हाद जोशी ने खाद्य नियामकों, अनुसंधान संगठनों और उपभोक्ता मामलों के विभागों के बीच सहयोग और नवाचार को बढ़ावा देने पर जोर दिया। इस अवसर पर श्री नड्डा और श्री जोशी ने भारत के खाद्य आयात अस्वीकृति चेतावनी पोर्टल-एफ आई आर ए सहित दो डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म भी शुरू किए। दोनों मंत्रियों ने दूरदर्शन में बाजरा रेसिपी शो की भी शुरूआत की और छठा राज्य खाद्य सुरक्षा सूचकांक 2023-24 भी जारी किया।

महाराष्ट्र में एक यात्री बस और ट्रक की टक्कर में छह लोगों की मृत्यु हो गई और 23 अन्य घायल हो गए। दुर्घटना कल सुबह शाहपुर गांव के पास जालना-वाडीगोदरी रोड पर हुई। बस चालक, तीन यात्री, ट्रक चालक और परिचालक की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। घायलों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।

आयकर कर्मचारी महासंघ ने पुरानी पेंशन योजना पर लौटने की अपील की है। फेडरेशन के 32वें प्रतिनिधि सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन कल कोलकाता में हुआ । फेडरेशन के अध्यक्ष एम एस वेंकटेशन ने कहा है कि वे पुरानी पेंशन योजना चाहते हैं। सम्मेलन 24 सितंबर तक चलेगा। महासचिव सुशांत चक्रवर्ती ने कहा कि बैठक में शामिल होने के लिए भारत भर से 260 प्रतिनिधि आए हैं, जिनमें पश्चिम बंगाल और सिक्किम के 200 अधिकारी और कर्मचारी शामिल हैं।

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace.
In that declaration, the United Nations’ most inclusive body recognized that peace “not only is the absence of conflict, but also requires a positive, dynamic participatory process where dialogue is encouraged and conflicts are solved in a spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation.”
In a world with rising geopolitical tensions and protracted conflicts, there has never been a better time to remember how the UN General Assembly came together in 1999 to lay out the values needed for a culture of peace. These include: respect for life, human rights and fundamental freedoms; the promotion of non-violence through education, dialogue and cooperation; commitment to peaceful settlement of conflicts;

अज़रा (अंग्रेज़ी: Azra, जन्म- 21 सितम्बर, मुम्बई) हिन्दी सिनेमा की जानी मानी अभिनेत्री हैं। उनके अभिनय से सजी फ़िल्मों की संख्या भले ही कम है, लेकिन जितनी भी फ़िल्में उन्होंने की हैं, वह उनकी अभिनय प्रतिभा का परिचय देने के लिए पर्याप्त है। अभिनेत्री अज़रा को फ़िल्म ‘मदर इंडिया’ (1957), ‘गंगा जमुना’ (1961) और ‘जंगली’ (1961) के लिए विशेषतौर पर जाना जाता है।

It’s interesting to note here that Scott became an instant best seller with historical narrative poems like The Lay of the Last Minstrel (1805), followed by The Lady of the Lake (1810), Rokeby (1813), and The Lord of the Isles (1815). He also wrote immensely successful historical novels. Scott’s many other novels include The Heart of Midlothian (1818), Rob Roy (1817), The Antiquary (1816), and Guy Mannering (1815).
अन्नपूर्णानंद वर्मा 21 सितंबर 1895 में जन्मे अन्नपूर्णानंद वर्मा हास्य लेखकों में अग्रणी हैं। उनके हास्य सिर्फ हास्य नहीं, बल्कि कोई न कोई सामाजिक मुद्दा उठाते हुए गढ़े गए हैं। उनकी कहानियां हल्के-फुल्के लहज़े में बड़ी बात कहने का हुनर जानती हैं। वर्मा जी 22 साल की उम्र से ही साहित्य की दुनिया से जुड़ गए थे। हिंदी साहित्य के शिष्ट हास्य साहित्य को ऊंचा उठाने में उनका महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। 4 दिसम्बर 1962 में 67 साल की उम्र में उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली। उनका पहला निबंध ‘खोपड़ी’ है, जिसे ‘मतलवाला’ में प्रकाशित किया गया था। गौरतलब है कि मतलवाला हिंदी की प्रमुख व्यंग्य पत्रिका रही है, जिसका पहला प्रकाशन साल 1923 में कोलकाता से हुआ था, जो कि हिंदी की पहली हास्य व्यंग्य पत्रिका थी। उनकी अधिकतर कहानियों में काशी को चित्रित किया गया है. वह लिखते बहुत कम थे, लेकिन उन्होंने प्रमुख तौर पर कहानियां ही लिखीं. उनकी अधिकतर कहानियां समाज की कुरीतियों पर व्यंग्य हैं, जिनके माध्यम से उन्होंने समाज को जागरुक करने का काम किया। वर्मा जी की प्रकाशित रचनाएं ‘मनमयूर’, ‘मेरी हजामत’, ‘मंगलमोद’, ‘मगन रहु चोला’, ‘महाकवि चच्चा’ और ‘पं. विलासी मिश्र’ आदि हैं। वर्मा जी की कहानी ‘अकबरी लोटा’ को सबसे ज्यादा लोकप्रियता मिली। यह एक हास्य व्यंग्य है। कहानी आपदा में भी अवसर की तलाश करती नज़र आती है और संदेश भी यही देती है, कि मनुष्य यदि स्वयं को संयमित और शांत रखे तो बड़ी से बड़ी उलझन को सुलझाने में कामयाब हो सकता है. यह बेहद मज़ेदार कहानी है, कहानी की भाषा आम बोलचाल की भाषा है और कुछ जगहों पर अंग्रेज़ी के शब्दों का भी इस्तेमाल हुआ है।

रामानुज प्रसाद सिंह (अंग्रेज़ी: Ramanuj Prasad Singh, जन्म- 5 दिसम्बर, 1935; मृत्यु- 21 सितम्बर, 2021) आकाशवाणी के प्रसिद्ध समाचार वक्ता थे। सन 1960 में आकाशवाणी से जुड़े रामानुज प्रसाद सिंह ने लबे समय तक आकाशवाणी पर ख़बरें पढ़ने का कार्य किया। सुबह, दोपहर और शाम के प्राइम बुलेटिनों में सालों तक समाचार पढ़ने के कारण रामानुज प्रसाद सिंह आम लोगों में एक जाना-पहचाना नाम बने गये थे। वह कवि और साहित्य कुलगुरु रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ के अनुज सत्यनारायण जी के बेटे यानी दिनकर जी के भतीजे थे।
