प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज नागरिक विमानन के बारे में आयोजित दूसरे एशिया-प्रशांत मंत्रिस्तरीय सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे। नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में आयोजित सम्मेलन में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी सदस्य देशों से “दिल्ली घोषणापत्र” को अपनाने का ऐलान करेंगे। दिल्ली घोषणापत्र विमानन क्षेत्र को नई ऊंचाइयों तक पहुंचाने का एक दूरदर्शी रोडमैप है।

Union Cabinet has given its nod to giving health coverage to all senior citizens who are above 70 years irrespective of income under Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana with an outlay of 3 thousand 437 crore rupees. Briefing the media after the Cabinet meeting in New Delhi yesterday, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting -Ashwini Vaishnaw said this is a very  significant decision and the commitment made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard, has been fulfilled with this decision. Mr Vaishnaw  said  the senior citizens will get the facility of free treatment up to 5 lakh rupees. He highlighted that this will cover about 4.5 crore families in the country, and include about 6 crore senior citizens.
Mr Vaishnaw added that AB PM-JAY is the world’s largest health assurance scheme which provides health cover of  5 lakh  rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization to 55 crore individuals corresponding to 12.34 crore families. The Union Minister said  that the eligible senior citizens would be issued a new distinct card under AB- PMJAY. The senior citizens of the 70 years and above belonging to families already covered under AB-PMJAY will get an additional top-up cover upto 5 lakh rupees per year for themselves. All other senior citizens of 70 years and above will get a cover upto 5 lakh rupees per year on a family basis. Senior citizens of the age 70 years and above who are already availing benefits of other public health insurance schemes such as Central Government Health Scheme, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Ayushman Central Armed Police Force  may either choose their existing scheme or opt for AB-PMJAY. Senior citizens of 70 years and above who are under private health insurance policies or Employees’ State Insurance scheme will be eligible to avail benefits under AB-PMJAY.

केन्‍द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने वित्‍तीय वर्ष 2024-25 से 2028-29 के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री ग्राम सड़क योजना के चौथे चरण के कार्यान्‍वयन के लिए ग्रामीण विकास विभाग के प्रस्‍ताव को मंजरी दे दी है। इस कार्यक्रम पर कुल 70 हजार एक सौ 25 करोड़ की लागत आएगी। नई दिल्‍ली में मीडिया को संबोधित करते हुए सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्‍णव ने कहा है कि इस कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत 62 हजार पांच किलोमीटर लंबी सडकें बनाने के लिए वित्‍तीय सहायता दी जाएगी।

सभी मौसम में काम करने वाली सड़कें दूर-दराज के ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में अपेक्षित सामाजिक आर्थिका विकास और परिवर्तन लाने में प्ररेक भूमिका अदा करेंगी।

केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने 3 हजार 4 सौ 35 करोड़ रुपये के परिव्यय के साथ सार्वजनिक परिवहन प्राधिकरणों द्वारा ई-बसों की खरीद और संचालन के लिए पीएम-ईबस सेवा-भुगतान सुरक्षा तंत्र योजना को मंजूरी दे दी है। सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने नई दिल्ली में मीडिया को इसकी जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि इस योजना में वर्ष 2024-25 से 2028-29 तक 38 हजार से अधिक इलेक्ट्रिक बसें परिचालित की जाएंगी।

Indian Air Force is conducting one of its largest multinational air exercises, Tarang Shakti-24, in Jodhpur. On the sidelines of the event, the lAF is also hosting the India Defence Aviation Exposition IDAX-24 which will be inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today. This edition of IDAX, scheduled from September 12-14, will have a grand participation from the industry hosting a wide range of products and technologies. The event will provide an opportunity for the Friendly Foreign Countries and Indian audience to witness, experience and interact with participants from the Indian aviation industry, including DPSUs, DRDO, private industries and top-notch startups. The filing of nominations for third and last phase of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will end today. Forty assembly constituencies will to polls in this phase on October 1. While the scrutiny of the nomination papers will take place tomorrow, the last date for withdrawal of candidature is September 17.

The polling for the first two phases of polls in Jammu and Kashmir will be held on September 18 and September 25.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be on a two-day visit to Switzerland beginning today. This is the third and final leg of his 3-nation visit to Saudi Arabia, Germany and Switzerland. In Geneva, External Affairs Minister will meet heads and representatives of international organisations with whom India is actively engaged. He will also meet the Swiss Foreign Minister to review the close partnership between the two countries and explore avenues to enhance the bilateral relationship further.

Earlier yesterday, Dr Jaishankar called on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin and conveyed the personal greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

English School clinched the Junior Boys title of the 63rd Subroto Cup International Football Tournament, defeating Meghalaya’s Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School 4-3 via a sudden-death tiebreaker, after both teams were tied 1-1 in regulation time. The final match was played at BR Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. It was the third time in history, first in 44 years, that a team from Manipur lifted the coveted trophy.

CHENNAI METRO

The Greater Chennai Corporation has tied up with certified trainers who will teach Taekwondo moves including close hand strikes, open hand techniques to students.

Mayor Priya who exhibited her skills in self defence techniques told that the proposed training will boost the confidence for girls and will equip them with the ability to respond in emergencies. The students will be well trained to compete in National games. There is also a request to extend the training to the boys.

Jabil, a leading supplier for Apple, HP and CISCO – US based Jabil is investing 2000 Crore rupees in a manufacturing facility at Manapparai near Trichy that could create direct and indirect employment for around five thousand persons has signed a  memorandum of understanding in Chicago with the Tamil Nadu Government. This takes Apple’s manufacturing ecosystem in the State beyond Chennai and Krishnagiri. Jabil’s facility will provide employment to people in Trichy, Pudukottai, Madurai , Dindigul, Karur and Thanjavur.

Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister- MB Patil met foreign diplomats in New Delhi with an invitation to participate in the Global Investors Meet organised in Bengaluru in February next year. MB Patil met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with a request to ease restrictions on defence companies interested in setting up production units in the country. He also requested for a defence corridor in Karnataka. The Industries minister from the state requested – Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to revoke GST on air-freight and reduce import tariff on electronics.

Lot of action was seen in the 77th Senior National Aquatic Championship in Mangaluru in Karnataka. Tamil Nadu’s Pramiti Gnanasekaran, Danush Suresh, Bendection Rohit and Deeksha Sivakumar created a new national record in the 4 X 100 meters event with a timing of 4:05:30 breaking the previous record of 4:06:84 held by a team from Maharashtra in the previous year. Vritti Agarwal from Telangana touched the pads at 17:45:63 in the Women’s 1500 m freestyle. In the Women’s 100 m Freestyle tough competition was seen between Mahi Swetraj of Bihar, Shivangi Sarma of RSPB and Aditi Satish Hegde of Maharashtra. However Mahi finished first with a time of 58.54 while Shivangi and Aditi finished second with 59:17. In the Men’s 100 m Freestyle, Srihari Natraj from Karnataka came on top with a time of 50:59 followed by Anand of Services Sports Control Board who clocked 50:77.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan donated One crore rupees to Telangana flood relief. He called on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy yesterday and handed over the cheque.  The meeting comes in the wake of severe floods that have affected both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States due to incessant rains. Overflowing rivers, including the Munneru, have caused significant flooding. The Munneru rivulet in the state reached record levels, flooding parts of Khammam city. The floods have severely impacted residents, especially in low-lying areas.

दिल्‍ली सरकार राजधानी में प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित करने के लिए ग्रामीण दिल्‍ली के खेतों में बायो डी-कंपोजर का निःशुल्क छिड़काव करवाएगी। इस छिड़काव से धान की पराली को गलाया जाएगा, ताकि शहर के वायु प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित किया जा सके।

हरित पर्यावरण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र परिवहन निगम- द्वारा दिल्ली-गाज़ियाबाद-मेरठ आर.आर.टी.एस. कॉरिडॉर पर बन रहे न्यू अशोक नगर स्‍टेशन पर नौ सौ सोलर पावर पैनल स्थापित किये जायेंगे। इन पैनल को स्टेशन की छत पर लगाया जायेगा, जिससे प्रति वर्ष साढ़े छह लाख यूनिट से ज्यादा की बिजली पैदा होगी।

पश्चिम बंगाल जूनियर डॉक्टर्स फ्रंट में शामिल जूनियर डॉक्टर आरजी कर दुष्कर्म और हत्या मामले की पीड़िता डॉक्टर को न्याय दिलाने के लिए साल्ट लेक में स्वास्थ्य भवन के बाहर प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं। डॉक्टरों ने मंगलवार को प्रमुख स्वास्थ्य सचिव की ओर से भेजे गए प्रस्ताव को खारिज कर दिया। डॉक्टरों ने मुख्यमंत्री ममता बैनर्जी के साथ बैठक की मांग की थी, जिसका लाइव प्रसारण किया जाएगा।

Today is Jaikishan Dahyabhai Panchal’s Death Anniversary. He is often referred to simply as Jaikishan. He was a highly influential Indian music composer who, along with his music partner Shankar formed the renowned duo Shankar -Jaikishan.

जयकिशन दयाभाई पंकल (मृत्यु:- 12 सितम्बर 1971) भारतीय सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार थे। इन्होंने अपनी जोड़ी संगीतकार शंकर सिंह रघुवंशी के साथ मिलकर बनाई और शंकर-जयकिशन नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुए। जयकिशन और शंकर की जोड़ी ने दिल अपना प्रीत पराई, मेरा नाम जोकर, ब्रहमचारी समेत 170 से भी ज्यादा फ़िल्मों में संगीत दिया। संगीत क्षेत्र में अपने योगदान के लिए इन्हें नौ बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ संगीतकार का फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार दिया गया।

The duo worked together from 1949 to 1971. Jaikishan was known for his work on background scores, romantic songs, and catchy hits. Some of their famous works include Barsaat, Aawara, Poonam, Badal, Nagina,  Aah, Patita, Kali Ghata, and Parbat. They were the most successful and celebrated music directors in the Indian Film industry.

Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay Birth Anniversary

Bibhutibhushan was a renowned Bengali author and novelist celebrated for his literary contributions to Indian Literature particularly in the fiction genre. He is best known for his evocative storytelling and his ability to capture the beauty and simplicity of rural life in his works. He was born in 1894, in the small village of Jeorapara in the Dinajpur district of Bengal which is now part of Bangladesh.

In 1913, Olympic legend Jesse Owens was born in Oakville, Alabama. James Cleveland “Jesse” Owens was an American track and field athlete who won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympic Games. नॉर्मन अर्नेस्ट बोरलॉग (मृत्यु- 12 सितम्बर, 2009) नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेता अमेरिकी कृषि विज्ञानी थे, जिन्हें हरित क्रांति का पिता माना जाता है। नॉर्मन बोरलॉग ने मेक्सिको में बीमारियों से लड़ सकने वाली गेहूं की एक नई किस्म विकसित की थी। इसके पीछे समझ थी कि अगर पौधे की लंबाई कम कर दी जाए, तो इससे बची हुइ ऊर्जा उसके बीजों यानी दानों में लगेगी, जिससे दाना ज्यादा बढ़ेगा, लिहाजा कुल फसल उत्पादन बढ़ेगा। भारत सरकार की ओर से इन्हें पद्म विभूषण से नवाज़ा गया। नॉर्मन बोरलॉग को ‘नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार’, भी प्रदान किया गया था और इस पुरस्‍कार को प्राप्‍त करते हुए उन्‍होंने कुछ यूं कहा था .

बलदेव प्रसाद मिश्र (जन्म= 12 सितम्बर, 1898; ) हिन्दी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार थे। उन्होंने हिन्दी में अपना शोध प्रबन्ध प्रस्तुत कर ‘डी लिट्’ की उपाधि अर्जित की थी। बलदेव प्रसाद मिश्र ने ‘तुलसी दर्शन’ पर विशेष कार्य किया। डॉ. बलदेव प्रसाद मिश्र ने अपने जीवन काल में लगभग 100 किताबें लिखीं। उन्हें मुख्य रूप से अपने नाटक ‘शंकर दिग्विजय’ के लिए जाना जाता है।
