यूक्रेन के राष्ट्रपति वोलोदेमिर जेलेंस्की ने कहा है कि भारत, यूक्रेन और रूस के बीच संघर्ष समाप्त करने में वैश्विक राजनयिक प्रयासों के अंतर्गत महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकता है। श्री जेलेंस्की का यह बयान प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की यूक्रेन की पहली यात्रा के बाद आया है। श्री जेलेंस्की प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के साथ द्विपक्षीय वार्ता के बाद भारतीय मीडिया को संबोधित कर रहे थे। वार्ता के दौरान श्री मोदी ने श्री जेलेंस्की से कहा कि यूक्रेन और रूस दोनों देशों को बिना समय गवांये एक-साथ बैठकर संघर्ष समाप्त करने के लिए बातचीत करनी चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत, फरवरी 2022 में संघर्ष शुरू होने के बाद से ही शांति का पक्षधर है।
यूक्रेन के राष्ट्रपति ने भारत की मेजबानी में ग्लोबल साउथ देशों के दूसरे यूक्रेन शांति शिखर सम्मेलन के आयोजन का भी प्रस्ताव दिया। पहला यूक्रेन शांति शिखर सम्मेलन जून में स्विटजरलैंड में आयोजित किया गया था। इसमें 90 से अधिक देशों और वैश्विक संस्थानों ने भाग लिया था। भारत ने कहा कि वो यूक्रेन संघर्ष के शांतिपूर्ण समाधान के लिए सभी पक्षों के साथ बातचीत करता रहेगा। 9 घंटे की यूक्रेन की इस यात्रा से लगभग छह सप्ताह पहले ही प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने रूस के राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन के साथ भी शिखर वार्ता की थी। प्रधानमंत्री ने देशों की क्षेत्रीय अखंडता और संप्रभुता के सम्मान के लिए भारत की प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई। श्री जेलेंस्की ने कहा कि भारत यूक्रेन की राष्ट्रीय अखंडता और संप्रभुता का समर्थन करता है और ये महत्वपूर्ण है कि विश्व में प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को संयुक्त राष्ट्र के चार्टर का समान रूप से सम्मान करना चाहिए।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की यूक्रेन की ऐतिहासिक यात्रा सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हो गई है। सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में, श्री मोदी ने कहा कि उन्होंने भारत-यूक्रेन मित्रता को और प्रगाढ करने के उद्देश्य से यूक्रेन की यात्रा की है। श्री मोदी ने कहा कि यूक्रेन के राष्ट्रपति के साथ उनकी सार्थक बातचीत हुई।

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin reviewed the existing defence cooperation activities and discussed ways to deepen it further during a bilateral meeting at Pentagon last night. They held wide-ranging discussions on bilateral defence cooperation, industrial collaboration, regional security and other international issues. Mr Singh reached Washington on Thursday on a four-day visit to the United States.
During the meeting with his US counterpart, Mr Singh highlighted the various co-development and co-production opportunities in India in the areas identified in the India-US Defence Industrial Cooperation Roadmap, which was adopted last year. Both the Ministers expressed happiness on the conclusion of the Security of Supplies Arrangement (SOSA) between India and US.
In a statement, the Defence Ministry said, both the Ministers appreciated the progress made in operationalising the Indo-Pacific Maritime Domain Awareness, a Quad initiative and lauded the ongoing efforts by India to enhance the Maritime Domain Awareness for the partners in the Indian Ocean Region.

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह छत्तीसगढ़ के तीन दिवसीय दौरे पर कल रात रायपुर पहुंचे। वे आज नक्सल विरोधी अभियानों पर कई बैठकों की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। श्री शाह आज सुबह रायपुर जिले के चंपारण में महाप्रभु वल्लभाचार्य आश्रम जायेंगे। बाद में वे अंतरराज्यीय समन्वय पर छत्तीसगढ़ और पड़ोसी राज्यों के मुख्य सचिवों और पुलिस महानिदेशकों (डीजीपी) की बैठक की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। वे राज्य के वामपंथी उग्रवाद प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में सुरक्षा और विकास पर एक बैठक की अध्यक्षता भी करेंगे।
पिछले वर्ष विधानसभा चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के सत्ता में आने के बाद से छत्तीसगढ़ में नक्सल विरोधी अभियान तेज हो गए हैं। इस वर्ष अब तक राज्य में सुरक्षा बलों के साथ मुठभेड में 142 नक्सली मारे गये हैं।
श्री अमित शाह कल रायपुर में नारकोटिक्स कंट्रोल ब्यूरो के कार्यालय का उद्घाटन करेंगे और एक समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। इसके बाद वे छत्तीसगढ़ में सहकारी क्षेत्र के विस्तार पर एक बैठक की भी अध्यक्षता करेंगे।

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has asked Food Business Operators (FBOs) and e-commerce FBOs to remove all claims regarding A1 and A2 types of milk and milk products from all packaging. FSSAI’s instructions came after it found that several FBOs were selling milk and dairy products such as ghee, butter, and curd under the A1 and A2 classification using FSSAI license numbers. The food regulator added that the A1 and A2 differentiation of milk is essentially linked to a difference in the structure of protein, and therefore, any A2 claims on milk fat products are misleading and not in conformance with the provisions of the FSS Act 2006 and its regulations.

भारतीय खाद्य संरक्षा और मानक प्राधिकरण ने राज्यों से कीटनाशकों के उपयोग को कम करने और किसान स्तर पर कीटनाशकों की निगरानी और विनियमन के लिए अंतर-मंत्रालयी समिति स्थापित करने का आग्रह किया है। केंद्रीय सलाहकार समिति की 44वीं बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए प्राधिकरण के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी जी. कमला वर्धन राव ने कहा कि इस पहल का उद्देश्य यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि कृषि पद्धतियां सुरक्षित और टिकाऊ रहें। उन्होंने कहा कि यह उपभोक्ताओं को भोजन में कीटनाशक अवशेषों से जुड़े संभावित स्वास्थ्य जोखिमों से भी बचाएगा। श्री राव ने कहा कि राज्यों में ऐसे प्रमुख स्थानों की पहचान करनी चाहिए जहां मोबाइल लैब- फूड सेफ्टी ऑन व्हील्स तैनात किए जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि ये मोबाइल प्रयोगशालाएं उपभोक्ता जागरूकता बढ़ाने और खाद्य सुरक्षा प्रथाओं के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी के प्रसार में सहायक होंगी।

In a major decision to facilitate voting by Kashmiri migrants in Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Election Commission of India (ECI) has set up 24 special polling stations in Jammu, Udhampur and Delhi. Kashmiri migrant voters, who are residing at various relief camps in Jammu, Udhampur can cast their votes at 24 polling stations, including 19 in Jammu, 1 in Udhampur and 4 in Delhi. The voting for Assembly elections will be held in all 90 constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir in three phases on 18th and 25th of September, and 1st of October.

जम्मू-कश्मीर में विधानसभा चुनाव के पहले चरण में 5 लाख 66 हजार युवाओं सहित 23 लाख 27 हजार से अधिक मतदाता अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग करेंगे। पहले चरण में 18 सितंबर को 7 जिलों की 24 विधानसभा सीटों पर मतदान होगा। कश्मीर डिवीजन के अनंतनाग, पुलवामा, शोपियां, कुलगाम जिलों और जम्मू संभाग में डोडा, रामबन तथा किस्तवाड जिलों के लिए अधिसूचना जारी की गई है। कश्मीर संभाग में 16 और जम्मू में 8 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में पहले चरण के दौरान वोट डालें जायेंगे।

Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has asked all the central government hospitals and medical institutes to design the new dress code for convocation ceremony. The Ministry has written a letter to all the Heads of the Central Government Hospitals and Medical Teaching Institutes in this regard. The Ministry emphasised the importance of this change as a step towards breaking away from colonial legacies and embracing India’s rich cultural tapestry. It said, the various institutes use black robe and cap during convocation ceremony and this tradition originated in the middle ages in Europe and has colonial legacy. The Ministry directed the institutes to design appropriate Indian dress code for the Convocation Ceremony based on local traditions of the State in which Institute is located.

The bodies of 24 people belonging to Jalgaon district of Maharashtra who lost their lives in the Nepal bus accident will be brought back today. The bodies will be brought to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, and from there, they will be transported to Nashik in an Indian Air Force aircraft, and then they will be handed over to their families. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior officials about bringing the dead bodies back to Maharashtra.
Mr. Shinde expressed grief about the deaths of these 24 people and extended condolences to the grieving families. He also contacted the relief and rehabilitation officers in the state and the centre and took stock of the relief operation in Nepal.

जॉर्डन के अम्मान में चल रही अंडर-17 विश्व कुश्ती चैंपियनशिप में भारतीय महिलाओं ने अपना दबदबा कायम रखते हुए एक सौ 85 अंकों के साथ अपना पहला खिताब जीता। जापान एक सौ 46 अंकों के साथ दूसरे और कजाखस्तान उन्यासी अंकों के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर रहा। भारत की ओर से काजल स्वर्ण पदक जीतने वाली देश की पांचवीं महिला पहलवान बनीं। काजल ने उनहत्तर किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में यूक्रेन की ऑलेक्ज़ेंड्रा रयबक को 9-2 से हराकर जीत हासिल की। वहीं श्रुतिका पाटिल ने 46 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में रजत पदक अपने नाम किया। राज बाला ने 40 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में जापान की मोनाका उमेकावा को 11-5 से हराकर कांस्य पदक जीता, जबकि मुस्कान ने 53 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में अमेरिका की इसाबेला गोंजालेस को तकनीकी श्रेष्ठता के आधार पर हराकर कांस्य पदक अपने नाम किया। प्रतियोगिता में भारतीय महिलाओं ने पांच स्वर्ण, एक रजत और दो कांस्य सहित कुल आठ पदक जीते। वहीं दूसरी ओर, भारतीय पुरुष पहलवान फ्रीस्टाइल स्पर्धा में कोई भी पदक जीतने में असफल रहे। भारत के पास अब चैंपियनशिप में कुल 10 पदक हो गए हैं, जिसमें ग्रीको-रोमन कुश्ती स्पर्धा के दो कांस्य पदक शामिल हैं।

CHENNAI METRO
The State Government has distributed deworming tablets to students below 19 years of age as part of the National campaign to prevent parasitic worms from affecting their mental and physical development. The tablets- Albendazole were also distributed to lakh women in the age group of 20 to 30 years of age. The program is conducted once in six months. The second round of deworming will be conducted till the 30th of this month. The Director of Public health Dr.T.S.Selvavinayagam said that the whole tablet is powdered and dissolved in water for 2 to 5 years. According to the World health Organisation, nearly a quarter of the World’s population is infected with intestinal worms.
And in another news, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical sciences Chennai signed a memorandum of understanding with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh United Kingdom. This agreement establishes the College as the first centre in India recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons to conduct the faculty of dental surgery examinations in Chennai. Establishment of Saveetha as an examination centre is significant for students in India and neighbouring countries as by bringing the examination process closer home.

BENGALURU METRO
Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for the Monkeypox virus epidemic if it is reported in the state. Speaking to the media persons later, the minister said that there is nothing to panic at this stage. He said that the guidelines and advisories issued by the Union Health ministry are being followed. The Victoria hospital in Bengaluru has arranged the testing and screening of patients suspected of the viral infection. There are 50 isolation beds arranged for such patients and tests are conducted at free of cost. Personal Protective equipment, PPE kits are in place to manage potential cases. The minister informed that India has not reported any Monkeypox cases yet however the BMCRI affiliated hospitals are kept on high alert with preparations made to handle any developments.

दिल्ली की महापौर डॉ, शैली ओबरॉय ने दिल्ली नगर निगम के सचिव के चुनाव प्रक्रिया को शुरू करने का कल निर्देश दिया। एक आधिकारिक नोटिस के द्वारा महापौर ओबारॉय ने सूचित किया कि इस चुनाव द्वारा वार्ड समिति के अध्यक्ष और उपाध्यक्ष के साथ-साथ वार्ड समिति से स्थायी समिति के एक सदस्य का चुनाव होगा। चुनाव घोषित करने के लिए उन्होंने पिछले वर्ष पांच अगस्त के दिल्ली सरकार बनाम दिल्ली उपराज्यपाल कार्यालय नामक सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के निर्णय का हवाला दिया है।
दिल्ली मेट्रो ने चरण-III कॉरिडोर की मेट्रो सेवाओं के समय में परिवर्तन किया है। अब रविवार को मेट्रो सेवाएं सुबह 8 बजे के स्थान पर 6 और 7 बजे से शुरू होगीं। दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन ने बताया कि दिलशाद गार्डन से शहीद स्थल (नया बस स्टैंड), नोएडा सिटी सेंटर से नोएडा इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सिटी, मुंडका से ब्रिगेडियर होशियार सिंह और बदरपुर बॉर्डर से राजा नाहर सिंह (बल्लभगढ़) तक चलने वाली मेट्रो सेवाएं सुबह 6 बजे से शुरू होंगी। मजलिस पार्क से शिव विहार, बॉटनिकल गार्डन से जनकपुरी पश्चिम और ढांसा बस स्टैंड से द्वारका तक चलने वाली मेट्रो सेवाएं सुबह 7 बजे से आरंभ होगी। इससे न केवल यात्रियों को सुविधा होगी बल्कि विभिन्न प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं में बैठने वाले छात्रों और आवेदकों को भी लाभ होगा क्योंकि आम तौर पर परीक्षाएं रविवार को होती हैं। मेट्रो नेटवर्क के अन्य सभी कॉरिडोर पर सेवाएं नियमित समय सुबह 6 बजे से चलती रहेंगी।
राजधानी में कल दिनभर वर्षा होने के कारण विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में जलभराव की समस्या बनी रहीं। यातायात पुलिस ने बताया कि उन्हें यातायात समस्याओं की 15 और जलभराव की 12 शिकायतें मिली हैं। दिल्ली के धौला कुआं, दिल्ली कैंट, रिज रोड, सरदार पटेल मार्ग, जी.टी.के. रोड, मोती बाग चौक, रोहतक रोड, रिंग रोड और वंदे मातरम मार्ग सहित अनेक क्षेत्रों में लोगों को जलभराव की समस्या से परेशान होना पडा। इसी बीच, राजधानी में राजनीतिक आरोप-प्रत्यारोप का दौर जारी रहा।
नई दिल्ली के आई.एन.ए. स्थित दिल्ली हाट में इस महीने की 16 तारीख से ‘शिल्प दीदी महोत्सव’ चल रहा है। इस महोत्सव में देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों से आई शिल्प दीदीयां के द्वारा हस्त निर्मित वस्तुएं लोगों के लिए आकर्षण का केंद्र है। इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय वस्त्र मंत्री गिरिराज सिंह ने शिल्प दीदियों से बातचीत की और उनके सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों को जाना तथा समझा।

केंद्रीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने कल मुंबई में इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट्स ऑफ इंडिया के पश्चिमी भारत क्षेत्रीय परिषद के 38वें क्षेत्रीय सम्मेलन में “विकसित भारत@2047 – रोड मैप” पर भाषण दिया, जिसमें भारत के आर्थिक विकास की भावी दिशा को रेखांकित किया गया। इस अवसर पर श्री गोयल ने कहा कि आज भारत दुनिया में एक प्रतिष्ठित स्थान पर है, जबकि विकसित देश मंदी और उच्च मुद्रास्फीति का सामना कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत, रेगिस्तान में एक नखलिस्तान की तरह है। उन्होंने बताया कि हाल ही में अंतरराष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष ने भारत की विकास दर 7 प्रतिशत बताई है और कहा कि वह भारत की विकास दर को दोहरे अंकों में देखना चाहते हैं। श्री गोयल ने आगे कहा कि दुनिया भर में विभिन्न स्थानों पर युद्ध के बावजूद, भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था और निर्यात बढ़ रहे हैं।
महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने कल कहा कि बदलापुर यौन उत्पीड़न मामले की पृष्ठभूमि में सरकार ‘लड़की बहन’ योजना के साथ-साथ ‘सुरक्षित बहन’ योजना भी शुरू करेगी और उसे लागू करेगी। महिला सशक्तिकरण अभियान के अंतर्गत महिलाओं की सभा को संबोधित करते हुए, श्री शिंदे ने दोहराया कि ‘लड़की बहन’ योजना आगामी राज्य विधानसभा चुनावों के बाद भी जारी रहेगी। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि अगस्त की समय सीमा के बाद जो महिलाएं इस योजना के लाभ के लिए आवेदन करेंगी, उन्हें वित्तीय सहायता भी मिलेगी।

कोलकाता–
पश्चिम बंगाल में महिला डॉक्टर दुष्कर्म और हत्या मामले में गिरफ्तार संजय राय को कल कोलकाता की एक अदालत ने 14 दिन की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया। इससे पहले उसे 14 दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेजा गया था। बाद में उसे सीबीआई को सौंप दिया गया। इस बीच राज्य के स्वास्थ्य सचिव नारायण स्वरूप निगम ने रेजिडेंट डॉक्टरों से काम पर लौटने का आग्रह किया है। श्री निगम ने बताया कि मेडिकल कॉलेज के नये चिकित्सा अधीक्षक सह उप प्राचार्य तथा प्राचार्य ने कार्यभार ग्रहण कर लिया है। उन्होंने बताया कि चेस्ट मेडिसिन के प्रमुख और सहायक अधीक्षक का तबादला भी कर दिया गया है।

अब बात करे ले उन विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्वों की जो आज के दिन इस दुनिया में आएं और आज ही के दिन इस दुनिया को अलविदा कहा।
शिवराम हरि राजगुरु (अंग्रेज़ी: Rajguru; जन्म- 24 अगस्त, 1908, पुणे, महाराष्ट्र; बलिदान- 23 मार्च, 1931, लाहौर) हम स्मरण कर रहे है उस स्वतंत्रता सेनानी को मात्र 23 बरस की उम्र में देश की खातिर फांसी के फंदे को चूम लिया. बात शिव राम हरि राजगुरु की .24 अगस्त 1908 को पुणे महाराष्ट्र में इनका जन्म हुआ। ये सरदार भगत सिंह और सुखदेव के घनिष्ठ मित्र थे। इस मित्रता को राजगुरु ने मृत्यु पर्यंत निभाया। देश की आजादी के लिए दिये गये राजगुरु के बलिदान ने इनका नाम भारतीय इतिहास में स्वर्ण अक्षरों में अंकित करवा दिया। राजगुरु, भगत सिंह और सुखदेव का बलिदान आज भी भारत के युवकों को प्रेरणा प्रदान करता है।
राजगुरु को 23 मार्च, 1931 की शाम सात बजे लाहौर के केंद्रीय कारागार में उनके दोस्तों भगत सिंह और सुखदेव के साथ फ़ाँसी पर लटका दिया गया।
Rajguru became a colleague of Bhagat Singh & Sukhdev Thapar, and took part in the assassination of a British police officer, J. P. “John” Saunders, at Lahore on 17 December 1928. Their actions were to avenge the beating of Lala Lajpat Rai by the police while on a march protesting the Simon Commission.
राजगुरु के जन्म शती के अवसर पर भारत सरकार के प्रकाशन विभाग ने उन पर संभवत पहली बार कोई पुस्तक प्रकाशित की। इस सराहनीय प्रयास के लिए न केवल प्रकाशन विभाग धन्यवाद का पात्र है बल्कि उस लेखक को भी कोटि कोटि बधाई है

Today is the birth anniversary of Pandit Basavraj Rajguru, a leading Indian classical vocalist in the Kirana gharana. Basavaraj was fond of music from a very young age. In 1936 at the 600th anniversary of the Vijayanagara Empire in Hampi, Basavraj gave his first concert with his guru Gawai. Basavraj’s repertoire ranged from the pure classical, Khyal, to Vachanas, Natyageet, Thumri, and Ghazal spanning eight languages.
बसवराज राजगुरु (अंग्रेज़ी: Basavaraj Rajguru, जन्म- 24 अगस्त, 1917; मृत्यु- 1991) हम याद कर रहे हैं सुप्रसिद्ध शास्त्रीय गायक बसवराज राजगुरु को, जिन्हें ‘हिंदुस्तानी संगीत का राजा’ कहा जाता है। इनका जन्म 24 अगस्त 1917 को हुआ था। पंडित मल्लिकार्जुन मंसूर और कुमार गंधर्व के साथ पंडित बसवराज राजगुरु ने संगीतकारों की धारवाड़ त्रिमूर्ति का गठन किया था। उन्हें कर्नाटक विश्वविद्यालय से कई पुरस्कार और मानद डॉक्टरेट की उपाधि मिली थी। बसवराज राजगुरु को लगभग 40 रागों का व्यापक ज्ञान था और उनके प्रदर्शनों की सूची में ग़ज़ल, ठुमरी और ख्याल शामिल थे।
बसवराज राजगुरु किराना घराने में शास्त्रीय संगीत में सर्वश्रेष्ठ थे। वह अपने समकालीनों भीमसेन जोशी और गंगूबाई हंगल के बीच जाने पहचाने जाते थे। बसवराज राजगुरु का जन्म एक ऐसे परिवार में हुआ था, जिसका संगीत, ज्योतिष और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में मजबूत आधार था। उन्होंने संगीत में प्रारंभिक प्रशिक्षण अपने पिता, से प्राप्त किया जो स्वयम कर्नाटक संगीत के मर्मज्ञ थे. विशिष्टता यह कि बसव राज आठ भाषाओं में गा सकते थे. 1955 में नांदेड़ में लगातार बारहव घंटे तक गायन कर अपने श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध ही नहीं बल्कि आश्चर्यचकित कर दिया था.
सम्मान और पुरस्कारों की बात करें तो 1775 में पद्मश्री और 1991 में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया। और इसी वर्ष यानी 1991 ये अनन्त यात्रा पर निकल गए।

अंजलि देवी का जन्म अंजनम्मा के रूप में 24 अगस्त 1927 में तत्कालीन मद्रास प्रेसीडेंसी के पेद्दापुरम गांव में हुआ था. उन्होंने 8 साल की उम्र में एक नृत्य-नाटक कलाकार के रूप में अपना करियर शुरू किया. 9 साल की उम्र में, उन्होंने तेलुगु फिल्म हरिश्चंद्र में एक बाल कलाकार के रूप में अपनी फिल्म की शुरुआत की। अंजलि देवी एक अनुभवी तेलुगु और तमिल अभिनेत्री और निर्माता थी। लवकुश में सीता के रूप में अपनी पौराणिक भूमिका और सुवर्ण सुंदरी और अनारकली जैसी फिल्मों में भूमिकाओं के लिए जानी जाती हैं। हिंदी सिनेता में उन्हें जैमिनी गणेशन के साथ देवता और महिपाल तथा भक्त प्रह्लाद के साथ सती सावित्रि में उनकी भूमिकाओं के लिए जाना जाता है। सती सावित्रि में उनपर फिल्माए गए गीत जैसे – तुम गगन के चन्द्रमा हो, जीवन डोर तुम्ही संग बांधे, कभी तो मिलोगो, आज भी लोकप्रिय हैं।
उन्होंने 350 से अधिक तेलुगु फिल्मों, कुछ तमिल और कन्नड फिल्मों में नायिका के रूप में अभिनय किया। निर्माता के रूप में भी उन्होंने 27 फिल्म का निर्माण किया। 13 जनवरी 2014 को उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली।

Today is the birth anniversary of Sanjukta Panigrahi, a dancer from India, who was the foremost exponent of Indian classical dance Odissi and ensured its grand revival. In recognition of her contribution to dancing and associated activities, she was honoured with one of India’s highest civilian awards the, Padma Shri. She is also the recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
Sanjukta’s forte was her Nritta, or pure dance, in which she was outstanding. In Abhinaya, connoisseurs and critics were agreed on the fact that she more often than not veered towards jatra and melodrama. She has left behind a rich repertoire of Odissi dance, both modern as well as classical.

कल्याणजी वीरजी शाह, जन्म- 30 जून, 1928, कच्छ, गुजरात; मृत्यु- 24 अगस्त, 2000) आज हम याद कर रहे हैं सुप्रसिद्ध संगीतकार कल्याण जी वीरजी शाह को।
इनका जन्म 30 जून, 1928, कच्छ, गुजरात में हुआ था। वे भारतीय हिन्दी फ़िल्मों की प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार जोड़ी ‘कल्याणजी आनंदजी’ में से एक थे। कल्याणजी ने हेमंत कुमार के सहायक के तौर पर फ़िल्मी दुनिया में कदम रखा था और वर्ष 1954 में आई फ़िल्म ‘नागिन’ के गीतों के कुछ छंद संगीतबद्ध किए थे। भारतीय फ़िल्मों में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक संगीत की शुरुआत करने का श्रेय कल्याणजी को ही जाता है।
