In a coordinated sea-air operation, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has successfully rescued a stranded Indian Fishing Boat (IFB) Aashni, with 11 crew onboard, about 80 nautical miles from Kochi, Kerala, amid heavy rain and challenging weather conditions. Defence Ministry in a statement said that the vessel was in a critical condition due to flooding from a hull rupture near the keel and loss of propulsion, which posed a threat to the safety of the crew. An ICG Dornier aircraft on maritime surveillance located the distressed fishing boat. A technical ICG team embarked onto the distressed boat, carried out de-flooding operations, and provided necessary assistance.

एटापल्ली प्रखंड के वंडोली गांव के जंगलों में नक्सल विरोधी अभियान के दौरान नक्सलियों की गोलीबारी के बाद जवाबी कारवाई में नक्सली मारे गए। गढ़चिरौली के पुलिस अधीक्षक नीलोत्पल ने बताया कि मुठभेड़ के बाद इलाके में तलाशी तेज़ कर दी गई है।
पुलिस ने नक्सलियों से गोला-बारूद बरामद किया है। छह घंटे की गोलीबारी में एक पुलिस सब इंस्पेक्टर और एक कांस्टेबल घायल हो गए हैं.

Another batch of 4,383 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in Jammu for the Kashmir valley to perform pilgrimage to Amarnath Cave Shrine. The pilgrims left the base camp in a cavalcade of 157 vehicles early this morning. The batch included 3,222 Men, 1071 Women, 8 Children, 67 Sadhus & 15 Sadhvies. Of these 1701 pilgrims left for Baltal base camp at 3:14 AM and 2682 for Pahalgam base camp at 4 AM from where they will proceed for their further journey to the holy cave shrine.

दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल निगम-डीएमआरसी ने यात्रिओं की सुविधा के लिए मेट्रो स्टेशन पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय उड़ान चेक-इन सुविधाएं शुरू करने की घोषणा की है। यह सुविधा एयरपोर्ट एक्सप्रेस लाइन पर नई दिल्ली और शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर उपलब्ध है। इस सुविधा के तहत यात्री इन मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर अपने सामान की जांच करा सकते है। डीएमआरसी ने बताया कि यह सुविधा एयर इंडिया के यात्रियों के लिए प्रतिदिन सुबह 6 बजे से रात 9 बजे तक और विस्तारा एयर लाइंस के यात्रियों के लिए सुबह 6 बजे से रात 8 बजे तक उपलब्ध रहेगी।

दिल्ली नगर निगम के विद्यालयों में 3 से 10 वर्ष के बच्चों के लिए दाखिले की प्रक्रिया शुरू हो चुकी है। नगर निगम ने एक वीडियो संदेश में बताया कि इन विद्यालयों में अच्छी शिक्षा देने के साथ-साथ बच्चों को कई तरह की नि:शुल्क सुविधाएं भी मुहैया कराई जाती हैं। इसके अलावा नगर निगम के प्रत्येक विद्यालय में दिव्यांग छात्रों के लिए विशेष शिक्षक भी नियुक्त किए गए हैं। अपनी उपलब्धियों के बारे में बताते हुए नगर निगम ने बताया कि इस वर्ष निगम के करीब 150 छात्रों ने जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय, 11 छात्रों ने विद्याज्ञान विद्यालय और 50 से अधिक छात्रों ने सैनिक स्कूल की प्रवेश परीक्षा पास की है।

कावड़ यात्रा को सुगम और सुरक्षित बनाने के लिए फरीदाबाद के जिला उपायुक्त विक्रम सिंह ने अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की। श्री सिंह ने 22 जुलाई से 2 अगस्त तक चलने वाली कावड़ यात्रा के दौरान यातायात को सुचारु करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग नंबर-2, दिल्ली-मथुरा रोड और बाईपास रोड पर उचित प्रबंध करने के दिशा-निर्देश दिए हैं। इसके अलावा कावड़ियो के स्वास्थ्य का ख्याल रखते हुए विशेष स्थानों पर एम्बुलेंस की व्यवस्था करने के भी निर्देश दिए गए हैं।

दिल्ली पुलिस के एंटी नार्कोटिक्स सेल ने द्वारका जिले से एक नाइजीरिया के ड्रग्स तस्कर को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने आरोपी के पास से करीब सौ ग्राम नशीले पदार्थ के साथ ही 50 लाख रुपए भी जब्त किए हैं। पुलिस उपायुक्त अंकित सिंह ने बताया कि द्वारका जिले की पुलिस नशे के खिलाफ अभियान चलाकर तस्करों को गिरफ्तार कर रही है।

महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल रमेश बैस ने कहा कि जवाहरलाल नेहरू पोर्ट अथॉरिटी-जेएनपीए द्वारा आवंटित कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व-सीएसआर निधि राज्य के आदिवासी छात्रों की मदद करेगी। ये छात्र एकलव्य मॉडल आवासीय विद्यालयों में पढ़ने वाले आदिवासी छात्र हैं। राज्यपाल की उपस्थिति में कल मुंबई के राजभवन में एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए गया, जिसमें 38 एकलव्य मॉडल स्कूलों में लागू किए जाने वाले कंप्यूटर प्रोजेक्ट के लिए जेएनपीए के सीएसआर फंड का उपयोग किया जाएगा।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार ने तीन आपराधिक कृत्यों का मूल्यांकन करने के लिए एक समिति बनाई है। सात सदस्यों वाली इस समिति की अध्यक्षता कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय के पूर्व न्यायाधीश और राज्य के वर्तमान लोकायुक्त श्री असित कुमार रॉय करेंगे। गृह विभाग ने इस संबंध में एक अधिसूचना जारी की है। समिति भारत के तीन नए आपराधिक कानूनों भारतीय न्याय संहिता, भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता और भारतीय शाख्य अधिनियम की समीक्षा करेगी। समिति तीन महीने के भीतर अपनी रिपोर्ट पेश करेगी।

Godrej Storage Solutions, a provider of warehouse and storage solutions, is investing between Rs. 350 and Rs. 400 crore in a new plant in Chennai. According to Vikas Choudaha, Executive Vice President of Godrej and Boyce’s division that manufactures pallets and shelves, Godrej Storage Solutions will soon expand into Australia for exports. He stated that the extension was intended to increase production capacity in anticipation of growth in the sector over the next two decades.With the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Philippines as its primary export destinations, Godrej Storage Solutions is expanding into new areas such as Australia.

Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority has taken up the Rs. 10 Crore Project to transform Kamarajar Salai promenade that is more associated with Marina than with the heritage buildings Cultural programming like organising heritage walks and tours, hosting cultural events and performances and incorporating local artisans and crafts people. There is a plan to enhance connectivity by improving crosswalks and pedestrian crossings, developing underground or elevated pedestrian walkways and integrating public transportation.

Karnataka Government has decided to put on hold the draft Bill that ensured Job quota for Kannadigas in the private sector after industry bodies and experts expressed their reservations. The Karnataka State Employment of Local Candidates in the Industries, Factories and Other Establishments Bill 2024 was passed in the Cabinet meeting on Monday. It proposed the appointment of Kannadigas to 50 percent of management positions and 75 percent of non management positions and 100 percent reservation for Group C and Group D posts in the private sector. However, Chief Minister has posted on X that the bill will be put on hold and passed after wider consultations.

In Telangana, women’s rights activist Nerella Sharada took charge as the chairperson of Telangana State Women’s Commission in Hyderabad yesterday. A government order released last week to this effect stated that Sharada, who was a member of the Commission, has been elevated to the Chairperson’s post after her predecessor Sunitha Lakshma Reddy submitted her resignation. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy assumed charge as the women’s commission chief in 2021, and her tenure normally will have continued till 2026. But her resignation necessitated the government to appoint the new chairperson.
