सर्वोच्‍च न्‍यायालय ने राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा एजेंसी द्वारा दायर याचिकाओं पर नोटिस जारी किया है। इसमें राष्‍ट्रीय पात्रता प्रवेश परीक्षा – नीट-यूजी पेपर लीक से संबंधित राजस्थान उच्च न्यायालय में लंबित याचिकाओं को शीर्ष अदालत में स्थानांतरित करने की मांग की गई है। मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति डी. वाई. चंद्रचूड़, न्यायमूर्ति जे बी पारदीवाला और न्यायमूर्ति मनोज मिश्रा की पीठ ने राजस्थान उच्च न्यायालय के समक्ष याचिकाकर्ताओं को नोटिस जारी किया। हालाँकि, पीठ ने राजस्थान उच्च न्यायालय में लंबित कार्यवाही पर रोक लगाने का आदेश देने से इन्‍कार कर दिया है।

Supreme Court has dismissed a review petition filed against its January 3 verdict refusing to form any SIT or group of experts to conduct an investigation into the Adani-Hindenburg issue.  After perusing the review petition, a bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra said that there is no error apparent on the face of the record.

 

In its January 3 order, the Supreme Court had said that reports prepared by third-party organisations such as the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and Hindenburg Research cannot be regarded as conclusive proof. It had said that the reliance placed by PIL litigants on newspaper articles or reports by third-party organisations does not inspire confidence to question the comprehensive investigation undertaken by the SEBI. The apex court said that the facts in the case did not warrant a transfer of investigation from the SEBI and asked the market regulator to take its investigation to a logical conclusion in accordance with the law.

India’s goods and services exports increased by 5.4 per cent in June to 65.47 billion dollars. The cumulative overall growth of exports during the April-June quarter this year rose 8.6 per cent to 200.33 billion dollars, according to figures released by Commerce and Industry Ministry. The figures show merchandise exports registered a positive growth of 2.55 per cent at 35.20 billion dollars in June as compared to 34.32 billion dollars in June 2023. The cumulative value of merchandise exports during April-June 2024 stands at 109.96 billion dollars as compared to 103.89 billion dollars during April-June 2023, registering a positive growth of 5.84 per cent. Major drivers of merchandise export growth in June 2024 include engineering goods, electronic goods, drugs & pharmaceuticals, coffee and organic & inorganic chemicals.

भारत के जी-20 शेरपा, अमिताभ कांत ने कहा है कि देश ने डिजिटल पब्लिक इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर – डीपीआई की मदद से नौ वर्षों में जो उपलब्धि हासिल की है जिसे उसके बिना हासिल करने में 50 वर्ष लग जाते। श्री कांत ने डिजिटल पब्लिक इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर पर भारत के जी-20 कार्य बल की अंतिम रिपोर्ट जारी करने के अवसर पर यह बात कही। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत डिजिटलीकरण के मामले में बहुत आगे है और रेहड़ी-पटरी वालों से लेकर बड़े शॉपिंग मॉल तक एकीकृत भुगतान प्रणाली-यूपीआई का इस्तेमाल होने से देश में वैश्विक स्तर पर सबसे ज्यादा डिजिटल लेन-देन होता है।

Former US President Donald Trump has been officially nominated as Republican presidential candidate. His nomination became official after he secured majority of votes from Republican National Committee delegates in Milwaukee last night. This marks Mr Trump’s third consecutive run after winning in 2016 and losing to President Joe Biden in 2020. US Presidential election in scheduled in November this year.

 

Mr Trump announced Ohio Senator JD Vance as his vice presidential running mate. 39-year old Vance brings to the ticket experience in the US military. He is a former venture capitalist and author of “Hillbilly Elegy”, an autobiography. By picking Senator Vance, Mr Trump is showing he’s really focusing on key states in the Midwest that are up for grabs in the next election, like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Mr Vance’s selection comes at a turbulent time for the campaign, following an assassination attempt on Mr Trump at a rally on Saturday.

भारत ने फिलिस्तीन शरणार्थियों के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र राहत एवं कार्य एजेंसी – यू.एन.आर.डब्ल्यू.ए को 25 लाख डॉलर की पहली किस्‍त जारी कर दी है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र में भारत के स्थायी मिशन ने कहा कि भारत ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र एजेंसी के मुख्य कार्यक्रमों और सेवाओं के लिए पचास लाख डॉलर के योगदान की घोषणा की थी। इसमें फ़िलिस्तीनी शरणार्थियों को दी जाने वाली स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, राहत और सामाजिक सेवाएँ शामिल हैं।

  At least 35 people were killed and 250 injured as rainstorms and flash floods swept through east Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province. The disaster affected the provincial capital of Jalalabad, Sukh Rod District and their neighbouring areas in the province bordering Pakistan yesterday. The casualties are expected to rise.

 

A similar natural disaster claimed five lives in Nangarhar’s neighbouring Kunar province. Heavy rains and flooding have killed more than 400 and rendered thousands homeless since May in Afghanistan.

मौसम विभाग ने आज देश के पश्चिमी तटीय भागों में भारी वर्षा होने की संभावना व्‍यक्‍त की है। मौसम विभाग ने कहा कि कोकंण, गोवा, मध्‍य महाराष्‍ट्र, गुजरात, तटीय और दक्षिणी कर्नाटक, सौराष्‍ट्र और कच्‍छ क्षेत्र में आज अलग-अलग स्‍थानों पर भारी वर्षा होने की संभावना है। मौसम विभाग ने अगले चार दिनों के दौरान तेलंगाना, तटीय आन्‍ध्र प्रदेश, यनम, छत्तीसगढ और उत्तरी कर्नाटक में अलग-अलग स्‍थानों पर भारी वर्षा होने का अनुमान व्‍यक्‍त किया है। आकाशवाणी समाचार से बातचीत में मौसम विभाग के वरिष्‍ठ वैज्ञानिक आर.के जेनामणि ने कहा कि ओडिसा के तटीय क्षेत्रों में निम्‍न दबाव की स्थिति बनने से गुजरात, महाराष्‍ट्र और कर्नाटक क्षेत्र में मानसून की सक्रियता बढ गई है।

Customs Officials at the Chennai Airport have thwarted a bid to smuggle Indian star tortoises to Malaysia and secured an Indian passenger. The passenger was about to board a flight to Kualalumpur. Customs officials intercepted and searched the checked in baggage. A total of 138 star tortoises concealed in carton boxes. Wild life Crime Control Bureau officers were informed about the incident and inquiry is being conducted on the case.

Greater Chennai Corporation has seized 20 tonnes of banned single use plastic from Triplicane and adjoining areas. The GCC raided several streets  and confiscated banned single use plastic items such as plates, cups, covers and wraps. Vendors were fined by Zonal officials from Teynampet. The bakeries and the sweet shops were found to use plastic covers used to pack their items. A total of 70 shops were raided and they  had to pay a penalty of Rs. 1000.

BENGALURU METRO

 

Karnataka Revenue Minister-Krishna Byre Gowda has informed that the process of recruiting one thousand village accountants and 750 Government Surveyors is underway. In his reply during the question hour in the Legislative Assembly, the minister also said that applications are invited for the appointment of over one thousand  licensed private surveyors and 35 Assistant Directors of Land Records. The above positions will be filled by Karnataka Public Service Commission within the next three to six months. Byre Gowda said that filling up of surveyors in the Survey section of the Revenue department will speed up mapping of revenue lands and help farmers resolve the boundary disputes. The Revenue minister said that modern equipment such as drones and rovers will be used to  conduct surveys to speed up the work threefold.

HYDERABAD METRO

 

The Telangana State government has issued a government order (GO) listing out the guidelines for implementation of the crop loan waiver. As per the GO, the waiver will be limited to rupees Two Lakh  per one farmer’s family and the food security card issued by the Civil Supplies department will be considered as a parameter to define a farmer’s family. The waiver will be applicable to short term crop loans obtained between December 12th, 2018 and December 9th, last year obtained from scheduled commercial banks, rural banks and district cooperative banks. Under the loan waiver programme, farmers will have to pay the excess loan amount to the banks and the remaining two lakh rupees will be deposited into the farmer’s loan account. The Agriculture Commissioner will be the implementing authority and the National Informatics Centre will be IT partner for the implementation.

 

The state government will operate an exclusive portal for implementation of the farm loan waiver and all the details, including each farmer’s loan account, data validation, eligibility and others will be made available in the portal. A grievance cell will also be set up to address complaints raised by farmers.

दिल्ली

 

दिल्ली सरकार ने मोहल्ला बस सेवाओं का ट्रायल शुरू कर दिया है। दिल्ली के परिवहन मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत ने कल मोहल्ला बसों के ट्रायल रन के लिए बसों को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। सात दिनों तक चलने वाले इस ट्रायल रन के दौरान, राजधानी के दो रूटों- मजलिस पार्क से बुराड़ी और अक्षरधाम से लेकर मयूर विहार फेस-तीन के बीच मोहल्ला बसें चलेंगी। दिल्ली सरकार का अगले वर्ष तक राजधानी में दो हजार से अधिक मोहल्ला बसें शुरू करने की योजना है।

 

इस अवसर पर श्री गहलोत ने कहा कि इन बसों का संचालन फिलहाल दो रूटों पर ही किया जायेगा, बाद में अन्य रूटों पर भी मोहल्ला बसों की सेवा उपलब्ध होगी। उन्होंने बताया कि इन बसों में यात्री किराया सामान्य तौर पर 10, 15, 20 और 25 रूपये ही निर्धारित किया गया। वहीं, महिलाओं के लिए यात्रा निशुल्क रहेगी।

दिल्‍ली जल बोर्ड ने बताया है कि पीरागढी क्षेत्र में पाइप लाइन में मरम्मत कार्य के कारण गुरूवार को सुबह नौ से रात नौ बजे तक राजधानी के कई इलाकों में जलापूर्ति प्रभावित रहेगी।

 

जिन इलाकों में पेयजल आपूर्ति प्रभावित होगी उनमें, मिलनसर अपार्टमेंट, अर्चना अपार्टमेंट, शुभम एन्क्लेव, आरबीआई कॉलोनी, पुष्कर एन्क्लेव, स्टेट बैंक नगर, मीरा बाग, सुंदर विहार, अंबिका विहार, भेरा एन्क्लेव, पीरागढ़ी, ज्वालापुरी, मियांवाली नगर, गुरु हरकिशन नगर, सैयद नांगलोई शामिल है।

 

जल बोर्ड ने स्‍थानीय निवासियों से पर्याप्त मात्रा में पानी के भंडारण का अनुरोध किया है। आपातकाल स्थिति में जलबोर्ड के कंट्रोल नंबर 0 1 1 – 2 3 5 3 8 4 9 5 और 1 9 1 6 पर फोन कर पानी के टैंकर मंगाए जा सकते हैं।

उत्‍तर रेलवे ने कांवड यात्रा के दौरान श्रद्धालुओं की सुविधा के लिए व्‍यापक इंतजाम किए हैं। रेलवे ने बताया है कि हरिद्वार में 22 जुलाई से 19 अगस्‍त तक कांवड मेला चलेगा, जिसके मद्देनजर ये इंतजाम किए गए हैं। रेलवे के अधिकारियों ने बताया है कि कांवड यात्रा के लिए हरिद्वार पहुंचने वाली चार रेलगाडियों में विस्‍तार किया गया है। इसके अलावा पांच विशेष रेलगाडियों का परिचालन किया जाएगा।

उत्‍तर रेलवे ने दिल्‍ली और बिहार के बीच चलने वाली विशेष रेलगाडियों के परिचालन की अवधि में बढोतरी की है। इनमें रेलगाड़ी संख्‍या 0 2 3 9 3,  0 2 3 9 4,  0 2 3 9 7 और 0 2 3 9 8 शामिल हैं। रेलवे ने बताया है कि इन रेलगाडियों के परिचालन की अ‍वधि को बढाकर 30 सितम्‍बर तक कर दिया गया है। पहले यह अ‍वधि 31 जुलाई तक थी। ये रेलगाडियां कुल 52 फेरे लगाएंगी।

इससे पहले संजय मुखर्जी लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 के समय पश्चिम बंगाल पुलिस के महानिदेशक के पद पर तैनात थे।

वर्ष 2018 में आयी बॉलीवुड फिल्म ‘बधाई हो’ और धारावाहिक टेलीविजन शो ‘बालिका बधु’  के लिए सुरेखा सीकरी को जाना जाता है। धारावाहिक ‘बालिका वधु’ ने उन्हें घर-घर में पहचान दिलाई। वह हिंदी रंगमंच में वर्ष 1978 से लेकर 2021 तक सक्रिय थीं। सुरेखा सीकरी ने अपने कॅरियर की शुरुआत वर्ष 1978 में राजनीतिक ड्रामा फिल्म ‘क़िस्सा कुर्सी का है’ से की थी।

 

उनकि प्रसिद्ध फ़िल्में हैं – सरफ़रोश, ये दिल्लगी, बधाई हो, तुमसा नहीं देखा, जो बोले सो निहाल, सरदारी बेगम, हमको दीवाना कर गए आदि।

Aruna Asaf Ali (née Ganguly; 16 July 1909 – 29 July 1996) was an Indian educator, political activist, and publisher. Aruna Asaf Ali had a major role in the Indian Independence Movement. She became a member of Indian National Congress after marrying Asaf Ali and participated in public processions during the Salt Satyagraha. She was arrested at the age of 21 on the charge that she was a vagrant and hence not released in 1931 under the Gandhi–Irwin Pact which stipulated the release of all political prisoners. Other women co-prisoners refused to leave the premises unless she was released and gave in only after Mahatma Gandhi intervened. A public agitation secured her release.

 

In 1932, she was held prisoner at the Tihar Jail where she protested the indifferent treatment of political prisoners by launching a hunger strike. Her efforts improved conditions in the Tihar Jail but she was moved to Ambala and subjected to solitary confinement. She was politically not very active after her release, but at the end of 1942, she took part in the underground movement.

वर्ष 2004 में के. वी. सुब्बन्ना को भारत सरकार की ओर से ‘पद्म श्री’ की उपाधि दी गई। इनके अद्भुत कार्य के लिए इन्हें संगीत नाटक अकादमी ने भी 1994 में पुरस्कृत किया। 1991 में उन्हें पत्रकारिता, साहित्य तथा कला के सृजनात्मक आयामों के लिए ‘रेमन मैग्सेसे’  सम्मान से पुरस्‍कृत किया गया।

Gangolli Ramashet Nagaraj (16 July 1939 – 16 July 2013), popularly known as Shringar Nagaraj, was an Indian actor, cameraman, and producer in Kannada cinema. He is best known for the 1987 silent film Pushpaka Vimana, which won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

 

 

He was bestowed with Kannada Rajyotsava, Filmfare Awards, International Houston Film Festival Award and a few others.

 

 

He got his first break in Kannada films as a supporting role opposite Rajkumar in Sipayi Ramu; besides, he acted in almost 25 Kannada films, such as Bangaaradha Manushya, Haalu Jenu, Chelisuva Modagalu, Shabdavedi and more. He also acted in other movies such as Ranganayaki and Katha Sangama. He acted as the hero opposite Kalpana in Kesarina Kamala.

Pinchas Zukerman (Hebrew: פנחס צוקרמן, born 16 July 1948) is an Israeli-American violinist, violist and conductor. Life and career

Zukerman in 1980 Zukerman was born in Tel Aviv, to Jewish parents and Holocaust survivors Yehuda and Miriam Lieberman Zukerman. He began his musical studies at age four, on the recorder. His father then taught him to play the clarinet and then the violin at age eight. Early studies were at the Samuel Rubin Academy of Music (now the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music). Isaac Stern and Pablo Casals learned of Zukerman’s violin talent during a 1962 visit to Israel.

 

Zukerman subsequently moved to the United States that year to study at the Juilliard School under Stern and Ivan Galamian. He made his New York City debut in 1963. In 1967, he shared the Leventritt Prize with the Korean violinist Kyung-wha Chung. His 1969 debut recordings of the concerti by Tchaikovsky (under the direction of Antal Dorati, with the London Symphony Orchestra) and Mendelssohn (with Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic) launched a successful recording career of over 110 releases.

आज जगदीशचन्‍द्र माथुर की जयंती है। वे हिन्दी के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकारों में से एक थे, जिन्होंने आकाशवाणी में काम करते हुए हिन्दी की लोकप्रियता के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान किया। टेलीविज़न उन्हीं के जमाने में वर्ष 1949 में शुरू हुआ था। हिन्दी और भारतीय भाषाओं के तमाम बड़े लेखकों को वे ही रेडियो में लेकर आए थे। सुमित्रानंदन पंत से लेकर रामधारी सिंह ‘दिनकर’ और बालकृष्ण शर्मा ‘नवीन’ जैसे दिग्गज साहित्यकारों के साथ उन्होंने हिंदी के माध्यम से सांस्कृतिक पुनर्जागरण का सूचना संचार तंत्र विकसित और स्थापित किया था।

 

परिवर्तन और राष्ट्र निर्माण के ऐसे ऐतिहासिक समय में जगदीशचंद्र माथुर, आईसीएस, ऑल इंडिया रेडियो के डायरेक्टर जनरल थे। उन्होंने ही ‘एआईआर’ का नामकरण आकाशवाणी किया था।

 

भारत में टेलीविज़न शुरू होने जा रहा था। जगदीशचन्द्र माथुर ने ही टीवी का नाम दूरदर्शन रखा था। उन्होंने कहा था की “सरकार किसी भी भाषा से चलाई जाए पर लोकतंत्र हिंदी और भारतीय भाषाओं के बल पर ही चलेगा|

 

उनकी मुख्य रचनाएँ हैं ‘कोणार्क’, ‘भोर का तारा’, ‘ओ मेरे सपने’, ‘पहला राजा’, ‘शारदीया’ आदि।

Marx’s first number one success as a songwriter came in 1984 with “What About Me?”, which was recorded by Kenny Rogers, Kim Carnes, and James Ingram, and topped the US and Canadian Adult Contemporary charts. His second chart-topper was 1985’s “Crazy”, a song he co-wrote with Rogers which reached number one in the Hot Country Songs chart. Marx’s self-titled debut album went triple-platinum in 1987, and his first single, “Don’t Mean Nothing”, reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Between 1987 and 1994, he had 14 top 20 hits, including three number one singles.

 

 

Marx is the only male artist in history to have his first seven singles reach the top 5 of the Billboard charts. He has scored a total of 14 number one singles, both as a performer and as a songwriter/producer. As a singer, his No. 1 hits include “Hazard”, “Right Here Waiting”, “Hold On to the Nights”, “Endless Summer Nights”, and “Satisfied”. According to Billboard, Marx “holds the distinction of having written songs that have hit No. 1 on various Billboard charts in each of the last four decades.”

 

 

Marx has written or collaborated on songs with other artists, including “This I Promise You” by NSYNC and “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross. Marx has been nominated for five Grammy Awards. In 2003, he won the Grammy for Song of the Year for “Dance with My Father”.
