भारत ने आईसीसी पुरुष टी-20 क्रिकेट विश्व कप-2024 का खिताब जीत लिया है। यह भारत का 17 साल बाद दूसरा टी-20 विश्व कप खिताब है। रोहित शर्मा की कप्तानी में कल बारबोडास के किंग्स्टन ओवल में खेले गए रोमांचक फाइनल मैच में भारत ने दक्षिण अफ्रीका को सात रन से हराकर ये जीत हासिल की। पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए भारत ने विराट कोहली के उन्सठ गेंदों पर 76 रन और अक्षर पटेल के 31 गेंदों पर 47 रनों की बदौलत 20 ओवर में 7 विकेट पर 176 रन बनाए। पुरुष टी-20 क्रिकेट विश्व कप के फाइनल में किसी भी टीम का यह सर्वाधिक स्कोर है। दक्षिण अफ्रीका के लिए एनरिक नॉर्टजे और केशव महाराज ने दो-दो विकेट लिए।
177 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए दक्षिण अफ्रीका हेनरिक क्लासेन के 52 रनों की मदद से आठ विकेट पर एक सौ उन्हत्तर रन ही बना सका। भारत के लिए हार्दिक पंड्या ने तीन विकेट लिए, जबकि अर्शदीप सिंह और जसप्रित बुमरा ने दो-दो विकेट हासिल किए।
विराट कोहली को उनकी शानदार पारी के लिए प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच का पुरस्कार दिया गया। जबकि तेज गेंदबाज जसप्रीत बुमराह को आठ मैचों में 15 विकेट लेने के लिए प्लेयर ऑफ द टूर्नामेंट से सम्मानित किया गया।

More than 13,000 pilgrims visited the holy cave shrine of Amarnath yesterday on the first day of the annual pilgrimage in the south Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security. Meanwhile another batch of 6619 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in Jammu for the Kashmir valley to perform pilgrimage to Amarnath Cave Shrine .Chanting ‘Bam Bam Bhole’, the pilgrims left the base camp in a cavalcade of 319 early this morning. These included 5143 Men, 1141 Women, 18 Children,241 Sadhus & 76 Sadhvies. Of these 2781 pilgrims left for Baltal at 3:50 AM and 3838 for Pahalgam base camp started their journey at 4:45 AM. With this, the number of pilgrims who left for the Amarnath cave shrine from the Jammu base camp climbs to 15,251.

In Badminton, India advanced to the quarterfinals of the Asia Junior Mixed Team Championship in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with a 3-2 victory over the Philippines last night. Today, India will face hosts Indonesia to determine the group winner. Earlier, India began their campaign with a dominant 5-0 win against Vietnam in their Group C opener on Friday.
Indonesia have secured a spot in the quarterfinals after defeating the Philippines 5-0 and Vietnam 4-1 in their respective group matches.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India has pointed out some shortfalls in the registration process of unorganised construction workers and the implementation of welfare schemes for them. A joint audit with the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health at 21 sites revealed that 398 out of 501 construction workers employed were inter state migrant workers and no one was registered with the Board. The CAG pointed out that the photographs of the identified migrant workers must be captured at the construction site and registration cards should be issued within a week. These workers will become eligible for all schemes of the board except pension.Even though the registration of workers is voluntary , there is a need for coverage of non registered workers in the State for providing scheme benefits.
IIT Madras has launched an online MBA in digital maritime and supply chain program for working professionals. The program will offer a blend of online learning and on campus immersion modules. Candidates will engage in cutting edge digital technologies such as Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, machine learning and block chain. The course will train candidates to use technology to solve shipping related problems from port management to ship movement. The two year degree program is jointly developed by the department of management studies and department of ocean engineering , IIT Madras. The Chairperson K.Murali said that there is a plan to enrol 30 to 100 candidates in the first year. The course is tailor made for working professionals and can be extended upto four years.
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has introduced a new digital platform to streamline the process for citizens to lodge complaints and address grievances. The platform aims to facilitate appointment scheduling with officials when necessary, alleviating the common issue of citizens having to rely on brokers to access BDA officials. BDA Chairman N.A. Haris, informed that the platform is already operational and has received 55 complaints till 28th of this month. The platform provides a dashboard accessible to the BDA chairman, commissioner, and a designated nodal officer, ensuring efficient monitoring and response to complaints. Citizens can register their complaints and grievances directly on the platform. These complaints will then be analysed by the competent authority. If a personal meeting with officials is deemed necessary, appointments will be scheduled through the system. The platform will enhance transparency in the grievance redressal process at the BDA. Officials are required to address complaints promptly, with daily monitoring of their responses. Any unattended complaints will be escalated to senior officials, who will ensure that their subordinates resolve the issues. This system aims to facilitate direct access to officials and improve the efficiency of complaint resolution by managing appointments digitally.
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has assured to resolve all issues and protect the interests of Tobacco farmers and industry stakeholders. Addressing representatives of Tobacco farmers and industry representatives in Hyderabad last night, the minister assured to make all efforts to waive the penalty on excess tobacco produced by the farmers. He urged the tobacco farmers to avail the Three per cent interest subvention facility under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund on the loans they take from the Banks at Nine percent interest rate. Stating that Prime minister Narendra Modi is very sympathetic towards the farmers, Mr Goyal said the Union government will do everything to protect the farmers interests. The commerce minister also announced that the period of validity of Farmers’ Registration will be increased from the present One year to a period of 3 years from next crop season onwards. He also urged the farmers to register themselves on-line. However, the minister said the off-line registration is also available for the benefit of small farmers. Parliament Member Purandheswari and senior officials and representatives of farmers and industry were present on the occasion.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has ordered a forensic audit over the escalation in the estimated cost of construction of the Warangal super specialty hospital. He visited the hospital yesterday and reviewed progress made on several works. The Chief Minister questioned officials over the surge in the cost of construction of the 24-storey hospital to over 17 hundred 26 crore rupees from 11 hundred crore rupees without approvals. He directed the construction company, L&T, to complete construction by March next year. The Chief Minister also instructed officials to develop the city on par with Hyderabad and asked them to prepare a ‘Master Plan 2050’. The chief minister also inspected the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park where he unveiled the Vanamahotsavam logo and planted a sapling. He directed officials to prepare proposals to provide essential amenities at the housing layout for those displaced by the textile park. He announced that each plot allottee will receive 5 lakh financial assistance under the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि दिल्ली के आईजीआई हवाई अड्डे के टर्मिनल एक के लिए निर्धारित उड़ानों को टर्मिनल दो और तीन पर स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया है। एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में, मंत्रालय ने कहा कि इन उड़ानों ने आज से टर्मिनल दो और तीन से परिचालन शुरू कर दिया है।
राजधानी के दक्षिणी रिज में एक हजार एक सौ पेड़ों की अवैध कटाई के मद्देनजर दिल्ली सरकार ने तीन सदस्यीय फैक्ट फाइंडिंग कमेटी का गठन किया है, जो अपनी रिपोर्ट दिल्ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय को सौंपेगी। इस कमेटी में दिल्ली सरकार के मंत्री सौरभ भारद्वाज, आतिशी और इमरान हुसैन होंगे। इस कमेटी की रिपोर्ट उच्च न्यायालय को भी पेश की जाएगी। एक प्रेस वार्ता के दौरान सरकार ने आरोप लगाया कि उप राज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने रिज क्षेत्र का दौरा किया था और उनके मौखिक आदेश पर पेड़ काटे गए हैं।
दिल्ली के उप राज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने कल जलजमाव से गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित क्षेत्रों और नालों का निरीक्षण कर संबंधित एजेंसियों को साफ सफाई का निर्देश दिया। श्री सक्सेना ने दिल्ली के सांसद हर्ष मल्होत्रा और बांसूरी स्वराज के साथ तैमूर नगर, बारापूला ड्रेन, आईटीपीओ, तिलक ब्रिज, कुशक नाला और गोल्फ लिंक का दौरा किया। अपने निरीक्षण में उप राज्यपाल ने पाया कि इन सभी क्षेत्रों की नालियाँ भारी गाद और कचरे के कारण बुरी तरह से जाम हो गई थीं और शहर में पानी का बैकफ्लो शुरू हो गया था। इसके अलावा उन्होंने पाया कि अतिक्रमण के कारण नालियां और सीवर लाइनें भी जाम हो गई हैं। श्री सक्सेना ने कहा कि इन सभी नालों की सफाई जून के मध्य तक हो जानी चाहिए थी। उन्होंने संबंधित एजेंसियों को युद्ध स्तर पर नालों से गाद निकालने, नालों के किनारे से सभी कचरा, मलबा और कीचड़ एवं गाद को जल्द से जल्द हटाने का निर्देश दिया।
केंद्रीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने उम्मीद जताई है कि इस साल भारत 800 अरब डॉलर का ऐतिहासिक निर्यात करेगा। केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री गोयल ने मुंबई में भारत रत्नम मेगा सीएफसी में हितधारकों के साथ एक सार्थक बातचीत की और सांताक्रूज़ इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स निर्यात प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र (एसईईपीजेड), भारतीय निर्यात ऋण गारंटी निगम (ईसीजीसी) और पेटेंट, डिजाइन और ट्रेडमार्क महानियंत्रक (सीजीपीडीटीएम) की प्रगति की समीक्षा की।
महाराष्ट्र के उपमुख्यमंत्री ने कल राज्य विधानसभा को बताया कि हाल ही में हुई कैबिनेट बैठक में राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में अच्छा प्रदर्शन करके, राज्य का नाम रोशन करने वाले खिलाड़ियों को उनकी शैक्षणिक योग्यता के अनुसार सरकारी नौकरी देने का निर्णय लिया गया है। उपमुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार ने हमेशा राज्य के विभिन्न खिलाड़ियों को प्रोत्साहित किया है और विधानसभा को आश्वासन दिया कि यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो मानदंड में और अंक जोड़े जाएंगे ताकि राज्य का नाम रोशन करने वाला कोई भी खिलाड़ी लाभ से वंचित न रहे।

महाराष्ट्र के कृषि मंत्री धनंजय मुंडे ने प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना के तहत काम करने वाले कॉमन सर्विस सेंटर संचालकों को सख्त चेतावनी दी है कि अगर उन्होंने किसानों से बीमा के लिए अतिरिक्त पैसे मांगे तो उनके खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। मंत्री ने कहा कि अगर कॉमन सर्विस सेंटर संचालकों के खिलाफ कोई शिकायत सबूत के साथ मिली तो उनके खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इस योजना के तहत खरीफ सीजन के लिए फसलों का बीमा एक रुपये में दिया जा रहा है और उन्होंने किसानों से अपील की है कि अगर कोई अतिरिक्त पैसे की मांग करता है तो वे सीधे सीएससी सेंटर संचालकों को रिपोर्ट करें।
पालघर जिले के ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में बच्चों में बढ़ती सिकल सेल बीमारी को देखते हुए कल एक शिविर का आयोजन किया गया है, जिसमें तीन सौ 27 लोगों की इस बीमारी की जांच की गई, जिसमें से दस छात्र पॉजिटिव पाए गए। यह शिविर महाराष्ट्र के पालघर जिले में एकीकृत आदिवासी विकास परियोजना के तहत आयोजित किया गया था। मेडिकल प्रोफेशनल ने छात्रों को बताया कि सिकल सेल रोग कैसे फैलता है और इसके लक्षण क्या हैं और इसके बचाव के उपाय बताए। सिकल सेल रोग आनुवांशिक होता है और यह माता-पिता से बच्चों में आता है। अगर माता और पिता दोनों सिकल सेल के वाहक (वाहक) हैं, तो बच्चों में बचपन से ही इस बीमारी के होने की संभावना अधिक होती है। इसलिए अगर शादी से पहले लड़के-लड़कियों का सिकल सेल घुलनशीलता परीक्षण किया जाए तो इस बीमारी को अगली पीढ़ी तक पहुंचने से रोकने का प्रयास किया जा सकता है।

He was an American musician who helped create the Nashville sound, the country music style which expanded its appeal to adult pop music fans. He was primarily a guitarist, but he also played the mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and ukulele, and occasionally sang as well.
Atkins’s signature picking style was inspired by Merle Travis. Atkins spent most of his career at RCA Victor and produced records for the Browns, Norma Jean, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, Jerry Reed and many others.
Among many other honors, Atkins received 14 Grammy Awards and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. George Harrison was also inspired by Chet Atkins; early Beatles songs such as “All My Loving” show the influence.

जी हाँ ये पंक्तियाँ है आधुनिक हिंदी कविता के प्रमुख कवि और कथाकार नागार्जुन कीं| आज उनकी जयंती है| नागार्जुन का मूल नाम वैद्य नाथ मिश्र था और वह मैथिली भाषा में यात्री नाम से लिखा करते थे, परंतु हिन्दी साहित्य में वे बाबा नागार्जुन के नाम से मशहूर थे|
नागार्जुन ने अपनी फ़क़ीरी और बेबाक़ी से अपनी अनोखी पहचान बनाई। कबीर की पीढ़ी के ये महान् कवि नागार्जुन के नाम से जाने गए। परंपरागत प्राचीन पद्धति से संस्कृत की शिक्षा प्राप्त करने वाले बाबा नागार्जुन हिन्दी, मैथिली, संस्कृत तथा बांग्ला में कविताएँ लिखते थे। मैथिली भाषा में लिखे गए उनके काव्य संग्रह ‘पत्रहीन नग्न गाछ’ के लिए उनको साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। हिन्दी काव्य-मंच पर अपनी सत्यवादिता और लाग-लपेट से रहित कविताएँ लम्बे युग तक गाने के बाद 5 नवम्बर सन् 1998 को ख्वाजा सराय, दरभंगा, बिहार में यह रचनाकार हमारे बीच से विदा हो गये|

Today is the birthday of Saeed Akhtar Mirza is an Indian screenwriter and director in Hindi films and television. He is the maker of notable parallel films such as Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho!, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyoon Aata Hai, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro and Naseem, which won two National Film Awards in 1996. He is also the director of the popular TV serials Nukkad and Intezaar, along with various documentary films on social welfare and cultural activism.
He is also a trustee of ANHAD, a Delhi-based NGO working for communal harmony. Saeed Mirza Was Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at ICA – International Cultural Artifact Film Festival in 2020.

हिन्दी सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार थे। वे भारतीय हिन्दी फ़िल्मों की प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार जोड़ी ‘कल्याणजी आनंदजी’ में से एक थे। कल्याणजी ने हेमंत कुमार के सहायक के तौर पर फ़िल्मी दुनिया में कदम रखा था और वर्ष 1954 में आई फ़िल्म ‘नागिन’ के गीतों के कुछ छंद संगीतबद्ध किए थे। भारतीय फ़िल्मों में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक संगीत की शुरुआत करने का श्रेय कल्याणजी को ही जाता है। कल्याणजी-आनंदजी की जोड़ी ने लगातार तीन दशकों 1960, 1970 और 1980 तक हिन्दी सिनेमा पर राज किया।
‘उपकार’, ‘छलिया’, ‘हिमालय की गोद में’, ‘पूरब-पश्चिम’, ‘सट्टा बाज़ार’, ‘सच्चा झूठा’ तथा ‘जॉनी मेरा नाम’ आदि।
उन्हें संगीत के क्षेत्र में बहुमूल्य योगदान के लिए 1968 तथा 1974 में सर्वश्रेष्ठ संगीतकार का ‘राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार’ तथा ‘फ़िल्म फेयर पुरस्कार’ और 1992 में ‘पद्मश्री’ सम्मान से सम्मानित किया गया|
