Centre has asked IndiGo to end its aircraft lease agreement with Turkish Airlines within three months. The action comes just weeks after the government revoked the security clearance for a Turkey-linked firm, Celebi Aviation, which handled services at nine key airports in India, including Delhi. IndiGo, which has leased and operates two Boeing 777s from Turkish Airlines, had a permit to do so until May 31 and had sought an extension from the Ministry of Civil Aviation for six months. The Ministry has refused to allow this. A statement from the ministry, however, said that “to avoid passenger inconvenience due to immediate flight disruption”, IndiGo has been granted a three-month extension till August 31. The ministry made it clear that this will not be extended further.

The move is aimed at bringing down the retail prices of cooking oils and protecting domestic processors. Punjab is conducting second mock drill under “Operation Shield” today. Special Director General of Police, Home Guards, Sanjeev Kalra, who is also the Director, Civil Defence, has issued the orders in this regard following the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs. This is a precautionary drill. There’s nothing to panic but to follow the instructions and stay away from fake news.
The mock drill will be conducted in the border state of Punjab to augment the civil defence preparedness against any hostile attack. All concerned security agencies, fire brigade, civil defence volunteers are participating in it.
All the Deputy Commissioners of the various districts have issued public instructions about the drill. The hooters cautioning air strike will be sounded during the given timings with complete black-out for that duration and public has to follow the same practiced drill as it did on May 7th and later. All lights including those on inverters or generators have to be switched off. Those travelling by motor on road are also requested to switch off their lights. CHENNAI
Greater Chennai Corporation plans to procure mechanized wheelchairs for individuals with disabilities as part of the Blue Flag initiative at Marina Beach. These wheelchairs are specially designed to move with ease on sand. Apart from that, two more children’s play areas will soon be added under the initiative. The Commissioner J.Kumaragurubaran said that the mechanized wheel chairs can move on sand and would be a welcome addition especially for children who have never had the chance to visit the beach. The civic body first plans to purchase two beach wheelchairs at an estimated 1.15 lakh each. More wheelchairs would be procured as the number of beachgoers grows in the future.

मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता और शिक्षा मंत्री आशीष सूद ने कल राजधानी के सीबीएसई के कक्षा 10वीं और 12वीं के टॉपर विद्यार्थियों को सम्मानित किया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने 87 छात्रों को टेबलेट प्रदान किये। मुख्यमंत्री ने विद्यालयों में शैक्षणिक सत्र 2024-2025 में शत-प्रतिशत परिणाम लाने वाले विद्यालयों को भी पुरस्कार दिए।

दिल्ली- एंटी-स्मॉग गन
पर्यावरण मंत्री मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने निर्देश जारी किया है कि ऊंची इमारतों पर सालभर एंटी-स्मॉग गन की तैनाती की जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि यह फैसला राजधानी के प्रदूषण को देखते हुए लिया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार ने एक लंबे समय से अनदेखे प्रदूषण स्रोत पर कठोर कदम उठाए हैं, जो कि जवाबदेही और पारदर्शिता का एक बेहतरीन उदाहरण है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह पहल न केवल पर्यावरण की रक्षा करती है, बल्कि हमारे भविष्य की पीढ़ियों को स्वच्छ और स्वस्थ हवा देने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह निर्देश सभी व्यावसायिक परिसरों, मॉल, होटलों, कार्यालय, संस्थागत इमारतों पर लागू होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि एंटी-स्मॉग गन की तैनाती के लिए छह महीने की समयसीमा निर्धारित है जबकि संचालन पूरे वर्ष अनिवार्य रहेगा।

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the fifth edition of the Women of Worth programme in Bengaluru on June 4th. The former Chief Secretary of the State and the President of Ubuntu Women Network K Ratna Prabha informed media persons today that Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje will inaugurate an exhibition to coincide with the event. The event will be attended by 300 delegates and around 100 exhibitors will display their products and details of their activities. Ubuntu is a body for women entrepreneurs especially from small towns. It is an umbrella for 57 associations across 12 states. It supports over 30000 women entrepreneurs nationwide.

महाराष्ट्र-कोविड
महाराष्ट्र में कल कोविड-19 के 84 नए मामले सामने आए। इनमें मुंबई से 32, पिंपरी चिंचवाड़ से 19 और ठाणे से 14 मामले दर्ज किये गये। राज्य में कोविड-19 के सक्रिय मरीजों की कुल संख्या 4 सौ सरसठ हो गई है।
राज्य के सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने लोगों से नही घबराने की अपील की है। स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने कहा है कि कोविड के लिए परीक्षण किए गए मरीजों में हल्के लक्षण हैं और राज्य में पर्याप्त जांच और उपचार सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हैं।
पशुपालन विभाग
महाराष्ट्र में पशुपालन मंत्री पंकजा मुंडे ने घोषणा की है कि महाराष्ट्र का पशुपालन विभाग आज लोकमाता अहिल्यादेवी होलकर की 300वीं जयंती मनाने के लिए पूरे राज्य में कई कार्यक्रम आयोजित करेगा। इस अवसर पर विभाग विभिन्न पहल करेगा, जिसमें कार्यालयों और पशु चिकित्सालयों में परिसर सौंदर्यीकरण अभियान, गांव स्तर पर स्वास्थ्य शिविर, तकनीकी मार्गदर्शन, भेड़ और बकरियों के लिए मानसून से पहले टीकाकरण, और मेमने की मृत्यु दर को कम करने के उपाय शामिल हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, वृक्षारोपण अभियान और जागरूकता कार्यशालाएँ भी आयोजित की जाएँगी।

The Telangana state government has finalised the list of over 2 lakh beneficiaries for sanctioning the Indiramma houses, and construction of 24 thousand houses had already begun. State housing minister P. Srinivas Reddy informed that about 100 houses were in the final stages of construction and ready for inauguration. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad yesterday, Indiramma Committees and the local MLA have prepared the lists of beneficiaries in each Assembly Constituency. The minister informed that of the total houses, over Nine thousand will be given to Chenchu tribals in the agency areas.

आज विश्व तंबाकू निषेझ दिवस है।
विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन ने 1987 में तंबाकू के सेवन से होने वाली बीमारियों और मौतों पर लगाम लगाने के लिए इस दिन की शुरुआत की थी। पहली बार 31 मई 1988 को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर तंबाकू निषेध दिवस मनाया गया। इसके बाद से हर साल यह दिन वैश्विक स्तर पर मनाया जाने लगा।

World No Tobacco Day was first observed in the year 1987 with an aim to draw global attention to the tobacco epidemic and the preventable death and disease it causes. अहिल्याबाई होलकर साधारण से किसान के घर पैदा हुई एक महिला थी, जिन्होंने सदैव अपने राज्य और वहां के लोगों के हित में ही कार्य किया। उनके कार्य की प्रणाली बहुत ही सुगम एवं सरल है अर्थात इन्होंने अपने राज्य के लोगों के साथ बड़े ही प्रेम पूर्वक एवं दया के साथ व्यवहार किया। अहिल्याबाई होलकर के इतिहास के बारे में इस ब्लॉग में हम आपको उनके बारे में बताएंगे। उन्होंने कई युद्धों में अपनी सेना का नेतृत्व किया और हाथी पर सवार होकर वीरता के साथ लड़ीं। वे मालवा प्रांत की महारानी थी। अहिल्याबाई होल्कर ने समाज की सेवा के लिए अपना सर्वस्व समर्पित कर दिया।
अहिल्याबाई होलकर का इतिहास करीब 30 साल के अद्भुत शासनकाल के दौरान मराठा प्रांत की राजमाता अहिल्याबाई होलकर ने एक छोटे से गांव इंदौर को एक समृद्ध एवं विकसित शहर बनाने में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी।
उन्होंने यहां पर सड़कों की दशा सुधारने, गरीबों और भूखों के लिए खाने की व्यवस्था करने के साथ-साथ शिक्षा पर भी काफी जोर दिया। अहिल्याबाई की बदौलत ही आज इंदौर की पहचान भारत के समृद्ध एवं विकसित शहरों में होती है।

He became a Wrangler and foundtion scholar from Clare College, Cambridge. On his return to the country, he went to Allahabad and started his teaching career as a professor.

वनराज भाटिया (अंग्रेज़ी: Vanraj Bhatia,जन्म- 31 मई, 1927; मृत्यु- 7 मई, 2021) भारतीय हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार थे। उन्होंने अमिताभ बच्चन और ऋषि कपूर के अभिनय से सजी फ़िल्म ‘अजूबा’ का संगीत दिया था। ‘तमस’, ‘अंकुर’, ‘मंथन’, ‘मंडी’, ‘जुनून’ और ‘कलयुग’ जैसी फिल्मों में भी वनराज भाटिया ने संगीत दिया। वनराज भाटिया को 1988 में गोविंद निहलानी की फिल्म ‘तमस’ में सर्वश्रेष्ठ संगीत के लिए राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार मिला और 2012 में उन्हें पद्मश्री से नवाजा गया।
उन्होंने 60 के दशक में कई मशहूर ऐड फिल्मों का संगीत देते हुए अपने संगीतमय कॅरियर की शुरुआत की थी। वनराज भाटिया ने टीवी धारावहिकों में भी एक से बढ़कर एक संगीत दिए। 1976 में आई फिल्म मंथन हो या फिर फिल्म तमस का संगीत। आईये एक नजर डालते हैं उनके संगीतों पर–

अनिल बिस्वास (अंग्रेज़ी: Anil Biswas, जन्म: 7 जुलाई, 1914; मृत्यु: 31 मई, 2003) बॉलीवुड के प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार थे। हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के गीत-संगीत के स्वर्ण-युग के सारथी अनिल बिस्वास रहे हैं। उन्होंने न सिर्फ अपने संगीत से फ़िल्म संगीत को शास्त्रीय, कलात्मक और मधुर बनाया बल्कि अनेक गायक-गायिकाओं को तराशकर हीरे-जवाहरात की तरह प्रस्तुत किया। इनमें तलत महमूद, मुकेश, लता मंगेशकर, सुरैया के नाम प्रमुखता से गिनाए जा सकते हैं। अनिल बिस्वास शास्त्रीय संगीत के निष्णात होने के साथ लोक-संगीत के अच्छे जानकार थे। उनकी धुनों में जो संगीत है, वह अब हमारी विरासत बन गया है।

कृष्णकुमार कुन्नथ (अंग्रेज़ी: Krishnakumar Kunnath, जन्म- 23 अगस्त, 1968, केरल; मृत्यु- 31 मई, 2022, कोलकाता) प्रसिद्ध भारतीय पार्श्वगायक थे। उन्हें उनके संक्षिप्त नाम ‘केके’ से अधिक जाना जाता था। वह हिंदी, तेलुगु, मलयालम, कन्नड़ और तमिल फिल्मों में प्रमुख गायक रहे। केके ने अपने दोस्तों के साथ एक रॉक बैंड का भी गठन किया था। मशहूर गायक किशोर कुमार और संगीत निर्देशक आर. डी. प्रधान ने केके को बहुत प्रभावित किया था। विख्यात फिल्म निर्देशक विशाल भरद्वाज ने केके को बॉलीवुड में गाने का पहला मौका दिया था। उन्होंने बॉलीवुड में अपना कार्यकाल फ़िल्म ‘माचिस’ के ‘छोड़ आये हम वो गलियाँ’ से शुरू किया। केके 31 मई, 2022 को एक स्टेज प्ररफार्मेंस के दौरान तबियत बिगड़ने से उनकी मौत हो गई थी।
