प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज अपने संसदीय क्षेत्र वाराणसी का दौरा करेंगे और करीब 6 हजार 100 करोड़ रुपये की परियोजनाओं का शुभारंभ करेंगे। वह दोपहर करीब दो बजे काशी पहुंचेंगे और आर झुनझुनवाला शंकरा आई हॉस्पिटल का उद्घाटन करेंगे। इसके बाद शाम करीब 4:15 बजे वह वाराणसी के सिगरा स्टेडियम में कई विकास परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और शिलान्यास करेंगे। इन परियोजनाओं में आगरा हवाई अड्डे पर 570 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के नये सिविल एन्क्लेव का शिलान्यास, दरभंगा हवाई अड्डे पर लगभग 910 करोड़ रुपये और बागडोगरा हवाई अड्डे पर करीब एक हजार 550 करोड़ रुपये की परियोजनाओं का शिलान्यास शामिल है। श्री मोदी 220 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक से बनाए गए रीवा हवाई अड्डे, मां महामाया हवाई अड्डे, अंबिकापुर और सरसावा हवाई अड्डे के नए भवन टर्मिनलों का उद्घाटन भी करेंगे।

India’s candidates have been elected in leadership positions in all 10 Study Groups of the International Telecommunication Unions’ (ITU) Standardization Sector (ITU-T) in the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) which is underway in New Delhi. The study groups include Operational aspects, Economic & policy issues, security, future networks among others. With this India has enhanced its leadership position in ITU-T to 11 positions in WTSA-2024 from 7 in WTSA-2022. India is currently hosting the International Telecommunication Unions’ (ITU) World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) 2024 in New Delhi. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15th October and will continue till the 24th of this month.

केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा है कि सरकार कृषि उपज की कीमतों और बागवानी उत्पादों की खुदरा लागत के बीच भारी असमानता को दूर करने के लिए एक समिति स्थापित करेगी। नई दिल्ली में एक कृषि सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि जहां किसान 5 रुपये प्रति किलो पर सब्जियां बेचते हैं, वहीं उपभोक्ताओं को 50 रुपये का भुगतान करना पड़ता है। इस अंतर को कम करने की जरूरत है। श्री चौहान ने अगले महीने ‘कृषि चौपाल’ शुरू करने की योजना का भी खुलासा किया, जिसका उद्देश्य कृषि अनुसंधान में प्रयोगशाला-से-भूमि अंतर को पाटना है। उन्होंने आईसीएआर, विश्वविद्यालयों और राज्य सरकारों सहित विभिन्न प्राधिकरणों के तहत उनके खंडित प्रबंधन के बारे में चिंताओं को उजागर करते हुए, पूरे भारत में 730 से अधिक कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रों के कामकाज को अनुकूलित करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। श्री चौहान ने राज्यों से कृषि में सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं का प्रदर्शन करने के लिए दो से ढाई एकड़ तक के मॉडल फार्म विकसित करने का आह्वान किया। श्री चौहान ने कहा कि कृषि भारत की आर्थिक रीढ़ है और इस क्षेत्र को मजबूत किये बिना कोई प्रगति संभव नहीं है।

संयुक्त राष्ट्र मानवाधिकार समिति की विस्तृत रिपोर्ट में पाकिस्तान में धार्मिक असहिष्णुता के प्रसार, हिंदू और ईसाई अल्पसंख्यक लड़कियों के जबरन अपहरण तथा धर्मांतरण, मीडिया और अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी पर अंकुश लगाने पर गंभीर चिंता प्रकट की गई है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र समिति ने शिया मुसलमानों, ईसाइयों, अहमदियों, हिंदुओं और सिखों पर बढ़ते हमलों तथा धमकियों से निपटने में पाकिस्तान सरकार की अक्षमता पर भी सवाल उठाए हैं। नागरिक और राजनीतिक अधिकारों पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र की अंतरराष्ट्रीय समिति ने पाकिस्तान में मानवाधिकार स्थितियों की समीक्षा के दौरान ये चिंताएं प्रकट की। रिपोर्ट में देश में आम चुनाव में गडबड के लिए सोशल मीडिया और इंटरनेट पर सरकारी संस्थानों और अधिकारियों के प्रतिबंधों, रुकावटों और निगरानी पर भी सवाल उठाए गए हैं।

Seventeen Rameswaram’s fishermen who were released from Srilankan Prison were received by Fisheries Department officials when they reached Chennai yesterday. The fishermen were rounded up by Srilankan Navy personnel in the early hours of 29th last month when they ventured into the sea for fishing. They were arrested for fishing beyond territorial waters, and their boats were seized. The Indian Embassy officials in Srilanka held talks with the Government resulting in the release of the fishermen.

The Chennai Corporation will begin spot fining of residents violating civic rules. It will penalise indiscriminate dumping of garbage on road, non-segregation of waste, illegal sewage discharge and straying of cattle using points of sale devices to collect the fine amount. Even property tax will be collected using these devices. About 500 POS devices have been procured and distributed to Corporation personnel who have been mandated to penalise violators just as traffic police personnel do in case of road rule violations.

The Karnataka Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Information & Technology and Biotechnology, Priyank Kharge inaugurated the Panchayat Raj Officers Conclave in Bengaluru yesterday.
The conclave addressed the essential aspects of rural development, such as water management, sanitation, employment schemes, and technological innovations in governance. Speaking at the event, Mr. Priyank Kharge said that the conclave is more than just a meeting; it is a crucible of ideas, a platform for knowledge exchange, and a launchpad for transformative initiatives. Four major softwares were launched at the event. The JeevaJala Water Quality app was launched on this occasion. It is an innovative tool for real-time monitoring of the drinking water quality in rural areas.

The Bison division of the Indian Army has held a Road Safety Conclave along with the Telangana state police in Hyderabad to raise awareness about various aspects of road safety and prevent accidents of both military and personal vehicles. The new generation technological implants that can be retrofitted in all vehicles to assist the driver and reduce driving fatigue to prevent accidents were kept on display.
The two-day conclave highlighted the importance of the traffic rules and the fallout of violations besides creating awareness about the Good Samaritan Law and their rights.
Speaking on the occasion, General Officer Commanding, Bison Division, Major General Akhilesh Kumar said most of the accidents can be avoided and awareness will help people to follow the traffic rules. He said the initiative has been taken to create greater awareness among personnel and their family members.

दिल्ली हाफ मैराथन आज सुबह चार बजकर पैतालीस मिनट पर जवाहरलाल नेहरू स्टेडियम से शुरू हुई। यह मैराथन भीष्म पितामह मार्ग, लोधी रोड, मथुरा रोड, कर्तव्य पथ, संसद मार्ग और रफी मार्ग से होते हुए स्टेडियम परिसर के बाहर समाप्त होगी। मैराथन के कारण दक्षिण और मध्य दिल्ली में यातायात प्रभावित रहेगा। सुबह 11 बजे तक लगभग छह घंटे तक यातायात को नियंत्रित किया जाएगा। दिल्ली हाफ मैराथन में विभिन्न उम्र के लोग बडी संख्या में भाग ले रहे हैं।

रेलवे सुरक्षा बल हाफ मैराथन में भाग ले रहा है। इसका उद्देश्य बाल तस्करी के विरूद्ध जागरूकता बढाना है। रेल मंत्रालय ने कहा कि आरपीएफ के ध्येय वाक्य- हमारा मिशन: ट्रेनों में बाल तस्करी को रोकना – के तहत समूचे रेल नेटवर्क में बाल तस्करी के खिलाफ जागरूकता फैलाना है। इस मैराथन में 26 आरपीएफ सदस्य भाग ले रहे हैं।

दिल्ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय ने राजधानी में खराब हो रही वायु गुणवत्ता के लिए पड़ोसी राज्यों को जिम्मेदार बताया है। श्री राय ने कहा कि प्रदूषण की रोकथाम के लिए पडोसी राज्य ठोस कदम नहीं उठा रहे हैं जिसकी वजह से वहां का प्रदूषण राजधानी की वायु को खराब कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि उतर प्रदेश, हरियाणा और राजस्थान में भाजपा नेतृत्व की सरकारें हैं लेकिन वह प्रदूषण को लेकर निष्क्रिय हैं।

दिल्ली के अखिल भारतीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान में चल रहा तीन दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन ‘एडवांसमेंट ऑफ़ रिसर्च एंड ग्लोबल ऑपरट्यूनिटी फॉर होलिस्टिक आयुर्वेदा” आरोहा-2024’ कल सम्पन्न हो गया। “आयुर्वेद में अनुसंधान की प्रगति और वैश्विक अवसर”, विषय पर आयोजित इस सम्मेलन में वैश्विक स्वास्थ्य चुनौतियों के समाधान के लिए आयुर्वेद की भूमिका पर चर्चा की गई। जिसमें दुनिया भर से विशेषज्ञों और प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया। संस्थान की निदेशक, प्रोफेसर डॉक्टर तनुजा नेसरी ने कहा कि इस सम्मेलन ने विशेषज्ञों को एक साथ लाने का काम किया है। सम्मेलन के दौरान 15 वैज्ञानिक सत्र और कार्यशालाएं आयोजित की गईं, जिनमें 400 से अधिक शोध पत्र प्रस्तुत किए गए। इस सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य आयुर्वेद को वैश्विक स्तर पर मान्यता दिलाने और आधुनिक स्वास्थ्य प्रणालियों के साथ एकीकरण करने की दिशा में अनुसंधान और नवाचार को प्रोत्साहित करना था।

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने जिला कलेक्टरों को महाराष्ट्र के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में हाल की बेमौसम बारिश के कारण हुए कृषि और अन्य नुकसान के लिए तुरंत आकलन सर्वेक्षण करने और मुआवजा जारी करने का निर्देश दिया है। अमरावती, पुणे, नासिक, कोल्हापुर और मराठवाड़ा क्षेत्र के कई जिलों में पिछले कुछ दिनों में भारी बारिश हुई है। कुछ क्षेत्रों में तेज हवाओं का भी प्रभाव रहा। एक अनुमान के अनुसार धान, सोयाबीन, तुअर, कपास, गन्ना सहित खड़ी फसलों और कटी हुई उपज फलों के बागों को काफी नुकसान हुआ है। मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में जिला स्तरीय आपदा प्रबंधन प्रकोष्ठों को सक्रिय करने के निर्देश भी दिए।

सुंदरबन सहकारी दुग्ध संघ एवं पशुधन उत्पादक संघ सुंदरिनी और राष्ट्रीय डेयरी विकास बोर्ड एनडीडीबी को संयुक्त रूप से डायरी नवाचार पुरस्कार 2024 से सम्मानित किया गया है। यह पुरस्कार अंतर्राष्ट्रीय डेयरी फेडरेशन द्वारा सतत कृषि पद्धतियों में नवाचार – सामाजिक आर्थिक श्रेणी के तहत दिया गया। पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार के पशु संसाधन विकास विभाग के तहत सहकारी दुग्ध संघ सुंदरिनी से जुड़ी महिलाओं को बधाई दी है। पश्चिम बंगाल के दक्षिण 24 परगना जिले में सहकारी दुग्ध संघ और पशुधन उत्पादक संघ सुंदरिनी से 4500 महिला किसान जुड़ी हुई हैं। सहकारी दुग्ध संघ द्वारा प्रतिदिन 2000 लीटर दूध का उत्पादन किया जाता है और प्रसंस्कृत दूध उत्पाद प्रतिदिन 250 किलोग्राम का उत्पादन किया जाता है।

Shyam Kumari Khan née Nehru (20 October 1904 – 9 June 1980) was an Indian lawyer, freedom fighter, politician and social worker. She was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1963 to 1968.
Khan studied at Allahabad University and was the first woman to become secretary, vice-president and president of the Allahabad University Union in the years 1924–28. A lawyer by profession, she defended Yashpal, a writer, freedom fighter and political prisoner, during his trial in 1932 when he was imprisoned for his attempts to overthrow the British Empire.
In 1932, she joined the Khilafat Movement and the Civil Disobedience Movement and led women freedom fighters along with Kamala Nehru. She was also one of the prominent women leaders during the Salt March along with her mother Uma Nehru.

Ustad Nasir Aminuddin Dagar (20 October 1923 at Indore, India – 28 December 2000 Kolkata, India), of Dagar Gharana of Dhrupad singing was an Indian dhrupad singer in the dagar-vani style, the second-eldest among four Dhrupad singing brothers.
He is also remembered as the younger brother in the legendary jugalbandi or duo of Senior Dagar Brothers. He and his elder brother Ustad Nasir Moinuddin Dagar revived the dhrupad tradition in Dagar Gharana that had fallen off after the death of their father Ustad Nasiruddin Khan Dagar. Ustad Nasiruddin Khan had an early premonition of his death and spent ten years imparting his musical knowledge to his two elder sons. After Ustad Nasiruddin Khan’s demise, the brothers trained under Ustad Riyazuddin Khan and Ustad Ziauddin Khan Dagar.

He and his brothers, who were also dhrupad singers, were believed to be the 19th generation of singers–dating to the 18th century–in the Dagar family.

Deviprasad Dwivedi is an Indian writer and teacher, known for his scholarship in Sanskrit literature. The Government of India honoured Sharma in 2011, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of the Padma Shri and followed it up with Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award, in 2017.
Deviprasad Dwivedi was born on 2h0 October 1956[3] in Varanasi, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He passed his first master’s degree (MA) in Sociology from the Banares Hindu University and followed it up with the degrees of Sahityacharya and Acharya (MA Linguistics) from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, (SSU) Varanasi. His doctoral degree (PhD) also came from the same university. He has also secured the degree of DLitt from the SSU.[4]
Dwivedi started his career by joining his alma mater as a faculty member and is the Professor of Linguistics, in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. He is also the Deputy Director at Yog Sadhana Kendra and Shankrachrya Mandap of the university. A visiting faculty at the Assam University, Dwivedi has assisted many research scholars for their theses. He is also credited with many articles and books, Baudha Darshan Mimansa, Chitra Champu Kavyasya Sasamiksham Sampadanam, Sanskrit Dhwani Vigyan, Kavya Shastriya Paribhashik Shabdon Ki Nirukti being a few of them.
Deviprasad Dwivedi has worked as a newscaster for Akashvani and serves as the trustee of Shri Venimadhvapur Trust, Mirzapur and Shri Vishveshwar Trust, Varanasi and as the Acharya of Kashi Vishwanath temple. He has also served Janvarta Hindi Dainik, a local daily, as its Varanasi correspondent. A member of the Discipline Committee of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, and a former member of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Dwivedi has been nominated as a member of the committee of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign, initiated by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.
Dwivedi has received several honours such as the Aacharya Ratna award from the Pazhassi Raja Charitable Trust, Kerala,[13] Ved Pandit Puraskar (1995), Chatrapati Sivaji Samman (2011) and Kashi Gaurav Alankarn (2011).[3] In 2011, he was honored by the Government of India with the civilian award of Padma Shri.[3] He was also honored with the title of Padma Bhushan in 2017.

Kedarnath Bhattacharya (born 20 October 1957), professionally known as Kumar Sanu, is an Indian playback singer who primarily sings in Hindi film songs. Apart from Hindi, he has also sung in other languages including Marathi, Nepali, Assamese, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Manipuri, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Punjabi, Odia, Chhattisgarhi, Urdu, Pali, English and his native language Bengali. Both in West Bengal and Bangladesh, he holds the record for winning five consecutive Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer from 1991 to 1995. He holds the Guinness World Record for recording the maximum number of songs (28 songs) in a single day since 1993.
For his contribution to Indian cinema and music, he was awarded the Padma Shri in 2009 by the Government of India. Many of his tracks feature in BBC’s “Top 40 Bollywood Soundtracks of all time”
Kumar Sanu started his playback career as Sanu Bhattacharya from 1983. In 1986, he was in the Bangladeshi film Teen Kanya,[13] directed by Shibli Sadiq. He had his first major Bollywood song in Hero Hiralal (1988).
In 1989, Jagjit Singh introduced Sanu to Kalyanji in Vimal Bunglow, Mumbai. On their suggestion, Sanu changed his early name from “Sanu Bhattacharya” to “Kumar Sanu” after his idol Kishore Kumar. Sanu then relocated to Mumbai, where Kalyanji-Anandji gave him a chance to sing in the film Jaadugar.
He rose to fame in the 1990s and became one of the most prominent voices in Bollywood, lending his vocals to countless hit songs. His collaboration with composers like Nadeem-Shravan, Anu Malik, and Jatin-Lalit resulted in numerous chart-topping tracks. Sanu’s romantic ballads and soulful renditions have made him a favorite among music lovers, earning him several awards and accolades throughout his career.
Kumar Sanu got his major break when Gulshan Kumar, along with music directors Nadeem–Shravan gave him chance to sing most of the songs of movie Aashiqui (1990), songs were recorded earlier for an album and later movie was made around the songs. The movie as well as the songs were a grand success.
