The fair will run from 7 th Feb that is fron today till 23rd of this month everyday from 10 AM TO 8 PM. promising to be a mesmerizing showcase of artistic excellence and cultural heritage.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Fair in Faridabad. The partner states for this year's fair are Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. The annual fair is being attended by nearly 600 participants from around 42 countries including Egypt, Ethiopia, Syria, Afghanistan, Belarus among others. It aims to promote handicrafts, handlooms with the aid of craftsmen invited from all over the country.

A large number of book lovers from all over the country are enjoying the New Delhi World Book Fair organized at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. The nine-day event was inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu and will end on Sunday. More than fifty countries are participating in the book fair. A report:
This year, in addition to Russia being the focus nation, the Fair will see participation from several countries like Italy, France, Qatar, UAE, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Colombia and Turkey. Nearly two thousand publishers and one thousand speakers are attending the event. The Book Fair contains a wide collection of books of different types and genres, ranging from educational books to novels, from biographies to comic books. Apart from this, parents were also seen shopping for books with children in the pavilion specially made for the kids. Talking to Akashvani News, Antara Jha shared her experiences on visiting the mega fair.
Another visitor named Rishi Jorwal talked about his experience on meeting diverse book authors of various genres.

The 35th edition of Puducherry’s Flower, Vegetable, and Fruit Exhibition blooms into action today at the picturesque Botanical Garden, marking the start of a three-day celebration of nature and agriculture. The festival will be inaugurated by Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy. Organized by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Puducherry government, the event promises a stunning array of flowers, agricultural produce, and innovative farming techniques. Benchmark domestic equity indices today ended with modest losses, extending their losing streak to third consecutive session. The 30-share index at Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, dipped 198 points, or 0.25 percent, to close at 77,860. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange Nifty-50 fell 43 points, or 0.18 percent, to settle at 23,560. In the Global Crude Market, Brent Crude was trading over 0.8 percent up at 74 dollars and 93 cents per barrel, and WTI Crude also added 0.8 percent to trade at 71 dollars and 18 cents per barrel, when reports last came in. In the Indian bullion market, the 24 Karat Gold was trading up at 84,720 rupees for 10 grams, and Silver 999 fine, is also trading up at 96,010 per kilogram, when reports last came in.

Praveen Kumar Sobti (6 December 1947 – 7 February 2022) was an Indian hammer and discus thrower, film actor, politician, and soldier with Border Security Force. As a 20-year-old he joined then newly raised Border Security Force from where he attracted the attention of his officers through his fine athletic skills and went on to represent India at various athletic events in "Discus throw". As an athlete he won four medals at the Asian Games, including two gold medals, won a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games and competed in two Olympics. As an actor, he starred in more than 50 Hindi films and played the famous character of "Bheem" in B.R. Chopra's television series Mahabharat that started in 1988. As a politician he contested the 2013 Delhi Legislative elections on an Aam Aadmi Party ticket, but lost.

Sujit Kumar (7 February 1934 – 5 February 2010) was an Indian actor and producer. He appeared in over 150 Hindi films in the 1960s through the 1990s, and in at least 20 Bhojpuri films. Sujit played the major lead actor in many films in Bhojpuri cinema whereas in Hindi films he played pivotal roles either as a villain or as a character actor. One of his most memorable screen appearances was of a friend playing the mouth organ while driving a jeep as Rajesh Khanna's character serenades Sharmila Tagore in the 1969 film Aradhana.
