On World Youth Skills Day, young people across Nagaland came together to celebrate journeys of learning that have led to employment, entrepreneurship, and new opportunities. Our Kohima Correspondent reports.
“World Youth Skills Day is more than a celebration of training programmes. It is a reminder that skills can transform lives by opening doors to employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In Kohima today, the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission, under the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland, marked the day by launching the Nagaland Japanese Language Centre. The initiative aims to equip youth with Japanese language proficiency, enhancing their employability and preparing them for opportunities in Japan and other global markets. Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Higher & Technical Education & Transport Government of Nagaland, Temjenmenba reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s skills ecosystem and called the youth as the torch bearer of the society.
As a pilot project, a total of 50 candidates will be undergoing the Japanese Language from For Parikrama, Asonuo from Kohima.”

Keralam has emerged as one of the early beneficiaries of the India UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, with exporters wasting no time in tapping the opportunities opened up by the landmark agreement. On the very first day the agreement came into force, seafood export consignments bound for the United Kingdom were dispatched from Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. “Industry experts say Keralam is particularly well placed to benefit from the agreement. The state has a strong presence in food processing, seafood, textiles and footwear manufacturing. With duties being reduced or eliminated across several product categories, exporters are expected to become more competitive in the UK market. For Keralam’s food processing sector, the agreement could have a far reaching impact. A large share of the state’s food industry consists of micro, small and medium enterprises. Lower trade barriers are therefore expected to benefit not just large exporters but thousands of small businesses and entrepreneurs across the state. The seafood sector, a major contributor to Keralam’s economy, is expected to be among the biggest gainers. The United Kingdom is already an important destination for Indian seafood exports, and the preferential provisions under the new agreement are expected to boost bilateral trade, encourage sustainable growth in seafood exports and create better income opportunities for exporters, seafood processors, fishers and the aquaculture farming community. The textile and footwear idustries are also expected to receive a significant boost. Industry representatives point out that these sectors operate in highly competitive international markets, where even a modest reduction in costs can make a substantial difference. Improved price competitiveness is expected to strengthen the position of Kerala based manufacturers exporting garments and footwear to the United Kingdom. “कृषि विभाग द्वारा आयोजित इन कार्यशालाओं में प्रत्येक बैच में लगभग तीस किसानों को प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है। प्रशिक्षण के दौरान जीवामृत, बीजामृत, घनजीवामृत, दशपर्णी अर्क और पौध मलहम जैसे जैव–आदानों को तैयार करने और उनके प्रभावी उपयोग का व्यावहारिक अभ्यास कराया जा रहा है। साथ ही मिट्टी की उर्वरता बढ़ाने, फसल संरक्षण और कम लागत में बेहतर उत्पादन के उपायों की भी जानकारी दी जा रही है। शिमला जिले के बसंतपुर विकास खंड की खटनोल पंचायत में आयोजित प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में आतमा परियोजना के उपनिदेशक डॉ. अनिल ठाकुर ने किसानों को प्राकृतिक खेती की तकनीकों और प्राकृतिक संसाधनों के संरक्षण के महत्व से अवगत कराया। उन्होंने किसानों के खेतों का निरीक्षण कर खेती और बागवानी से जुड़े व्यावहारिक सुझाव भी दिए। वहीं, सोलन जिले के कंडाघाट विकास खंड की तुंदल पंचायत में राष्ट्रीय प्राकृतिक खेती मिशन के अंतर्गत किसानों को जैव–आदान तैयार करने और उनके उपयोग का प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया गया। राजीव गांधी प्राकृतिक खेती खुशहाल किसान योजना के राज्य नोडल अधिकारी डॉ. अतुल डोगरा ने कहा है कि प्रदेश सरकार प्राकृतिक खेती को बढ़ावा देने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास कर रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि प्राकृतिक खेती से जुड़े उत्पादों पर किसानों को देश में सबसे अधिक न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य उपलब्ध कराया जा रहा है। उनका कहना है कि वैज्ञानिक जानकारी और नियमित प्रशिक्षण के माध्यम से अधिक से अधिक किसान प्राकृतिक खेती अपनाकर अपनी आय बढ़ा सकते हैं और पर्यावरण संरक्षण में भी महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे सकते हैं। परिक्रमा के लिए आकाशवाणी शिमला से मैं रितेश कपूर.”

दोस्तो अब हम चलते है गुजरात जहा अहमदाबाद ने हालही में एक बड़ी उपलब्धि हासिल की है की, जिसने पर्यावरण संरक्षण की नई मिसाल खड़ी की है। केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के ‘हरियाली लोकसभा क्षेत्र’ के संकल्प को साकार करते हुए, अहमदाबाद नगर निगम ने भाड़ज में एक ही घंटे में सवा तीन लाख से अधिक पौधे लगाकर ‘गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड’ अपने नाम किया है। आइए, जानते हैं इस ऐतिहासिक महाअभियान के बारे में हमारी संवाददाता से

बाल गन्धर्व मृत्यु– 15 जुलाई, 1967, पुणे
कुछ कलाकार ऐसे होते हैं जिनकी आवाज़ और अभिनय समय की सीमाओं को पार कर जाते हैं। मराठी रंगमंच के ऐसे ही अमर सितारे थे – बाल गंधर्व। मराठी रंगमंच के महान् नायक और प्रसिद्ध गायक थे। उन्होंने रंगमंच पर अपने अभिनय की शुरुआत सर्वप्रथम शकुंतला का चरित्र निभाकर की थी। नारायण श्रीपाद राजहंस को ‘बाल गन्धर्व’ के नाम से अधिक जाना जाता है। बाल गन्धर्व मराठी रंगमंच पर महिला चरित्रों को निभाते थे, क्योंकि तत्कालीन समय में महिलाएँ रंगमंच पर किसी भी प्रकार की भूमिका नहीं निभाती थीं।
Lokmanya Tilak, a social reformer and a freedom fighter of the Indian independence movement was in the audience, and after the performance, reportedly patted Rajhans on the back and said that Narayan was a “Bal Gandharva” (lit. Young Gandharva). Bal Gandharva married twice. At a very young age, he was married to Lakshmibai, a lady from his own Deshastha Brahmin community and hailing from a respectable family with similar background, in a match arranged by their parents in the usual Indian tradition.

अब बात एक ऐसी महिला की, जिन्होंने अपना पूरा जीवन लोगों के स्वास्थ्य और मातृ-शिशु कल्याण को बेहतर बनाने के लिए समर्पित कर दिया। ये थीं – डॉ. बानो जहाँगीर कोया-जी। डॉ. बानो जहाँगीर कोया-जी देश की जानी-मानी चिकित्सक और समाजसेवी थीं। उन्होंने पुणे के, के. ई. एम. अस्पताल में वर्षों तक सेवा देते हुए ज़रूरतमंद लोगों तक बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएँ पहुँचाने का काम किया। विशेष रूप से मातृ एवं शिशु स्वास्थ्य तथा परिवार नियोजन के क्षेत्र में उनके प्रयासों को देश-विदेश में सराहा गया। समाज और चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में उनके योगदान के लिए उन्हें रैमॉन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार और पद्म भूषण जैसे प्रतिष्ठित सम्मानों से सम्मानित किया गया। 15 जुलाई 2004 को उनका निधन हुआ, लेकिन स्वास्थ्य सेवा के क्षेत्र में उनका योगदान आज भी प्रेरणा देता है।

Durgabāi Deshmukh
Durgabāi Deshmukh (née Gummididala, 15 July 1909 – 9 May 1981) was an Indian freedom fighter, lawyer, social worker and politician. She was a member of the Constituent Assembly of India and of the Planning Commission of India. A public activist for women’s emancipation, she founded the Andhra Mahila Sabha (Andhra Women’s Conference) in 1937. She was also the founder chairperson of the Central Social Welfare Board. In 1953, she married C.D. Deshmukh, the first Indian governor of the Reserve Bank of India and Finance Minister in India’s Central Cabinet from 1950 to 1956.

प्रसिद्ध मलयालम साहित्यकार एम. टी. वासुदेव नायर को लोकप्रिय रूप से ‘एमटी’ कहा जाता है। लेखक, पटकथा लेखक और फिल्म निर्देशक हैं। वे आधुनिक मलयालम साहित्य में विपुल और बहुमुखी लेखक हैं। मलयालम भाषा के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार। 2025 में श्री एम. टी. वासुदेवन नायर को मरणोपरांत साहित्य एवं शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में असाधारण कार्य करने के लिए पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित किया गया है।
He was an Indian author, lecturer, screenplay writer, filmmaker and literary statesman. He was a prolific and versatile writer in modern Malayalam literature, and was one of the masters of post-Independence Indian literature. Randamoozham, which retells the story of the Mahabharata from the point of view of Bhimasena, is widely credited as his masterpiece.
