Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to a tea garden in Dibrugarh, Assam this morning and interacted with women working there. Prime Minister lauded their contribution to the state’s globally renowned tea industry. The Prime Minister said Assam is globally known for its tea and noted that with the upcoming semiconductor plant in Morigaon, the state will soon gain recognition for semiconductor chips.

Assam remains one of the world’s largest tea-producing regions, with districts such as Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, and Jorhat forming the backbone of the industry. The sector employs lakhs of workers and plays a vital role in India’s tea exports and regional economy. India being the largest producer as well as the largest consumer of black tea in the world, tea has become one of the most important commercial crops of the country. The commercial production of tea started in India in the late 1830s, before which, the tea plant was growing wild in the jungles of north east Assam.
सरकार भारतीय चाय को बागान क्षेत्र में सबसे आगे लाने के लिए लगातार प्रयास कर रही है।

The Indian tea is exported world wide. Some of the major importers of Indian tea include Russia, UK, USA, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Poland, Germany, Afghanistan et al. There are distinct tea growing regions in India which are geographically separated, thereby, producing entirely different varieties of tea in terms of aroma and flavour. These regions include Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri.
भारत की असम, दार्जिलिंग और नीलगिरी चाय को दुनिया की सबसे बेहतरीन चायों में से एक माना जाता है।
जहाँ एक ओर ब्लैक टी (काली चाय) निर्यात में सबसे आगे है और देश के कुल चाय निर्यात का 96 प्रतिशत हिस्सा इसी का है, वहीं दूसरी ओर ग्रीन टी, हर्बल टी, मसाला टी और लेमन टी जैसी अन्य किस्में भी भारत की बढ़ती अंतरराष्ट्रीय साख में योगदान दे रही हैं।
भारत सरकार ने ‘टी बोर्ड’ के माध्यम से उत्पादन बढ़ाने, भारतीय चाय के लिए एक खास पहचान बनाने और चाय की खेती से जुड़े परिवारों के कल्याण को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कई पहलें की हैं।
Darjeeling – Nestling in the foothills of the snow-covered Himalayan range, Darjeeling is home to this exclusive tea. The cool and moist climate, the soil, the rainfall and the sloping terrain all combine to give Darjeeling tea its unique “Muscatel” flavor. The combination of natural factors that give Darjeeling tea its unique distinction is not found anywhere else in the world. The tea has over the years acquired the reputation of being the “Champagne of Teas.”
असम बाघ और एक सींग वाले गैंडे की धरती, असम में चाय की ज़बरदस्त पैदावार होती है।

Goa has emerged as a frontrunner in implementing the Central Government’s Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana 2.0. The initiative aims to empower rural youth with skills and employment opportunities. We have more from correspondent;
“Goa is setting a national example in rolling out DDU-GKY 2.0, with 12 training centres already operational across the state. Around 1,200 students have enrolled so far, and the target is to train 12,000 youth over the next two financial years. Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the scheme is being effectively implemented to boost skills and livelihoods among rural youth. He was speaking at a programme held at Lok Bhavan.
The scheme focuses on aligning training with industry demand and ensuring at least 70 percent placement. The government has also sanctioned loans worth 509 crore rupees in recent years to support youth. Goa has become the first state in the country to fully operationalise DDU-GKY 2.0, strengthening its vision of a skilled and self-reliant workforce. For Parikrama, Brian, Panaji.”

आइए जानते हैं, कैसे यह छोटा सा निवेश यात्रियों के सफर को सुखद बना रहा है।
“अहमदाबाद का कालूपुर रेलवे स्टेशन इन दिनों अपनी पटरियों के साथ–
साथ अपनी प्रीमियम सुविधाओं के लिए भी चर्चा का केंद्र बना हुआ है।पश्चिम रेलवे द्वारा शुरू किया गया यह अत्याधुनिक एसी वेटिंग हॉल मध्यम वर्ग के यात्रियों के लिए एक वरदान साबित हो रहा है।
आंकड़ों की जुबानी कहें तो पिछले 90 दिनों में एक लाख से अधिक यात्रियों ने प्लेटफॉर्म की भीड़भाड़ और शोरगुल से दूर इस शांत और ठंडे माहौल को चुना है।
इस प्रोजेक्ट की सफलता का सबसे बड़ा प्रमाण रेलवे को हुई 25 लाख रुपये की रिकॉर्ड कमाई है।

In Nagaland’s Phek district, a quiet revolution in farming is taking root – led entirely by women. In Chizami village, over 200 traditional seed varieties are being preserved, protecting not just crops, but culture, climate resilience, and food security. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently highlighted their efforts in his Mann Ki Baat programme. Our Kohima correspondent brings you this story…
“Nestled in the hills of Nagaland, the women of Chizami village in Phek district are safeguarding a rich agricultural heritage. At the Chizami Community Seed Bank – managed by the Chizami Women Society with support from the Northeast Network – over 200 traditional seed varieties are carefully preserved. From vibrant rice strains to hardy millets and colourful maize, each seed tells a story of resilience. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his recent Mann Ki Baat address, praised the women of Chizami for strengthening food security and preserving indigenous knowledge.

Currently, the seed bank preserves around 200 varieties of traditional crops including diverse types of rice, millets, pulses, and vegetables. Marking the sacred Bak Full Moon Poya, the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka organised a cultural exhibition in Sri Lanka celebrating the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha through the lens of modern Indian art. The initiative highlighted India’s rich Buddhist heritage and its enduring cultural and spiritual links with Sri Lanka. A report;
“To mark the sacred Bak Full Moon Poya, the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka hosted a special cultural exhibition titled “Buddham Sharanam Gacchami” at the Mulagandhakuti Piriven Maha Viharaya. The exhibition featured artworks on the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha by icons of modern Indian art, highlighting India’s enduring spiritual legacy. Visitors also explored India’s rich Buddhist heritage through displays of sacred sites linked to the Buddha’s journey across the subcontinent. Adding a special touch, Sinhala editions of Jataka Tales were distributed to young student monks and Dhamma school children – sharing timeless stories and values with the next generation, and celebrating the deep civilisational ties between India and Sri Lanka. केशव बलिराम हेडगेवार जन्म- 1 अप्रैल, 1889; मृत्यु- 21 जून, 1940) भारत के महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे, जिन्होंने अपना समूचा जीवन हिन्दू समाज व राष्ट्र के लिए समर्पित कर दिया था।
डॉ. हेडगेवार पहले क्रांतिकारी थे, किंतु बाद में हिन्दू संगठनवादी बन गए। वे जीवन के अंतिम समय तक हिंदुओं को एकता के सूत्र में बांधने के लिए अथक प्रयत्न करते रहे।
उन्होंने हिंदुओं के संगठन के लिए ही ‘राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ’ की स्थापना की थी।
केशव बलिराम हेडगेवार अपने जीवन के प्रारंभ और मध्य काल में क्रांतिकारी थे।
उनका अरविंद घोष, भाई परमानंद, सुखदेव एवं राजगुरु आदि महान क्रांतिकारियों से संपर्क था।
विद्यार्थी जीवन में उन्होंने ‘वन्दे मातरम्’ आंदोलन चलाया था।

KAILASH VAJPEYI, 1936-2015, a poet and thinker, was a pre-eminent figure of his generation in the world of Hindi letters. He wrote in Hindi and English, poetry as well as prose. He received numerous literary and cultural awards, published close to twenty books and made about as many documentary films. He travelled all over the world between 1970 and 2010. His poetry has been translated into several Indian and European languages.He won a Sahitya Akademi Award (Hindi Poetry) in 2009 for his collection Hawa Mein Hastaakshar.

आज जन्मदिन है जबीन जलील का।
हिन्दी सिनेमा प्रेमियों के लिए 1950 और 60 के दशक में वे एक जाना पहचाना नाम रहीं।
अभिनेत्री, जबीन जलील अपने समय में दर्शकों के बीच काफ़ी प्रसिद्ध रहीं। क़रीब 20 साल के अपने कॅरियर के दौरान भले ही जबीन ने महज़ 24 हिन्दी और 4 पंजाबी फ़िल्मों में काम किया हो, लेकिन अपनी ख़ूबसूरती और दिलकश अभिनय के दम पर उस जमाने में उन्होंने लाखों लोगों को अपना दीवाना बनाया।
हिन्दी सिनेमा का स्वर्ण काल कहलाए जाने वाले उस दौर की चर्चित अभिनेत्री जबीन सिनेमा के क्षेत्र में प्रोडयूसर के रूप में भी सक्रिय रहीं। लुटेरा’, ‘नई दिल्ली’, ‘चारमीनार’, ‘जीवनसाथी’, ‘रात के राही’, ‘बंटवारा’, ‘खिलाड़ी’, ‘ताजमहल’ और ‘राजू’ उनकी मुख्य फिल्में रहीं।
Jabeen Jalil won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Punjabi film Chaudhary Karnail Singh (1960), in which she starred alongside Prem Chopra.
