Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati has appointed Akash Anand as Chief National Coordinator of the party. The decision was taken at a national-level meeting at the party’s Central Office located in New Delhi. It was also decided that Akash Anand will take charge of the BSP’s future programmes in the country.
During the meeting, the BSP Chief also appreciated the valour and courage of the Indian Armed Forces under Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. She emphasised that the central government should continue to take strong and effective measures against terrorism so that the government can focus its attention and resources fully towards achieving the aspirations of a developed India. She added that it is important to strictly follow the national consensus of not accepting US or any other third-party interference on the Kashmir issue.
The party has also announced that it will contest the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar alone.
