BSF Punjab Frontier hosts ‘Bordermen Marathon 2026’ in Amritsar

As part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations marking 60 years of dedicated service to the nation, the Border Security Force (BSF), Punjab Frontier, today organized the ‘Bordermen Marathon – 2026’ in Amritsar.

The marathon featured three categories of Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10 kilometers run. Oganized under the aegis of the Fit India Movement, it was held under the theme of “Hand in Hand with Border Population,” Inspector General, BSF Punjab Frontier, Dr. Atul Fulzele flagged off the marathon in which over 7,500 runners from across the country including civilians, armed forces personnel, police officers, ex-servicemen and international athletes participated in it.

 

The event was recognized by the Athletics Federation of India as well.

The event concluded with a grand ceremony at Joint Check Post Attari, where winners were felicitated. The ceremony also featured a performance by the BSF Mahila Band and vibrant cultural presentations showcasing Punjab’s rich heritage.
