BJP’s Neeta Thakre has been elected as the Mayor of Nagpur. The first special meeting of all newly elected members from the general municipal elections was held this morning in Reshimbagh. In the mayoral election, Neeta Thakre received 104 votes, while Congress candidate Snehal Thakre secured 36 votes. One vote each from the Nationalist Congress Party and the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) went to the BJP, while both votes of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) went to the Congress. Eleven members from the BSP, AIMIM, and the Muslim League remained neutral.
