BJP-Shiv Sena alliance heads for victory in BMC elections with lead in 119 seats

The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance appears to be leading to a win in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. The alliance is leading in 119 seats, with the BJP ahead in 88 seats and Shiv Sena in 31 seats.
 
In comparison, the Shiv Sena-UBT (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) is leading in 64 seats, while the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is ahead in only six seats. 
 
In the Thane Municipal Corporation, Shiv Sena has emerged as a major winner with 24 seats, followed by BJP with 5, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) with 4, NCP-Sharad Pawar with 4, and AIMIM with 5 seats. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena is leading in 19 seats, NCP-SP in 6, NCP in 6, BJP in 2, and AIMIM in 1 seat.
 
In Navi Mumbai, the BJP is dominating the trends, leading in 72 seats, while Shiv Sena is ahead in 27 seats. The Shiv Sena-UBT (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) is leading in two seats.
 
The Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation has seen a strong performance by the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi, with 63 of its candidates emerging victorious. The BJP has secured 24 seats in the region.
 
In the Panvel Municipal Corporation elections, the BJP has won 31 seats, while Congress has secured four, Shiv Sena two, Shiv Sena-UBT six, and NCP and NCP-SP have won one seat each.
 
In Bhiwandi, all four candidates of the Konark Vikas Aghadi have been declared victorious.
 
In Ulhasnagar, the BJP has won 19 seats, followed by Shiv Sena, who have bagged 16, and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi two, while Congress and the MNS have secured one seat each.
 
In Kalyan-Dombivli, the BJP and Shiv Sena are both leading in 28 seats each. The Shiv Sena-UBT is ahead in two seats, while the MNS is leading in four seats.
