Union Ministers and Senior BJP Leaders have criticised the alleged insulting remarks made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. In a social media post, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that low-level language toward a democratically elected Prime Minister is not only condemnable, but it also exposes the Congress’s mindset, culture, and political bankruptcy. He added that this is not merely a personal remark, but an insult to the mandate of the people of the country and to democratic institutions.
Demanding an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and DMK Chief M.K Stalin, over Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks, Piyush Goyal said that the Congress and DMK have stooped to a new low by insulting the Prime Minister, who has been democratically elected by the people of India. Mr Goyal further added that Congress and DMK have humiliated 140 crore Indians.
Dharmendra Pradhan also criticized Congress President’s remarks. He said that using such inappropriate language reflects his conduct and his political understanding.
Meanwhile, BJP President Nitin Nabin said that when the countries’ women are demanding accountability from the Congress regarding their rights, such low-level remarks reflects the party’s frustration. He also demanded an apology from Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi to the country for such a statement.
